VIDEO SURFACES OF SETH RICH NEIGHBOR’S TESTIMONY AS TO WHAT HE SAW THE NIGHT OF THE MURDER

Scott Roberts claimed to be Seth Rich’s neighbor…a neighbor who also identified Seth Rich moments after he was shot.

The Gateway Pundit reports…

Mueller says police walked Seth Rich past him after he was shot to identify him and said that Rich ‘didn’t even know he was shot’. He tried to comfort others at the vigil saying Seth Rich didn’t feel physical pain.

A vigil was held for slain DNC staffer, Seth Rich where Debbie Wasserman Schultz was also in attendance.

An eyewitness came forward saying, “I was there when he (Seth Rich) got shot and they walked him past me so that I could see him and identify him because I knew him in the neighborhood, and the police officer said, ‘he didn’t even know he was shot’.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This was a political assassination, pure and simple, in retaliation for the DNC understanding that Rich was the leaker to Wikileaks, and make others in the party realise that the penalty for "snitching" was sure and certain murder.

US SEIZE DOTCOM’S ASSETS, DESPITE HIM NEVER STEPPING FOOT IN THE US

Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom has effectively abandoned all hope of retrieving millions of dollars of capital, real estate and luxury goods after the US Justice Department formally filed an asset-forfeiture with the Supreme Court on Friday. The case is unprecedented as Dotcom has never once stepped-foot on US soil. The US claim jurisdiction over Dotcom because his site Megaupload operated some servers from the US.

Settlement, Soft Coup, Realignment or Regional War: 4 Scenarios for Qatar Crisis

The Russian International Affairs Council, a powerful Moscow-based think tank, estimates that there are four scenarios for resolving the ongoing diplomatic conflict between Qatar and other Arab and Muslim states. Written by renowned Middle East observer Vitaly Naumkin, the report outlines what Russia and its regional allies should be prepared for.

Under the first scenario, the parties resolve their differences as a result of mediation by regional and world powers. Doha will be forced to make some concessions, but will not be asked to sacrifice its key foreign policy initiatives, including friendly relations with Iran, and links to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The second scenario sees mediation efforts fail, and pressure on Qatar escalate. Amid threats of even more severe struggle, the emirate's leadership is forced to resign, and is replaced in a soft change of power scenario.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One thing Naumkin does not take into consideration here, is the absolute blood lust shared by Israel; Saudi Arabia; and the US government for regime change in Tehran, and soon.

And the US government and military are very excellent at maintaining wars which should have been over months and years ago, save for US military involvement; Naumkin should ask Syria's Bashar Al-Assad about that.

Regime changing Qatar's government, and making it more antagonistic toward Iran, and using the 11,000 US troops serving there, together with Saudi troops, plus the US Navy's 5th Fleet, stationed in Bahrain, could mount up to a formidable fighting force against Iran.

But the big question which people in Riyadh; DC, and Tel Aviv need to be asking themselves is, if the US goes up against Iran militarily, what will Russia do?!?

In this case, I am not of the opinion that the Duma is just going to sit around and sing "Kumbyah", but will authorise immediate military action on Iran's side, should the US and Saudi Arabia attempt to invade Iran, supported by Israeli intelligence.

Bratton thinks Europe-like terror attacks are headed for the US

Recent acts of terror in Europe are the “new normal” — and surely coming soon to the United States, former NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton ominously warned Sunday.

Evildoers have stepped up attacks on soft targets — such as London Bridge, Manchester Arena and Bastille Day in Nice — in the past 12 months, making a similar terrorist strike on American soil inevitable, Bratton told “The Cats Roundtable.”

“(European-style terror attacks are) going to be the new normal in our world,” Bratton told interviewer John Catsimatidis on AM 970. “The pace of terrorist attacks, certainly in Europe, has been increasing.” Bratton warned: “That type of attack is quite likely to occur in the United States at some point in time.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bill Bratton, a word, please; Heaven forbid, should such attacks happen in the US, they will demonstrate, incontrovertibly, and conclusively, that all the surveillance which has been put into place; all the gropedowns by TSA goons at the airports; and all the alleged "security" which has been put into place, has been impotently useless, and a complete, utter waste of taxpayer time and money.

Trump Just Dropped Chemical Weapons in a Major City, 100,000 Civilians Trapped

President Trump is now doing the unthinkable – in his war on terror, he has resorted to the use of chemical weapons.

Multiple reports are confirming that a US-led Coalition used white phosphorus-loaded ammunition in heavily populated cities of Iraq and Syria. Thousands of civilians are known to be in the areas where the weapons were used according to The Washington Post.

Use of such weapons violates international humanitarian law due to the types of injuries it can cause when other weapons are available to do the job. While white phosphorus isn’t exactly outlawed by the Geneva Convention, it is still illegal to use in densely populated areas. And, here’s why:

“When a white phosphorus shell explodes, the chemical inside reacts with the air, creating a thick white cloud. When it comes in contact with flesh, it can maim and kill by burning to the bone.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, has anyone happened to mention to you that the use of such weapons, particularly against heavy concentrations of civilians, is a war crime?!?

Well, Mr. President, I JUST DID!!!

And I must tell you also; I am profoundly unhappy about being a citizen of a country whose leadership is very comfortable committing war crimes!!

Russian FM Warns US Not to Strike Syrian Pro-Government Forces

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in a phone call Saturday with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, warned that Russia considers the recent US attacks on pro-government forces in southern Syria categorically unacceptable, and said the US must take steps to prevent any further clashes of this sort.

The US had multiple recent incidents in which they’ve attacked Shi’ite militia forces in southern Syria, accusing them of getting too close to a rebel base which has US personnel stationed in it. The indications, however, are that the Shi’ite militias in the region have been attacking ISIS and al-Qaeda forces, not the US-backed rebels at al-Tanf.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope Trump's administration is listening, here; one more (deliberate) slip up, and the US government and military could well find itself at war with Russia over Syria; or, has that been the plan all along?!?

I don't know what the Vegas odds are here of the US and Russia going to war in Syria against each other might be, but I would suggest that we may be looking at a "when" issue here, rather than an "if" issue right now.

Israel, Saudis, UAE Lobby Congress for Anti-Qatar Legislation

While Israel has been unable to directly join the Saudi-led move to “blockade” Qatar, having very limited contact with them in the first place, that hasn’t stopped them from throwing their substantial lobbying support behind a move already backed by Saudi and Emirati lobbyists to see the US Congress pass anti-Qatar legislation.

The HR 2712 bill, the Palestinian International Terrorism Support Prevention Act of 2017, faults Qatar for its support for the Hamas Movement, The bill’s sponsors in the House include a number of lawmakers who have received substantial donations from pro-Israel lobbyists, and donations from pro-Saudi lobbyists as well.

This is part of an ongoing allegation that Qatar’s charitable contributions are going to terrorist movements. Qatar denies that this is the case, saying that the government has been very successful in ensuring that the charities they support actually do charitable work, and don’t simply end up laundering the money to terrorist movements.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The threat of an imminent invasion into Qatar may have been stayed for now, thanks to the rapid action of both Turkey and Iran, pledging troops for Qatar.

However, that being said, look for Israel and the US government to conjure up some horrific false flag to blame on Iran (the real target, here), in the not too distant future, as a "justification" for invading it.

And Iran's "real crimes" here?!? Oh, let me count them for you:

1. Not having a private central bank, which loans money at interest, instead of for a fixed fee, which creates no compound interest.

2. Having a Constitutional Islamic Republic (Israel has no constitution whatsoever)

3. Doing a great job of educating their kids to become competitive on the world stage. In Iran, around 70% of science and engineering students are women

"Burn Them And Their Families": As ISIS Crumbles, Vigilantes Run Amok in Iraq

Authored by Daniel Lang via SHTFplan.com

It’s hard to appreciate the effect ISIS has had on ordinary Iraqis and Syrians who wanted nothing to do with the terror group.

There are cities in these countries that have been ruled by these monsters for several years. Monsters whose cruelty and depravity knows no bounds. Most people in the West can’t imagine what that must be like, because the vast majority of us have never lived under those conditions.

So what does happens to people who have been living under ISIS for so long?

Well, try to imagine what you would do if a bunch of lunatics had been running your community for several years. Imagine if they had cut you off from the outside world, tortured and killed family members and neighbors, sold female relatives into sexual slavery, and indoctrinated your children.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a direct result, and consequence, of the both US military's invasions of Iraq and the current strikes against the Syrian army, loyal to Al-Assad.

SAUDI ARABIA’S ATTACK ON QATAR UNRAVELS

A week into the crisis Saudi Arabia instigated when it broke diplomatic relations with Qatar and imposed a land and air blockade of the tiny Gulf state, it is becoming clear that it is failing to bring Qatar to heel.

Instead Qatar has successfully secured pledges of support from Turkey and Iran – the two military giants in this region – appears to have the tacit support of Kuwait, and is gaining diplomatic traction with Russia.

As for the US, though US President Trump has seemed to tilt to Saudi Arabia’s side in this quarrel, US Secretary of State Tillerson – who as a former oil executive must know this region well – seems intent on taking a more conciliatory line towards Qatar, calling for the blockade on Qatar to be lifted. I have no doubt it will be his counsels which in the US will eventually prevail.

Did James Comey Cover Up a Massive and Illegal FBI-CIA Spying Operation?

he Senate Judiciary Committee is considering whether to subpoena former FBI Director James Comey to appear before the committee following his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday. He initially had refused a request to testify to the Judiciary Committee.

Should Comey appear before the Judiciary Committee, he may be asked about his disclosure that he gave a “close friend” memos detailing his meetings with President Donald Trump. But he may also face questions about the bombshell lawsuit, filed Monday by a former U.S. intelligence contractor, that accused the FBI and CIA of illegally spying on millions of Americans, including Donald Trump, and accuses Comey of covering it up.

Dennis Montgomery, the former contractor, reportedly passed his findings on to the FBI and is now alleging that the intelligence agencies buried the follow-up investigation, according to a report from Circa.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pentagon Uses New Authority to Strike Somali Terrorist Outpost

The U.S. military used the expanded authority President Donald Trump granted to the Pentagon in March to strike a terrorist outpost in Somalia on Sunday, officials said.

Together with Somali partners, the Pentagon used a drone to target a command and control and logistics hub 185 miles southwest of Mogadishu — the nation’s capital — to kill multiple fighters with al-Shabab, a terrorist organization aligned with al-Qaeda, according to the Pentagon.

The outpost was described by a military official as a mid-level operation, not a high value target.

According to Pentagon Chief Spokeswoman Dana W. White, the bombing was in response to al-Shabab’s recent attacks on the Somali military and used the new authority the Department of Defense received from Trump.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We are told, by the presstitutes, that the US military is in Somalia to, allegedly "fight terror".

However, the painfully honest reasons for the US intervening in Somalia are the same for all other US military interventions; to regime change a government if it is not to the US government's liking (or protect it, if it is); expropriating that country's resources to which neither the US government, nor its minion multinational corporations have any moral right; and make sure that those resources are only sold in American dollars.

And if you don't believe me, please take a good, long look at the following article from indexmundi.com:

IRAN CLAIMS PROOF OF 'DIRECT US SUPPORT" FOR ISIS DAYS AFTER CONGRESSMAN DANA ROHRABACHER FLOATS THE IDEA

Last Thursday, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher praised ISIS for coordinated terrorist attacks in Tehran which left 17 civilians dead - then suggested that the United States should support the terrorist organization in their endeavors to bring regime change to Iran, comparing the situation to working with Stalin's Russia to get Hitler.

Rohrabacher: Isn't it a good thing for us to have Untied States finally backing up Sunnis who will attack Hezbollah and the Shiite threat to us? Isn't that a good thing? And if so, maybe this is a Trump strategy of actually supporting one group against another considering that you have terrorist organizations.

Maybe it's a good idea to have radical Muslim terrorists fighting each other?

Dr. Asher: Having coordinated the economic warfare plan against the Islamic State, I would not condone an attack by the Islamic State. I would be determined to destroy them.

Webmaster's Commentary:

General Izadi is absolutely correct in his assessment here.

And it is a damned shame that there is no Congressional equivalent to the 25th Amendment, when congress critters can no longer perform their jobs for their alleged constituents.

Because when Congressman Rohrabacher lauds an assassination attack against innocent Iranians, he is not doing his job for his constituents; all violence, as a way to resolve geopolitical issues, must be universally condemned, period, end of discussion.

