Lessons From Brussels - America Should Get Out Of The Middle East

The vicious attack on the Brussels airport and metro underscores the futility of focusing on the Syrian “Caliphate” as the epicenter of terrorism: as I’ve been saying in this space since 2001, the snake has no head. Both al-Qaeda and now ISIS are protean entities with a vast geographical spread, and what the Brussels attack – and, before it, the Paris attack – show is that they have successfully colonized Europe.

Putin & Assad Have Liberated Syria From The U.S.-&-Jihadist Alliance

It has been an alliance between the leaderships of U.S., Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and UAE; but, regardless of whether it’s called “the U.S. alliance” or “the Saudi alliance,” or even (possibly) “the Turkish alliance” (and it could be called by any of those three names), it’s the jihadist alliance, and it now seems to be near its final defeat, by, quite clearly, the Russian alliance: Russian air power has enabled the Syrian army (called the SAA or “Syrian Arab Army”) of Bashar al-Assad, plus Lebanon’s Shiite warriors (called “Hezbollah”), plus organization by Iran’s generals, to exterminate thousands of ISIS jihadists. The pro-Syrian alliance, under Russian air-power, are now making final preparations to finish the job, in the Syrian headquarters of ISIS — the city of Raqqa, where ISIS’s “Caliph” is, who could soon be meeting his end.

The Liberation Of Palmyra: US Narratives And NATO Terrorists Defeated In The Syrian Desert

Op-Ed by Afraa Dagher

About ten months ago, the World Heritage Site, the city of Palmyra, fell under control of the so-called “ISIS” or “ISIL,” a network of terrorists that would not even be in existence were it not for the support of the United States and the “U.S.-led coalition.”

During the time that the U.S. was supposedly engaged in its fight against ISIS, hundreds of ISIS convoys crossed great distances in the Syrian and Iraqi deserts, from Ramadi in Iraq to Palmyra City in Syria, all under the eyes and the advanced radar systems of the U.S.-led coalition. Of course, this coalition didn’t even lift a finger despite the fact that they saw all of this happening...

Clamoring for War: Belgium Airstrikes Cannot Remove ISIL

Finding a "renewed purpose and a unifying threat,” Belgium has confirmed plans to carry out airstrikes on ISIL targets in Syria as part of the US-led coalition after the Brussels deadly attacks earlier this week, which claimed the lives of at least 31 people and injured over 300.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Syria has recaptured Palmyra. All that is left is Raqqa and that is about to fall. The Brussels false-flag is being used to justify an invasion of Syria to remove Assad, part of a nearly 5 year attempt by the US to take control of the nation and its resources. But I rather doubt the Russian Air Force will just sit on the ground and let it happen.

Muslims Are the VICTIMS of “Between 82 and 97% of Terrorism-Related Fatalities”: US Government

The Little-Known Secret to Destroying ISIS Propaganda
ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorist attacks on Westerners is evil.

But most victims of ISIS, Al Qaeda and other Islamic terrorism are themselves Muslim.

The U.S. National Counterterrorism Center – the United States government organization responsible for national and international counterterrorism efforts – reported in 2011 (page 14):

In cases where the religious affiliation of terrorism casualties could be determined, Muslims suffered between 82 and 97% of terrorism-related fatalities over the past five years.

Putin Happy That US Diplomatic Visit Gives Chance to 'Find Common Ground

The Russian president has welcomed John Kerry saying that Moscow always welcomes the US officials’ visits.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow always welcomes the US officials’ visits conducted in a constructive atmosphere and facilitating progress on complicated issues, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

"We always welcome your visits since they are always conducted in a very business-like atmosphere and give a chance to advance in solving serious issues," Putin stated after holding a meeting with US State Secretary John Kerry.

"We are really glad to see you, because all joking aside, as a rule, we manage to find some common ground and, leaning on this, move forward to address both bilateral and international issues," the Russian president stressed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Putin is being gracious in victory; but whatever Kerry thought he was going to get out of this meeting, he did not get.

KERRY ARRIVES IN MOSCOW, PLANS TO PRESS RUSSIA ON ‘ASSAD MUST GO’

John Kerry arrived in Moscow for talks tomorrow on Syria and Ukraine during which he plans to again pressure that “Assad must go” after Russia’s partial withdrawal. Ukraine has reneged on the Minsk agreement and is pushing for changes in their obligations as a decision EU renewal of sanctions approaches. An ISIS attack in Brussels killed at least 31. Two suicide bombers were identified and one suspect is at large. ISIS regained some territory from al Nusra in southern Syria and Syrian forces are within striking distance of Palmyra in central Syria. Escalation in Libya is very likely. Syria is still central to the war on ISIS and so called war on terror.

SYRIA

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, to be a butterfly on that wall, when Kerry speaks to Putin again about "regime change" in Syria as being the necessary component to a true political resolution of this war.

I would almost be willing that what you will get from Putin is a one-word answer, and that will be "Nyet!" (That's "no!" in Russian.

But one thing you need to keep your eye on, today, and through the weekend, is the coverage, both corporately televised, and on line, of the horrible bombings in Brussels, and how this is being ..."spun"

As reported yesterday in Haaretz.com, and Israeli on-line outlet in English:

The security services knew, with a high degree of certainty, that attacks were planned in the very near future for the airport and, apparently, for the subway as well. Despite the advance warning, the intelligence and security preparedness in Brussels, where most of the European Union agencies are located, was limited in its scope and insufficient for the severity and immediacy of the alert. As far as is known, the attacks were planned by the headquarters of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Raqqa, Syria, which it has pronounced as the capital of its Islamic caliphate. read more: http://www.haaretz.com/world-news/1.710572

And the question which comes to MY mind is, how did the writers at Haaretz know this, barely 24 hours after the blast, and how did they "come to the determination" that the bombing was planned in Raqqa?!?

And if they were not tipped off by either US intelligence (which has funded and trained ISIS), or Mossad, how did they know this?!?

And what is the agenda here, so close to the moment when Kerry would be in talks with Putin and Lavrov in Moscow?!?

The most obvious would be that walking into his meetings with Putin and Lavrov, Kerry would have his "bloody shirt" of the Brussels bombings, allegedly planned in Raqqa, to wave at them, which meant that the US "needed to do something about this", which Kerry would love to leverage into a full on invasion Syria, and regime change in Damascus.

IF this theory is, in fact correct, and Putin and Lavrov do not yield to Kerry's pressure on this, look for a massive escalation of Russia-bashing from the corporate whorespondents and presstitutes very soon, because Russia has to be made to look like the "bad guy" in this, even though they have not done anything wrong, in their desire to have the Syrian people decide their own fate.

Secondarily, with much of Europe in a European Union-skeptic mode, this bombing was most likely engineered to prevent any countries currently contemplating breaking free from their relationship with the European Union, to not do so. We a have potential Brexit (with the Brits) a Grexit (with the Germans) and a contemplated Frexit (from the French), so the authorities at the EU would be willing to do anythingto prevent this from happening.

I know that this is a very cold analysis of the situation; but because I hate like hell to see people killed or hurt to achieve a geopolitical agenda, I want to be very clear about what I believe to be going on here.

And what you have to ask yourself is this; if Belgian authorities, in fact, had fore-warning that this was going to happen, why did they do absolutely nothing to prevent these bombings?!?

In a very Occam's razor kind of way, these bombings were allowed to happen to fulfill several agendas, one of the most important being to place the blame on Syrian ISIS rebels from Raqqa, which may well ultimately be the US government's "raison d'etre" for a full-on invasion of Syria.

Mar 24 07:46

ISIS attacked Brussels? The US created ISIS? Therefore?

As far as the Brussels attacks are concerned, if we assume that ISIS was responsible, the whole scenario is turned upside down after analyzing the basis of ISIS.

The Obama administration (jointly with the Bush administration) should be announcing: “Well, we keep ISIS alive. Unfortunately, things happen. One of those things is Brussels.”

And then you could go on to query the sincerity of the word “unfortunately.”

US Rejects Emergency Meeting with Russia on Syria Ceasefire Violations

Long-term struggle continues. Syrian UN envoy/chief peace talks negotiator Bashar al-Jaafari resisted pressure by Steffan de Mistura, proximity talks go-between, serving Western, not Syrian interests.

Al-Jaafari blasted Security Council members and other rogue states supporting terrorism.

It’s well-known what’s “happening on the Syrian-Turkish border and in Golan, and the way Israel is tending to the injured Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and treating them in its hospitals, with Qatar paying the bill.”

Endless war continues. Washington rejected Russia’s call for an emergency meeting on continued ceasefire violations. Putin’s patience has limits.

According to Russian General Staff’s main operations head Sergey Rudskoy, Moscow will use military force against ceasefire violators beginning March 22 - once “proof of systematic violations of obligations” is verified.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is really a lousy state of affairs for Syria, and that the US government has rejected an emergency meeting with Russia over cease-fire violations, does not at all bode well for peace in the region.

America’s Fake War Against ISIS Grinds On

A recent US Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) hearing considering the nominations of General Joseph Votel and Lieutenant General Raymond Thomas for command of US Central Command and US Special Operations Command respectively, exposed the absurdity of America’s war on the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS).

While the Syrian Arab Army backed by Russian airpower successfully cuts off entire armies of terrorists from their supplies abroad, while encircling and eradicating them within Syrian territory, the US appears instead to be attempting to stretch out ISIS’ existence while maintaining the illusion of fighting the terrorist organization for as long as possible.

THE US GOV’T FINALLY ADMITS THAT THE PEOPLE THEY ARMED IN SYRIA HAVE COMMITTED GENOCIDE

Monday night, the US he House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to declare that Islamic State is committing genocide against Christians and other minority groups in Iraq and Syria.

In a unanimous 393-0 vote, the House resolution comes just days before the State Department is legally mandated by Congress to determine whether Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) persecution of minorities in Iraq and Syria – Christians, Yazidis, Sunni Kurds and Shiite Muslims – constitutes genocide, reports RT.

“What is happening in Iraq and Syria is a deliberate, systematic targeting of religious and ethnic minorities. Today, the House unanimously voted to call ISIS’s atrocities what they are: a genocide. We also will continue to offer our prayers for the persecuted,” House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) said in a statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The people who made the decision to do this, understanding what the consequences would most likely be, must have all had their conscience surgically removed.

Kremlin: Putin, Kerry to Meet in Moscow on Wednesday

The Kremlin has confirmed that a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will take place in Moscow on March 23, the state-run TASS news agency reported Tuesday.

“A meeting between Kerry and Putin will indeed go ahead,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists, TASS reported.

“Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will brief the president on their contacts. A sufficiently broad scope of issues will certainly be brought up during the course of the talks, primarily on the pressing topics of Syria and Ukraine,” he added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to be optimistic about the potential outcome of this meeting, but find I cannot be, particularly regarding Syria.

The US still wants regime change, and the ouster of Al-Assad; Putin will have none of it.

And there is a question of how the horrific attacks in Brussels yesterday may color things, particularly from the US side. As reported today by Mike Snyder at blacklistednews.com:

In fact, a former top adviser to Hillary Clinton started calling for a Syrian invasion within just hours of the attacks… A former adviser to Hillary Clinton on Syria, Frederic C. Hof, now a Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East, has called for invading Syria in the wake of the deadly attacks in Brussels. “For the better part of a year, one clear recommendation has been on the table: assemble an American-led, coalition-of-the-willing, professional ground component—one top-heavy in regional and European forces—to enter eastern Syria to close with and kill ISIS. Engaging the Syrian opposition at all levels, consistent with an executable civil-military stabilization plan, can produce an administrative structure for an ISIS-free eastern Syria. Killing ISIS in Syria can ease the migration crisis and hasten the demise of this murderous band in Iraq. And it can demonstrate to the credulously stupid that linking up with losers will be a one-way trip to self-destruction,” Hof writes.

7 STRANGE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE BRUSSELS TERROR ATTACKS THAT THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS NOT ASKING

The horrific terror attacks in Brussels, Belgium on March 22, 2016 are going to reverberate in our memories for years to come, and perhaps that was the intention. Terror attacks are designed to create fear and to get attention, and these attacks have definitely done both. On Tuesday morning, two huge explosions ripped through Zaventem Airport in Brussels as travelers were getting ready to board their morning flights. You can view some raw footage of one of the bomb blasts right here. Just a short while later, another huge explosion was reported at a metro station just yards away from the European Commission headquarters. At this point, CNN says that at least 30 people have died and about 230 people are wounded as a result of these bombings. But what was the real motive for these attacks?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Our hearts, (and some of our prayers),naturally, go out to the families and friends of those who were killed and wounded in this horrific attack.

But even in our collective sense of being shaken badly by this incident, we have to pull ourselves together, and ask the logical, sang-foid question; cui bono?!? Who benefits?!?

It is certainly NOT Syria, from where most of the Jihadists have fled, and Russia's leadership has stated that they will unilaterally defend Syria from any outside attack against Syrian soil.

I'm looking at the Faux News feed (which I can only do with the sound off, to prevent intense nausea), and Andy Mc Carthy, a former US Assistant Attorney for the Southern District of New York, made the statement to the effect that if these attacks were planned in Syria or Iraq, it poses a grave security problem for the US.

However, to date, and to the best of my understanding, there is no concrete evidence which has been presented that this was, in fact, the case.

There are certain, powerful elements in this government, and beyond, (think: the Saudi Arabian and Turkish governments) who would love to see the US military invade Syria, to get rid of Al-Assad; of course, that, most probably, means war with Russia.

There are certain, powerful elements in this government and beyond, who would love to see the US military completely re-invade Iraq; they, of course, are willfully ignore thinking about the powerful Shiite Cleric, Moqtada Al Sadr, who recently has been a peaceful force against the corruption of the Iraqi government, but could reconstitute his Mahdi army against American forces in a heartbeat.

There are certain powerful elements in this government, and beyond, who would love a complete US reinvasion/occupation of Libya, to control its oil, and have it sold only for US dollars.

How this attack is ultimately going to be spun remains to be seen; but trust me - it will be spun, most probably to support one of the agendas I have outlined above.

Reporting (Or Not) The Ties Between US-Armed Syrian Rebels And Al Qaeda’s Affiliate

A crucial problem in news media coverage of the Syrian civil war has been how to characterize the relationship between the so-called “moderate” opposition forces armed by the CIA, on one hand, and the Al Qaeda franchise Al Nusra Front (and its close ally Ahrar al Sham), on the other. But it is a politically sensitive issue for US policy, which seeks to overthrow Syria’s government without seeming to make common cause with the movement responsible for 9/11, and the system of news production has worked effectively to prevent the news media from reporting it fully and accurately.

Riyadh, Ankara disrupting progress in Syria talks: Nasrallah

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, says Saudi Arabia and Turkey are "disrupting any progress" in the ongoing negotiations between the Syrian government and the opposition aimed at ending five years of war in the Arab country.

"What is disrupting any progress toward a political solution is firstly Saudi Arabia, and secondly Turkey," Nasrallah said during an interview with the Lebanese al-Mayadeen television channel broadcast on Monday.

A few days ago the president of the flying club in the Greek town of Mesolongi was arrested for charging 30000 euro from seven refugees for transportation to Italy. “There are families from different areas in Syria, who have money. They complained to me that Syrian citizens have to sell all properties and assets to raise money for escaping the war. They sell their homes, their estates, their lands and all of that are bought by Turks. Do you know about this? The Turks buy this property in Syrian cities for trifling sums in order to obtain a right and opportunity to settle over there in the ensuing times.

ISIS' Main Palmyra Supply Route Cut off, Liberation Imminent

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is in serious trouble at the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur), thanks in large part to the recent offensive launched by the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah in the Homs Governorate’s eastern countryside. However, the situation for ISIL in Palmyra has just taken a turn for the worse after the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” and their allies imposed full control over two hills that overlook the terrorist group’s primary supply route along the Ithriya-Palmyra Road. Just how devastating is this? Well, the Ithriya-Palmyra Road allowed ISIL to have a short route from the east Hama front to the city of Palmyra. Now that they have been cutoff along this important roadway, ISIL will have to take a long trip through the vast mountains of northeastern Homs that require them to travel along this rough terrain using makeshift roads.

Why are the Kurds saying that Chechens are "Genuinely Native" to Syria?

Settlers – They’re Not Just Israeli... In what is probably one of the most peculiar revelations thus far exposed in the War on Syria, it has come out that the Kurds’ official federalization plan, the so-called “Project For A Democratic Syria”, not only recycles Secular Wahhabi rhetoric about “fascism” and “semi-fascism”, but ludicrously alleges that the Chechens are “genuinely native in this land” and “participated in creating the region’s history and culture.” This is a shameless and naked distortion of history that’s predicated solely on self-interested geopolitical reasons, namely the Kurds’ interest in extending an ‘olive branch’ of ‘win-win’ federalization to the over 2,000 Chechens that are fighting for Daesh in northern Syria. Furthermore, by attempting to rewrite history in order to ‘legitimize’ the new jihadist Chechen settlers, the Kurds are also providing irrefutable proof about the existence of Kelly M. Greenhill’s “Weapons of Mass Migration”.

How can Syria deflect the US-UK "Federation" Spin?

The move is obviously a smokescreen designed to obscure vision so that several objectives are lost in the fog. Firstly, the announcement was made at "al-Remailan" city (basically an Oil Field, where the US was reportedly building a military base under the pretext of its on-going alleged activities to fight ISIS/Daesh). Secondly, “forces” already receiving full US support, bearing a striking resemblance to the ill-famed previous announcement of the so-called Opposition “National Syria Council”, made the announcement. So the move should be seen as a US-UK one and not a “Kurdish” one, especially as it includes “representatives” (proxies) of so many other ethnicities and “communities”. It is essential to take this key element into consideration when analyzing the move.

Syrian Kurds do not seek autonomy for themselves — representative in Moscow

"We do not seek creation of an autonomy for the Kurds. We wish to have a regime that will guarantee everybody’s rights," he said. "We do not seek creation of a state for any individual ethnic group. Why have we arrived at this decision [to proclaim a federation — TASS]? Defeats suffered by Syrian government troops and the advances of terrorist forces were the main factor. Creation of a self-defense force was the most correct decision in that situation," Osman said. "We created a special administrative regimen for the purpose of self-defense. We are now creating self-government, education and health service agencies of our own."

Syria’s HNC against letting Kurdish Democratic Union side with opposition at Geneva talks. Parliamentary elections due in April are illegitimate

Syria’s Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) maintains contacts with the Syrian government, hence its representatives cannot side with the opposition at the peace talks in Geneva, Salim al-Muslat, a spokesman for the High Negotiations Committee (HNC), the main Syrian opposition group at the Geneva peace talks, said on Sunday. "Those who are in talks with the regime, who share its views should represent the opposite side at the talks," he said when asked why no representatives from the Kurdish Democratic Union Party had been included into the HNC. He said three Kurdish representatives are members of the HNC negotiating team, adding that "all Syrian groups, including the Kurds, were invited to the Riyadh meeting." Haytham Manna, a co-chair of the opposition Syrian Democratic Council, was invited to take part in the Riyadh meeting but decided not to attend it just ahead of the meeting.

Syrian Archbishop Jacques Behnan Hindo had strong words in response to Secretary of State John Kerry yesterday. Bishop Hindo said "the proclamation of genocide is accomplished by pointing the spotlight on Daesh and censoring all the complicity and historical and political processes that led to the creation of the jihadist monster, since the war waged in Afghanistan against the Soviets by supporting armed Islamist groups. One wants to erase all the strange factors that led to the sudden and abnormal emergence of Daesh.

“The West Overthrew all Democratic, Peaceful Governments. …It then Manufactures Terrorist Cells”

Since the peace talks in Vienna, known as the Vienna Process held in late October 2015, Iran joined the negotiations to find a solution to the devastating civil war in Syria that has left more than 250,000 Syrians dead since 2011.

The United States had previously objected to Iran’s presence at the peace talks, and in January 2014, the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon withdrew his invitation for Iran to partake in the one-day negotiations in Montreux, Switzerland.

It was conjectured at that time that the United States pressured Ban to back away from his decision to include Iran in the UN-sponsored event.

However, it’s has transpired that Iran can play a defining role in bringing back peace and stability to Syria given its close partnership with the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Hillary Clinton’s Emails. A Sunni-Shiite War Would be Good for Israel and the West. Senior Israeli Intelligence Official

The intelligence service of Israel considers a potential Sunni-Shiite war in Syria a favorable development for the country and the West, according to an email archive of former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, released by WikiLeaks.

The author of the email, forwarded by Clinton in July 2012, argued that Israel is convinced Iran would lose “its only ally” in the Middle East, if the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad collapses.

Clinton Emails: How Google Worked With Hillary to Try and Overthrow Syria’s Assad

The Silicon Valley’s technotronic oligarchy have been exposed as a mere extension of the CIA in terms of playing a role in Washington’s state policy of regime change in Syria.

This latest email release reveals how then US Secretary of State, and now Democratic presidential favorite Hillary Clinton colluded with executive at Google to launch a digital PR onslaught against the president of Syria, Bashar al Assad.

This is all part of Google’s ‘color revolution’ business, and also part of the Smart Power Complex used to manufacture public consent for ‘humanitarian interventions’ globally.

The U.S. Department of State estimates December, 2017, almost 2 years, is the earliest it can complete WTF News’ Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in relation to the murder of American reporter Serena Shim. WTF News submitted a FOIA request to the State Department to release information on the events before and after Serena Shim’s death in Turkey while she was reporting on Syria’s proxy war. The FOIA Requester Service Center noted State Department officials may need that time “due to various extenuating factors, which are beyond the control of the Branch” in response to a WTF News inquiry on the status of the case...

The hunt for evidence before embarking on a course of state action is becoming less and less important. Such matters as accusations of terrorism seem to have a suspending effect on the laws of proof. Putin’s Syrian strategy: Not following playbook of American exceptionalism

There are two main factors most have lost sight of when considering Russia’s Syrian exit strategy: First, Putin’s intervention in Syria was never about winning the war against ISIL, or even asserting President Bashar al-Assad’s position over his people. Second, Russia entered the military fray under a strict invitation from Damascus for a predetermined period of time.

Russia’s move in Syria was one rooted in support and clever politicking, not interventionism. Moscow never planned to exploit Damascus’ call for help and turn a regional ally into an obedient vassal, or worse.

Russia, it needs to be remembered, is not guided by America’s exceptionalism playbook, but international law. There is no underlying Russian territorial ambitions, no desire to utilize Terror to better chip away at a state’ sovereignty – and this in itself is marvelously refreshing.

Goldberg on Obama’s Syria credibility ‘crisis’

Everybody’s got something to say about Jeffrey Goldberg’s extensive article at The Atlantic, The Obama Doctrine. Since it was published last week, reviews have been more prolific than dandelions. It’s got a theme running through it; militarily, has the U.S. lost its deterrence credibility because of Barack Obama? And the article opens, closes, centers on, and drives home Obama’s failure to bomb Syria in August 2013 after Bashar al-Assad allegedly crossed Obama’s previously-stated red line.

Goldberg gnashes on this idea over and over in the interview. He’s not reporting the story, he’s driving it — for the neocons.

NATO Firms Equip Field Hospital For Saudi Jihadists In Syria

This is news whose source is one that has long been reporting on the Syrian war, from a standpoint that Western-sponsored polls have consistently shown to be authentically reflective of the way that the Syrian public view the war in Syria, which is to say, overwhelmingly pro-Assad-government, and anti-American-government. Consequently, the source is excluded from Western ’news’ media. However, I have checked many of the source’s reports and found that, with the exception of a few obviously unitentional and minor and honest errors, the source is reliable, and Western sources are grossly inaccurate. So: here is a summary of that person’s report:

Syrian War Enters Sixth Year with Graver Dangers Still Ahead

The national economy has been shattered, with over half of Syrians unemployed and 85 percent living in poverty. Much of the country has been plunged into darkness after continuous attacks on power stations and other electricity infrastructure.

This proxy war has been waged almost entirely by Al Qaeda-linked militias armed and funded by the CIA, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, which all collaborated to funnel in tens of thousands of so-called foreign fighters.

The attempts to sell this war to the American people, as a “humanitarian” intervention by the Obama administration and its media accomplices, and even—by various pseudo-left organizations—to portray it as a “revolution” have fallen totally flat.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why every candidate running for Congress, or the Presidency, needs to be confronted with questions about these horrific pre-emptive wars, and extract pledges to stop them, when they take their Oath of Office.

Because at the end of the day, these wars are not for "freedom", or allegedly "protecting the American way of life"; ultimately, our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, and friends and relatives are being killed or maimed for life to enhance corporate profit, period, end of discussion.

And you can be pretty darn sure that the sons and daughters of either Congressional representatives, or the kids of the chairs of major defense corporations, can be found anywhere on the front lines of these wars!!

It's always "other people's kids".

Creating Kurdish federal region in Syria to complicate Geneva talks — source

"This situation only complicates the negotiations, considering relations between Damascus and the Kurds," the source said. The Turks are blocking the Kurds’ involvement (in the talks), who are a real force ‘on the ground.’ In actual fact, the Turks prompted the Kurds to take this step," the source said. The forum held under the motto "Democratic federal Syria - guarantee of co-residence and brotherhood of peoples" brought together 200 delegates.

It is undemocratic and hostile to dismiss or choose a leader and president via politics," Firouzabadi said on Tuesday. He said a mentality and position as such is out of date, adding that this aggressive and unreal dream will never come true in Syria. Firouzabadi warned that elimination of President Assad from Syrian politics will expand the influence of ISIL terrorists and pave way for the establishment of a Takfiri government inside the war-torn country. Syria's Democracy is the Last Defense Against Federalization

As destabilizing as the Kurds’ announcement was and might eventually turn out to be, it’s still far from certain that they’ll achieve their stated objective by the time everything is said and done, and it’s much more likely that they took the steps that they did as part of a calculated political gambit in securing a seat at Geneva... In any case, the Kurds have played their ultimate card by announcing a federal state because there’s no realistic way that they’ll transgress UNSC Res. 2254 by declaring independence and experiencing the dual wrath of Russia and the US, the two most significant guarantors of that agreement.

Kurdish representative says Kurds’ federalization is step towards resolving Syrian crisis

"The announcement of the Kurds’ federalization is one of the proposals to resolve the Syrian crisis," he said. "Northern Syria offers its settlement model but is not committed to seceding from Syria. We want a unified state, but, at the same time, this does not prevent us from putting the federalization idea into practice." When asked whether the beginning of the federalization process was linked to the withdrawal of Russia’s aviation group from Syria, Patiev said it was "a mere coincidence." Referring to the Kurds’ participation in the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva, he noted that "the issue was actively discussed, but so far verbally." "UN Secretary General’s special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura lacks determination in this matter," he said. The Kurds earlier announced the creation of a federal region in northern Syria.

While Russia is withdrawing most of its forces from Syria, they could be deployed there again in a matter of hours if such a need arises, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated. He added that the Russian bases in Syria are well-protected.

“Of course, if such a need arises, Russia can, in several hours, build up its forces in Syria to a size capable of dealing with an escalating situation and use the entire range of means at its disposal,” Putin said.

Syria Hmeimim group calls on Riyadh group supporters to lay down arms, hold dialogue

Discussions with opposition members from the Riyadh group (the High Negotiations Committee - HNC) are possible if their supporters agree to lay down arms, Ilian Masaad who heads the delegation of the internal Syrian opposition in Geneva that came to be known as the Hmeimim group has told TASS. "If they say that we stop here and that it is necessary to lay down arms," he said when asked whether the Hmeimim group was ready for contacts with the HNC. "I cannot talk with someone who puts a pistol to my head." When asked whether the HNC controlled armed groups on the ground, he said, "No, it doesn't. Terrorist and other groups opposed to the state are controlled by people funded by Qataris, Turks and Saudis. There are people in Riyadh’s delegation who work for this project. That’s their job. However, if one day Turkey says, ‘Enough!’, the next day the Turkish border will be closed and the delivery of weapons and ammunition still be stopped.

Syria conflict: Kerry plans key talks in Russia

US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Russia next week to discuss Syria, after Moscow began withdrawing most of its forces from the country.
Mr Kerry said Russia's move, along with the opening of UN-mediated Syria talks in Geneva, may be "the best opportunity" to end the conflict.
The UN special envoy to Syria said the talks now had a new momentum.
The first Russian planes started leaving on Tuesday, a day after Russia's announcement.
However, Russia would continue its air strikes in Syria despite the partial pullout, Deputy Defence Minister Nikolay Pankov said.

25-Year-Old Syrian Immigrant (U.S. Citizen) Convicted Of Lying In ISIL Terrorism Investigation, Sentenced to 8 Years

The U.S. Department of Justice issued a press release on Monday: "In his plea agreement, Kodaimati admitted that he knew a member of ISIL and that while in Syria he participated in a battle against the Syrian regime, including shooting at others, in coordination with Al Nusrah fighters. During today’s sentencing hearing, U.S. District Judge Anthony Battaglia noted that the crime involved “very, very serious” false statements and that an eight year sentence was necessary to deter others who might be tempted to lie when national security is at stake. “The defendant deliberately hid his connections to terrorists and the fact that he participated in combat in Syria,” said U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy. “This is an appropriately severe sentence that underscores the very serious nature of a crime that has the potential to jeopardize our national security.” Kodaimati was born in Syria and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in September 2008.

BEX ALERT!!!: Op-Ed How a monstrous Putin beat the U.S. in Syria

Max Boot! Go figure. The Neocons are in full blown panic mode!

The entire world was surprised when, at the end of September 2015, Vladimir Putin suddenly started moving Russian aircraft, tanks and troops into Syria.

This week, the world is equally dumbfounded by the Russian president's announcement that he is withdrawing the "main part" of his forces in Syria.
Putin loves to spring surprises on the world, and that's not hard to do when you are an absolute autocrat who doesn't have to rally popular approval for your actions. Just as in the 1930s, it seems that today dictatorships act while democracies dither.

Putin to Withdraw Russian Forces in Syria: “Objectives Achieved… Terrorists Have Been Forced Out”

The double game was revealed, and Assad is clearly relieved at the “save” on Putin’s part. For Assad, it can’t take much imagination to watch Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi go down, and know that they had plans for him next.

[During a] phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Syria’s President Bashar Assad … [t]he two leaders agreed that the actions of Russia’s Air Force in Syria have allowed them to “profoundly reverse the situation” in connection to fighting terrorists in the region, having “disorganized militants’ infrastructure and inflicted fundamental damage upon them.”

Risks In Putin’s Syria Withdrawal

What The Russian “Withdrawal” From Syria Means And What It Doesn’t

By Brandon Turbeville

With the recent announcement by Vladimir Putin that Russia is beginning a withdrawal of specific military personnel and equipment from Syria on Tuesday, March 15, the Western corporate media has been on fire with speculation that Russia is evacuating the country, retreating, and giving up on its military objectives. Indeed, the Western press is presenting the Russian announcement as a total withdrawal and a quick move out the exit door.

Those who are both pro-Assad and anti-Assad have all shared their opinions, with many even on the pro-Assad/pro-Russian side opposing the Russian scale down of military involvement out of fear that the Russians are abandoning Assad. At the crux of this opposition to the Russia move, of course, is the fundamental misunderstanding of what the “withdrawal” actually is...

6 out of 6: ALL of Syria's UNESCO Heritage Sites damaged or destroyed during civil war

The destruction of the ancient city of Palmyra has made a real impact, but in fact each and every ancient site in Syria inscribed on the World Heritage List has suffered during the five years of conflict. RT looks back at unique landmarks shattered by military action.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is not a coincidence that every nation invaded by the United States suffers the loss of their ancient archaeological heritage.

Israel's entire claim to the lands of the Palestinians rests on biblical myths about the Kingdoms of David and Solomon and the First Temple, for which there is no hard archaeological evidence. The two best known claimed artifacts for the First Temple, the Pomegranate Temple Staff ornament and the Jehoash Tablet have been exposed as clever forgeries, and locations in Israel said to be connected with David and Solomon are so named out of tradition and "confirmation bias", with archaeologists admitting there is no actual hard data as to what they really were.

Contrast that with other nations such as Egypt, Iraq, Iran, etc. where one cannot take three steps without tripping over the evidence of their ancient histories. Such a plethora of archaeological evidence in other countries has proven to be a severe embarrassment to Israel as it underscores the absence of such evidence for what Israel declares to be its historical origins on which is founded the political claim to the lands of Palestine. Much of the Torah is now known to have simply been copied from other sources. The story of the Exodus actually happened to the Hyksos, not the Hebrews, and the story of the great flood was copied almost verbatim from the Epic of Gilgamesh. People can be forgiven for asking if the stories of the First Temple are also likewise purloined from other places and peoples.

So Israel's governments, which justifies its theft of Palestine on the basis of those stories, has a powerful motive to want the archaeological sites in other countries erased, to "level the playing field" by reducing the obvious contrast in the amount of such remains in other countries versus Israel itself. This may explain why, following the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, armed forces guarded the oil ministry while the Baghdad Museum was left wide open for looting and why American forces defaced the ancient city of UR, including building portions of a runway over the site.

Syrian al-Qaeda Seizes US-Made Missiles in Fight

Al-Qaeda’s Syrian wing, Jabhat al-Nusra, has turned on one of their traditional allies in Idlib Province, the US-backed Free Syrian Army wing called Division 13, accusing the group of planning to attack its own bases.

Nusra followed this up with attacks on the Division 13 bases, seizing both bases and a number of US-made anti-tank missiles from the group. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported a number of FSA fighters were detained.

Nusra dominates the Idlib Province as the head of a coalition of Islamist-leading rebel factions. This coalition includes, or at least included multiple US-backed factions who are recipients of US arms. The US has expressed concern about Russian airstrikes against Idlib, even if targeting al-Qaeda, on the grounds they threaten American allies.

Does Not Compute: US Military Asks for Troops to 'Retake' Syrian City

Military brass is now saying that its war against ISIS is undermanned and wants more troops so that it can roll back the terrorist caliphate. That's all rather well and good but for one tiny detail. Neither Iraq nor Syria actually want those troops.

Iraq has already capped US military presence at just under 4,000 troops albeit it is quietly acquiescing to a larger, undisclosed number. Syria of course finds itself on the receiving end of a US regime change effort and so isn't permitting any US troops - not that Washington is asking.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As originally reported at globalresearch.ca, 19 September, 2014:

Lest we forget, the CIA gave birth to Osama Bin Laden and breastfed his organization during the 1980′s. Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, told the House of Commons that Al Qaeda was unquestionably a product of Western intelligence agencies. Mr. Cook explained that Al Qaeda, which literally means an abbreviation of “the database” in Arabic, was originally the computer database of the thousands of Islamist extremists, who were trained by the CIA and funded by the Saudis, in order to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan. America’s relationship with Al Qaeda has always been a love-hate affair. Depending on whether a particular Al Qaeda terrorist group in a given region furthers American interests or not, the U.S. State Department either funds or aggressively targets that terrorist group. Even as American foreign policy makers claim to oppose Muslim extremism, they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy. The Islamic State is its latest weapon that, much like Al Qaeda, is certainly backfiring. ISIS recently rose to international prominence after its thugs began beheading American journalists. Now the terrorist group controls an area the size of the United Kingdom.

The US government has, in essence, created this terrorist organisation as the "excuse" to put boots on the ground in Syria, allegedly, to get rid of them, but actually to achieve regime change in Damascus.

And this leads to a very important question, regarding Syria, whose government invited the Russian military in to get all the jihadists who are threatening the Al-Assad regime: if there are US ground troops sent to Raqqa, Syria, just what will the Russian response be?!?

I would really hope that the US government will not do this; unfortunately, just because something is the most pig-headedly, ham-fistedly stupid thing the US government could do, is utterly no guarantee that it won't do it.

And with Muqtada Al Sadr, the Shiite cleric, having rallied over 200,000 followers to protest Iraqi government corruption, and demanding that the government make good on its promise to do so, what happens when there are hundreds, if not thousands, of US troops in Mosul, allegedly to get ISIS out, when the Iraqi government doesn't want them?!?

Please remember; this was the guy who threatened that if the US military didn't leave Iraq precisely when the SOFA agreement said they had to, that all of our military in Iraq would become "fair game" for the Mahdi Army?!?

Those who don't understand the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them, and that appears quite to be what is going with the US Congress and military right now.

Does Not Compute: US Military Asks for Troops to 'Retake' Syrian City

Last time we checked Raqqa was in Syria. Only the US is able to "retake" a locality in a foreign country. Unlike the Secretary of Defense, the Department of State and the CIA which are all seething with rage that the US war against Assad is going badly the US military itself always seemed more interested in confronting ISIS rather than the Syrian government. That's not terribly surprising considering that both ISIS and the main anti-Assad rebel group, Jabhat al-Nusra are merely updated brand names for US military's old nemesis, Al Qaeda in Iraq. Thus military brass is now saying that its war against ISIS is undermanned and wants more troops so that it can roll back the terrorist caliphate.
