Trump Hammers On Brexit, “Independence Day” And Repudiation Of Rule By The Global Elite

One thing is clear, whether or not everyone will agree with what is said, Trump is at least speaking more directly than most politicians do

It turned out that Trump wasted no time in making sure that the people of America understood that what had been done in the UK can be done in the United States.

Globalists and Neocons Prove Incapable of Understanding Reality

If Trump wants to put America first, he needs to start firing the Neoconservatives and their lackeys from the White House and putting them on trial for making Americans look really bad.

Rather than listening and learning and modifying their actions, the ruling elites stick to “more of the same.” This process clearly emblematized by the endless procession of Bushes and Clintons replacing each other in the positions of power.

ISIS barbarity still haunts Palmyra

Daesh (ISIS) is gone from Palmyra, hopefully for good. But the area is still haunted. One imagines a long period of healing, cathartic reconstruction, restoration and healing will be required by its returning residents before this ancient town will feel cleansed of Daesh butchery, desecrations and filth.

Canada’s Foreign Policy: “Copy and Paste” of Washington’s War Crimes Agenda

Canada’s warmongering Defence Minister, Harjit Sajjan, recently announced an increased Canadian presence in NATO, predicated on the narrative that Russia “annexed the Crimean Peninsula in Ukraine and backed pro-Russian separatist forces in that country’s eastern region.”

Presumably his “Assad must go” narrative about Syria is wearing thin. After all, NATO member Turkey is a training ground for ISIS, a transit point for terrorists entering Syria, and, like the Canadian government, all of NATO, the Gulf monarchies, Wahhabi Saudi Arabia, and apartheid Israel, a staunch supporter of the terrorists; plus, it has also been long established that there are no “moderates.”

Presumably, too, Sajjan needs to rebrand and recycle the “threat” narrative, and the “NATO are the good guys” meme, so he is now reintroducing Russia as a threat.

Accusation claims Syrian and Russian troops are looting Palmyra! INDICTMENT NOT PROVED

“Syrian Troops Looting Ancient City Of Palmyra, Says Archaeologist.”

So shouted the highly respected UK Guardian’s headline of June 1, 2016 on the eve of the opening day of this month’s two-day Berlin Convergence attended by more than 170 scientists, archaeologists, architects and planners. The gathering of experts was convened to discuss how best to preserve Syria's, and our heritage, despite the five-year-old war that has killed more than 280,000 people and has also resulted in serious damage to our globally shared Cultural Heritage.

Jihadists that US kept off terror list attack UN humanitarian convoy in Syria - MoD

Militants from an Al-Qaeda-linked group, Jaysh al-Islam, have shelled a UN humanitarian convoy near Damascus, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Despite the group’s repeated ceasefire violations, the UN rejected Russia’s bid to add it to the terror list.

In mid-May, Washington blocked a Russian proposal at the UN to delegitimize Ahrar ash-Sham and another group called Jaysh al-Islam, over their regular violations of the ceasefire, letting strikes hit both groups along with ISIS and Al-Qaeda. Britain, France and Ukraine sided with the US.

Washington said it would continue to back the group because they were “vetted” by the Saudis and play a role in the Syrian political process.

Corbyn: Clowns to the left of him, jokers to the right

Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, here I am...

A political beacon is about to be extinguished unless he breaks with the doomed Labour Party and sets up on his own

Well I don’t know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain’t right,
I’m so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I’m wondering how I’ll get down the stairs,
Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.
Yes I’m stuck in the middle with you,
And I’m wondering what it is I should do,
It’s so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I’m all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right…

Victory Is Possible – Israel Shamir

Brexit is a game-changing event. Now Euro-sceptics all over Europe has got fresh wind in their sails.

Few people expected the positive outcome of Brexit referendum. Among other doubters, I expected the UK government will borrow a trick from the Clinton collection, and proclaim the "Bremain" hath it.

The political establishment of both leading parties, the Tories and Labour, wished to remain in the cosy lap of the EC. This was the will of the Bank of England, and of the City of London; of the powerful media lords, of the creative minority of yuppies, of cosmopolitan intellectuals.

US Ambassador to Hungary: Overthrow Assad, Let in Refugees, and Fight Russia...or Else!

If anyone wants a short course on what's wrong with US diplomacy look no further than US Ambassador to Hungary Coleen Bell's speech Friday to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Parliament. In typical diplo-speak there was plenty of flowery language about shared values, fish swimming together in the same water (?), sappy poetics like "together, out of that winter, we would force the spring," and talk of together being "part of the world’s greatest military and political alliance."

But make no mistake: Inside Ambassador Bell's velvet glove is an iron fist, poised to strike should Washington's annoyingly independent-minded Fidesz-led government step out of line on the big issues. And by "big" issues it should be understood that the US means the issues it considers in the interests of its own foreign policy, not those in Hungary's interest.

Message to Hungary: do as we say or you will be sorry.

DNC Platform Leaves Door Open for No-Fly Zone in Syria, Refuses to Call for End to Israeli Occupation

THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE’S Platform Drafting Committee quashed efforts by the Bernie Sanders campaign last week to insert language in the platform opposing a U.S.-led no-fly zone in Syria and calling for an end to Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories.

The deliberations, which took place in St. Louis last week as part of a multi-step process to write the party’s nonbinding platform, represent a tilt to a more hawkish direction for Democrats under presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton. The final platform will not be written until the convention in Philadelphia next month – a process that could possibly open it to votes from a much wider pool of delegates on the floor.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is painfully apparent that the people writing the platform for the Democratic Party love war; love the military industrial complex, in which so many are invested, and which, in turn, invests in their campaigns; and the continued oppression of the Palestinian people, with no relief in sight.

The reason they love war is that it is the only instrument available, in their thinking, to prevent the loss of hegemony of the US dollar over other publicly traded currencies, and keep American weapons manufacturers profitable.

These people are completely, and enthusiastically, willing to send your sons and daughters to die to protect the US currency, and the profits of the US war machine, at all costs; after all, it certainly won't be their kids, getting killed or maimed for life toward those ends.

Pentagon Claims ‘Showdown’ With Russian Jets in Syrian Skies

Last week’s Russian bombings against a US-backed Syrian rebel factions saw what US officials are describing as a “dramatic showdown” between US F/A-18 fighters and Russian Su-34s, as the US planes scrambled to try to chase the Russians away from a rebel base.

No fighting actually took place between the two sides. The Russian planes moved out of the area when the US planes arrived, but returned after the US planes left to refuel, and bombing the rebel garrison that the US was trying to protect.

US officials are presenting the strike as “deliberately provocative,” but Russia has insisted in the US never gave them the coordinates of the moderate rebels they wanted them to stay away from. Negotiations since the incident have netting some pledges of increased cooperation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

More demonisation of Russia I see. And notice: none of this is sourced to any specific US government officials.

And if, as the Russians claim, "the US never gave them the coordinates of the moderate rebels they wanted them to stay away from.", how was the Russian military supposed to know not to target these jihadists?!?

Unless they were Ms. Cleo's "psychic friends", there was absolutely no way they could have known!!

And lastly, the Russian military is in Syria at the Syrian government's request; the US military is not.

TURKEY'S "APOLOGY" TO RUSSIA TO BE TESTED ON SYRIA'S BORDER

Turkey's own government admits that Islamic State (IS) fighters, weapons and equipment are coming from Turkey, bound for Raqqa, which should make pundits, the press, politicians and the general public alike wonder why then Turkey along with its partners in the Persian Gulf, Europe and North America are fighting the Islamic State in Syria, rather than simply interdicting them within what is essentially NATO territory before they even reach Syria to begin with.

One must also wonder how it is possible for the Islamic State to move enough men and materiel through NATO territory undetected, on a scale so large it can sustain full-scale war in Syria and Iraq and even beyond for years now.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The proof here will be in the demonstration, that Erdogan is actually willing to take the steps necessary to keep the jihadists from entering Syria via Turkish territory; and only time will tell if that actually will get accomplished.

Declassifying The Syrian Jihad: CIA Vs. The Pentagon

On a Monday morning in September of 2014 White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest stepped out in front of cameras to respond to questions of “intelligence failure” and explained that both the administration and intelligence community were caught completely “surprised” over the shocking and “rapid advance” of ISIS into Iraq over the course of that summer. However, two years prior in August 2012, an intelligence official with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) stationed in Iraq had written an incredibly prescient classified report predicting that out of the Syrian war could emerge “a declared or undeclared Salafist principality in Eastern Syria (Hasaka and Der Zor), and this is exactly what the supporting powers to the opposition want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime…”

SAUDIS LOBBY WASHINGTON INSIDERS TO SUPPORT U.S. LED REGIME CHANGE IN SYRIA

That 51 US diplomats reproached President Obama’s Syria policy by calling for greater American military force deployed against the Damascus government was itself a remarkable sign of official dissent within Washington. But the president’s authority was further brazenly undermined when a few days later the Saudi rulers endorsed the dissenting US diplomats – while being received at the White House.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would strongly suggest to Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the US, Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki Al Saud, that there is an elephant in the room, snoozing on the Bosendorfer, which no one in power in the US or Saudi Arabia wants to address, in terms of this kind of action by the US military, and that is the presence of the Russian military, at the invitation of the Syrian government.

A attempted decap strike by the US military may well devolve into a shooting war with Russia; is that what the Saudi Arabian government and House of Saud would like to see happen?!?

Such a war could prove not only a military disaster for the US, because our military doesn't have the weaponry, the troop strength, the manufacturing, or the money to ensure a successful outcome; but also, it could be a complete train wreck for the US economy as a whole.

As reported at money.cnn.com in May of this year:

Saudi Arabia stockpiled $116.8 billion of U.S. Treasuries as of March, the Treasury Department announced on Monday, ending four decades of keeping the figure secret. That makes Saudi Arabia the 13th largest foreign holder of U.S. debt, though well behind the $1 trillion-plus owned by China and Japan each. The Saudi figure was first reported by Bloomberg News based on a Freedom of Information Act request. Unlike with most other major owners of U.S. debt, the Treasury Department kept Saudi Arabia's precise holdings secret since the 1970s. Saudi's holdings were lumped together with that of other oil exporting nations, including Venezuela and Iraq. But that policy ended on Monday as the Treasury Department disclosed precise holdings by specific countries that were previously grouped together. A Treasury official told CNNMoney the move was made following a review aimed at trying to provide more

Does the Saudi government want to see its investment in US Treasuries be placed in a situation from which that investment cannot recover?!? I would, frankly, have a hard time believing that it would.

So, if this is not the case, I would strongly caution the Saudi government against lobbying for a direct decap strike against Al-Assad; the ultimate outcome of such a strike could backfire, big-time, on Saudi Arabia's already precarious financial position, with the price of oil as low as it is right now.

Federal Jury In Santa Ana, Calif. Deliberate One Hour To Convict Two Young Americans Of Supporting ISIL

Nader Elhuzayel and Muhanad Badawi, both of whom are 25-year-old Anaheim residents, were convicted today in United States District Court following a two-week trial. "These convictions are a message to those who aim to travel to take up arms with ISIL and to those who support them – the FBI and our partners are determined to thwart your efforts," said Deirdre Fike, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office. "The JTTF's proactive identification of these subjects and disruption of a terrorist conspiracy is a coup in the fight against the scourge of ISIL. At trial, the jury heard evidence that Mr. Badawi also encouraged other associates to support ISIL and participate in violent jihad. US Bombing Syrian Troops Would Be Illegal

Under the War Powers Resolution (WPR), the President can introduce U.S. troops into hostilities, or into situations “where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances,” only (1) after a Congressional declaration of war, (2) with “specific statutory authorization,” or (3) in “a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces”. None of three conditions that would allow the president to use military force in Syria is present at this time. First, Congress has not declared war. Second, neither the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF), which George W. Bush used to invade Afghanistan, nor the 2002 AUMF, which Bush used to invade Iraq would provide a legal basis for an attack on Syria at the present time. Third, there has been no attack on the United States or U.S. armed forces. Thus, an armed attack on Syria would violate the WPR.

Is the Syrian War About to Experience a Major Escalation?

We’re going to war — either hybrid in nature to break the Russian state back to its 1990s subordination, or a hot war (which will destroy our country). Our citizens should know this, but they don’t because our media is dumbed down in its “Pravda”-like support for our “respectable,” highly aggressive government. We are being led, as C. Wright Mills said in the 1950s, by a government full of “crackpot realists: in the name of realism they’ve constructed a paranoid reality all their own.” Our media has credited Hillary Clinton with wonderful foreign policy experience, unlike Trump, without really noting the results of her power-mongering. She’s comparable to Bill Clinton’s choice of Cold War crackpot Madeleine Albright as one of the worst Secretary of States we’ve had since … Condi Rice? Albright boasted, “If we have to use force it is because we are America; we are the indispensable nation. We stand tall and we see further than other countries into the future.”

The airstrikes on medical facilities across the Arab country ‘’have resulted in scores of civilian deaths, including much-needed medical workers’’ Pinheiro told Geneva-based UN Human Rights Council, adding “More than 700 doctors and medical personnel have been killed in attacks on hospitals since the beginning of the conflict”. “As civilian casualties mount, the number of medical facilities and staff decreases, limiting even further access to medical care,” he said. The UN Commission of Inquiry on Syria also condemned horrific violations by jihadists and voiced concern that al-Qaeda-affiliated militants may have recruited hundreds of children into their ranks. Pinheiro also denounced frequent attacks on other infrastructure essential to civilian life, such as markets, schools and bakeries. “With each attack, terrorised survivors are left more vulnerable,” he said, adding that “schools, hospitals, mosques, water stations … are all being turned into rubble”.

The ‘Experts’ Are Wrong In Advocating Escalation In Syria

More than 50 U.S. mid-level diplomats have sent a memo through the State Department’s “dissent channel” to a likely sympathetic Secretary of State John
Kerry, advocating an American bombing campaign to bring Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the negotiating table in the bloody Syrian civil war. The memo concluded, “It is time that the United States, guided by our strategic interests and moral convictions, lead a global effort to put an end to this conflict once
and for all.”

U.S. military says will not disclose details on injured service members

The U.S. military will not provide details on specific cases of American service members injured in Iraq and Syria because it could give information to Islamic State militants, a Pentagon spokesman said on Tuesday

The spokesman, Peter Cook, was responding to a question at a Pentagon press briefing seeking confirmation that four Americans had been wounded in Syria earlier this month.

Cook said there had been no a change in policy and aggregate numbers would still be provided.

"Our policy is not to identify wounded service members for a variety of reasons, including operational security, including privacy reasons," Cook said.

"Also, we do not want to provide additional information to the enemy that might enhance their own assessment on the battlefield situation," he said.

However, the Pentagon has released such information in the past and responded to queries, and it was unclear how Cook's comments were consistent with previous disclosures.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Pentagon does not want to release this information, because it does not want the American people knowing how many of our military have actually been deployed in these countries.

WHO ARE SYRIA’S WHITE HELMETS?

A hideous murder of a rising star in UK politics, Jo Cox MP, has just sent shock waves across the world. Within hours of her death, a special fund was established in her name to raise money for 3 causes. One of those causes is the Syrian White Helmets.

Are we seeing a cynical and obscene exploitation of Jo Cox’s murder to revive the flagging credibility of a US State Department & UK Foreign Office asset on the ground in Syria, created and sustained as first responders for the US and NATO Al Nusra/Al Qaeda forces?

An Eyewitness Tells How The U.S. Ambassador Instigated "Revolution" In Syria

S. Rifai, also known as @THE_47th, is a Syrian "activist" from Homs. He was involved since early 2011 when the U.S. Ambassador Robert Ford (@fordrs58) fomented the "revolution" in Syria. He has since tweeted about the "revolution" and has shown lots of insider knowledge. Below S. Rifai corrects the U.S. propaganda record.

The former ambassador Ford allegedly had a hand in last weeks "dissident" letter by some State Department employees. The letter urges launching an open U.S. war against Syria and its government. Ford was recently interviewed about the letter for an exculpatory piece in the New Yorker.

In the New Yorker interview Ford asserted:

What Is Missing From The Memo 51 US Diplomats Signed Urging Strikes Against Assad In Syria

The Assad family has ruled Syria since the 1960s with an iron hand, employing secret police and other standard dictator tricks to suppress dissent. Things got so cozy between Syria and the US that in the early days of the war on terror the CIA was sending “suspects” to Syria for some outsourced torture, as nobody can run a secret prison better than Arabs.

Syria - Russian Surprise Attack Blows Up Kerry's Delaying Tactic

The U.S. is unwilling to stop the war on Syria and to settle the case at the negotiation table. It wants a 100% of its demands fulfilled, the dissolution of the Syrian government and state and the inauguration of a U.S. proxy administration in Syria.

After the ceasefire in Syria started in late February Obama broke his pledge to separate the U.S. supported "moderate rebels" from al-Qaeda. In April U.S. supported rebels, the Taliban like Ahrar al Sham and al-Qaeda joined to attack the Syrian government in south Aleppo. The U.S. proxies broke the ceasefire.

Two UN resolutions demand that al-Qaeda in Syria be fought no matter what. But the U.S. has at least twice asked Russia not to bomb al-Qaeda. It insists, falsely, that it can not separate its "moderates" from al-Qaeda and that al-Qaeda can not be attacked because that would also hit its "moderate" friends.

Trump as the ‘Relative Peace Candidate’

The danger to the rest of us is not Trump, but Hillary Clinton. She is no maverick. She embodies the resilience and violence of a system whose vaunted ‘exceptionalism’ is totalitarian with an occasional liberal face.”

Hillary Clinton has shown no real remorse over her support for neocon “regime changes,” aggressive wars and belligerence toward Russia, leaving the oft-obnoxious Donald Trump as the relative peace candidate, says John V. Walsh.

Let us hear from these heretics, among them William Greider, Glen Ford, John Pilger, Jean Bricmont, Stephen F. Cohen and William Blum. Their words are not to be construed as “endorsements,” but rather an acknowledgement of Trump’s anti-interventionist views, the impact those views are having and the alternative he poses to Hillary Clinton in the current electoral contest.

Russia, U.S. “Losing Patience” With One Another Over Syria

By Brandon Turbeville

As the recent standoff between Russian and American jet fighters over Syria still simmers in the headlines, both sides are claiming a loss of patience with the other regarding the support and opposition for Western-backed terrorist forces and the government of Bashar al-Assad.

Not even a week before the standoff, the United States via war criminal and Skull and Bones member John Kerry warned the Russians, Iranians, and the Syrians that U.S. patience is “not infinite.”...

The Syrian army troops repelled ISIL's continued attacks to open a new supply route from Southeastern Aleppo and Northeastern Hama to save its under-attack forces in Western Raqqa. The ISIL attacks on the government forces' positions along the road connecting Ithriya in Hama to Khanasser in Aleppo were repelled by the Syrian soldiers. Russian and American Jets Dangerously Close To Combat As Destabilization Of Syria Continues

By Brandon Turbeville

Every day the U.S. and NATO insist on continuing the destabilization of Syria is a day closer to the potential for a cataclysmic confrontation between the Western powers and Russia. While Russia has shown considerable restraint and NATO has attempted to push Russia as far as possible without going over the line, the world is rapidly approaching a situation where one misstep could result in not only regional but worldwide conflict.

Such a potentially disastrous occurrence almost took place yesterday when Russian and American jets came dangerously close to combat over the skies of Syria during the course of a Russian bombing campaign against terrorists in al-Tanf near the Jordanian border...

In the wake of the Orlando massacre, the United States and Saudi Arabia are vowing to turn up the heat against terrorists and religious extremism in the Middle East. But these allies have a history of supporting the same tenets of religious extremism that lead to terrorism and repression of human rights. On June 13, U.S Secretary of State John Kerry hosted Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Kerry’s home in Washington, where the pair shared dinner. The meeting came a day after Omar Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 53 more at a LGBT nightclub in Orlando, apparently pledging allegiance to Daesh (an Arabic acronym for the terrorist group known in the West as ISIS or ISIL) during the attack.

U.S. and Russian Jets Clash Over Syria

U.S. and Russian fighter jets bloodlessly tangled in the air over Syria on June 16 as the American pilots tried and failed to stop the Russians from bombing U.S.-backed rebels in southern Syria near the border with Jordan.

The aerial close encounter underscores just how chaotic Syria’s skies have become as Russia and the U.S.-led coalition work at cross-purposes, each dropping bombs in support of separate factions in the five-year-old civil war.

The near-clash also highlights the escalating risk of American and Russian forces actually coming to blows over Syria, potentially sparking a much wider conflict between the world’s leading nuclear powers.

The U.S. is unwilling to stop the war on Syria and to settle the case at the negotiation table. It wants a 100% of its demands fulfilled, the dissolution of the Syrian government and state and the inauguration of a U.S. proxy administration in Syria.

After nearly four month Kerry still insists that the U.S. needs even more time for the requested separation of its proxy forces from al-Qaeda. Foreign Minister Lavrov recently expressed the Russian consternation:

The Americans are now saying that they are unable to remove the 'good' opposition members from the positions held by al-Nusra Front, and that they will need another two-three months. I am under the impression that there is a game here and they may want to keep al-Nusra Front in some form and later use it to overthrow the [Assad] regime," Lavrov said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The Untold Story Behind The "Mutiny At The State Department" Where Dozens Demand War With Syria

51 U.S. Diplomats Urge Strikes Against Assad in Syria

More than 50 State Department diplomats have signed an internal memo sharply critical of the Obama administration’s policy in Syria, urging the United States to carry out military strikes against the government of President Bashar al-Assad to stop its persistent violations of a cease-fire in the country’s five-year-old civil war.

The memo, a draft of which was provided to The New York Times by a State Department official, says American policy has been “overwhelmed” by the unrelenting violence in Syria. It calls for “a judicious use of stand-off and air weapons, which would undergird and drive a more focused and hard-nosed U.S.-led diplomatic process.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

First off, there is no civil war. This is another in a long line of covert interventions by the US, one that has failed for five years. These "diplomats" are courting war with Russia over Syria, and we need to remember that when the US escalated the Syrian conflict by backing ISIS and AL Qaeda, the State Department was certain Russia would not dare to interfere!

U.S. Diplomats Rebuke Obama On Syria And Call For Strikes On Assad

More than 50 State Department diplomats have signed an internal memo sharply critical of U.S. policy in Syria, calling for military strikes against President Bashar al-Assad’s government to stop its persistent violations of a civil war ceasefire.

The “dissent channel cable” was signed by 51 mid- to high-level State Department officers involved with advising on Syria policy.

The cable calls for “targeted military strikes” against the Syrian government in light of the near-collapse of the ceasefire brokered earlier this year, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing copies of the cable it had seen.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Friday that the memo was an “important statement” that he would discuss when he returned to Washington.

“It’s an important statement and I respect the process, very, very much. I will...have a chance to meet with people when I get back,” Kerry told Reuters during a visit in Copenhagen.

He said he had not seen the memo.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, let me see if I can get my head around this.

These 51 diplomats are advocating for decap strikes against Al-Assad, and his army, to "punish" them for breaking the fragile truce.

But who, really, has been breaking the truce?!? I think, were the numbers accurate, we would discover in short order, that it has not been the Syrian military which has been breaking the truce, but US funded, supported, and armed jihadists, aided and abetted by the Turkish government, as has been incontrovertibly proven, time and time again.

I would like to politely point out that the Russian military has been invited by the Syrian government to get rid of all the bad guys, no matter whether they are US sponsored jihadists or not. The US military has not been invited into Syria, yet the US military is in Syria, featuring those "boots on the ground", which Obama promised would never happen, and with absolute hubristic impunity.

We are clearly risking war with Russia in Syria, by potentially attacking Syria more aggressively.

And it is a war the US government may well not be in a position to win, because the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the money; the manufacturing; the troop strength to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia.

And I have to wonder; how many of these 51 diplomats have sons or daughters serving in the US military right now?!? I am betting, only a very, very small number. And how many have significant stock holdings in the companies which make weapons of war?!? I am betting, a significant number.

And for people like these, it is most usually "other people's kids" who get killed or maimed for life in a military campaign, ultimately for private corporate profit.

Our military personnel matter to me a great deal, and I do not want to see them "thrown" at any perceived problem, which hard-fought, ethical negotiations could ultimately resolve in the geopolitical arena without bloodshed.

It appears that the US government has rather forgotten how to do this, and believes that it can simply "bully" other countries on this planet into submission with its aggressive military actions.

Ultimately, it is the people of Syria who should be allowed to make their own choices as to who governs them; this is not for any outside country to arbitrarily decide through "regime change".

Cheney, Rothschild, and Fox News’ Murdoch Begin Drilling for Oil in Syria — a Violation of Int’l Law

US military admits bombing Pentagon-trained militants in Syria

The US military has acknowledged bombing a Syrian militant unit it had trained and armed purportedly to fight Daesh terrorists in the country, a report says.

The incident was the most serious setback for a controversial Pentagon program that is angling to find new recruits for training after last efforts ended in disaster, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Well that sort of thing happens when the government lies about who is a friend and who is an enemy.

Hillary Comes Out as the War Party Candidate

Choosing to speak in San Diego, home base of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, on a platform draped with 19 American flags and preceded by half an hour of military marching music, Hillary Clinton was certain of finding a friendly audience for her celebration of American “strength”, “values” and “exceptionalism”. Cheered on by a military audience, Hillary was already assuming the role to which she most ardently aspires: that of Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

As usual, she goes for the military solution, ridiculing the notion of diplomacy.

What Four Syrian Refugee Children have Achieved for Humanity in Lebanon

Another consequence of the attention given to the case of the 4 Syrian refugee children being “bought” at Ramlet el Baida beach was to provoke a long delayed police action shutting down a Syrian refugee girls (and women) sex slave operation in Maameltein, the red-light district of Jounieh about twenty miles north of Beirut on Mediterranean coast

Syrian Forces Sever Main Daesh Route Into Turkey

In the fight against Daesh, also known as IS/Islamic State, Syrian forces have cut off a major road that the terrorists group used to access Turkey.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That means the Turkish officers leading the terrorist groups are cut off from escape. The next step is to capture them and show the world that Turkey has been assisting the US in their not-very-covert war against Assad.

Russia Defense Report: Russian Forces in Armenia

The Russian military involvement in assistance of the government of Syria had led to a sharp deterioration of relations between Russia and Turkey, which until recently had been seen as if not an ally then at least a solid partner. While the reasons for Turkish president Erdogan’s betrayal of trust with Russia are still not fully known, this unexpected turn of events had instantly elevated the importance of the Russian military contingent in Armenia, a country which is not only tied to Russia by a range of collective security treaties but also shares a long border with Turkey, which is after all a member of NATO, as well as with Azerbaijan and Georgia, both of which have been building their ties to NATO in recent years. Which means that Armenia is the Transcaucasus equivalent of Belarus–a buffer state between the suddenly hostile NATO and Russia.

French Forces Begin Construction of Military Base in Syria's Aleppo

According to a Kurdish source, French forces stationed in northern Syria have begun constructing a military base near the city of Kobani in Aleppo province.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It should be pointed out that Syria has not asked France, nor given permission, for a military base in Aleppo.

So, how would you feel if Mexico just decided to build a military base in Texas without permission from the US?

Turkey commanding Daesh near Syria’s Aleppo: Russia

Russia says Turkey’s military advisers are commanding Daesh terrorists operating around Syria’s northwestern city of Aleppo, which has been the scene of fierce fighting over the past few weeks.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters on Friday that up to 2,000 militants are taking part in the Aleppo battle based on mass media reports.

“Journalists say Turkey’s military advisers are commanding them,” she said.