And I really want to know; what is this alleged "Shiite threat" to which he alludes in these statements?!?

To the best of my knowledge, Iranians just want to be left alone, compete for business, fairly, in the world marketplace, and raise their children to be intellectually capable, and land decent, well-paying jobs.

When in the name of heaven did these desires become a "threat", except to Israel and Saudi Arabi, which consider Iran an alleged "existential threat", and wants regime change to happen here in the worst way, but insists that this only be brought about with American blood and American money, but not their own?!?

And does Congressman Rohrabacher remember which Middle Eastern country had an election recently?!? (Hint: it was NOT Saudi Arabia, sir!!)

THE DEA’S WARRANTLESS CASH GRAB

Do you want to know the dirty secret about how the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) confiscates suspected drug traffickers’ money? The truth is, it’s not hard: Agents just go to an airport and wait for cash to drop into their laps.

A March report by the Justice Department’s inspector general (I.G.) found the DEA seized a whopping $4 billion in cash over the past decade using civil asset forfeiture, mostly from airports, train stations, and bus terminals.

Contrary to DEA rhetoric, these seizures have little to do with ongoing criminal investigations and everything to do with bringing in money. In 81 percent of the cases the I.G. reviewed, there were no accompanying criminal charges.

A 2016 investigation by USA Today found the DEA regularly mines American citizens’ travel information and relies on a network of confidential informants in the travel industry, who often get kickbacks for snooping on suspicious passengers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Be very careful about the amount of money you are carrying when you travel; the DEA could steal all of it from you, even if there is no real probable cause that the money was dirty, or to be used for evil intent.

SAUDI ARABIA BECOMES PRO-KURDISH AFTER TURKEY SIDES WITH QATAR

This could be the beginning of a new alignment that will elevate the Russian position in the region while diminishing the influence of the United States.

The new and seemingly prolonged row between Saudi Arabia and Qatar is having some curious and almost shocking knock-on effects.

The most interesting is that Syrian media has been reporting that attacks and even mobilisations from many Gulfi funded terrorists in Syria have declined.

Likewise, state-run Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera has suddenly discovered the extent of Saudi war crimes in Yemen after ignoring the story until last week when Qatar’s exit from the Saudi coalition was formalised.

But by far the most strange development thus far is the newfound Saudi love for the cause of Kurdish nationalism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These re-alignments remind me of the phrase, very common in the Middle East, that "The enemy of my enemy is my friend!"

Macron, not Le Pen, to turn state of emergency into common law

Emmanuel Macron very quickly made it official: He will introduce a bill which will transform extraordinary state of emergency powers into regular police practice.

According to Le Monde, which saw a leaked copy of the bill: “…almost all the measures of the state of emergency will be found in common law.”

What this means is that the post-Charlie Hebdo war hysteria has not only never stopped, but will have become the new, permanent normal: Anyone can be arrested, searched and detained with just a simple accusation. Judges simply need to be “informed”; police have carte blanche.

And now he is suing former FBI Director James Comey and other government figures, alleging the bureau has covered up evidence he provided them showing widespread spying on Americans that violated civil liberties.

We've Lost All Sense Of The Common Good

The theory of American civics is that the competitive process of every group advocating for its narrow self-interests will magically generate the Common Good, that is, a political and social order that serves everyone's common/shared interests.

Unfortunately, that's not how civic life functions in real-world America. We have completely lost any sense of a Common Good. All we have now is a cut-throat competition between entrenched special interests for a fatter slice of the pie while the bottom 95% have essentially no political voice and a rapidly diminishing say in the economy.

CrowdStrike, The DNC’s Security Firm, Was Under Contract With The FBI

Claims of “Russian interference” have been ubiquitous in U.S. political discourse for almost a full year now; these often amount to a melange of allegations ranging from “hacking” to “influence campaigns” to “online trolls” sent by the Kremlin to harangue unsuspecting Midwestern voters. “Hacking,” however, remains the centerpiece of the narrative?—?the idea that Russian state actors “hacked” the Democratic National Committee and exfiltrated emails is routinely cited as the centerpiece of the overall “interference” thesis. After the alleged hacking, the DNC retained a private security firm?—?CrowdStrike?—?which made the determination that the Russian government was responsible, setting into motion a chain of Russia-related events that continue to unfold even now.

Qatar's Al Jazeera TV says it has come under cyber attack

DOHA: Pan-Arab satellite network Al Jazeera is combating a large-scale cyber attack on its media platform, but all its entities remain operational, a company source said on Thursday.

"There were attempts made on the cyber security of Al Jazeera but we are combating them and currently all our entities are operational," said a senior employee who declined to be named.

Al Jazeera is the flagship broadcaster for Qatar, which is in a stand-off with fellow Arab states which accuse it of ties to terrorism, in a row that is endangering stability in the region.

Qatar Will Pay John Ashcroft $2.5 Million To Defend Against Terrorism Accusations

As a reminder, Ashcroft was U.S. attorney general under President George W. Bush from February 2001 to February 2005, years in which US policies and laws were reshaped by the so-called war on terrorism that followed the 2001 al Qaeda attacks. Under Ashcroft the US spawned the "Patriot Act", trampling over civil rights everywhere, and made pervasive spying on virtually everyone the norm, courtesy of the NSA.

Perhaps relying on the assumption that Qatar can simply bribe its way again into America's good graces - recall Qatar give Bill Clinton a $1 million "present" for his Birthday, and was one of the biggest foreign "donors" of the Clinton Foundation even when Hillary was still at the State Department...

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly do not believe, for a moment, that Saudi Arabia and the US will give Qatar the "grace period" for which it has asked; if, in fact, both countries are looking at war against Iran, things have to move swiftly, and without delay.

So look for some very terrible false flag to happen very soon to be blamed on the Qatari government, and then we are...off and running into a war against Iran, which will most probably mean a war with Russia.

U.S. Weeks Away From A Recession According To Latest Loan Data

While many "conventional" indicators of US economic vibrancy and strength have lost their informational and predictive value over the past decade (GDP fluctuates erratically especially in Q1, employment is the lowest this century yet real wage growth is non-existent, inflation remains under the Fed's target despite its $4.5 trillion balance sheet and so on), one indicator has remained a stubbornly fail-safe marker of economic contraction: since the 1960, every time Commercial & Industrial loan balances have declined (or simply stopped growing), whether due to tighter loan supply or declining demand, a recession was already either in progress or would start soon.

This can be seen on both the linked chart, and the one zoomed in below, which shows the uncanny correlation between loan growth and economic recession.

Pakistan Hands Down First Death Sentence for Social Media Blasphemy

What happens when high technology meets harsh religious traditions? That’s right: death sentences for digital blasphemy.

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Pakistan has sentenced a man to death for sharing "blasphemous content about Islam" on social media, according to a report by Dawn.
The 30-year-old convict, who reportedly belongs to the Shia community, was arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), in Bahawalpur city in eastern Pakistan.

According to the court, the offender posted derogatory content about prominent Sunni religious figures and the Prophet Muhammad and his views on Facebook.

The man faced charges on two sections of the law, one of them covering the use of derogatory remarks towards the Prophet Mohammad, and the other involving inducing sectarian hatred.

The death penalty is the harshest of cyber-crime sentences in Pakistan so far. If it is implemented, it would be the first time Pakistan has officially executed anyone for blasphemy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, a word, please.

As reported at Wikipedia.com:

At least 241 people were sentenced to death in Pakistan in 2005, and at least 31 were executed – the fifth highest number in the world. Pakistan ranked fifth (total cases – not per capita) after the People's Republic of China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United States.[7] The moratorium expired on 30 June 2013 and the government announced it had no plan to extend it. The government stated there will be no general amnesty for the convicts waiting for execution.[8] As of 4 July 2013, Amnesty International estimated there are more than 8,000 prisoners on death row.[9] The European Union (EU) has sharply reacted over lifting of the moratorium on the death penalty in Pakistan, and has demanded its immediate restoration, which had been in place since 2008.[10]

Execution for ...blasphemy?!?

President Hussain, would you like to remind me, please, in what century the world finds itself right now?!?

Sir, I believe, by all reasonable accounts, we are in the 21st century.

And if this man is, in fact, executed by hanging for his alleged 'blasphemy', this act is going to make the Pakistani government, even with its nuclear weapons capability, look mentally medieval, and thoroughly unhinged; is this, please, how you want Pakistan to be viewed at this portion of the 21st century?!?

There are many stories about the compassion of Mohammed:

Stories about the compassion of Mohammed

Perhaps some compassion, translated into a commutation of his sentence, coupled with religious dialogue, might be a better answer than execution here.

President Hussain, the world will be watching on this case.

US State Department Reviewing Mishandling of Classified Info by Hillary Clinton

The US State Department in a letter to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley said it is reviewing the mishandling of classified information that passed through former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's email server.

"The Department initiated a review of the handling of classified information in this matter," the letter, released by Grassley on Friday, said.

The letter said the investigation was ongoing and could result in the loss of security clearances if any violations took place.

The department, the letter added, waited to begin its review until after the Federal Bureau of Investigation concluded its own probe into the matter, "in order to avoid prejudicing the FBI's investigation."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This could, potentially, get interesting; that is, of course, unless one of the investigators finds a horse's head in their bed, or disappears, as has, apparently, Clinton's tech guru, Bryan Palmiero, to avoid testifying in response to a Congressional subpoena.

Theresa May's Plan To Regulate The Internet Won't Stop Terrorism; It Might Make Things Worse

While May's desire for a strong response is easy to understand, her call for more expansive internet regulation and censorship is wrongheaded and will make it harder to win the war against violent extremism.

May didn't specify the details of her proposal, but to many observers it was clear that she's asking for sweeping new powers to compel tech companies to help spy on citizens and censor online content. Unfortunately, this isn't simply a knee-jerk response to horrible circumstances, but reflects a longstanding ambition of May's Conservative Party to impose draconian controls on cyberspace.

LAWMAKER BUSTED FOR DRUNK DRIVING WANTS TO RESTRICT MEDICAL MARIJUANA USE

A Florida lawmaker caught driving drunk just a few months ago voted today to keep smoked medical cannabis illegal in the state. Cary Pigman, a Republican congressman representing the 55th District in Florida came out strongly against allowing smokable marijuana in the bill that passed today in response to voters’ decision last year to allow for medical marijuana.

Amendment 2 was a restrictive medical marijuana proposition that “supported legalizing medical marijuana for individuals with specific debilitating diseases or comparable debilitating conditions as determined by a licensed state physician,” Ballotpedia notes.

The measure passed overwhelmingly in the election, and now lawmakers have hammered out the details. Among them is reportedly the prohibition on smoking marijuana, a form of treatment has been documented to help provide relief a wide range of illnesses and symptoms, including HIV-related complications, neuropathic pain, and chronic pain.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would be reasonably certain that some of this legislator's campaign funds came from both corporations producing liquor, and pharmaceuticals, because unless they are able to get out in front, and quickly, and produce marijuana themselves, they are terrified of how the production of this plant will cut into their businesses.

New York Attorney General 'looking into' Eric Trump foundation practices

They can't get Trump for the BEX Russia Gate,so now they go after Trump's children.
Despicable these people are. Trump needs to get some Jack Dempsey killer instinct going and get some Federal Grand Juries going on these bums!

June 10 (UPI) -- The office of New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is "looking into" the Eric Trump Foundation.

Eric Soufer, a spokesman for Schneiderman's office, said it began examining the charitable foundation founded by President Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, after a report in Forbes that raised questions about practices by the foundation which seemed to violate state laws.

The IRS Can Seize Your Money Based on a Hunch. This Bill Will Bring That to an End.

The IRS, not content with expropriating the wealth of its citizens on April 15 every year, has now taken up the practice of seizing funds that have been involved in perfectly legal transactions on the basis of a hunch.

Thankfully, legislation in the House and the Senate has been introduced to bring this practice to a halt. Both chambers should act on the bills swiftly.

urrent law circumvents ancient concepts like due process and innocence until guilt is proven. The federal government then places the burden of reclaiming the assets on the citizen it targeted.

This situation threatens the liberty of American citizens.

The Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration conducted a review of this practice and concluded in a March 30 report that the IRS “criminal investigators mainly pursued law-abiding citizens and businesses when seizing assets in civil forfeiture cases because they were easier to go after.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet that this legislation will, in fact, come to pass, as attractive and reasonable as this legislation sounds.

The IRS has become a Frankenstinian, out of control monster, and the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, upon which this was founded, was never legally ratified.

WHY IS ISIS ATTACKING THE PHILIPPINES?

As ISIS moves across the world, conveniently popping up wherever America wants to touch down, the fact that the terrorist organization is an American creation is becoming more and more obvious to many people. Regardless, the news that ISIS recently managed not only to conduct terror attacks in the Philippines but was able to seize and occupy an entire city caught many people by surprise. Indeed, for those who are unaware of the nature and history of the terrorist organization and what role American imperialism plays in regards to its activity, the recent events in the Philippines no doubt have many Americans absolutely befuddled.

As the Independent article “ISIS-Linked Militants Behead Police Chief And Take Priest And Churchgoers Hostage In Philippines City,” reported on May 24,

A Catholic priest and churchgoers have been taken hostage by Isis-linked militants attempting to seize control of a city in the Philippines, while the local police chief has been beheaded.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Duterte could not be "controlled" by the US and the West; therefore, he is being "made to pay the price" for his independence.

WHY HAS THE GCC AND EGYPT TURNED ON QATAR?

It is important to note which countries in the anti-Syria coalition are not part of the anti-Qatar coalition, specifically Turkey. The one thing Turkey and Qatar have in common besides funding and facilitating terrorists for the purpose of overthrowing the Syrian government, is support for the Muslim Brotherhood. After all, Turkey’s Erdogan has long supported the MB and has maintained close ties with them for years. Turkey is also currently debating the possibility of deploying Turkish troops to a base in Qatar.

So what we are seeing is, in part, an anti-Muslim Brotherhood coalition with the focus being placed on Qatar, the country which is seen as being perhaps the biggest patron of the organization.

The Iranian Element

Webmaster's Commentary:

All of these elements, taken together, appear to be leading toward an ultimate Saudi proxy war against Iran, supported by the US and Israel, which will, almost inevitably, lead to a war against Russia, whose military and political class have, very publicly, stated that any attack on Iran will have Russia come to defend it, militarily.

And I very frankly think that we are looking at a question of "when", rather than "if".

The current regimes in DC, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh want to see the current regime in Tehran crushed, and by any means necessary, in order to install a western-centric puppet, as the US military and intelligence agencies did in 1953, and renew the curse of private central banking in this country.

President Rouhani, the Iranian Parliament, and the Iranian military, have every reason to be concerned about this demonisation of Qatar, and where it might be leading, geopolitically and militarily.

Judge in Bundy Ranch Case Wants Defendants In Chains For Trial

In the case of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA VS. Cliven Bundy et al, Judge Gloria Navarro has demanded the defendants all wear chains throughout their trials. The simple question is, why? These are men who have demonstrated they are not violent nor have they attempted to escape from the prison system they have been incarcerated in for almost a year and a half.

In a response to the order by Judge Navarro, attorney for Pete Santilli, Chris Rasmussen, cited the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in May 2017 to bolster the claim that his client's rights are being violated, as are all the other defendants in the case.

"Peter Santilli hereby asserts his Fifth Amendment right to be present in Court without shackles," reads the motion.

Seoul Will Honor THAAD Agreement with US - South Korean Security Chief

South Korea’s national security adviser has said that Seoul will abide by its agreement with the US on deploying the controversial Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system (THAAD), as North Korea continues to pose “very serious and urgent threat.”

This statement follows North Korea’s claim that it has tested a new type of missile that could strike South Korean and US warships "at will" if attacked.

Four missiles were fired Thursday that traveled 125 miles before landing in the sea off North Korea’s east coast, according to South Korea national security head Chung Eui-yong.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Wow, that was a huge, and amazing turnaround, on the part of the South Korean Government...

President Trump Demands Qatar Stop Funding Terrorists

"Stop funding, stop teaching hate, and stop the killing," US President Donald Trump said Friday during a news conference with the Romanian president after alleging that Doha has propped up Islamist extremists.

"No more funding," Trump emphasized. His comments come following the diplomatic row that erupted last week between Qatar and major Middle East powers like Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Mattis Aware of Steps Planned to Isolate Qatar - Pentagon
The "high level" of support — whether it be financial, logistical or moral — for terror groups originating in Doha must stop, the president said.

"I want to call on all of the nations to stop immediately supporting terrorism," Trump reiterated.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is painfully obvious that Tillerson's remarks earlier today were simply for American public consumption, as though the US government had absolutely nothing to do with greenlighting this coming war.

We are in a place now, where there can be no speculation about "if" a war against Qatar, and ultimately Iran, is going to happen; we are in a place of "when" such a war will happen.

My gut is telling me, sooner rather than later.

I have to wonder what the orders are for those 11,000 US service members in Qatar are going to be, once the fertilizer hits the ventilation shaft.

Ray Dalio Warns We May Be On A Path To "Dictatorships And Wars"

"There are times when politics becomes the most important driver... In some cases it led to democracies becoming dictatorships, and wars. I am not saying that we are on that path, but I am saying that it has to be watched out for because if it is in the works, it is a really big deal."

Tillerson Tells Arab States To Lift Qatar Blockade: "It's Hindering The Campaign Against ISIS"

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called on the Saudi Arabia-led coalition, which includes UAE, Bahrain and Egypt and others, to lift its blockade of Qatar, saying that the cutoff is hindering the fight against the (Qatar-funded) Islamic State. Tillerson also said the blockade had led to food shortages and forced families to uproot themselves and pull their children from school.

“We believe there are unintended consequences, especially during this holy month of Ramadan but they can be addressed immediately,” Tillerson said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I applaud President Trump's Tillerson's approach to attempting to resolve this issue; and yes, it is horrifically awkward, because the US government has alliances on both sides of the issue, and Qatar hosts about 11,000 US service members.

But that being said, I am concerned that Tillerson doesn't know with whom he is dealing, between the Royal House of Saud, the Saudi government, and Saudi military. The concept of "face" is critically important in the Middle East, and unless he and President Trump can figure out a way to get the Saudis to back down without appearing to have "lost face" on this issue.

And after his visit to Saudi Arabia, Trump may have just given the Saudis the indication that they had a "green light" to go ahead with this blockade; if so, that has got to be undone, and quickly.

ISIS Ramps Up Attacks on Civilians; 477 Killed in Iraq

The United Nations said the organization is investigating airstrikes that took place on May 31 in Mosul. At the time, it was unclear whether they occurred or which forces were behind what was described as a “carpet bombing.” About 50-80 people were killed; 47 deaths were previously recorded. The U.N. also reported hundreds more Islamic State killings in recent weeks.

Conditions at the Khazir displacement camp near Mosul are deteriorating with summer coming on. Uncomfortable heat, increasing numbers of insects and reptiles, and an outbreak of scabies are making residents miserable and ill.

The United States criticized the upcoming Kurdish independence referendum as a distraction from more important issues such as the war against the Islamic State militants. Germany expressed concern that the referendum could worsen sectarian tension. Meanwhile, the Iraqi Turkoman Front (ITF), an umbrella group of political parties, rejected the referendum.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is officially horrible, and the numbers are probably far worse than these estimates.

And as to the Kurdish Referendum coming in September, we will most likely see yet more civil war in Iraq, because the Kurdish referendum is completely against the will of what is left of the Iraqi government.

And we may see regime change in Baghdad, coming from within.

Anyone out there remember the fiery cleric, Muqtada Al Sadr?!? The guy who ultimately told the US that they had to get out of town in Iraq, at precisely the date and time stated by the SOFA agreement, or else he was going to send his Mahdi army after every American in Iraq?!?

Yeah, that guy!!

Well, he is looking - and sounding - as though he wants to make a run for the
next Iraqi election. Here is what he said regarding Macron's election, this last May:

Iraqi prominent cleric Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr said on Sunday he was looking forward to an "interfaith and inter-civilization dialogue" with France under newly-elected president Emmanuel Macron. The leader of Sadrist Movement described Macron's presidential win as a victory for the moderate politicians in Europe. In a statement, al-Sadr said, "Despite the recent ascend of evil powers in Europe, we find the extremist ideology recessed with the victory of Macron in France, and it is a very important European country". He also expressed hopes the latest developments would lead to expelling all extremist figures from Europe.

Call me silly, but I find this outreach for dialogue, very intelligent; reasonable; and he can hardly do worse than the current President of Iraq, Fuad Masum.

Of course, the US would be horrifically upset if Al-Sadr actually won the election, because there would be no guarantee that Iraq's oil would be US controlled and sold only in the US dollar, as it is now.

Water supplies cut to Kiev-controlled settlements due to government’s troops shellingMore:http://tass.com/world/950640

Water supplies to Kiev-controlled settlements in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donbass were cut after the government troops shelled a water supply facility near the village of Yasinovataya, a negotiator of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said.
"The vast majority of citizens, who were affected by the water supply cuts, reside on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government," said Denis Pushilin, the head of the DPR delegation to the reconciliation talks in Minsk.
"Although our citizens faced no major disruptions due to a timely effort by our utility services, residents of about 40 settlements on the opposite side of the contact line will be a lot less lucky," the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as saying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WHY were these soldiers ordered to shoot up their own water resources?!? Who would have made such a bone-headed decision, and why?!?

US-BACKED FORCES ENTER RAQQA AS COALITION DROPS WHITE PHOSPHORUS BOMBS

In what some speculate may be the beginning of the end for Daesh (ISIS), the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) entered Raqqa – Daesh’s Syrian stronghold – for the first time on Tuesday. SDF commander Rojda Felat told the AFP news agency that the group is “fighting street battles inside Raqqa now, and we have experience in urban warfare.” The advance came after heavy airstrikes by the U.S.-led coalition, which killed more than 20 civilians trying to flee the offensive by boat.

The push for the U.S.-backed SDF to claim Raqqa from Daesh has been in the works for over seven months, having only been made possible by U.S.-led coalition air support, thousands of military advisers and deliveries of heavy weapons. While the U.S.-led coalition, particularly the U.S. itself, claims that this support is all for the common cause of eradicating Daesh, their plans for Raqqa following a Daesh defeat could make the future goal of a united Syria all but impossible to achieve.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but if these reports about the purported US use of white phosphorous and cluster bomb weapons are true, isn't the use of both white phosphorus and cluster bomb weapons banned, internationally, for use against civilians?!?

It appears that the US military is rapidly going rogue, with an "ends justify the means" attitude (now, where have we heard THAT before?!?), and a completely cavalier "Assassinations R Us" level of insensitivity to civilian deaths.

JOHN MCCAIN’S INCOHERENT QUESTIONING OF JAMES COMEY SHOWS WHY WE NEED TERM LIMITS

Does America really need a permanent ruling class of career politicians? According to Real Clear Politics, right now Congress has an average approval rating of just 18.8 percent. It is an institution that is dominated by politicians that are able to keep winning elections over and over again because they are extremely good at raising money. And our permanent ruling class of politicians has learned that it greatly pays to pander to the special interests and the wealthy donors that are able to inject large amounts of cash into their campaigns. This incestuous system produces many incumbents that are almost unbeatable, and the result is that some of these Congress critters end up staying in Washington much, much longer than they should.

On Thursday, we witnessed a perfect example of this. Senator John McCain’s incoherent questioning of James Comey got so much attention on social media that USA Today did a whole story about it…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mc Cain has become an absolute embarrassment to both the voters of his state Arizona) and the entire country as well.

And yes, term limits in Congress would be a very good way to go, as well as insuring that all financial issues be put in a blind trust, the moment they take the oath of office.

And raising money is a part of staying in power; the other factor, which the author of this article, apparently, does not want to address is vote manipulation by electronic means. RUSSIA’S FOOD SHIPMENTS TO QATAR ARE A SOFT POWER MASTERSTROKE

The Qatari-Saudi Cold War is a geopolitical scheme cooked up by the US and the UAE, as I explained in my 21st Century Wire article about “The Machiavellian Plot to Provoke Saudi Arabia and Qatar into a “Blood Border” War”, but it’s not exactly a surprise that it happened. My September 2016 forward-looking analysis about “The GCC: The Tripartite’s Big Barter In The ‘Eurasian Balkans’” presciently forecast that a second round of Gulf tensions was bound to occur, and that the Great Power Tripartite of Russia, Iran, and Turkey could cooperate with Qatar in helping to break Riyadh’s stranglehold on the GCC. Moreover, my Geopolitica.Ru analysis from earlier this week about “Russia’s Energy Diplomacy In The Mideast: Boom Or Bust?” accurately predicted that Russia will play a role in mediating tensions between the two feuding GCC countries, which has now officially come to pass with the Qatari Foreign Minister’s visit to Moscow this weekend.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As always, Putin is a million chess moves ahead of everyone else in this geopolitical "realignment" in the Middle East.

U.S. TWITTER ERUPTS OVER NEWS THAT HILLARY CLINTON USED BLACK PRISON LABOR WHILE FIRST LADY OF ARKANSAS

Twitter users have reacted with surprise and fury over excerpts from Hillary Clinton’s 1996 book It Takes A Village. On June 6,Jeanette Jing, an activist with over 33,000 followers on Twitter who supports Clinton’s Democratic opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders, shared two pages of the work in which Clinton reminisces about the black prisoners who worked in the Arkansas governor’s mansion she shared with her husband, Bill Clinton, who led the state from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1992.

“When we moved in, I was told that using prison labor at the governor’s mansion was a longstanding tradition, which kept down costs,” Clinton writes. She adds that most of the workers were convicted murderers and she became friendly with “a few of them, African-American men in their thirties who had already served 12 to 18 years of their sentences.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

If, in fact, these allegations are true, welcome...to the Real Hillary Clinton!!

And talking about moral illiterates, didn't she understand that the use of prison labor in this manner is completely, morally wrong?!?

A LONDON ATTACKER’S LINKS TO UK COVERT OPERATIONS IN SYRIA AND LIBYA

Evidence suggests that one of the London attackers, Rachid Redouane, was part of the broad UK-backed covert strategy to oust Syria’s Assad, following his similar role in Libya in 2011.

It is distinctly possible that Redouane was trained by Qatar special forces in Libya in 2011, as part of a broad UK-approved covert operation. Indeed, it is possible that this training was presided over by UK and US ‘liaison’ officers.

The analysis below is based on mainstream media sources, all in the public domain.

Evidence suggests that one London attacker, Rachid Redouane, was part of the broad UK-backed covert strategy to oust Syria’s Assad, following his similar role in Libya in 2011.

The Telegraph reports that London attacker Rachid Redouane fought in the 2011 British/NATO war against Qaddafi – as did Salman Abedi, the Manchester bomber – and joined a militia which went on to send jihadist fighters to Syria. In Libya, he is believed to have fought with the Liwa al Ummah unit.[1]

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable!!

And the British government didn't expect there to be blowback, when all was said and done?!?

Apparently, the pathological inability to think a scenario all the way through to its logical conclusion, is not only a disease of American government, but also also infects the British government intensely as well.

What type of person could ever knowingly kill innocent children? If a private individual were to intentionally kill innocent children, my hunch is that most everyone would recognize that as the epitome of evil. In "Clear Escalation", Arab Countries Release List Of Terrorists Supported By Qatar

In what commentators have dubbed a "clear escalation", moments ago Arab states including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain, have released a list that designates 59 individuals and 12 entities in Qatar as terrorist. The complete list of those named includes Qataris, Jordanians, Egyptians, Kuwaitis, Libyans.

The four countries released the names in “light of their commitment to fighting terrorism, drying up their sources of funding, combating extremist ideology and its dissemination and working together to eradicate it and immunize communities,” according to a statement made available to Al Arabiya.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, I am very concerned that, seeing how these countries are lining up to demonize Qatar (this includes the UAE; Saudi Arabia; Egypt, and Bahrain), will probably be working in concert (along with the US military) to attack it.

Right now, it doesn't feel that we are in an "if" moment, that it can, with negotiations, be remedied; it feels like we are in a "when" moment, and that moment could happen at any time.

On the Qatari side, we see Turkey and Iran siding with Qatar.

And while some of the people enumerated on this list may well be terrorists, Qatar is really getting punished for its dominance in natural gas, where it shares underground reservoirs with Iran in the North Field; the Saudis want this for themselves, as their oil reserves are beginning to tap out, which means that their economy may ultimately tank, unless they can control Qatar's natural gas.

So ultimately, this is about regime change in Doha, which will most probably mean at least an attempted regime change in Tehran.

Backing up to really see the "big picture" here, I am very much reminded of the Moriarty speech at the end of the 2nd Sherlock Homes movie, "A Game of Shadows". He makes the observation that a war is coming, and he wants a lock on both the bullets and the bandages.

We are seeing an escalating situation in Syria; a war approaching against Qatar, and potentially, against Iran (which most probably means, war with Russia).

Turkey scrambles for regional footing as Qatar debacle expands

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan broke his silence over the crisis engulfing his country’s closest Arab ally Qatar today, condemning the actions of the group of Gulf countries that cut off ties with the emirate over its alleged support for extremist groups and Iran. In a related move, Erdogan’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has decided to fast-track bills to deploy Turkish forces in Qatar and train Qatari troops in its legislative agenda. Turkey is building a base in Qatar that will eventually host up to 10,000 troops under an accord in which Turkey pledged to defend the Gulf state.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, let me get my head around this; in one corner, we have Turkey; Iran (and with it, most probably, Russia); and Qatar; in the other corner, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.

In looking at the facts and developments on the ground, what I am seeing is a prelude to pitting Iran against Saudi Arabia in a war, then attempting to regime-change Tehran, as the US government did in 1953, and insure that the country becomes balkanised, just as is happening in Iraq, to prevent it from having its current power and weight in the Middle East any longer.

This will, of course, make Israel very happy, because it doesn't like competing economically with Iran, and has declared it an "existential threat" to Israel's existence (which is is not: Iran hasn't started a war in over 200 years).

However, there are a couple of caveats to be considered in any such action.

First, the Iran of 2017 is not the Iran of 1953; Iranians are a very geopolitically sophisticated, tech-embracing people, who remember their history, and are determined to not allow it to be repeated.

Secondly, the large, militarily-capable gorilla, snoozing on Bosendorfer Grand in the living room...is Russia. Russian political and military leaders have a very excellent relationship with Iran, and have been very vocal about coming to its aid, militarily, should it get attacked.

Russia and Iran's growing cooperation hints at a new Middle East, March, 2017

So, a war against Iran is most probably going to mean war against Russia.

I cannot think of a more ham-fisted, pig-headed move the US/Saudi consortium could make at this time, than a war against Russia over Iran.

However, unfortunately, just because a military attack against Russia is the most ham-fisted, pig-headed move the US/Saudi consortium could make, is utterly no guarantee that they won't do it.

Iraqi Kurds plan independence referendum on Sept. 25

Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region on Wednesday announced it would hold a referendum on independence, in a move the central government in Baghdad is likely to oppose strongly.

"I am pleased to announce that the date for the independence referendum has been set for Monday, Sept. 25, 2017," Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani said on Twitter.

Barzani's assistant Hemin Hawrami tweeted that voting would take place in the disputed region of Kirkuk and three other areas also claimed by the central government; Makhmour in the north, Sinjar in the northwest and Khanaqin in the east.

The president of Iraq's ruling Shi'ite coalition told Reuters in April it would oppose a Kurdish referendum. Ammar al-Hakim especially warned the Kurds against any move to annex oil-rich Kirkuk.

The referendum date was set after a meeting of Kurdish political parties chaired by Barzani, who heads the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

Webmaster's Commentary:

If this referendum goes forward, and the Kurds vote for an independent Kurdistan, look for yet another civil war in Iraq.

PURPORTED ‘US AID WORKER’ KIDNAPPED IN YEMEN WAS COORDINATING WEAPONS SHIPMENTS

In 2015, US logistics coordinator Scott Darden was captured by Houthi forces in the Yemeni capital city of Sanaa, and held for six months before his release. During that time, he was presented purely as participating in helping the delivery of humanitarian aid into the country.

He did that, as part of his employment for New Orleans-based Transoceanic Development was overseeing the transportation of humanitarian aid to the nation, which in the midst of a Saudi invasion is struggling with a nascent famine. Today, however, the New York Times is reporting that his job also had him delivering shipments of war materiel to US special forces operating in Yemen.

Some officials were willing to confirm the broad details of this, but they and Darden himself were unwilling to provide specifics, citing its “highly classified” nature. This is fueling new calls within the House Armed Services Committee to exercise at least some oversight over what was being done.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why am I not completely surprised at the US Military's "business as usual" in Yemen, hiding behind the facade of "humanitarian aid" to distribute weapons to Al-Hadi loyalists?!?

A Flint official blamed the city's water crisis on blacks who 'don't pay their bills'

A public official in Flint, Michigan, blamed the city's ongoing water crisis on black residents who "don't pay their bills" in a recorded conversation with an advocacy journalist last month, The Washington Post reported.

Phil Stair is the sales manager for a county agency that manages tax-foreclosed homes. Stair, who is white, used the N-word, according to the recordings.

The day after the recording was published in an online blog, Stair resigned from the Genesee County Land Bank.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable!!

Phil Stair is the kind of serial political criminal who is pathologically incapable of taking responsibility for his own actions, like joining the other city fathers in Flint, in deciding to move from a clean water source to a polluted one to save money, which poisoned Flint's citizens, and primarily its children.

And to the people of Flint, when the next election comes, please throw out all the b*stards who signed off on creating this health nightmare for you and your families.

QUESTIONS LINGER ABOUT SETH RICH MURDER DETAILS

The murder of Seth Rich has brought a fresh round of condemnation from establishment figures of so called “fake news.” Mainstream press outlets have claimed without justification that there is no evidence to suspect political involvement in Rich’s death despite strong indications from multiple sources, including Wikileaks, that this may have in fact been the case. Extreme censorship in the media of the story fails to account for a botched and corruption tinted investigation by the D.C. Police Department. Additionally, close connections between the DNC, White House and individuals at the center of the incident do nothing but continue give rise to accusations of a cover up.

On May 15th, FOX 5 DC carried claims from private investigator Rod Wheeler that Rich was in contact with Wikileaks prior to his death. American media figures and political groups have subsequently engaged in an unprecedented frenzy of attacks against media outlets who even mention the story.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Welcome to the world of political assassinations; I am reasonably certain that people close to that Gruesome Twosome of American Realpolitik, Bill and Hillary Clinton, have people who can do this kind of thing on speed-dial.

And the most critical question here, is why did Rich die, when physicians treating him were certain his wounds were not fatal, and why did law enforcement officials prevent Rich from being seen and treated by the medical professionals at Washington Hospital Center?!?

So far, all we have is anonymous testimony (and appreciating just how the Clinton cartel works, I can understand why he stayed anonymous) from the surgeon who treated him, as stated here:

Surgeon who treated Seth Rich says his wounds were not fatal

This has all the earmarks of a botched assassination; when his killers blinked and missed the first time, they had to do it inside his hospital room, to assure that he became dead, and stayed dead.

I am quite certain his family has been threatened that a post-mortem autopsy on Rich's body will cost them their lives.

International rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has downgraded Qatar’s credit rating as outflows from portfolio investments have dragged the emirate’s national currency to 11-year lows.

The Arab Gulf state's long-term rating was cut one notch to AA- from AA. The agency put the rating on CreditWatch with negative implications, expecting further lowering.

Earlier this week, some Muslim countries led by neighboring Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic, trade and transport ties with Qatar due to alleged support of terrorism, a charge that Doha denies.

S&P said the blockade could exacerbate Qatar's external vulnerabilities and put pressure on economic growth and fiscal stability.

“We expect that economic growth will slow, not just through reduced regional trade, but as corporate profitability is damaged because regional demand is cut off, investment is hampered, and investment confidence wanes,” said the US-based agency.

DECLASSIFIED DOCS PROVE US GOV’T KNOWINGLY ARMED ISIS, CLAIMED WEAPONS WERE ‘LOST’

After an audit from the Department of Defense revealed that the Pentagon couldn’t account for over $1 billion in weapons and equipment that was meant for fighters in Iraq, the question remains: Did ISIS gain $1 BILLION in weapons and equipment as a result?

The September 2016 audit was declassified after the human rights organization Amnesty International filed a Freedom of Information Act request. It revealed that the Pentagon “did not have accurate, up-to-date records on the quantity and location” of the majority of the equipment that was meant for the Iraqi Train & Equip Program.

The missing equipment came from the $1.6 billion budget Congress allocated for the program in 2015. The budget was approved in the name of fighting the Islamic State of Iraq & Syria—a group of militants that didn’t exist until nearly a decade after the United States invaded Iraq in 2003.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having a Jean-luc Picard, double-face-palm moment, at warp speed, upon reading this.

Jean-Luc Picard double face-palm moment

Since when, please, did American military in Iraq become simply "collateral damage" to the DOD?!?

As much as I hate the economic reasons for this war, and all the other wars in which the US military has become enmeshed, those in government who signed off on this should be charged with, and tried, for treason.

HOW DID A DEFENDER OF A 9/11 TERRORIST BECOME MAYOR OF LONDON?

Forget the media-hyped back and forth between President Donald Trump and London Mayor Sadiq Khan that has Trump rightfully condemning Khan for Khan’s “no big deal” approach to dealing with the repeated terrorist attacks in London. What continues to go largely unreported are Khan’s long-standing ties to Islamic extremists, including his defense of a 9/11 terrorist.

What is going on here? How is it a supporter of radical Islam becomes mayor of London and is being fast-tracked to be a future Prime Minister of Great Britain? And why is the Mainstream Media so clearly determined to cover up Khan’s shocking extremist past?

All of the above are true – including Khan’s defense of 9/11 terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Important questions, indeed.

If Khan is impotent, and/or unwilling, to defend the people of London, he should step down immediately, and a snap election needs to be held to elect someone who can, and will, protect all of London's citizens.

Three of my four family surnames are British; Darling, Yarbrough, and Rawson. So for me, any acts of violence perpetrated against my distant cousins in the UK, is a very personal issue.

US IS NOW BASICALLY IN AN ILLEGAL UNDECLARED WAR WITH SYRIA AND NOBODY’S TALKING ABOUT IT

And the cold hard truth needs to come to light: the U.S. has illegally invaded Syria’s territory. The fact that the Syrian military cannot realistically drive the U.S. military out (especially while it is embroiled in numerous battles with ISIS and other radical guerrilla forces) does not constitute tacit acceptance of the U.S. military presence there. In fact, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has called the U.S. and its associated forces “invaders” numerous times because the U.S. has no legal basis to operate inside Syrian territory.

On top of this unwarranted invasion, the U.S. claims it has the right to defend itself from troops loyal to Syria’s current government. It also claims it has the right to defend forces that operate under the control of the U.S.-led coalition. This is not a new proposal under Donald Trump; Barack Obama authorized U.S. air power to defend the U.S.-trained fighting forces in Syria, even if that meant attacking Syrian government troops.

Webmaster's Commentary:

My dear Antimedia.com: WRH has been covering this illegal and immoral war on the part of the US government for quite some time now!!

But having said that, what concerns me deeply is, just how long it will take for the US military to be in direct conflict with Russian and/or Iranian troops in Syria, who were invited, at the behest of the Syrian government, to get rid of the jihadists fighting against it.

Just yesterday, as reported at zerohedge.com:

Pro-Iranian militia in Syria threatens to attack US positions there

The question to US military engagement with pro-Al-Assad, Russian, and Iranian forces is not a question of if; it has become a question of when.

Welcome to World War III, started, courtesy of the US government!!

CENTRAL BANKS NOW OWN STOCKS AND BONDS WORTH TRILLIONS – AND THEY COULD CRASH THE MARKETS BY SELLING THEM

Have you ever wondered why stocks just seem to keep going up no matter what happens? For years, financial markets have been behaving in ways that seem to defy any rational explanation, but once you understand the role that central banks have been playing everything begins to make sense. In the aftermath of the great financial crisis of 2008, global central banks began to buy stocks, bonds and other financial assets in very large quantities and they haven’t stopped since. In fact, as you will see below, global central banks are on pace to buy 3.6 trillion dollars worth of stocks and bonds this year alone. At this point, the Swiss National Bank owns more publicly-traded shares of Facebook than Mark Zuckerberg does, and the Bank of Japan is now a top-five owner in 81 different large Japanese firms.

FATHER OF ICONIC ALEPPO BOY SUPPORTS ASSAD, SAYS SON WAS USED 'FOR PROPAGANDA'

The father of the iconic "Syrian Ambulance boy," whose photograph was plastered all over the Western media as an excuse to overthrow Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, says he supports Assad and his son was used by the media "for the sake of propaganda."

From RT:

Omran Daqneesh was rescued from the rubble in the aftermath of a bombing in the rebel-held Qaterji district of Aleppo in August 2016. The controversial Syrian Civil Defense group, better known as the White Helmets soon released harrowing footage of Omran sitting in an ambulance chair.

The White Helmets group has a controversial reputation. While they are hailed as hero volunteers by the Western mainstream media, and even have an Academy Award-winning documentary about them, their reputation on the ground in Syria is much more sinister.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congrats, Western media; this was fake news at its "fakiest"!!

BOMB ATTACK ON US EMBASSY IN KIEV

An explosive device as been thrown into the grounds of the American embassy in Kiev. The blast occurred in the early hours of the morning injuring no one.

This comes after a far larger rocket attack on the Polish consulate in the Galician city of Lutsk in March of this year.

Ukraine is not only a lawless state and a military aggressor against the Republics of Donbass, but it is moreover a failed state that is a breeding ground for violence and terrorism.

Just because no group claims responsibility for an attack does not mean that it is not a terrorist attack and the low-grade attack on the US Embassy in Kiev, like the more serious attack on a Polish consulate months ago, is a manifest act of terrorism.

The frequent acts of political and random violence in post-coup Ukraine has made it so that Ukraine’s security services simply cannot be trusted to keep the peace.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This... is officially insane, if, in fact, Ukraine's ultra-right has, in fact, called for an alliance with ISIS against Russia.

Such a possible collaboration is chilling in the extreme.

Operation Temperer - U.K. Will Likely Institute Martial Law Measures Within A Year

After the Manchester suicide bombing only two weeks ago I warned my readers that the repetition of terror attacks is breeding complacency within the public, in Europe most acutely. It is not uncommon now for attacks killing dozens to be forgotten within a week of the event. The news feeds are awash in distraction, and of course, sometimes these events themselves act as distractions.
In a recent newscast of MSNBC's “Morning Joe”, BBC anchor Katty Kay stated:

“Europe is getting used to attacks like this, Mika. They have to, because we are never going to be able to totally wipe this out...”

NOTE - After finishing this article on Sunday, I find this quote from Theresa May on Tuesday:

“We should do even more to restrict the freedom and the movements of terrorist suspects when we have enough evidence to know they present a threat, but not enough evidence to prosecute them in full in court."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This... from the country which gave the world the Magna Carta?!?

My heart weeps, at this "slowly boiling the frog" approach by the British government, rather than fix the problems caused by British economic/geopolitical policies.

The pattern is painfully clear. Accuse a foreign government of doing something it is not doing; invade and regime change, if the current government is not to your liking; expropriate that country's resources, to which you have no moral right; insuring that those resources are only sold in specific currencies to specific countries; and yet fully expect that this disempowerment, and brokenness, on every level, will have no effect on the people from that country, many of whom have had to flee the violence.

Such actions, by Western governments, make people who have endured the consequences of these actions, a rich field for radicalisation, which wind up as "blow back" against the West, as we have seen in Paris, London, and Manchester.

As a Christian Pacifist Activist, I can never, ever condone violence of any sort; that being said, I can understand why there are times when it happens.

This is the reality no Western country dares address, or attempt to remedy.

There was a brilliant article yesterday in the English version of farsnews.com, an Iranian blog, to which I link frequently. I strongly encourage our readers to read the following, because it just nails the reality, with regard to the British government's reaction to the horror of Saturday, about what is really going on:

Syria's Cauldron: One Step Away from Major Showdown

Syrian rebels from Eastern Lions and Ahmad al-Abdo Army formations – the elements of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) - state that they are «intensely» attacking Iranian-backed pro-government militias in the eastern Syrian desert in an operation dubbed «The Land is Ours». The forces’ strength is around four thousand. The main enemies are the Islamic State (IS), Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Syrian government-allied forces. The operation is conducted near Syria’s borders with Iraq and Jordan. This time, the mission is to squeeze the SAA and its allies out from the desert areas.

Evidently, one of the goals pursued by the escalation of hostilities is to demonstrate that the armed opposition is a force to reckon with at a time the crisis management talks are held in Astana and Geneva. Obviously, this is an attempt to subvert the ongoing international peace efforts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The unanswered question here is, just how long will it be, before US and Russian forces engage in direct combat in Syria?!?

I don't know what the Vegas odds on such an event taking place, but were I a betting woman, I would bet that the odds, unfortunately, are quite good, that this will happen, and my hunch would be, sooner rather than later.

Another Reason For Brexodus? English Syphilis Cases Soar To Highest In 80 Years

It's not just bankers that are leaving the UK, broad-based Brexodus continues as EU citizens flee the apparently sinking-ship and now, courtesy of the latest report from Public Health England, they have another good reason to leave 'Ol Blighty - cases of syphilis have reached their highest level since 1949, new figures have shown.

After the Brexit referendum, more EU citizens are leaving Britain, while less Europeans are coming in. As the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show, 2016 brought 84,000 less migrants, compared to the previous year. Statista's Fabian Moebus points out that the net migration of 248,000 people is the lowest number of yearly newcomers in over three years. Immigration from EU countries decreased by 43,000 people while emigration increased by 31,000, which makes Europeans the main factor behind the trend with a net change of minus 74,000.

The Pivot? Qatar Foreign Minister To Visit Moscow On Saturday

With Gulf tensions still rising, and culminating with last night's report on Arabia CNN that Qatar has put its armed forces on the highest military preparedness level, the small nation may be preparing to unveil its "Eastern pivot": moments ago Russia's RIA news agency reported that the Qatari foreign minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani will Visit Moscow on Saturday where he will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"Negotiations will be held on Saturday," a Russian foreign ministry official said. However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin does not yet plan to meet with al-Thani.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Lavrov is a realist, par excellence. I am very convinced that if asked, Russia will come to Qatar's aid in a very reasonable, and responsible way.

That having been said, I would like to urge Qatari foreign minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and the Qatari government, to take every practical precaution to insure that your plane does get to Moscow; this port blockade could well escalate into an air/sea blockade in a heartbeat.

You may well need to "get out of Dodge" (leave before this happens) sooner than your Saturday meeting, by a route that neither Saudi Arabia and its US government partner in war crimes, can detect.

Qatar Says "We Will Never Surrender", Welcomes Turkish Troops As Iran Offers Food, Ports

Even as the world's attention turns to the Comey testimony for the next few hours, the Qatar diplomatic crisis (where CNN's "report" of Russian hacking now appears long forgotten) continues, and moments ago a barrage of headlines from Qatar suggests that the small nation, which may or may not be preparing for military action, is happy to welcome the Turkish troops that will be arriving soon as reported yesterday, with its foreign minister stating that "we are not ready to surrender and will never compromise the independence of our foreign policy." Also, and perhaps even more critically, Qatar - whose foreign minister is set to fly to Moscow on Saturday - also announced that Iran is ready to help with food and that three of Iran's ports will be designated for use for Qatar.

From the wires:

QATAR FM SAYS IRAN SAID THEY ARE READY TO HELP QATAR WITH FOOD & 3 OF THEIR PORTS WILL BE DESIGNATED FOR QATAR: RTRS.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This wouldn't have happened at all, if Saudi Arabia didn't believe it did not have the full backing of the US, to pull this stunt.

Trump's offer to assist in a "resolution" of the conflict is pure, Trumpian theatre; full of sound and fury, but signifying .... absolutely nothing. This geopolitical kerfuffle is largely of his own making.

Folks, keep your eyes on the ball here; the real target, in all of this, is Iran, and conjuring some kind of "justification" for a war against it; please do not let that reality out of your sight for a moment, because it ultimately will be your kids, getting drafted, and on the front lines of such a war.

ISIS RECRUITER WHO RADICALISED LONDON BRIDGE ATTACKERS WAS PROTECTED BY MI5

The terrorists who rampaged across London on the night of 3 June were part of a wider extremist network closely monitored by MI5 for decades. The same network was heavily involved in recruiting Britons to fight with jihadist groups in Syria, Iraq and Libya.

Police have confirmed that Khuram Shazad Butt, Rachid Redouane and Youssef Zaghba were the three terrorists shot dead after participating in a brutal van and knife attack in the London Bridge area.

According to press reports, both Butt and Redouane were longstanding members of the proscribed extremist network formerly known as al-Muhajiroun. After 9/11, the group operated under different names such as Shariah4UK, Muslims4Crusades and Islam4UK. Originally founded by Lebanese firebrand, Omar Bakri Mohammed, who was banned from returning the UK after the 7/7 attacks, the network was later run by Bakri’s deputy, Anjem Choudary.

RED FLAGS, MISSED

Webmaster's Commentary:

Then why were British intelligence and police unable to stop this from happening?!?

The biggest question now, is, cui bono?!? Who benefits from allowing terrorists to strike at random in the UK?!?

Let's just say that those in the bowels of power in the UK, fronted by Prime Minister May, have benefited greatly, and see their wish of putting the internet under total government control coming nearer;
THERESA MAY TO CREATE NEW INTERNET THAT WOULD BE CONTROLLED AND REGULATED BY GOVERNMENT; The British Deep State has passed a bill to abolish cryptography; Cryptography killed by back-door legislation; and wants to toss human rights laws that hurt terror suppression. Theresa May rip up human rights laws which impede new terror legislation.

And how does one accomplish creating fertile ground in the minds of the British voters to accept such draconian laws which may be shaping up here?!?

It is very simple; by allowing terror to happen, then using the dead and wounded bodies as a "bloody shirt" to wave at the crowds, while you are demanding these changes in the law.

And Prime Minister May, a word here, please; the kinds of legislation you have both passed, and are proposing, will not alleviate
the kinds of terror attacks under which the UK, and Europe, have been suffering.

When the countries from which many of these refugees come have been regime changed, generally through war, and those wars have left them with absolutely no power over their own personal and national destiny; when people have been broken, by the sheer depth and breadth of their dispossession, courtesy of countries like the US and UK, which have a pretty dismal track record of accusing a country of doing something it didn't; invading and regime changing that country in order to expropriate resources to which they have utterly no moral right, such individuals are ripe for radicalisation and violence.

You, and the rest of the British government, must understand that to expect otherwise is both disingenuous, and very dangerous for your people, as recent events have proven.

The biggest resource that your country, and the US, want to control, are energy resources in the Middle East and Africa.

And here is my proposal, which is guaranteed to ratchet down your, and my, country's eternal lust for controlling fossil fuels.

Both countries have some of the best scientists and engineers in the world; I suggest that the US and UK develop an energy consortium, and challenge scientists and engineers from both countries to develop workable, alternative energy solutions, then patent the result and sell it, dividing the resources equitably, and making sure that the universities which were the brain trust on this get handsomely compensated for their efforts.

Both your and my countries can do this; if there is a will, there is a way, Madam Prime Minister.

But if there is no push toward such a solution, the world will know that random terror attacks in the UK and beyond are, in your perspective, "just the cost of doing business" in your country's militant resource-scrambling and extraction around the world.

ISIS Was Allegedly Behind the London Bridge Attacks, Who Is Behind ISIS?

The Islamic State (ISIS) was originally an Al Qaeda affiliated entity created by US intelligence with the support of Britain's MI6, Israel's Mossad, Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Saudi Arabia's General Intelligence Presidency (GIP).

The origins of Al Qaeda date back to the Soviet-Afghan war. The Koranic schools in Afghanistan used to train Al Qaeda recruits were financed by the CIA, using textbooks published by the University of Nebraska. That's where the evil ideology of Islamist extremism referred to by PM May originated: The Global War on Terrorism is a lie, Islamic terrorism is a product of US foreign policy which claims to be spreading Western civilization.

US’ plan to destabilize Iran: “Dark Prince” appointed as head of the CIA

The Trump administration, this week, appeared to take a potential step closer to backing efforts plotted by Saudi Arabia and the UAE to destabilize Iran; possibly topple its Islamic government; and force Qatar to fall into line with Gulf policies that target Iran, political Islam, and militants; with the appointment of a seasoned covert operations officer as head of the Central Intelligence Agency’s Iran operations.

Saudi support of militant groups in Pakistani Baluchistan that operate across the border in the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan is abetted by a US policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This information, coupled with that I have posted earlier this morning, points to a definite escalation of military and economic actions against Iran, as a prelude to a war against it.

I do not know where the USS Ronald Reagan or the USS Carl Vinson have been re-assigned, after leaving the Korean Peninsula, but my best bet would be, ultimately to the Persian Gulf.

And when they are in position is the moment we may well see all hell breaking loose in the Middle East.

FBI committed TREASON under COMEY: Surveillance on Americans illegally leaked to other nations

As the American media machine continues its baseless attacks against President Trump, lobbing unsubstantiated accusations against him on the daily regarding imaginary connections to Russia, there’s a much bigger story brewing that the public isn’t being told about shamed former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey. New evidence has emerged from classified government documents showing that, under Comey’s leadership, the FBI actually committed major acts of treason against the American people by sharing raw intelligence about American citizens with unauthorized third parties, including foreign entities.

US Aircraft Carriers Ronald Reagan, Carl Vinson Withdraw From Sea of Japan

According to the Japanese broadcaster NHL, the aircraft carriers left the sea on Monday after completing the military exercises last week.

The Carl Vinson will return to the home port in the US city of San Diego, the same reports added. However, the situation around North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile program will be further monitored by USS Nimitz carrier which is supposed to join Japan and India for joint military exercises in the Indian Ocean in July and head to the Persian Gulf subsequently, the outlet suggested.

The Carl Vinson carrier and its strike group including two destroyers and a cruiser was initially to the area close to North Korea in April in response to the repeated ballistic missile tests by the country. Since then, the situation around Pyongyang escalated further with several more missile launches by North Korea including the most recent on May 29. The launches were carried out by Pyongyang in violation of the UN resolutions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

China's leadership, and particularly President Xi Jinping, may have done more to "encourage" North Korea to cease and desist from its weapons program than we know.

And additionally, this US move away from North Korea, militarily, might definitely be coupled with the following development in South Korea, reported this morning at zerohedge.com:

US Investigators Blame ‘Russian Hackers’ for Qatar Split With Saudis

While President Trump has personally claimed credit for the split between Qatar and the other Gulf Arab states, some US investigators are engaged in particularly wild speculation today, aiming to make the whole situation a plot carried out by Russian hackers.

A little over a week into the latest row, tensions between Qatar and other Gulf states is a hugely complicating factor for US foreign policy in the region, particularly since Qatar hosts the largest US military base in the Middle East. Qatar’s split is something that’s been an ongoing issue for years, based around differing views on the Arab Spring.

Fake news helped though, too, as while that row between Qatar and the Saudis has been a thing for years, this latest escalation centered around a report in the Qatar state media, right after President Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia to make hawkish speeches about Iran, quoted the Qatari Emir warning against seeking military confrontation toward Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump cannot have this situation both ways.

Either he was responsible for the blockade, and the Saudi ultimatum against Qatar, or he was not; it's sort of like being pregnant; one either is, or is not, period, end of discussion.

But in the collusion of events within the last 24 hours, one can see the opening salvos of a war against Iran coming, and coming quickly. Fast forward to this morning:

Turkey approves a bill to send troops to Qatar

Assad's military alliance threatens strike against US forces in Syria.

Qatari riyal crashes after Saudi Arabia orders their banks to cut exposure to it

Iran blames Saudi Arabia for terrorist attack,
Vows revenge.

UAE threatens 15 years jail time for publishing statements sympathetic to Qatar

Tehran Stock Exchange down 76% after terror attack

All of these situations, evaluated together, most probably mean a coming war against Iran, which possibly means war with Russia, and sooner rather than later.

Israel Gearing Up for Attack From Hezbollah

Israel on Sunday conducted a surprise two-day drill to test its military’s readiness for war.

The unannounced exercise, which began on Sunday, comprised a surprise 36-hour drill to determine the army's readiness for battle, according to The Times of Israel.

The drills focused on conscripted infantry ground troops, supported by air force units, according to an unnamed Israeli Defense Force (IDF) official with knowledge of the move who spoke on condition of anonymity.

"It's about a fast switch from routine to a situation that's not routine, where you're preparing for it to be something else," the IDF official said, adding that the drill scenario incorporated a gambit showing "Hezbollah carrying out a terror attack against our troops," the Times of Israel reported.

An unnamed senior Israeli military official recently noted that Israel has implemented an enhanced evacuation plan for Lebanese border regions in the event of renewed fighting, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For all of his braggadocio, Nasrallah most likely wouldn't attack Israel inside its borders; that would be the KOD (kiss of death) for Hezbollah, and he has to understand that.

What I think may be getting ready to happen is an Israeli pre-emptive attack against Hezbollah inside Lebanon.

In fact, they may be waiting until the coming war with Iran is well and truly on, to use it as a "shadow of distraction" for coming actions in Lebanon.

Trump Takes Credit for Saudi Move Against Qatar, a U.S. Military Partner

President Trump thrust himself into a bitter Persian Gulf dispute on Tuesday, taking credit for Saudi Arabia’s move to isolate its smaller neighbor, Qatar, and rattling his national security staff by upending a critical American strategic relationship.

In a series of tweets, Mr. Trump said his call for an end to the financing of radical groups had prompted Saudi Arabia and four other countries to act this week against Qatar, a tiny, energy-rich emirate that is arguably America’s most important military outpost in the Middle East.

“During my recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of Radical Ideology,” he wrote in a midmorning post. “Leaders pointed to Qatar — look!”

Webmaster's Commentary:

When you are looking at with the coordination of the following events together:

The naval blockade of Qatar:

Saudi Arabia and UAE impose a naval blockade on Qatar

The 24 hour ultimatum from Saudi Arabia that Qatar abide by its decrees, or else, face a military attack:

Saudi Arabia gives Qatar a 24 hour Window to Meet its Ultimatum

The US Siege of Raqqa, Syria:
US Apaches provide Kurdish troops the psychological edge to their siege in Raqqa

And the attack against the Iranian Parliament today:

TERRORISTS RAID IRAN PARLIAMENT, MAUSOLEUM; GUNMEN, SUICIDE BOMBERS LEAVE AT LEAST SEVEN DEAD

When you put all these events in context, you are looking at the opening salvos of a war against Iran.

If Qatar does not respond to Saudi Arabia's demands, after being somewhat defensive toward Iran, it will be regime changed.

Regime change in Damascus is on, to isolate Iran even further.

What really concerns me, in all of this, is how soon the US and Russia will be locked in combat, either over Syria and/or Iran. And right now, the US military does not have the troop strength; the money; the weaponry; or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a war with Russia (and/or China).

5 TRENDS THAT ARE DESTROYING THE MIDDLE CLASS IN AMERICA

The middle class in America has been shrinking for decades, and our leaders seem powerless to do anything about it.

Two years ago, the middle class became a minority in this country for the first time ever. In other words, the middle class now accounts for less than 50 percent of the population. But back in the early 1970s, the middle class made up more than 60 percent of the population. I have often compared being in the middle class to playing a really bizarre game of musical chairs. When the music stops playing each month, more chairs are being pulled out of the middle class, and most of us are just hoping that we will still have a chair for the next go around.

‘SWEPT UP IN POST-COUP PURGE’: HEAD OF AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL TURKEY ARRESTED

The head of Amnesty International Turkey has been arrested by the authorities over suspected links with exiled cleric, Fethullah Gulen, whom Ankara blames for a failed 2016 coup, the group said. It added that Taner Kilic was “swept up in the post-coup purge.”

Kilic, the chair of Amnesty International Turkey, “was detained from his house in [the city of] Izmir at 6:30 this morning [Tuesday] before being taken to his office. Both properties were searched. He is currently in police custody in Yesilyurt district of Izmir,” Amnesty International said in a statement.

According to the group, Kilic’s detention “does not seem to be connected to any of Amnesty International’s work, nor to be specifically targeting the organization.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Erdogan's paranoia appears to have no bounds at this point.

Once this guy gets released (which he hopefully will), Amnesty International needs to leave Turkey, and at a quick-time march. The current government of Turkey has no patience for anyone, or any organisation, which even minutely questions its processes.

Furious backlash against Brussels as EU unveils military ambition to become 'second NATO'

BRUSSELS has been attacked for trying to turn the European Union into a “second NATO” after unveiling controversial new defence proposals which critics say would effectively lead to the creation of an EU army.

Critics branded bold plans published by the EU Commission today “unnecessary, irresponsible and unacceptable” and said eurocrats should stop trying to pool ever more military power in their own hands.

What kind of livestock are ‘We the People’ to the .01%? Sheeple? Pigs? Cows? Wake-up and smell the manure, see the slaughterhouses, or be farmed

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

Animal Farm is a George Orwell story of captured beings who suddenly recognize what had always existed: they were livestock to be controlled, worked, and killed. The story ends with the ordinary beings recaptured from failure to see their own enslavement. Four minute summary of Animal Farm, among their 103 analyses with over 60 million views of Thug Notes, by performer Sparky Sweets, Ph.D.:

Theresa May says she will rip up human rights laws to fight terror

Speaking on the election trail, the Prime Minister told supporters she would change any laws that got in the way of preventing jihadis from launching attacks in Britain.

Mrs May used one of her final speeches of the General Election campaign to step up her rhetoric against Islamist extremism in the wake of the London Bridge terror attack that left seven people dead and more than 40 injured.

GEORGIA SAYS IT HAS TRACED A VOTER HACKING ATTEMPT BACK TO THE DHS, NOT RUSSIA

According to Georgia’s Secretary of State Brian Kemp, foul play was discovered when a hacker failed at attempting to breach the firewall that protected the Georgia voter’s registration database. The IP address in question was discovered to originate from the Department of Homeland Security itself.

On a Facebook post on Thursday, Kemp said he has “sent a letter to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson demanding to know why.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So let me get this straight; it was not Russian hacking, attempting to throw the election in Trump's favor, but Jeh Johnson's DHS's hacking, to throw the election to Hillary Clinton, which actually happened in the last election?!?

3 QUESTIONS YOU’RE NEVER SUPPOSED TO ASK AFTER A TERRORIST ATTACK

In a world where defense budgets are astronomical and wars of occupation and destabilization never end, political leaders in the UK and in Europe want you to accept street-level terror as the new everyday normal. The attacks are unstoppable, they say, and the world must embrace this hopelessness with faith that the government is doing all it can to create a better, safer world. Run, hide, and call the authorities, for you are helpless in this reality, so they say. But who creates and sustains this reality?

JOE BIDEN SAYS HE PERSONALLY FOUGHT TO KEEP GREECE UNDER THE CONTROL OF EU DEBT LORDS

Obama Administration Vice President Joe Biden boasted about how he personally played a key role in helping Greece stay in the European Union, and avoid a Grexit scenario.

In an interview with Greek newspaper Kathimerini, Joe Biden noted that a Grexit “could potentially have triggered a wider crisis of confidence in the global economy.”

And so Greece, and its destroyed economy, 26% unemployment rate, and close to 2 million citizens now living below the poverty line, thank former VP Biden for keeping them bound in EU shackles, with no foreseeable end to the suffering in sight.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Vice-President Biden, a word, please.

Were I you, and looking at the horrific situation in which the EU has placed Greece, I frankly wouldn't be bragging right now.

What I hope the Greek people and their government will ultimately do, is "pull an Iceland"; declare the burden of the bailout by the EU an odious debt; refuse to pay it; and throw the bankers and politicians who put the Greek people in this predicament, in jail.

Iceland is doing quite well economically right now, thank you very much!!

LONDON BRIDGE TERRORIST WAS ALLOWED TO WORK AT WESTMINSTER STATION DESPITE KNOWN JIHADIST VIEWS

Khuram Shazad Butt, one of the three London Bridge attackers, was allowed to work at Westminster Tube station, even after he featured in a TV documentary about British jihadists in which he prayed to a black flag in Regent’s Park.
He was also free to carry out Saturday’s atrocity despite working for a man accused of helping to train the 7/7 bombings ringleader, and being investigated by police and MI5, it has emerged.

The third terrorist behind the London Bridge attack has been named as Youssef Zaghba. It emerged he was arrested last year trying to reach Syria, yet was still able to get into the UK. Reports in the Italian media said Zaghba was stopped in Bologna. His mother is Italian and still lives there.

Butt, 27, from Barking, East London, was deemed “low priority” by the Metropolitan Police despite being reported to them at least twice. He had slipped down in priority because there was no intelligence he was planning an attack.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What, unfortunately, appears to be "low priority" for the British government and police, is the safety of the British people.

FIFTY YEARS LATER, NSA KEEPS DETAILS OF ISRAEL’S USS LIBERTY ATTACK SECRET

On June 8, 1967, an Israeli torpedo tore through the side of the unarmed American naval vessel USS Liberty, approximately a dozen miles off the Sinai coast. The ship, whose crew was under command of the National Security Agency, was intercepting communications at the height of the Six Day War when it came under direct Israeli aerial and naval assault.
Reverberations from the torpedo blast sent crewman Ernie Gallo flying across the radio research room where he was stationed. Gallo, a communications technician aboard the Liberty, found himself and his fellow shipmates in the midst of an attack that would leave 34 Americans dead and 171 wounded.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This was no "mistake" on the part of the Israeli government; they knew, incontrovertibly, that the vessel they attacked was a US Navy vessel, and wanted to blame Egypt for the attack.

"FORGET TERRORISM": THE REAL REASON BEHIND THE QATAR CRISIS IS NATURAL GAS

The real reason behind the diplomatic fallout may be far simpler, and once again has to do with a long-running and controversial topic, namely Qatar's regional natural gas dominance.

Recall that many have speculated (with evidence going back as far back as 2012) that one of the reasons for the long-running Syria proxy war was nothing more complex than competing gas pipelines, with Qatar eager to pass its own pipeline, connecting Europe to its vast natural gas deposits, however as that would put Gazprom's monopoly of European LNG supply in jeopardy, Russia had been firmly, and violently, against this strategy from the beginning and explains Putin's firm support of the Assad regime and the Kremlin's desire to prevent the replacement of the Syrian government with a puppet regime.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now, the pieces are falling into place, and making sense, for this geopolitical kerfuffle.

As Deep Throat was fond of saying to Woodward and Bernstein, "Follow the money!!"

and I have to wonder; is this going to be the "justification" used by the American Deep State, in concert with the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America, to go to war against both Qatar and ultimately, Iran?!?

To gain control of this natural gas resource for Saudi Arabia?!?

Also, please consider the following:

Qatar hosts the largest military base in the Middle East

Are the American forces now going to be fighting its host country, and what signals does that send to all the other countries around the world where American bases have been strategically located?!?

The short answer here, is not great signals at all; any US military strike against Qatar will be viewed as a complete violation of US Military/host country protocol, and make government overseas very nervous about how quickly the US government is ready and willing to turn from friend to enemy.

Tech World Angry With Theresa May’s Internet Regulation Plans

Internet companies, tech experts, activists and fellow politicians have reacted to PM May’s comments with disapproval, even accusing her of pushing her own agenda in the wake of recent tragic events.

Limiting cryptography or building the kind of backdoors that May wants would end up crippling the Internet as we know it, argues author and BoingBoing co-editor Cory Doctorow. He claims: “There’s no back door that only lets good guys go through it.” Even if app developers were instructed to refrain from using encryption, it would be very difficult to stop criminals from encrypting their messages manually or writing them in code.

Mark Chapman, UK Pirate Party’s candidate for Vauxhall, said: “Regulating the internet is not the answer, and it is shameful that Theresa May is so quick to use the events of a tragedy to fuel her own autocratic agenda.”

HACKED EMAILS EXPOSE US WORKING WITH UAE AGAINST IRAN AND QATAR

The email account of one of Washington’s most influential foreign operatives, Yousef Al-Otaiba, has been hacked. A number of those emails were sent to the Intercept, as well as the Huffington Post and the Daily Beast, the Intercept reports. The hacker has allegedly promised to release a trove of these emails publicly.
Otaiba is the United Arab Emirate’s ambassador to the United States, and the Intercept confirms that the Hotmail account in question is the one he used for his business in Washington. The Huffington Post further confirmed that at least one of the emails is authentic, and a UAE spokesperson confirmed Otaiba account had been hacked. None of the eight individuals whose names were involved in the email exchanges – and who were contacted by the Huffington Post for comment – denied that the exchanges took place.

Watch: This Thug Tries To Rob A Store Where Every Customer Is Armed

People who support gun control often argue that it would be disastrous if everyone was walking around with a gun at all times. They fear that it would make firearm accidents more likely, and in the event that a robber or a mass shooter is on the loose, there would be a chaotic hail of gunfire from all directions. -- It’s a silly argument to make, considering that even in states where there are loose gun laws, and where it is easy to obtain a concealed carry permit, only a minority of citizens carry guns at all times. But for the sake of argument, what would happen if everyone was armed in the vicinity of a violent criminal?

We have welcomed the Donald all along as the Great Disrupter, but yesterday’s Rose Garden haymaker was above and beyond the call of duty. It was vintage Trump—no double-talking mainstream speech-crafter slipped in even a hint of equivocation. Not a single olive branch of accommodation was offered to the ruling elites anywhere on the planet. Dear Great Britain – Blame Your Intelligence Agencies and Government, Not the Internet

The dishonest and dangerous response of Theresa May’s UK government to the horrific terrorist attacks of the past month is unfortunately all too common when it comes to those in power. Rather than look inward at the glaring shadiness and corruption inherent throughout UK government polices, its “leaders” are looking to use these barbaric acts as a excuse to push through an authoritarian and illiberal expansion of state power. Specifically, Theresa May’s government is despicably using the attacks to push for regulation and censorship of the internet.

Detroit may force businesses to share surveillance

Detroit police and city officials are drafting an ordinance that would make it mandatory for all venues that serve customers after 10 p.m. to join Project Green Light, a program that allows officers to monitor businesses’ high-definition video feeds in real time.

All businesses open that late — from party stores and gas stations to sports stadiums like Comerica Park and venues like the Fox Theatre — would be subject to the ordinance if it’s passed, police said.

Police report double-digit reductions in violent crime at businesses that have enrolled in Project Green Light, and they hope the ordinance will result in similar drops in crime citywide. Others insist it would be government overreach to force businesses to join the program, raising privacy concerns and questioning whether such a broad ordinance would be legal.

THE SCRIPTING OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER NARRATIVE

While watching CNN this morning an interesting segment focused on how Trump is dismantling the international order which has existed since the end of the last world war. Fareed Zakaria used America’s exit from the non-binding Paris Climate Agreement as the springboard for further discussion around how Trump is shifting the global position of the United States. This concept of course is old news for POM readers, as we have been discussing the transformation of the international governance framework since Dec 31, 2013.

Two years ago when Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the office of President I presented the idea that his purpose was to sell the multilateral framework to the American people and realign Anglo-American economic and governance policies with those of the international banking interests.

NATO Splinters: Germany Says "Has No Choice But To Pull Out" Troops From Turkey's Incirlik Airbase

The scandal erupted last Thursday, when Turkey's foreign minister said it is not possible to allow German lawmakers to visit troops stationed at Turkey's Incirlik air base now, although he said Ankara may reconsider if it sees "positive steps" from Berlin. It was not immediately clear just what Turkey's "demands" or expectations, monetary or otherwise, were from Merkel for it to change its view. Ties between the NATO allies deteriorated sharply in the run-up to Turkey's April 16 referendum that handed President Tayyip Erdogan stronger presidential powers.

"We see that Germany supports everything that is against Turkey," Mevlut Cavusoglu told a news conference in Ankara last week. "Under these circumstances it is not possible for us to open Incirlik to German lawmakers right now ... If they take positive steps in the future we can reconsider."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a really bad patch for NATO, and may well have Turkish leadership consider re-aligning itself with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and become part of the BRIC economic community.

THAT could be a real game changer, for both Turkey and the world.

Mattis: US Remains Committed to Global Intervention

Speaking over the weekend at a conference in Singapore, Defense Secretary James Mattis urged the world to “bear with” the US as they adjust to the election of a new president, insisting that the US remains committed to engaging in global intervention, and that it is “very deeply rooted in the American psyche.”

Mattis insisted the 20th century ended any idea of America not constantly intervening in the world, and that Americans knew it would be “a crummy world” if they weren’t constantly involved in other countries’ affairs.

The comments were mostly directed at an audience of US allies who don’t like President Trump, and while he tried to assure them that nothing with respect to US policy had changed, other officials said they had the sense that what Mattis was saying was far different that what Trump himself is saying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sec-Def (or should I say, perhaps, more accurately, Secretary of War) Mattis, a word, please.

Have these multiple interventions in places like Iraq; Syria; Somalia; Libya; and Afghanistan made Americans any more safe, both at home around the world?!?

The short answer, sir, is absoflippinglutely not.

The reasons for these wars are always the same; to invade a country in order to regime change the government to the Unhinged Surveillance State of America's liking; to expropriate resources to which it, and its corporate cronies have utterly no moral right; and to insure that those resources are only sold to specific countries only for the US dollar.

I get it.

Of course, we both know, that as Karl Marx observed, all wars are economic in origin.

These wars, of course, have made members of the military/industrial complex, and their stockholders, enormously rich, but have not done much for the rest of us.

At the same time, the decently paying jobs continue to be outsourced/offshored, and many people are now scrambling with 3 minimum wage jobs just in in order to barely survive, and have no economic future, whatsoever.

There is something fundamentally wrong with this picture, Sec-Def Mattis, and this picture needs to change, and quickly. It almost feels to me as if society is tearing itself apart at the seams, and the center cannot hold.

As a Christian pacifist activist, who never advocates violence, I am constantly exhorting the government of the Unhinged Surveillance States of America to get what it needs through fair, hard-won, and moral negotiations, rather than through wars.

I used to be able to believe that the US government was capable of doing this; unfortunately, it now uses war as a first resort, rather than negotiations, and you are the perfect pitch-man for America's deep state, to assure your international colleagues that the US will continue to use "war first" policy to get what it wants.

FAKE NEWS: NBC ISSUES CORRECTION AFTER FALSELY CLAIMING PUTIN ‘DOES NOT DENY’ HAVING COMPROMISING INFO ON TRUMP

NBC News was forced to issue a correction on Sunday evening after spinning its newest talent Megyn Kelly’s interview to falsely claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin “does not deny having compromising information” on President Donald Trump.

SLAVERY IS FREEDOM: SUBMIT TO THE STATE AND BE FREE FROM TERRORISM

Clearly, the only sane thing to do after a terrorist attack is to take rights away. Maybe if we build a prison around society, we will all be safe. Maybe it is just a matter of the government having more power over the citizens, and they will finally rid the world of terrorism.

Or maybe the UK’s priorities are all wrong. For instance, did you know that in the United Kingdom, you are required to pay a tax to acquire a TV License in order to watch broadcast and online media? And they are not messing around. Look at these posters and billboards.

Yet Prime Minister Theresa May seems to think the UK is simply not invasive enough of their citizen’s personal lives. They are going full-on “Big Brother” over TV licenses; they know who you are.

But they don’t know who the terrorists are. The government identifies in a database every last home without a TV license, but they cannot track and stop terrorists.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that Prime Minister May is going all full-tilt-boogie "Chancellor Adam" from the film "V for Vendetta".

And if you have never seen the film, I encourage you to rent/buy it. It is a cautionary tale about blow back from an over-zealous, tyrannical government, with utterly no regard whatsoever for the people they rule, and Hugo Weaving, who does a magnificent job as the character V, is superlative.

Prime Minister May's opinions about censoring the net, and crippling cryptography, are horribly not the right way of getting rid of terrorism in the UK, and now it is coming out that the perpetrators of these horrific crimes, in Manchester and London where absolutely known to the police.

Manchester terrorist known to UK police

I strongly suspect that the perpetrators of the horrific terror attack were known to British intelligence and police.
Who are the suspects behind the London terror attack?

The story goes on to state:

"The attackers

One of the London Bridge suspected attackers appeared in a jihadi documentary on Channel 4 and had previously “tried to go to Syria”, it has emerged.

He appeared in a television documentary last year about British extremists called The Jihadis Next Door, and was filmed at events attended by two notorious Islamic preachers.

The suspected terrorist had previously worked for London transport operator Transport for London (TfL) and a branch of fast food chain KFC, neighbours said.

A relative also told how he had previously tried to go to Syria to fight jihad but had been talked out of it by his family as his wife was pregnant at the time.

The man had also been reported to the anti-terror police on at least two occasions, it has been claimed."

So why were these attacks potentially allowed to happen, even with prior police knowledge of who these people were?!?

You have to ask, cui bono?!? Who benefits?!?

Not the British people, that's absolutely certain.

But various elements in the bowels of power in the Deep British State well may benefit, courtesy of May's draconian attitude on the web and cryptography, because the truth of what they are actually doing to generate more wealth and power for themselves at the expense of the British people, can be more easily suppressed.

Broken cryptography will mean that corporate proprietary information can be stolen, and given to government's corporate cronies. But the problem with this approach is, that the bad guys have gotten their cryptography to the state where it is already unbreakable by the best state agencies, or do not use cryptography at all.

And Prime Minister May, a word, please. Do you really want to stop terrorism in its tracks, honestly?!? This is very simple.

Stop mucking about in other peoples' countries, invading them; regime-changing their governments to your liking; and expropriating resources to which you and your corporate cronies have utterly no moral right; and selling those resources only to specific countries using only specific currencies. Bring your military home from their garrisons all over the world (removing American and British forces from that thuggocracy, Bahrain, would be a good start).

That you seem to be impervious to the horrifically negative potential, for disempowerment to translate into rage, when people have been dispossessed, and have needed to run from their home countries because of all of these wars, and regime-changes to suit the Western "ideal" of "business as usual, is both hubristic, and disingenuous in the extreme.

Prime Minister May, you have some of the most gifted academicians in the world in British universities; please use them to create an alternative energy source which can fly a plane, or power a tank, or drive a car, then patent that, making sure that a generous allowance goes to the schools and people in those schools who made this happen.

So the question is, Madam Prime Minister, are you really going to deal with the root causes of terrorism, or just decide that the "cost of doing business", internationally, as Britain has, for centuries, is simply the "new normal", translating into more terror attacks against your brother and sister Britons?!?

Your constituents, and the world, are watching, Prime Minister May.

Flashback: Theresa May to create new internet that would be controlled and regulated by government

Theresa May is planning to introduce huge regulations on the way the internet works, allowing the government to decide what is said online.

Particular focus has been drawn to the end of the manifesto, which makes clear that the Tories want to introduce huge changes to the way the internet works.

"Some people say that it is not for government to regulate when it comes to technology and the internet," it states. "We disagree."

Senior Tories confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the phrasing indicates that the government intends to introduce huge restrictions on what people can post, share and publish online.

Days before election, British PM accused of using attacks to push for wider surveillance

But authorities have confirmed that the response to Saturday's attack was "police-led," indicating that there was no prior intelligence, suggesting the government was caught entirely by surprise.

Despite the political rhetoric, neither May nor the police have shown any evidence that the internet was involved in any way.

On one part, it gives a possible insight into why no intelligence was picked up in the first place, and yet on the other, questions remain if greater surveillance would have even helped.

Jun 04 17:01

May’s call for more control of internet misleading and misguided

These are not new suggestions, incidentally, but reiterate proposals in the Conservative Party election manifesto.

They are also misleading and misguided. Misleading because the UK, under the Conservatives, has already recently passed the draconian Investigatory Powers Act, which hands sweeping powers of oversight and surveillance to the government and its agencies.

Under its provisions, the entire browsing history of everyone in the UK must be retained for a year and may be accessed by police and various state agencies. Surveillance agencies have new powers to hack computers and devices, including to conduct secret bulk surveillance on populations outside of the UK.

The government also has the right to demand tech companies insert weaknesses, known as backdoors, into devices and software to enable law enforcement to access data. In addition, encryption on messaging services such as WhatsApp can be removed on government request.

Jun 04 16:54

‘Blame the internet’ is just not a good enough response, Theresa May

Speaking outside 10 Downing St this morning, Theresa May was much more aggressive in her tone than previously. The London Bridge attack had its roots in Islamic extremism, she observed: “We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed. Yet that is precisely what the internet, and the big companies that provide internet-based services, provide.” She continued: “We need to work with allied democratic governments to reach international agreements that regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremism and terrorism planning.”

Which goes to show that when you need a scapegoat, the internet will always be there, as will big internet companies. The latter are by now becoming familiar with the process: there is an attack; the dots are joined to show how their services were used for tuition and/or planning; governments demand “action”; the companies improve their methods for removing extremist content; and we await the next cycle.

War crimes suit filed in Switzerland against former Israeli minister

The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland has confirmed that it is examining a criminal complaint against former Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni, accused of war crimes by a Geneva-based pro-Palestinian group. Livni recently traveled to Lugano in southern Switzerland for a celebration organised by the Swiss-Israel Association.

According to the Le Temps newspaper, Livni has been named in a legal suit filed on Monday by the Geneva-based Urgence Palestine activist group external link in relation to her role in the Israeli military's “Operation Cast Lead” in the Gaza Strip between December 2008 – January 2009. She was foreign minister and acting prime minister at the time.

The Attorney General’s Office external link confirmed to swissinfo.ch that this ‘[legal] request is presently being studied’.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good on the Swiss, here!!

I hope that the principal investigative body doesn't knuckle under, or yield to Israeli pressure here.

Theresa May says the internet must now be regulated following London Bridge terror attack

New international agreements should be introduced to regulate the internet in the light of the London Bridge terror attack, Theresa May has said.

The Prime Minister said introducing new rules for cyberspace would “deprive the extremists of their safe spaces online” and that technology firms were not currently doing enough.

The Prime Minister made the comments outside Downing Street on Sunday morning in the aftermath of the van and knife attack that saw seven people killed and dozens injured.

London attack shows too much tolerance for extremism in UK, May says
"We cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed - yet that is precisely what the internet, and the big companies that provide internet-based services provide,” Ms May said.

“We need to work with allies democratic governments to reach international agreements to regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremist and terrorism planning.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Prime Minister May, a word, please.

Let me start by saying that as a Christian Pacifist Activist, I can never condone violence, ever.

But what of the violence visited upon those countries with resources which the US and UK have expropriated, to which they had utterly no moral right, and whose governments the US and UK have regime changed in order to obtain those resources, and made sure that they were only sold to specific countries, and only for specific currencies?!?

There are no excuses for what happened in London yesterday.

But Prime Minister May, it is hubristic, and disingenuously simplistic in the extreme, to imagine that even without the internet, there would not be blowback from the intense anger caused by these actions, and that this blowback would not, ultimately have horrific consequences.

My heart, soul, and prayers, are with the victims, their families, and their friends. Three of my family surnames are British; they are Yarbrough, Darling, and Rawson, so this is personal for me.

But radicalism of any stripe doesn't just come out of thin air; and if you, and the rest of those in British government serving the British people, are honest with yourself, you also understand this.

So in order to prevent this from becoming the "new normal" in the UK, here is what you and your government need to do.

First, get a consortium from all the great universities in the UK working together, on a very urgent project, to get forms of workable, practical renewable energy created, and patented by the UK government, with some revenue sharing for the universities that helped invent this (Can you imagine what a revenue stream something like THAT would create for the UK?!?)

You have some of the greatest scientific minds on the planet located in the UK; USE THEM!!

This will mean you no longer will have to regime change; invade; or expropriate energy resources anywhere on the planet, ever again.

Withdraw your troops from wherever they are on the planet, except as defense in the UK; use some of the money from that patent to help to heal countries your geopolitical policies have destroyed, like Yemen; Libya; Afghanistan; and Somalia. No geopolitical violence; no counter-violence.

You have the opportunity to have the UK become a trail-blazer for both peace, and the development of alternative energy, which can change the world in a positive way, Prime Minister May. In the Chinese language, the ideogram for "crisis" and "opportunity" is one in the same.

Please seize the opportunity.

STUDY BY MIT ECONOMIST: U.S. HAS REGRESSED TO A THIRD-WORLD NATION FOR MOST OF ITS CITIZENS

America divided – this concept increasingly graces political discourse in the U.S., pitting left against right, conservative thought against the liberal agenda. But for decades, Americans have been rearranging along another divide, one just as stark if not far more significant – a chasm once bridged by a flourishing middle class.

Peter Temin, Professor Emeritus of Economics at MIT, believes the ongoing death of “middle America” has sparked the emergence of two countries within one, the hallmark of developing nations. In his new book, The Vanishing Middle Class: Prejudice and Power in a Dual Economy, Temin paints a bleak picture where one country has a bounty of resources and power, and the other toils day after day with minimal access to the long-coveted American dream.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am seeing how this is playing out on Oahu, and it is not pretty. There are far more homeless than I remember when we arrived here, 20 years ago, and many more panhandlers.

And because we understand how food insecurity is hitting many low income families, and particularly their kids, we contribute to two food bank programs, both co-sponsored by my local church, and in conjunction with a local Catholic church. By the time public funds for food run out (which is usually the third week of the month), there is a "gap" of about a week where these food insecure families cannot buy food, even if they are the wisest, and most careful, of shoppers.

Kids cannot learn if their tummies are growling, because they are hungry.

The way the elementary school program is handled, the kids, who have been certified by the state as coming from food-insecure families, are called away from their classes, and given back packs, filled with basic supplies, like pasta, dried milk, and canned fruits and veggies, to fill the gap. There are a lot of kind-hearted volunteers at both churches who make this happen.
