September 11, 2001: “The Global War on Terrorism” is Fake. Al Qaeda is “Made in America”

The tragic events of 9/11 provided the required justification to wage war on Afghanistan on “humanitarian grounds”, with the full support of World public opinion and the endorsement of the “international community”. Several prominent “progressive” intellectuals made a case for “retaliation against terrorism”, on moral and ethical grounds. The “just cause” military doctrine (jus ad bellum) was accepted and upheld at face value as a legitimate response to 9/11.

In the wake of 9/11, the antiwar movement was completely isolated. The trade unions and civil society organizations had swallowed the media lies and government propaganda. They had accepted a war of retribution against Afghanistan, an impoverished country in Central Asia of 30 million people.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When the official narrative is an absolute lie, those in power will attempt to do ANYTHING to prevent the truth from coming out; this is one of the myriad reasons I so respect my husband, Michael Rivero, who is the webmaster of this site, as well as those who contribute to it.

Telling the truth is hard, and sometimes feels thankless, and God only knows, is NOT financially lucrative; people who perpetuate the lies are handsomely compensated.

EU Elites Are at Last Waking Up to Their Lockdown Folly

Did you hear it? Beyond the second wave sirens and the schools debate, the sound of the penny dropping on the global stage. In recent days, world leaders have hinted at an extraordinary admission: lockdowns are a disaster, and we can’t afford to repeat the mistake.

The Stage Is Set for a Venezuela October Surprise?

The hybrid war against Venezuela is intensifying as the U.S. presidential campaign is heating up. The Trump administration and its Venezuelan and international allies have set the stage for an October surprise, a possible attack by the United States or one of its proxies designed to boost President Trump’s reelection. The attacks on Venezuela are coming from multiple dimensions, including overt military pressure, economic pressure, covert operations, and disinformation campaigns. All of these are elements of a hybrid war that has sought to overthrow the government of President Nicolás Maduro over the past years, and each element has seen new developments over the past few weeks, just as Venezuela is battling a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Overt military pressure

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question, regarding any kind of coup or regime change against the Maduro government, falls squarely on the soldiers of its military; if Maduro's military remains loyal, I do not think the government can be brought to its knees;that being said, if decides to back the outsiders because they have been promised promotions, percs, or better pay, then all bets are off.

U.S. Control of Alexandroupolis Port Will Not Help to Protect Greece from Turkey

The Greek Private Asset Utilization Fund (HRADF) will sell a 67% stake of Alexandroupolis Port in northern Greece near the border with Turkey and Bulgaria. Two American companies are believed to be interested in the deal. Selling a port of strategic importance to U.S. companies, coupled with the availability of the facility for U.S. and NATO troops, is raising many questions in Greece. The Mediterranean country remains only one in two countries surveyed in NATO where the civilian population is not in favor of the alliance and only 36% of Greeks view the U.S. favourably. An announcement issued by HRADF emphasized that the bid consisted of two phases – “in the first phase, interested parties are invited to express their intention to participate before 5:00 pm on October 2, 2020.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Greater Turkey"?!?!?

Where is NATO in all this?!? this must be settled peacefully, through negotiations, or all hell is about to break loose, both in Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.

Because if they allow this Turkish madness to continue, it will mean the utter death of NATO.

Greece will defend every one of their possession in the Eastern Aegian islands to the blood of their last soldier on the field; and if the Turks do not understand that, they are out of their collective minds.

Turkey intercepts six Greek F-16 jets in the Mediterranean as tensions rise

Turkey said on Saturday it will hold a military exercise off northwest Cyprus for the next two weeks, two days after it intercepted six Greek F-16 jets in the Mediterranean amid growing tensions with Athens over energy exploration rights.

Video footage posted by the Turkish defence ministry on Friday purportedly showed Turkish Air Force planes preventing the Greek aircraft from entering the area where Turkey was operating. The F-16s had departed from the island of Crete and were heading towards southern Cyprus, the statement said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word on this, please, sir; we have two NATO-member countries, very close to starting shooting war over gas exploration in the Mediterranean; this needs to get de-escalated, and quickly.

Not only have the billionaire class made money, they have tightened their monopolistic grip on the levers of money supply and distribution, turning a global rigged casino into a global company town.

So we have a lawless system. What does this mean for citizens and investors? In the near term it means that the fundamentals will not apply. Anything that maintains or augments elite wealth and increases elite options will be supported, and anything that consumes or converts common people’s wealth and labor and restricts their choices will be pursued.

Pinterest Pays $89.5 Million To Abandon Upcoming Lease In San Francisco

Things are going so great in California that Pinterest just paid $89.5 million to cancel its 490,000-square-foot lease at the upcoming 88 Bluxome project in San Francisco.

The company blames working from home as a result of the pandemic as the reason for abandoning the lease - but we're sure the state's rising taxes, impending real estate market crash and conversion of the property to a temporary homeless shelter in March likely helped contribute to the decision making.

Either way, Pinterest wanted out of the lease so badly they were willing to fork over a hefty sum to ensure they would not be held to it. The company's total lease obligations for the property would have amounted to $440 million.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at the dirty drug-infested hole into which the City of San Francisco has allowed itself to fall, can one blame Pinterest for breaking its lease?!?

The short answer is, hell no!!

The Attempt To Overthrow America

Authored by Guy Millière via The Gatestone Institute.

Already in 2017, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich had worried about the sporadic riots that were breaking out, for instance, when conservative speakers were invited to speak. The United States, he said , "is in the throes of a one-sided cultural civil war.... Surrender or fight – our country is at stake."

The situation, in fact, had become "worrying" even before the results of the 2016 presidential election were known.

As we now can read in the report by Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, the senior levels of government during the Obama Administration were colluding to prevent President Trump from winning the election, and then, after it, to frame him in an attempted coup d'état.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this country yields to "mobocracy", and the rule of law no longer exists, we can expect to see an economic and social breakdown in this country the likes of which will dwarf the effects of the Great Depression in the 30s.

Sweden's Conservatives Warn Surging Violent Crime Has Become A "Second Pandemic"

As the shooting of a man in Portland last night intensifies Americans' fears about mounting violent crime and the increasingly out of control "protest movement" spawned by the killing of George Floyd, the Financial Times has chosen to write a story about Sweden that could offer some insight into the mindset of the American "silent majority".

Now that Sweden has successfully beaten back its coronavirus outbreak, politicians in the country are pivoting to focus on a new issue that has emerged in the aftermath of the economic destruction wrought by the global outbreak. Even though Sweden never locked down its economy, it suffered an even larger economic contraction than its Nordic neighbors.

This, combined with years of heightened migration fueled by crises in the Middle East and Africa, has continued to fuel growth in crime across stodgy Sweden.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks as though Sweden's experiments in "cultural enrichment" are working just splendidly (if one loves mayhem, looting, burning businesses, and chaos, that is).

NYC Landlords Wage War Against Remote Working

New York City's biggest landlords have a major dilemma; that is, companies like Citigroup, JP Morgan, Google, Twitter, and Facebook all encouraged their employees to work remotely from home, which will result in a slower economic recovery.

Jeff Blau, chief executive officer of Related Cos., was on Bloomberg Television Thursday talking about the dire situation, and the campaign he is waging, along with other top landlords to convince companies that their employees should return to offices to avoid damaging the local economy.

"If you go to the business districts, Midtown, it's deserted," Blau said "If employers tell their employees that they don't need to come back, they're going decide to hang out at their parents' or in the Hamptons and phone it in. Ultimately, businesses are not going to be able to survive that."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Blau, if you have motivated workers who pride themselves on making things happen, both for themselves and the people for whom they work, where they work is of no issue, just that they, and the people for whom they work, will thrive; that is the only issue.

Of course, lessees of large commercial space don't want to see this happen, but it is both the wave of the present, and the future.

China's 'Debt-Trap' Diplomacy With Third-World Nations

Authored by Lawrence Franklin via The Gatestone Institute,

Chinese Communist Party Chairman Xi Jinping's signature foreign policy proposal has been the "Belt and Road Initiative" (BRI) commercial and strategic program. At first, the network was pitched as a restoration of the ancient overland trade route, the "Silk Road," that linked China to Europe. This "New Silk Road," like its predecessor, would traverse the vast steppes of Central Asia -- but the contemporary BRI is allegedly meant to serve also as an economic boon for all the countries along the route.

Xi quickly followed the overland BRI with a maritime version, presumably to connect Chinese ports on the South China Sea to seaports in the Indian Ocean, continuing on to the Middle East states and ultimately reaching European ports. Initially, these proposals had only involved countries along BRI routes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Like the US government doesn't already do this with developing nations which are left helpless to prevent them from straying from the US's economic influence?!?

"She Hasn't Done Her Job": Looting, Riots, & Mayoral Ineptitude Prompt Mass Exodus Of Chicago Residents

While mayor Lori Lightfoot continues to try and assure the public that she has everything under control, the exodus from Chicago as a result of the looting and riots is continuing. Citizens of Chicago are literally starting to pour out of the city, citing safety and the Mayor's ineptitude as their key reasons for leaving.

Hilariously, in liberal politicians' attempt to show the world they don't need Federal assistance and that they don't need to rely on President Trump's help, they are inadvertently likely creating more Trump voters, as residents who seek law and order may find no other choice than to vote Republican come November.

And even though residents understand the looting and riots in some cases, they are not waiting around for it to get better on its own, nor are they waiting around for it to make its way to their house, their families or their neighborhoods.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Can you blame them?!?

Mayor Lightfoot has lost the good people of Chicago their city; what other choices do they have?!?

The short answer is, not many.

An Unprecedented 1,640 CEOs Departed in 2019; Now Execs Are Dumping Stock at Highest Pace Since 2006

Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc. has been tracking CEO departures for the past 12 years. Its Vice President, Andrew Challenger, called the numbers for 2019 “staggering.” It was the highest number since their surveys began in 2002. A total of 1,640 CEOs headed for the exits last year. That was 156 more CEOs than those who left their post in 2008 – the year that Wall Street blazed a scorched earth trail through the U.S. economy.

The number of CEOs that did not leave on their own accord last year was 101 out of the 1,640. According to the study, 15 CEOs left over allegations of professional misconduct; 20 left amid a scandal, “typically under investigations for financial wrongdoing or other legal issues”; 24 saw their positions terminated; 39 left due to a merger or acquisition; 3 left due to bankruptcy.

Nearly two dozen Saudi troops enter US base in northeastern Syria: Report

Saudi Arabia has reportedly deployed nearly two dozen combat troops to a US-run military base in Syria’s oil-rich northeastern province of Hasakah as the Riyadh regime and some of its regional allies are vying with the United States to loot the natural resources of the war-ravaged country.

Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news network, citing an informed source, reported that 20 Saudi soldiers, led by an officer called Saud al-Joghaifi, arrived at the US base in the city of Shaddadi on Wednesday.

The source added that the Saudi troops were accompanied by a convoy of US-led forces from the coalition purportedly formed to fight the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group, which withdrew from Camp Taji, situated 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, earlier this week.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So it's not JUST the US stealing Syrian oil; it's the Saudis as well!!

The MTA Is Preparing For A "Doomsday Scenario" That Includes Higher Fares, 40% Cut In Service

The MTA says it is now preparing for a "doomsday scenario" that could include a 40% cut in service for both commuter trains and busses, resulting in longer wait times, lane closures, fare hikes and massive job cuts.

New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority says this will be the new reality for New Yorkers if the government doesn't come up with $12 billion in aid that it needs to cover a budget shortfall that has emerged as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The MTA has an astonishing $45.4 billion in debt.

On Wednesday, MTA officials said that "a potential 40% cut to subway and bus service, a 50% reduction in commuter-rail service, higher fare increases and layoffs" could all soon be reality, according to Bloomberg. The MTA is now urging well connected New Yorkers, including executives and real estate developers, to put pressure on federal lawmakers to act.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There needs to be a forensic analysis of the shortfall; a reasonable explanation of how it happened; a firing of the people who allowed this to happen; and a fresh start for MTA, free of the idiots who allowed this to happen.

Let them find work in the private sector.

The COVID-19 Scamdemic, Part 1: The Hard Road To A New World Order

Authored by Iain Davis via In This Together blog,

Among many similar globalist states, The UK State is a public-private partnership between government, financial institutions, multinational corporations, global think tanks, and well funded third sector organisations, such as so called non governmental organisations (NGO’s) and large international charities.

Through a labyrinthine structure of direct funding, grant making and philanthropy, the UK State is a cohesive globalist organisation that works with selected academics, scientific institutions and mainstream media (MSM) outlets to advance a tightly controlled, predetermined narrative.

This designed consensus serves the the interests and global ambitions of a tiny group of disproportionately wealthy people.

Over 65 Organizations Call on Home Depot and Lowe’s to End Sales of Cancer-linked Roundup

Sixty-six organizations representing over 7.5 million members sent letters to Home Depot (NYSE: HD) and Lowe’s (NYSE: LOW) today urging them to remove Roundup and other glyphosate-based herbicides from store shelves and online sales. The organizations, representing consumers, environmentalists, beekeepers and farmers, also urged the companies to expand sales of organic and other safer alternatives. Competitors Costco (NASDAQ: COST) and B&Q have already announced commitments to phase out glyphosate-based products.

If you know people that actually believe that the U.S. economy is moving in a positive direction, just show them this article.

In all the years that I have been writing about the economy, I have never seen anything that even comes close to what we are experiencing now. More than 100,000 businesses have permanently failed, and tens of millions of Americans have lost their jobs. If you still have a good job you should cling to it with all of your might, because there are so many families that have no idea how they are going to pay the bills next month, or the month after that, or that month after that. When it gets to the point where you can’t even pay the rent or the mortgage, financial worries can absolutely consume your life. If you have been there, you know exactly what I am talking about. And if you have children, that just makes things even worse. How do you explain to them that “home” is no longer “home”?

While US regime change in Syria appears to be a terminal failure, various propaganda ploys used to sell the war continue in the hopes that - at the very least - such ploys can be polished and improved upon when and where the US turns its attention next.

The accused - Anwar Raslan, a former colonel in the Syrian military, and co-defendant Eyad al-Gharib, who allegedly worked under Raslan, had been living in Germany as refugees and were arrested in February last year.

The article also notes that:

Germany is using a legal principle called universal jurisdiction to trial Raslan and al-Gharib.

This allows German prosecutors to work on war crimes cases, whether they have a close connection to Germany or not.

Universal jurisdiction could result in an alternative means for the international community to bring war criminals to account.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, I have some places where universal jurisdiction should be used; how about at US/run "black sites" and Gitmo, where people were tortured?!?

That has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?!?

As Dr. Fauci denounces Trump’s Coronavirus vaccine, the World Health Organization has a plan to provide the globe with an “approved” shot.

In June, OTN wrote:

“In an unprecedented move, mainstream media will likely cover adverse effects of President Trump’s Coronavirus vaccine and denounce “vaccine nationalism”.

After Trump cut ties with the World Health Organization, Bill Gates and the WHO expressed “disappointment” in the United States, saying that they will continue to work with Gates to develop a vaccine for Coronavirus.”

Now, the narrative is being rolled out.

Dr. Fauci is now denouncing President Trump’s vaccine plan, commenting that, “We would hope that nothing interferes with the full demonstration that a vaccine is safe and effective“.

Trump’s rushed coronavirus vaccine has been called “dangerous” by multiple MSM outlets while the World Health Organization is denouncing “vaccine nationalism”.

What does this mean?

Webmaster's Commentary:

It's never about health with Gates, et all: it's always about the money represented by such a vaccine.

2020 Nightmare: Armies Of Lawyers Ready To Fight A Long Legal Battle Over Election Results

Armies of lawyers have already been recruited, reasons to question the legitimacy of the 2020 election results are already being floated, and top politicians on both sides are already urging a fight to the bitter end.

Initially, it appeared that we might avoid this sort of a scenario. For several months Joe Biden had a large lead in all of the major national polls, and some people were even discussing the possibility of a “landslide”. But now the polls are tightening up, and this is especially true in the swing states which will ultimately decide the outcome of the election. If the race is quite tight once we get to election night, it is likely that neither side will be willing to concede until every conceivable legal challenge is completely exhausted.

That could mean an extended legal battle lasting for months, and that is something that none of us should want to see.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I remember Bush v. Gore, and the completely vicious betrayal of American values which Bush so brilliantly represented; in some countries, the man is now considered a "war criminal", and cannot visit them.

I heartily concur with that characterisation.

Capital One Cuts Credit Card Borrowing Limits As US Reduces Support For Unemployed Americans

One month after credit card giant Capital One Financial disappointed investors after reporting losses more than $1 billion for the second consecutive quarter (with 80% of revenue coming from net interest income, of which 60% comes from the card business, the top line was hit really hard), there was more bad news. According to Bloomberg, Capital One - which is perhaps most exposed to the financial state of the US middle class of all US financial companies - is cutting borrowing limits on credit cards, and reining in its exposure as the U.S. reduces support for millions of unemployed Americans.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Whatever credit card debt you may have now, please work to get that paid off as quickly as possible; credit is going, generally, to become infinitely more expensive, and in some cases, close to completely unavailable.

What you are about to read next comes from a series of private, multilateral discussions among intel analysts, and may helpfully design the contours of the Big Picture.

NATO's "Unified Front" At Breaking Point

Authored by Danny Sjursen via The Future of Freedom Foundation,

Last month, a Turkish warship came one step away from firing missiles at a French naval vessel off the coast of Libya. In response, Paris suspended its involvement in Operation Sea Guardian — a multinational maritime effort to provide security in the Mediterranean Sea and halt the arms trafficking fueling Libya’s ongoing civil war. Initially, only eight member states — notably excluding both the U.S. and U.K. — supported France’s official complaint. This was only the latest incident in the increasingly frequent — and exceedingly awkward — tensions between several of Washington’s core North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies.

Indeed, from South America to East Asia, NATO members stand divided over many critical foreign policy issues of the moment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

NATO, as an entity, no longer has any clear direction, and is seeing member nations going after other member NATO members, as Turkey is with Greece, concerning Mediterranean drilling rights, and appears to be one step away from implosion.

"I Don't Think There Should Be Any Debates" Says Pelosi, Calling Them An "Exercise In Skullduggery"

Nancy Pelosi has just joined the chorus of prominent Democrats trying desperately to avoid placing Joe Biden in front of the proverbial firing squad in a debate with President Trump.

"I don't think that there should be any debates," Pelosi said on Thursday, one day after President Trump demanded Biden take a drug test before the two square off.

"I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him - nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States," she added.

Pelosi said that Trump was "disgraceful" when he 'stalked' Hillary Clinton during the 2016 debate by walking near her, and that he will probably "act in a way that is beneath the dignity of the presidency."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nervous, are we, Nancy?!?

Soy Boom? China Could Buy Record Amount of US Soybeans

In a throwback to 2019 optimism on the US-China trade deal, the Trump administration has shifted from vaccine pump headlines to trade. Bloomberg cites several sources who say after top U.S. and Chinese trade officials reaffirmed phase one trade deal commitments earlier in the week, that China is planning to purchase a record amount of soybeans.

The sources estimate total purchases could be around 40 million tons this year, an amount that would be 25% more than the levels seen in 2017.

"China has been stepping up purchases of American agricultural goods since the end of April, with soybean sales for delivery next season currently running at their highest level for this time of year since 2013," Bloomberg notes.

China has been lagging behind purchase commitments laid out in phase one trade agreement. We outlined this in a piece titled ""Trade Deal" Farce Summarized In These Charts."

US Cargo Thefts Erupt As Violent Crime Spreads Across America

The latest trucking news from Overdrive is particularly disturbing, outlines how cargo theft across the US surged during the virus-induced downturn in the second quarter.

Overdrive, citing data from SensiGuard, a cargo theft recording firm aggregating data from transportation security councils, insurance companies and law enforcement organizations, said cargo theft surged 56% year-over-year in the quarter.

"One significant note is that April, which was at the height of the supply chain disruption caused by COVID-19, experienced more than double the volume of April 2019 (+109%). While both May (+31%) and June (+30%) also beat their 2019 totals, it was by a decreasing amount in each case," SensiGuard noted in its 2Q20 cargo theft report.

Von Greyerz: Major Central Banks "Have Totally Lost Control"

Yes, Ground Control in the form of the major central banks have totally lost control and the world economy is now floating around helplessly without direction. Since the end of 2006, the major CBs (Fed, ECB, BOJ & PBOC) have increased their balance sheets from $5 trillion to $25.5t today. The great majority of the extra $20t created since 2006 has gone to prop up the financial system.

And even with these $20t the world economy is more rudderless than it has ever been. Clueless CBs are doing what we had expected them to do which is doing the only thing they know – namely printing endless amounts of money that has zero value since it is created out of thin air. But the CBs money creation is just a small part of the problem. On the back of CB’s $25t balance sheets, global debt has exploded from $125t in 2006 to $280t today.

What Are You Going To Do As Our Money Dies?

In our recent article It’s Time To Position For The Endgame, Chris Martenson explained how the US Federal Reserve and its sister central banks around the world have been engaged in the largest and most egregious wealth transfer in all of history — one that has been drastically exacerbated by the covid-19 pandemic.

The official response, tremendous monetary stimulus by the central banks paired with massive fiscal stimulus from national legislatures, has been pitched as “saving the system”.

Yet, in reality, it has merely served to accelerate the transfer of capital from the public into the pockets of the already-rich.

Anyone with eyes can see how the central banks have abandoned all pretense of monetary fiduciary responsibility and have simply cranked their printing presses up to “maximum”:
