China, the NBA, and the Massive Face of Globalism

By Jon Rappoport

Let’s get one thing straight. The Chinese people, whether they appear happy or sad, support their government because they’re controlled. After generations of being beaten down, the population bows the head and bends the knee to slave masters. Call that freedom if you want to.

And if you really believe the situation in America is no better than the system in China, even with the amount of censorship alive and well in America, even with the rigging of this economy, try an experiment. Move to China and start publishing articles relentlessly critical of the government there. See what happens. Be sure to leave a copy of your last Will and Testament at home...

Central Bank Issues Stunning Warning: "If The Entire System Collapses, Gold Will Be Needed To Start Over"

It's not just "tinfoil blogs" who (for the past 11 years) have been warning that a monetary reset is inevitable and the only viable fallback option once trust and faith in fiat is lost, is a gold standard (something which even Mark Carney hinted at recently): central banks are joining the doom parade now too.

An article published by the De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), or Dutch Central Bank, has shocked many with its claim that "if the system collapses, the gold stock can serve as a basis to build it up again. Gold bolsters confidence in the stability of the central bank's balance sheet and creates a sense of security."

Matt Taibbi: "We're In A Permanent Coup"

I’ve lived through a few coups. They’re insane, random, and terrifying, like watching sports, except your political future depends on the score.

On Thursday, news broke that two businessmen said to have “peddled supposedly explosive information about corruption involving Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden” were arrested at Dulles airport on “campaign finance violations.” The two figures are alleged to be bagmen bearing “dirt” on Democrats, solicited by Trump and his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman will be asked to give depositions to impeachment investigators. They’re reportedly going to refuse. Their lawyer John Dowd also says they will “refuse to appear before House Committees investigating President Donald Trump.” Fruman and Parnas meanwhile claim they had real derogatory information about Biden and other politicians, but “the U.S. government had shown little interest in receiving it through official channels.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Matt Taibbi has nailed this; what I am seeing here, makes me very nervous, indeed.

Behind Hong Kong’s Black Terror

Deciphering who’s behind the violence leads to a long list of possibilities
By Pepe Escobar
Global Research, October 13, 2019

Still, before the violence broke out, hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong people had gathered in peaceful protests in June, illustrating the depth of feeling that exists in Hong Kong. These are the working-class Hongkongers that Lai supports through the pages of Apple Daily.

For the black blocs, the burning is all about them – not Hong Kong, the city and its hard-working people. Those are all subjected to the will of this fringe minority that, according to the understaffed and overstretched Hong Kong police force, numbers 12,000 people at the most.

The black bloc matrix.

Are You Ready to Die? The US Military/ Security Complex Wants Tensions to Increase

The American military/security complex wants the tensions to increase, because this makes the orchestrated “Russian Threat” even larger and leads to a larger budget and more profits and power for the US military/security complex. The military/security complex about which President Eisenhower warned us, to no effect, has been highly successful in dismantling the arms control agreements made between past US and Russian leaders. This has raised the profits of the US military/security complex at the expense of the security of the world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although there are many pieces authored by Engdahl with which I agree mightily, this is not one of them.

Russian President Putin, and the people he has around him, may be many things, but foolish... is not one of them.

I don't think that Vlad and the Gang at the Kremlin, have any doubts about what the US government is attempting to pull here; but we have to take a look at the non-war ways in which Russia is trying to stop this, and here is a beautiful example, today, from zerohedge.com: Russia Considers Energy Exports In Euros, Rubles As Putin's De-Dollarization Continues

And if, ultimately, no one wants what is actually worthless US paper, which has no intrinsic value, as does gold or silver, what happens?!?

We may well see one of two options here; either a complete US economic collapse, or a Third World War, generated by this Last-gasp-of-empire country, the now unhinged, surveilled state of Amerika.

Unfortunately, Russia's military weaponry can run circles around nearly anything the US has produced yet, and they conscript, where the US does not; so how does the US win a war against Russia (and most probably China)
without the money; the troop strength; and the weaponry to make this happen?!?

The short answer is, right now, the US government and military may well not be able to win such a war, and would have to ask for terms of surrender, if there is anything left to surrender from such a war.

Phonegate Alert: 9 Out of 10 Mobile Phones Fail When Safety Tested in Real Use Conditions. Manufacturers Knowingly Overexposed Us to RF Radiation

By B.N. Frank

It’s not a big surprise that we can’t trust phone manufacturers.  For many years they have been warning their shareholders – not the public – that they may eventually be held liable for causing harm with their products and transmitters.  Perhaps that’s why insurance companies haven’t been covering them.

In August the Chicago Tribune reported that 11 smartphone models exceeded federal Radio Frequency (RF) Radiation limits which led to Fegan Scott law firm filing class action lawsuits.

Since 2018, Phonegate Alert has been reporting about RF safety issues with phones and more.  Earlier this month, they published this update...

Indigenous-Led Protests Rock Ecuador Decrying IMF Deal and Demanding Moreno’s Resignation

Karma for Moreno's treatment of Assange?

QUITO, ECUADOR — “We don’t have a state! We don’t have any state!” The lady’s voice projects through a loudspeaker amid the crowd. She’s not having it. Nor is the groundswell of hundreds, if not thousands who’ve converged at Plaza Grande trolley stop, just meters from Simon Bolivar’s statue at the entrance to Quito’s historic center. They’ve come to express their disquiet over a fresh round of austerity measures declared by Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno last week, the backbreaker being the now-infamous fuel subsidy cut, as part of a $4.2 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan package.

Reactions to My Tweet Reveal the Ignorant Brutality of Young Socialists and Communists

An eye-opening social experiment unfolded on my Twitter feed over the past several days that reveals a lot about America’s new brand of young communists and socialists.

Not to bury the lede: Yes, they are still as repugnantly brutal as their predecessors in St. Petersburg and Phnom Penh – but today they add ignorance and infantilism to the toxic mix.

In other words, it is their professors who are to be blamed.

Cannabis Cleans Up Nuclear Radiation and Toxic Chemical Waste

Industrial hemp has been used to clean up deadly pollutants before. The most famous use of industrial hemp for phytoremediation was near the site of the deadly nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl, Ukraine. In the mid-1990s, a company named Phytotech worked with researchers and a Ukraine-based seed bank to plant thousands of hemp plants in and around Chernobyl.

Phytoremediation is a relatively new process, but it is very helpful.

Iran: Looking Towards a Bright Future

Iran is a modern society with an ancient history. Together with China it is one of the world’s oldest continuous civilizations. For centuries it was the center of an ancient and vibrant culture, that can trace its origins back at least 7000 years before the Christian era.

A knowledge of and understanding of this proud and lengthy history is central to an appreciation of the stance taken by modern Iranian leaders to the imperialist ambitions of the United States whose post World War II presence in the West Asian region (the ‘middle east’ is an entirely European construct and his little geographical significance or meaning).

Nevada becomes 1st state to ban most pre-employment pot tests

It is ok to use alcohol at home when you are not working. It should be legal to use Cannabis when you are on your own time and not working!

Even as 11 states, plus Washington, D.C., have legalized recreational cannabis, lawmakers have struggled to find consensus on the question of whether employers could reject an applicant over their pot use. Now Nevada has become the first to push through that protection.

5G – THE GLOBAL HUMAN EXPERIMENT WITHOUT CONSENT

5G is the next generation of cell phone infrastructure, yet it is categorically different than its predecessors (4G/LTE, 3G, 2G, etc.). It is not a simple upgrade. It is a major increase – and change – in the type of wireless radiation to which we will all be exposed, without consent, whether we use this service or not.

China's Modern Blueprint For Global Power

Authored by Lawrence Franklin via The Gatestone Institute,

The People's Republic of China, which celebrated its 70th anniversary on October 1, is led by the Chinese Communist Party's General Secretary, President Xi Jinping. In his speeches, Xi often refers to "Qiang Zhong Gwo Meng" ("the Chinese dream"), a code phrase for the era of rejuvenation when China will eventually overtake the United States as the most powerful nation in the world.

Beijing apologists depict China as a non-predatory power, comparing it favorably to Europe's colonial countries in the past and to today's United States.

Similarly, the state-controlled Chinese media depict Chinese statecraft as being based on and reflecting ancient Confucian ethics:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I fail to see precisely where the article is supposed to inform/lead the US government on its foreign policy concerning the stellar rise of China, both economically, and as a nation state; however, that being said, reading the ending attributions does give one a sense of who the person is who wrote it,and their respective mindset.

The guy's name: Lawrence Franklin; please remember that.

So what would this former Iran Desk Officer under former Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, a war criminal many times over, have We the People, and the US government, do?

Are we, as were the Pope's soldiers instructed by at the siege of Montsegur during the persecution of the Cathars in Languedoc, administered by Papal Prelate, Dominique de Guzman (who was, of course, later sanctified by the Roman Church as "St. Dominic) supposed to support a movement animated by the cry, "Kill them all; God will find His own"?!?

OK, shall the US government exterminate millions of innocents because it doesn't particularly like the current philosophy and goals of their current government?!? IF it looks like a war crime; moves like a war crime, and smells like a war crime (massive amounts of putrefying human flesh with no remedy for the stench), it's is a war crime, folks.

So what do we do as a country?!? IF it is still possible by any of the alleged brainiacs inhabiting the "think tanks" of this country, OUTTHINK THEM!!!

Put this country on a currency based on intrinsic value; declare a "jubilee" for debt forgiveness; and create weapons which actually, really work in combat.

Next, haul presidents of all the companies who hobnob with Washington's elite, yet consistently turn out junk which, even after years of fixes, and cost-over-runs, like the F-35, fail in combat situations into a court of law, charge and convict them with "failure to deliver", and have them cool their heels in a non "Club Fed" environment for some time.

That would go a long way toward curing the problem; of course, that will never happen, so we are looking at two possible outcomes here; World War III, or a complete collapse of the American government.

I don't like either option; but having this country's government go down into complete financial ruin would be less hazardous to the health of the the entire planet, than another world war.

Sorry for the "gloomanddoomistic" tone of this post, but please remember: everything has a life cycle; people; governments, and yes, planets themselves have a life cycle, including this earth, when our sun becomes extinct.

Cannabis: A Lost History

Cannabis, better known as marijuana, has been used for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. Historical remnants from all around the world reveal the importance of cannabis in medicine and spirituality
The earliest written references to cannabis are found in the Chinese Materia Medica, written by Shen Nung around 2800 B.C. Nung documented 100 conditions that responded well to cannabis, including gout and rheumatism
For thousands of years, cannabis remained one of the 50 essential plants used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Vedas, the sacred text of India, also lists cannabis as one of five sacred plants
The ancient Egyptians, Persians and Greeks also used cannabis in a variety of ways, including medicinally and for spiritual upliftment

The US and China have reached a “very substantial phase one” deal, US President Donald Trump has declared. Tariffs due to take effect on Tuesday have been canceled, and markets responded with elation.
Phase one of the deal includes intellectual property, financial services, and agricultural purchases, Trump announced on Friday during a meeting with Chinese vice premier Liu He in the Oval Office, adding that the actual agreement may take up to five weeks to write. Planned tariff increases from 25 to 30 percent on some $250 billion in Chinese goods due to take effect next week have been scrapped.

EU civil war breaks out as Austria spearheads rebellion against post-Brexit budget hike

AUSTRIA is on a collision course with incoming president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen after reiterating its vehement opposition to the EU’s insistence that each of the EU27 should pay a minimum annual contribution of 1.1 percent of GDP.

And Austrian finance minister Eduard Muller said the EU would need to tighten its belt after Britain, which makes an annual contribution of more than £13billon, leaves the bloc, rather than simply expecting everyone else to pay more. The Commission affirmed the figure at a meeting in Brussels on Wednesday, relating to the amount each member state is expected to pay into the EU’s multi-annual budget, which runs from 2021 to 2027.

Speaking prior to the meeting, Mr Muller warned: “A smaller EU has to manage with a smaller budget.

CHINA’S SANCTIONS AGAINST AMERICAN FARMERS ARE LIKELY PERMANENT

The American farmer keeps getting bombarded with bad news, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be alleviated any time soon. The tariffs the Chinese slapped on American soybeans are corn are likely to do permanent and everlasting damage to the economy.

It’s a fear many farmers from North Dakota to Mississippi have acknowledged for the past year, according to a report by Forbes. American farmers have raised their concerns about everlasting damage because they’ve invested millions of dollars in soybean expansion because of China. Now that Chinese demand has moved to Brazil instead, that market (and their investment) may be lost for good and it can be blamed on the trade war.

China’s decision to stop buying commodities like soybeans from U.S. farmers has already done irreversible damage to the agricultural industry. Soybeans had been rotting in silos and farmers have no one to buy their goods – meaning they will likely begin missing payments if they haven’t already.

But profits only increased by £36million to £97million - meaning the Treasury only received £28million in corporation tax - with a £356million research and development bill and a £431million wage and pension bill blamed.

Jeff Bezos’s Master Plan

At the heart of this faith is a text Bezos read as a teen. In 1976, a Princeton physicist named Gerard K. O’Neill wrote a populist case for moving into space called The High Frontier, a book beloved by sci-fi geeks, NASA functionaries, and aging hippies. As a Princeton student, Bezos attended O’Neill seminars and ran the campus chapter of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space. Through Blue Origin, Bezos is developing detailed plans for realizing O’Neill’s vision.

Return to Russia: Crimeans Tell the Real Story of the 2014 Referendum and Their Lives Since

IMFEROPOL, CRIMEA — In early August I traveled to Russia for the first time, partly out of interest in seeing some of the vast country with a tourist’s eyes, partly to do some journalism in the region. It also transpired that while in Moscow I was able to interview Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry.

High on my travel list, however, was to visit Crimea and Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) — the former a part of Russia, the latter an autonomous republic in the east of Ukraine, neither accurately depicted in Western reporting. Or at least that was my sense looking at independent journalists’ reports and those in Russian media.

200-square-foot ‘shed’ renting for $1,050 a month in California

A rental listing in San Diego received some backlash from locals who say the rental illustrates how bad the cost of living has become in the city.

On a rental site called Zumper, the listing shows a 200-square-foot “studio” that is located in the University Heights neighborhood.

Monthly rent is $1,050 but the potential renter must have an income 2.5 times more than that and a credit score of 650 or better. They must also have good rental references and no rental evictions on their record.

The small abode comes with a wall air conditioning unit, full bathroom and a kitchen with a mini-fridge and full-sized stove and oven.
