By B.N. Frank

Many people are aware that California utility company PG&E is being held accountable for playing a significant role in the state’s devastating wildfires.

What many may not know is that insurance companies have taken legal action against PG&E after their “Smart” Meters caught fire on California homes...

MORE PROOF TRUMP IS THE "CONTROLLED OPPOSITION" AFTER ALL

By Brandon Smith
From Bob Livingstone's Personal Liberty Alerts

In the summer of 2016 during the election campaign I examined the Trump phenomenon and how it relates to the globalist narrative. I concluded that Trump would be president based on the fact that having a (supposedly) hardcore nationalist and populist conservative in the White House over the next four years would actually be highly beneficial to the elites. At the time the Federal Reserve was getting ready to tighten liquidity, which would inevitably lead to market volatility and a crash in fundamentals. By the end of Trump's first term, or perhaps at the beginning of his second term, the recessionary crisis would become obvious to the general public. Trump, and all conservatives, would be blamed for the resulting disaster that the banking elites engineered.

Germany told to double payments to Brussels as EU scrambles to replace British billions

Berlin faces having to hand over as much £28.5 billion, according to the latest government estimates. The Brussels’ plan has sparked fury in the German capital and four other rich governments who also face massive hikes in their budget contributions. Germany could be hit by a steep 100 percent rise – from £13 billion in 2020 to £28.5 billion by 2027 – whereas the Netherlands only faces a 50 percent increase.

Under the plan the Dutch government’s contributions to the EU’s multi-billion euro coffers would rise from just under £4.5 billion to almost £6.5 billion by 2027.

Hong Kong plunges into recession as months of violent protests take toll on economy

Months of chaos have hurt Hong Kong’s economy, which has now slid into recession, according to region’s financial secretary, Paul Chan Mo-po.

Financial data set to be released by the government on Thursday shows that Hong Kong’s economy faced two successive quarters of contraction, which is the technical definition of a recession, the official said in a blog post on Sunday.

“The blow to our economy is comprehensive,” the statement added.

Saudi Prince Tells U.S. Congress to Get Over Its Frustrations

Prince Turki criticized congressional representatives on Wednesday for the “horror” and “disdain” they express for Saudi Arabia, saying U.S. lawmakers are unable to perform their jobs to address “issues of racism and racial inequality” and to reform gun ownership laws. He also said that most U.S. media has a “consistently blinkered view” of Saudi Arabia, one that portrays negative events in the kingdom as “being the norm.”

The murder last year of Khashoggi, a U.S resident and Washington Post columnist, as well as the long-running war and humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the detention of Saudi female activists have all strained the kingdom’s relations with much of the Washington establishment outside the White House. Senior lawmakers in both parties remain unified on the issue of punishing the kingdom.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Prince Turki, a moment of your time, please; you see, unlike your Kingdom, where people have utterly no right to either dissent, or to have any choice in those who represent them, there is something to be said about the way in which the US government was originally set up, as a representative government.

It is not that way now, but it used to be.

Yes, this country has a long way to go to deliver on many of its promises to all of its citizens.

But that being said, your Grace, it appears to many Americans that what you are experiencing, in Saudi Arabia, is a moment where intense, unbridaled tribal Feudalism is butting heads heads with 21st century, and the results just look pretty damned ugly, particularly with a 24/7 news cycle, which does, occasionally get it right about your country.

Shall we go over some of those issues, before I get to Yemen, please?!? Gee, I KNEW would understand, Prince; thanks.

And of course, there's that wonderful nicety your country's "flavor" of Wahhabism still encourages, that of female genital mutilation.

The Prevelance of Femail Genital Mutialtion in Saudi Arabia

Do I have your attention, right now, Prince Turki?!?

Can you tell me, Your Highness, that NONE of the above is true, with a straight face, when you understand that the entire world, looks at your country aghast, because of its denials of basic human rights, particularly when it comes peaceful freedom of expression; faith; to representative government, and to women?!?

So now, let's "talk turkey", Prince Turki, about your country's latest meltdown, and I am addressing the war in Yemen; three years on, and even with the best US-enabled weaponry and military assistance, you have not been able to get Yemen forces to yield.

In fact, as of late, you have experienced some rather horriific bombings on home turf, which apparently you never expected.

Yemeni women, children, and the medically fragile elderly all are getting assassinated with absolutely zero discrimination; and sir, I will have to tell you, I hate putting up the following images of what life looks like on the ground for the Yemeni people you are killing; but I promise that I will stop posting these the moment you stop assassinating children, women, and the medically infirm in this country, OK?!?

Yemeni Children, getting blown up with Saudi bombs and killed outright, or crippled for life

Yemeni children, dying of hunger, courtesy of Saudi/US Port blockades, so no desperately needed food can come through

Images: Yemeni children dying of cholera, because Yemen's water infrastructure has been destroyed, and the water possibly weaponized

Finally, Prince Turki, I would suggest to you, and this is something you most probably already understand; everything has a life cycle, from people; to governments; to planets; and for the stars themselves.

But I can promise you that history .... will not be particularly kind to you, nor toward the incessantly brutal regime for which you are "carrying water", here in the US.

Oh yes, later this week, the weapons makers will take your money for their bombs, and convince themselves that they have done "something of value" for "stability" in the region; of course, the sheer, stark reality here is, they have done nothing of the kind, except to insure that this genocide in Yemen is going to continue, and God only knows for how long.

So it is fine with me, if you scold our (theoretically) elected government officials, and those corporations they serve; to "get over it" regarding the assassination of Kashoggi and your war in Yemen; as we both understand, any reasonable read of US history suggests that assassinations have been part of statescraft for the US for some time.

but please, sir, do NOT tell me, as a Christian Pacifist Activist to "get over it" when, by collaborating with Saudi Forces in Yemen, this country, whose nationality I share, becomes guilty of war crimes. as it unfortunately has many times over in its history.

India, Pakistan Slowly Inching Towards Limited Scale Military Conflict

New Delhi (Sputnik): India and Pakistan are doing little to deescalate their border conflict, and the situation on the ground appears to be worsening with each passing week.

At least four civilians have been killed since Thursday and several injured in heavy shelling and firing at different sectors along the Line of Control (LoC), the de-facto border that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

A worrying development is the high and consistent use of artillery by both sides. In previous periods of tension the use of artillery was quite limited and would usually end up with a flag-meet. But this time, the situation seems different.

Pakistan administered Kashmir a Terrorist Controlled Country: Indian Army chief

Speaking at an army function in New Delhi on Friday, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat categorically stated that Pakistan administered Kashmir is “illegally occupied by Pakistan and being controlled by terrorists.”

US TRIES TO REVERSE SYRIAN FORTUNES WITH “BAGHDADI RAID”

SOURCE: NEW EASTERN OUTLOOK

Timing is Everything

The supposed military operation – unfolding just miles from the Syrian-Turkish border – comes at a time when the prospects of America’s proxy war in Syria have reached all time lows.

First – US proxy forces jointly armed and aided by Turkey as well as other US allies – have been all but eliminated from the battlefield with their remnants residing in Idlib, increasingly encircled by Syrian forces.

Attempts by the US to intervene in Syria directly to oversee the overthrow of the government in Damascus was also thwarted by Russia’s military intervention beginning in 2015.

TULSI GABBARD NEEDS TO BE STOPPED... SHE'S TELLING PEOPLE THE TRUTH ABOUT US WARS

SOURCE: FINIAN CUNNINGHAM VIA THE STRATEGIC CULTURE FOUNDATION
No wonder Democratic Party bosses and mainstream media are trying to bury presidential contender Tulsi Gabbard. She is the only candidate, perhaps the only politician in the US, who is telling the American public exactly what they need to know about what their government and military are really up to: fighting illegal regime-change wars, and to boot, sponsoring terrorists for that purpose.

It didn’t come much clearer nor more explicit than when Gabbard fired up the Democratic TV debate this week. It was billed as the biggest televised presidential debate ever, and the Hawaii Representative told some prime-time home-truths to the nation:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Gabbard has been the only one telling the truth about these wars in these debates; and as a combat Vet who has actually SEEN combat, my bets are on her assessments right now.

IF I had the power to do so, I would introduce a national legislation requiring all currently serving members in the House, Senate, and White House, to have their kids drafted first, and serving on the front lines, throughout any war the US may conjure in the future.

When you're playing with the lives of kids whose parents you don't know, and probably never will, that phrase "collateral damage" doesn't mean much, other than an academic whitewash of murder.

And I know this kind of legislation has as much chance of getting passed, and not vetoed, as does pigs discovering that they are aerodynamic.

But I would almost be willing to bet that, if it becomes their kids, or other peoples' kids whose parents they know in Congress or in the Administration, who will be heading up the front lines of these despicable wars for profit, suddenly, we will be finding a multiplicity of other ways to achieve what leadership of the US wants to achieve economically and geopolitically.

TRUMP’S PLAN TO TAKE SYRIAN OIL SLAMMED AS ‘CLEAR VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW’ AND ‘IMPERIAL LOOTING’

President Donald Trump announced plans to violate several longstanding tenets of international law on Sunday morning during a controversial press conference celebrating the death of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, legal experts say.

“We are leaving soldiers to secure the oil,” Trump said. “And we may have to fight for the oil. Maybe somebody else wants the oil, in which case they have a hell of a fight.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

(Sigh) To the legal-eagle minions surrounding President Trump who have advised him that this is a completely reasonable; lawful; and moral; why the hell are you feeding the man this codswallop that this is a perfectly legal thing to do, under international law?!?

Can Trump's real supporters who actually care about Trump's "legacy" as President, PLEASE, gently remove these people from Trump's presence, and put them into the " Rubber Room Wing" of the White House (it's GOT to have one, by now), feed them brilliantly, keep them comfortable and healthy, but primarily safe from expounding upon any position on international law for, oh...let's say... the next one hundred years or so?!?

Because my big question on this planned US move, is to ask Russia's President Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov, precisely what they are going to do about this, to disabuse President Trump from this notion that it is perfectly swell to do this to a sovereign country with which we are not (at the moment) at war?!?

Lord, PLEASE tell me that Trump is not ready to march into Syria for its oil, only to encounter a shooting war with the Russians; the US military does not have the money; the manufacturing; the weaponry; or the troop strength, to bring a successful outcome to a conventional war with Russia over Syria's oil.

ISIS leader has been killed... for the 6th time. Are they trying to distract us from something?

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are a number of things I find very disturbing in the narrative, including, of course, that this is the 6th time this guy has allegedly been killed; and again, killed by being blown to smithereens, courtesy of the US attack team, coupled by the effects of the explosive belt he was allegedly wearing at the time.

How would the US have confirmed that it was actually him, without dental records, or DNA?!?

One has to confess, that comparing the earlier pics of the guy, more current images suggest that he had turned into rather one very heavy, if not morbidly obese, person; so my question is, was it the same person as the person who was depicted in those earlier photos?!?

But what about the kids he allegedly killed with him?!? Are these children merely collateral damage, and no one knew quite who they were, or what their relationship with Al Baghdadi was?!?

And of course, underlying my concerns here, is the reality, that whoever President Obama got shot up, in Abbotabad, Pakistan, was NOT Bin Laden; the guy died of natural causes in December of 2001.

Bin Laden died in Afghanistan in 2001, not in 2011 in Pakistan: American scholar

Osama Bin Laden has been dead since December 2001

And it is very interesting to me, what was done with what should have been "evidence" from the alleged hit on Bin Laden in Abbotabad, Pakistan: if, in fact, the US military got "the right person" here, why would these images be subject to a purge?!?

This article goes on to state:

"US military chief ordered his subordinates to destroy any photographs of Osama bin Laden's body or give them to the CIA. Eleven days after the killing of Osama bin Laden in 2011, the US military's top special operations officer ordered subordinates to destroy any photographs of the al-Qaida founder's corpse or turn them over to the CIA, according to a newly released email.

The email was obtained under a freedom of information request by the conservative legal group Judicial Watch. The document, released on Monday by the group, shows that Admiral William McRaven, who heads the US Special Operations Command, told military officers on 13 May 2011 that photos of Bin Laden's remains should have been sent to the CIA or already destroyed. Bin Laden was killed by a special ops team in Pakistan on 2 May 2011.

McRaven's order to purge the bin Laden material came 10 days after the Associated Press asked for the photos and other documents under the US Freedom of Information Act. Typically, when a freedom of information request is filed to a government agency under the Federal Records Act, the agency is obliged to preserve the material sought – even if the agency later denies the request."

I am almost ready to bet, that if any FOIAs come forward for the alleged (and of course, 6th, definitive) assassination of Al Baghdadi come forward, that we can look at a purge of any imagery which President Trump may have actually viewed from the Situation Room.

After all, Americans have become singularly accustomed to its government lying to them, to start wars and/or occupations of places with specific, extensive natural resources ; it will be interesting to see where President Trump and his "Spin Cycle Team", take this.

And a companion piece, also at blacklistednews.com, has this take on the alleged assassination:

"NO PROOF": RUSSIA DISMISSES TRUMP'S BAGHDADI VICTORY LAP AS ‘PROPAGANDA’ The article goes on to state: "SOURCE: ZERO HEDGE
Moscow is dismissing President Trump's celebratory statements on the US special forces raid which allegedly killed Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as but premature 'propaganda'.

Detailing some of the dismissive statements to come out of Russia hours following the major White House announcement of the terror's leader's death — or what's become the Trump administration's own "bin Laden moment" — The Daily Beast cites Russian state TV correspondent in the United States Denis Davydov as saying “Trump has elections coming up in a year and this announcement of al-Baghdadi’s liquidation will add some points for the Commander-in-Chief.”

PG&E SHUTDOWNS SPREAD ACROSS BAY AREA, MORE MAY COME THIS WEEK

SOURCE: MERCURY NEWS
Nearly 1 million Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers across the Bay Area and elsewhere in Northern California start their first full day without power Sunday and the utility has warned it could do another round of shutdowns if winds pick up later in the week.

The North Bay and northern Sierra foothills were among the first areas to lose power about 5 p.m. Saturday, said Mark Quinlan, the utility’s incident commander for the public safety power shutoff. Parts of the East Bay and South Bay followed, and by early Sunday PG&E’s outage map was sprinkled with dozens of neighborhoods without power.

The shutdowns affect affect well over 2 million residents in 36 counties and PG&E said it could be 48 hours before restorations begin.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To anyone on any medical device requiring electricity in the affected areas; you need to call the medical professional who prescribed this for you, and ask what "back-up plan" should be.

Were it me, in some area like this, I would really think hard and fast about getting a generator, to prevent any disruption in what the device did for me.

Russian Military Releases Satellite Images Confirming US Smuggling of Syrian Oil

The Russian military described the US scheme as nothing less than "international state banditism."

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Russian Defense Ministry published satellite intelligence images proving that oil from Syria was sent abroad under the guard of US servicemen before and after the defeat of the Daesh terrorists, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Saturday.

The ministry spokesman said that "the space intelligence images showed that oil was actively extracted and massively exported for processing outside Syria, under the reliable protection of US troops, before and after the defeat of the Daesh* terrorists."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I never used to believe that I lived in a country where war criminals ruled; now, it is impossible for me to believe otherwise.

Our Presidents have, through the on-going corruption of the military industrial complex, aligned with other influences (such as Tel Aviv, wanting the US to take down every government it doesn't like in the Middle East, which means all of them) US Presidents have become War Criminals of the highest order, including President Obama; he was just a little more shifty about it than an is "in your face" Trump Administration.

Joe Biden intervened at least two times on matters his son Hunter's firms was being paid to lobby on, according to government records reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

The incidents took place when Biden was a senior and influential US senator, years before he infamously leveraged his position as Vice President to benefit a Ukrainian gas company whose board Hunter sat on.

On Feb 28, 2007, then-Senator Biden reached out to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to let them know that he was "concerned about the Department's proposed chemical security regulations authorized by Section 550 of DHS Appropriations Act of 2007."

The rule, passed in 2006 as part of the DHS appropriations bill, requires chemical plants considered to be high-risk submit site safety plans to DHS for approval - which are to include security credentialing and employee training efforts.

"I'm Very Proud Of The Enemies I Have": Soros Predicts Victory For Globalists In 2020

Progressive billionaire George Soros believes that the global surge in nationalism - from Brexit to Trump - is an aberration, and that globalism will make a resurgence after the 2020 US election.

In a recent interview with the New York Times (in which he also endorsed Elizabeth Warren), the 89-year-old investor opined last week in a collection of essays called "In Defense of Open Society" that his brand of globalism - which he defines as an integrated, open society which abides by the law (which is easy to do when allied lawmakers are making them) - is out of favor. Instead, Trump's "America First" approach, debates over Brexit and trade wars have taken precedent.

Looking out a window with expansive views of Central Park, Mr. Soros spoke about China, Mr. Trump and who he thinks will face off against the president in next year’s election.

Generation X Faces A Bleak, Impoverished Old Age

Authored by Ted Rall via Unz.com,

In 1991, demographers Neil Howe and William Strauss published their awkwardly titled tome “13th Gen,” about Generation X — the Americans born between 1961 and 1981. If Xers had paid attention, they would have committed suicide.

“Child poverty, employment, wages, home ownership, arrest records — in every category, this generation, the 13th since the American Revolution, is doing worse than the generation that came before,” New York Times book critic Andrew Leonard wrote at the time.

“Indeed, for the first time since the Civil War, the authors of ’13th Gen’ keep reminding us, young people are unlikely to surpass the affluence of their parents.”

Here's Why Trump's "Secure Syria's Oil" Plan Will Prove Practically Impossible

The below analysis is provided by "Ehsani" — a Middle East expert, Syrian-American banker and financial analyst who visits the region frequently and writes for the influential geopolitical analysis blog, Syria Comment.

Much has been debated since President Trump tweeted that “The U.S has secured the oil” in Syria. Is this feasible? Does it make any sense? The below will explain how and why the answer is a resounding NO.

Al-Omar and Conoco fields are already secured by Kurdish-led SDF and U.S forces. Some of the oil from these fields was being sold through third parties to Syria's government by giving it in crude form and taking back half the quantity as refined product (the government owns the refineries).

Webmaster's Commentary:

One of the issues conveniently left out of this analysis is, how long will Russia wait to disabuse President Trump over the statement he has made about "controlling Syria's oil"?!?

I am not a betting person, but I would almost be willing to bet, not for long.

Turkey Close To Purchasing Russian Su-35 Jets After Lockheed Deal Blocked

Turkey's Daily Sabah reports that Ankara is close to purchasing an initial round of Su-35 fighter jets from Russia, in what would mark a huge reversal of course following the heated Lockheed F-35 fighter and Russian S-400 saga with Washington, which has sunk US-Turkey relations to a low point over the past year.

Citing Turkish defense sources, the report reveals:

Turkish and Russian officials are discussing the details of the sale of a total of 36 Su-35 fighter jets to Turkey, two months after President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an's visit to the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS) aviation show outside of Moscow.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This was a very simple, and rational, choice by Edrogan; the SU-35 fighter jets work; Lockheed-Martin's F-35, after billions of dollars spent, and legitimate complaints by excellent US fighter pilots, does not.

The Plundering Of Ukraine By Corrupt American Democrats

Authored by Israel Shamir via The Unz Review,m

Top Dems are involved in the plundering of the Ukraine: new names, mind-boggling accounts. The mysterious ‘whistleblower’ whose report had unleashed the impeachment is named in the exclusive interview given to the Unz Review by a prominent Ukrainian politician, an ex-Member of Parliament of four terms, a candidate for Ukraine’s presidency, Oleg Tsarev.

Oleg, you followed Biden story from its very inception. Biden is not the only Dem politician involved in the Ukrainian corruption schemes, is he?
Indeed, John Kerry, the Secretary of State in Obama’s administration, was his partner-in-crime. But Joe Biden was number one. During the Obama presidency, Biden was the US proconsul for Ukraine, and he was involved in many corruption schemes. He authorised transfer of three billion dollars of the US taxpayers’ money to the post-coup government of the Ukraine; the money was stolen, and Biden took a big share of the spoils.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable, but yet it happened... under Obama's watch.

Russia in Middle East: The Unputdownable Putin

A cursory look at Putin’s Middle East maneuvers shows up the man as the cleverest player among the big powers competing for influence in the region.

While Russia’s direct military intervention in Syria and its success in providing a lifeline to the crumbling Assad regime is much talked about, because of the loss of face it incurred for the US, its other moves are equally interesting, particularly its ability to win the trust of both Iran and its arch rivals in the region.

Russia Is Taking Over Syria’s Oil And Gas

The Russians own the rights to producing Syrian oil. They are getting ready to assert those rights and give Trump a big slap in the face.
The Dog in the Manger will soon be kicked out.

In accordance with an energy cooperation framework agreement signed in late January, Russia will have exclusive rights to produce oil and gas in Syria.

The agreement goes significantly beyond that, stipulating the modalities of the rehabilitation of damaged rigs and infrastructure, energy advisory support, and training a new generation of Syrian oilmen. Still, the main international aspect and the key piece of this move is the final and unconditional consolidation of Russian interests in the Middle East.

Charles Hugh Smith: "This Is What Worries Me"

Authored by Charles Hugh Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

In this disintegrative phase, people are increasingly indignant if their magical-thinking "solution" is challenged.

The turmoil over "facts" and "fake news" is another manifestation. As financial commentator Ben Hunt recently put it, the "tells" are all being manipulated to support a dominant narrative. So the unemployment rate, consumer inflation and the stock market are all manipulated to support the illusion that all is going swimmingly.

As the distance between these fantasy "facts" and experiential reality widen, trust in these "tells" (i.e. trustworthy indicators) declines.

As trust in these "facts" and the "experts" who gin them up declines, the corporate media and authorities double-down in support of their fictitious "facts": any doubters are "conspiracy theorists," purveyors of "fake news," or dastardly Russian stooges repeating "Kremlin talking points."

"We Want To Keep The Oil"

Authored by Caitlin Johnstone via Medium.com,

“Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand,
workin’ in the dark against your fellow man.
But as sure as God made black and white
what’s down in the dark will be brought to the light.”

~ Johnny Cash/traditional, ‘God’s Gonna Cut You Down’

The Grayzone has an excellent new article out titled “US troops are staying in Syria to ‘keep the oil’ — and have already killed hundreds over it” detailing the many ways the Trump administration has openly admitted that it is keeping US troops in Syria to control the nation’s oil fields so that the Syrian government can’t use it to fund reconstruction efforts.

“We’ve secured the oil, and therefore a small number of US troops will remain in the area where they have the oil,” Trump said in a recent press conference.

“And we’re going to be protecting it. And we’ll be deciding what we’re going to do with it in the future.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please; neither the United States, nor Israel, has the right to invade a sovereign country, and profit from its natural resources, to keep its government from using its natural resources for reconstruction.

And whoever gave you any cock-eyed notion that this was either legal, or moral, should be crate-trained, like a little puppy, so as not to let its foulness further pollute the already criminal opinion so many, both around the world, and within this country, have of the US government right now.

When I was a kid, and easily impressed by public school propaganda, I used to believe that this country would, or could, do no wrong; then came the VietNam War, and I have never been able to trust this government ever since.

And it has not been helping that ever since your inauguration in 2017, you have added a new, and truly ignoble title, to that of the Office of the President of the United States: The United States' Merchant of Death in Chief, a role you obviously relish, particularly with regard to the Saudi monarchy and government, with which the US military and government are deeply "in bed", through the continuation, and aiding and abetting, of Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

When I was a kid, I could never have imagined that I would be living in a country run by war criminals; unfortunately, that has absolutely become the case with the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, and one can vote, and vote, and vote, hoping and praying something will change, yet nothing ever does; it is simply a case of which war criminals are in power at any given time.

I had so hoped, during the last election cycle, that your administration would, somehow, be different, given your campaign rhetoric, and that those promises about being less war-centric, as a method for the US government to achieve what it wanted, both geopolitically, and financially, might possibly be honored.

They have not been honored, no will they be in the future; simply put, you are just another frightful, massively disappointing caricature of a politician, driven by your obscene obeisance to Tel Aviv, and the financial desires of the people in the military/industrial complex, who surround you. and advise you.

But a question which should be keeping both you, and your advisors, up nights is the following; what is Putin's Russia going to do to keep this oil theft from becoming permanent?!? Mr. President, are you and your advisors ready to bring this country to war against Russia, for defending Syria's sovereignty?!?

40 Killed, 1,000 Wounded In One Day As Violent Protests Sweep Across Iraq

A surge in violent clashes with police marked another deadly week of protests in Iraq, after two weeks ago over 150 were killed and over 6,000 wounded nationwide when the large-scale demonstrations began.

On Friday over 40 protesters were killed in clashes with police, and according to security sources cited in Reuters, an "Iranian-backed militia opened fire to try to quell renewed demonstrations."

Baghdad's central diplomatic compound area which hosts the heavily fortified American Embassy among others has remained on security lock-down throughout much of the month.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How in the world would Reuters know that the killings were done by "an Iranian-backed militia"?!?

The short answer is, they don't; Iran was simply a convenient country to blame for this escalation in violence.

Were I a betting woman, I would almost be willing to bet that those militia members doing the shooting and killing, were either American or Israeli military; this would be "the justification" for stopping the American withdrawal from the country, as its leadership is currently demanding.

Could it have been some of Muktada Al Sadr's people, former members of his Mahdi Army, which gave the US and Debathified Sunni militias such grief after the fall of Saddam Hussein?!? Possibly.

But again, why would Al Sadr's people give the US its excuse for staying in-country?!?

The guy may be many things, but stupid is absolutely not one of them; the fact that he is still breathing air, readily testifies to his mental acuity.

'Outrageous': Analysis Shows $1.7 Billion Payout for WeWork CEO Equal to Years of Salary for Company's Expected 4,000 Laid Off Workers

Adam Neumann, the CEO of beleaguered work-sharing start-up WeWork, will walk away from the company with $1.7 billion, enough money to easily pay over four years of salaries for the 4,000 workers expected to be laid off in the company's restructuring.

That's according to Sean Porter, a data scientist at analyst firm Decision Data. For the hypothetical, Porter assumed each worker makes an average of $90,000 due to self-reporting and employee demographics.

Should Erdogan's Summit With Putin Be Ringing Alarm Bells For NATO?

Authored by Con Coughlin via The Gatestone Institute,

With Turkey seemingly intent on forging an ever-closer relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the time has come to give serious consideration to Ankara's continued membership of the NATO alliance.

When the Turks first became members of NATO back in 1952, it was because their country was seen as a vital bulwark against the Soviet Union. Having Turkey in NATO meant it was easier to monitor the activities of the Soviet Black Sea fleet, and limited Moscow's ability to spread its tentacles into eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Now, thanks to the increasingly anti-Western conduct of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, none of these considerations remains relevant.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Coughlin, a word, please.

We know who you are and what you represent; The Gatestone Institute The Wikipedia article goes on to state:

'Gatestone Institute is a conservative think tank with a focus on Islam and the Middle East. It was founded in 2008 by Nina Rosenwald, who serves as its president. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former national security advisor, John R. Bolton, was its chairman from 2013 to March 2018.'

First, I would like to politely ask just what NATO should do with Turkey at this time?!? Invade, perhaps, with Russia coming in to assist the Turks, as they did so remarkably well with Bashar Al Assad's Syria?!?

And what, sir, about the US nuclear missiles, still held at Incirkik?!? Would you suggest some kind of decap strike through which to secure them, then take a beeline out of Turkey, to store them "somewhere safe"?

It looks like the nearest NATO country, and relatively new to NATO participation, is Bulgaria Map: Turkey and Surrounding Countries

We are looking at a nearly 2 hours in, and two hours out; this is way too long to insure safely getting in, and getting out, of Turkey, without affecting a successful decap strike on Istanbul first; at what cost to NATO and Turkish military personnel, Mr. Coughlin?!?

Apparently, Mr. Coughlin has a difficult time getting how NATO has really been ignoring Turkey, as it continues surrounding Russia with NATO troops and equipment in both Europe, and particularly in former Communist entities:

US boosts number of high-precision weapons in sea waters surrounding Russia – Navy chief

Amid rising tensions, NATO chief pitches confrontation with Russia to US Congress

Preperations for War: NATO/US Intelligence Activities Increase around Russian Border

Folks, just because something would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing for NATO and the US to do, regarding Russia, is utterly zero guarantee that they won't do it.

And I would like to also politely remind Mr. Coughlin, that the US was attempting to sell Erdogan, his Military, and all of Turkey on a still-flawed, horribly dysfunctional defense system in the F-35 fighter.

F35 Flaws are being hidden, so LOCKHEED-MARTIN can declare that the development phase is done.

Pentagon is battling the clock to fix serious, hither-to, unreported F-35 problems

F-35 Fighter Jets Face Serious Flaws, Report Finds

F-35 faces most critical test

And forgive me, Mr. Coughlin, but why in the name of Heaven, is the US President Trump attempting to "sell" our NATO ally, Edrogan's Turkey, on the concept of buying these still very flawed fighters, when the world has seen precisely how wonderful the Russian S-400 defensive system has worked in Syria?

The point is, sir, when the US and NATO push Turkey away from them, Turkey is going to behave as the one which has been slighted here; that no one in the State Department, Pentagon, or White House saw this coming, was absolutely a catastrophic failure of imagination on their part.

Central Bank Hints At A "Big Reset" And Reveals A Possible Solution

Via Birch Gold Group,

It’s not every day you hear a major financial institution hint at the possibility of the entire economic system collapsing.

The reason major financial institutions (and the mainstream financial media) shy away from a negative outlook on the economy is out of fear of triggering a kind of “self-fulfilling prophecy.” People stampeding to sell stocks and pull money out of banks could cause a vicious cycle of declines and losses.

And so these institutions tend to be positive, no matter what is really happening. But if a hungry bear is standing behind you in the woods, do you want to be “optimistic” and hope it isn’t there?

Maybe reality has finally started to sink in. Zero Hedge captured the stark state of the “system” by quoting an article from the Dutch Central Bank:

Webmaster's Commentary:

When you hear or see a major bank write, or utter, words like this, it is time to get truly serious about making certain you have only enough cash in the bank to pay the bills, and find ways to invest, other than the US dollar.

But if the Dutch Central Bank is moving their gold reserves to a secured military facility, it appears that they are just about as serious about this as is a heart attack.

China Has Quietly Built A New “Great Wall” Cutting Across The Heart Of Europe

"The original Great Wall is a long brick structure that was built to keep northern barbarians out of China during ancient times," a new alarming report in Nikkei Asian Review detailing China's 'new Great Wall' rising in the heart of Europe recalls, but "The modern-day Great Wall in Europe is economic."

Beijing is waging an impressive influence campaign, complete with English-speaking news channels beamed across the Balkans, to "reach out to ex-Communist countries on the periphery of the EU," the report finds, as well as playing host to major China-East European economic summits in places like Dubrovnik, Croatia — site of a major annual conference last April, attended by no less than 17 European countries, including 12 members of the European Union.

And in other Balkan countries like Serbia, still reeling from the 1999 US-NATO bombing of Belgrade and later US-recognition of Kosovo independence, state-owned Chinese companies are active and on the rise.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to politely mention that, to get what it wants, geopolitically and economically, China makes trade deals and agreements; to get what it wants, geopolitically and economically, the US government rains down war and death.

What is wrong with this picture?!? BLOODY EVERYTHING, FOLKS!!

PG&E Crashes To All Time Low Over Fears It Will Be Blamed For Latest California Inferno

Shares of California's largest, insolvent utility, PG&E, plunged 26% to a new all time low on Friday...

... amid speculation that the company - which filed for bankruptcy at the start of the year as it was faced with soaring legal liabilities over its involvement in the most destructive California fire in history - would be held liable for the Kincade Fire which is burning in northern California, and has already affected 16,000 acres.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Prayers for all affected here, and also that the professional and volunteer fire fighters involved can get this blaze out.

But if, in fact, PG & E can be proven culpable, they should be sued out of existence, broken up, and become a true utility company, dedicated to service for all California.

There is a sister article posted, also at zerohedge.com, which deserves some attention as well, and that is:
