Pentagon Orders CENTCOM to Draw Up Plans to “Destroy” a Section of the Iraqi Armed Forces

The military not enthusiastic about Pompe’s idea but Trump gives the planning the go-ahead nonetheless

The Pentagon has ordered military commanders to plan for an escalation of American combat in Iraq, issuing a directive last week to prepare a campaign to destroy an Iranian-backed militia group that has threatened more attacks against American troops.

But the United States’ top commander in Iraq has warned that such a campaign could be bloody and counterproductive and risks war with Iran.

Two Hundred and Thirty Years of Rights and Liberties Shredded: Why I Oppose The Lockdown

My opposition to the potential Lockdown is twofold but principally it is based on the fact that over two hundred and thirty years of rights and liberties should not be shredded on the basis of any threat, real or imagined. Americans either have rights or we don’t. There is no asterisk in the Constitution that states the Bill of Rights is null and void in the event of a terrorist attack or a virus outbreak. If we do not maintain our rights in a time of crisis, then, simply put, we do not truly have rights at all.

If we do not maintain these rights, our country, such as it is, ceases to exist.

Don’t let the Saudis use coronavirus concerns to hide their crimes

Saudi Arabia has just offered to host a “Virtual” G20 summit, bringing the world’s leaders together to address the coronavirus pandemic. While the world absolutely needs much better international coordination in response to this catastrophic pandemic, Saudi Arabia’s ruling family is one of the last governments we should want convening a conversation on solving any humanitarian crisis, let alone a crisis of this magnitude.

Saudi Arabia’s ruling family has repeatedly demonstrated its opposition to the very principles that enable a successful response to a global pandemic. To successfully address a public health crisis, governments must embrace information transparency and a willingness to listen to independent voices who might challenge their preconceived notions. The Saudi dictatorship has consistently done the opposite, deploying brutal campaigns of internal repression and censorship to silence dissent.

Webmaster's Commentary:

No matter how you slice it, the Saudi "leadership" continues to be really bad news for the Middle East and beyond.

US Threatens Families Of Int'l Criminal Court Staff If They Try Americans For War Crimes

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has threatened the family members of International Criminal Court staff, vowing that Washington will take punitive action against them if the court tries American soldiers for war crimes.

Pompeo also announced an intensification of unilateral US sanctions on Iran and Syria, which are illegal under international law, and which are undermining the countries’ attempts to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

Bashing Probe of US War Crimes, Pompeo Threatens Family of ICC Staff "With Consequences"

"If there remained any doubt that the Trump administration's hostility towards the court is fundamentally punitive and callous in nature, these doubts have now been dispelled."

by Andrea Germanos, staff writer

Amnesty International on Wednesday rebuked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo over new comments bashing the International Criminal Court and threatening court staff—and their family members—investigating alleged war crimes committed by United States forces in Afghanistan.

Pompeo suggested retaliatory actions would be in store.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Threatening the families of investigators?!?

Are you flipping kidding me?!?

I know that Pompeo self-identifies as an Evangelical, "Rapture-Read"y Christian, but in listening to this language of threats against ICC families, I am truly having a "God, save me from your followers!!" moment here.

As Coronvirus Grips the US, Americans Get a Taste of Life Under Sanctions

The crippling shortages, inability to move and the likely overwhelming of medical services will give Americans a taste of what it is like to live under sanctions that it imposes on a number of countries worldwide. U.S. sanctions on Venezuela, declared illegal and a “crime against humanity” by the United Nations, are conservatively estimated to have killed more than 40,000 people between 2017 and 2018 alone. Diabetics, for example, have been unable to get insulin because of the embargo, leading to mass deaths. The Cuban government estimates that the American embargo has cost it over $750 billion. Meanwhile, Iran, wracked by the virus that has caused more than 850 confirmed deaths, has been decimated by Trump’s increased sanctions.

Whoops! A holiday missed! Remembering Liberty and Patrick!

Ireland and her people have always and nearly constantly battled against others to win and keep their liberty. For all of recorded history, Irish patriots have been challenged by internal tyrants and bandits (often with little to tell the two apart). The Emerald Isle has been a constant attraction to invaders, including Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Danes and other Vikings, the Norman French and last (and longest), their English and Scots neighbors. Other, more subtle invasions have been a problem as well. In modern times, the submission of Ireland to the European Union is such a problem. But there are more forms of tyranny. These include organized religion: churches. Specifically the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Ireland (part of the Church of England – Anglican).

Detect, Deter and Annihilate: How the Police State Will Deal with a Coronavirus Outbreak

By John W. Whitehead
March 16, 2020

“Fear is a primitive impulse, brainless as hunger, and because the aim of horror fiction is the production of the deepest kinds of fears, the genre tends to reinforce some remarkably uncivilized ideas about self-protection. In the current crop of zombie stories, the prevailing value for the beleaguered survivors is a sort of siege mentality, a vigilance so constant and unremitting that it’s indistinguishable from the purest paranoia.”— Terrence Rafferty, New York Times

What do zombies have to do with the U.S. government’s plans for dealing with a coronavirus outbreak?

Read on, and I’ll tell you.

Why Iraqis Hate the U.S. Troops Who Occupy Their Country

We invaded their land. We did it on the basis of Bush’s lies that Bush had conclusive evidence that Saddam was six months from a nuclear weapon and had been behind the 9/11 attacks. He blatantly misrepresented the evidence that he did have. And instead of Bush, or any of his successors, apologizing for this — the destruction of Iraq (on the basis of lies) — there has been continued military occupation of Iraq, and forcing of its Government to do what our lying Government demands, such as privatizing the oil and paying international oil companies to exploit and market it — their oil.

FLASHBACK: US diplomats involved in trafficking of human blood and pathogens for secret military program

The US Embassy to Tbilisi transports frozen human blood and pathogens as diplomatic cargo for a secret US military program. Internal documents, implicating US diplomats in the transportation of and experimenting on pathogens under diplomatic cover were leaked to me by Georgian insiders. According to these documents, Pentagon scientists have been deployed to the Republic of Georgia and have been given diplomatic immunity to research deadly diseases and biting insects at the Lugar Center – the Pentagon biolaboratory in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi.

This military facility is just one of the many Pentagon biolaboratories in 25 countries across the world. They are funded by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) under a $ 2.1 billion military program – Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP), and are located in former Soviet Union countries such as Georgia and Ukraine, the Middle East, South East Asia and Africa.

FLASHBACK: The Long-suppressed Korean War Report on U.S. Use of Biological Weapons Released At Last

Written largely by the most prestigious British scientist of his day, this report was effectively suppressed upon its release in 1952. Published now in text-searchable format, it includes hundreds of pages of evidence about the use of U.S. biological weapons during the Korean War, available for the first time to the general public.

Download the full report here.

Back in the early 1950s, the U.S. conducted a furious bombing campaign during the Korean War, dropping hundreds of thousands of tons of ordnance, much of it napalm, on North Korea. The bombardment, worse than any country had received up to that point, excepting the effects of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, wiped out nearly every city in North Korea, contributing to well over a million civilian deaths. Because of the relentless bombing, the people were reduced to living in tunnels. Even the normally bellicose Gen. MacArthur claimed to find the devastation wreaked by the U.S. to be sickening.[1]

Team Trump Tried to Bully the ICC into Dropping War Crimes Probe but Failed

After the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) found a reasonable basis to believe that U.S. military and CIA leaders committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in Afghanistan, Team Trump threatened to ban ICC judges and prosecutors from the U.S. and warned it would impose economic sanctions on the Court if it launched an investigation.

Apparently succumbing to the U.S. threats, in April 2019, the ICC’s Pretrial Chamber refused to authorize the investigation that prosecutor Fatou Bensouda had requested.

But in an unprecedented decision, the Appeals Chamber unanimously overruled the Pretrial Chamber on March 5, 2020, and ordered a formalinvestigation of U.S., Afghan and Taliban officials for war crimes, including torture, committed in the “war on terror.”

Once again, the Trump administration is threatening the International Criminal Court. Following the Appeals Chamber’s decision, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo declared,

US Air Force Won’t Use Its Brand New Boeing Tanker Planes Except in an Emergency. A Fix Expected by 2023 or 2024

The U.S. State Department has approved the potential sale of eight KC-46A Pegasus tankers to Israel, which is in the process of selecting a replacement for its aging Boeing 707-based tankers.

This comes as the U.S. Air Force has revealed that it is looking at new delays in developing critical fixes for its KC-46As and that there is still no clear schedule for when existing aircraft will actually receive those modifications.

In the meantime, the service won’t be using the Pegasuses it has now for routine combat or non-combat aerial refueling missions, except in an emergency.

Opposing Standing Armies: A Great American Tradition

The founding fathers were almost completely averse to standing armies and believed they posed a dangerous threat to American liberty.

In contrast to the Navy, the Constitution stipulates that appropriations for the Army can’t be made for longer than two years. Elbridge Gerry, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the main architects of the Bill of Rights, went so far as to declare that a standing army is “the bane of liberty.” And in his 1989 book The Present Age, conservative sociologist Robert Nisbet quipped that “most of the time the Continental Congress acted as if it was more afraid of a bona fide American army coming out of the war than it was of a British Victory.”

All you need to know about latest Saudi crackdown in 500 words

Saudi Arabia has launched a new crackdown against senior royals and top officials, according to several reports, in what appears to be Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's latest effort to consolidate control of all major levers of power inside the kingdom.

Among those held in the sweeping crackdown are two of the most prominent royal family members: Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, a younger brother of Saudi King Salman, and Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, the king's nephew and former crown prince.

There has been no official comment from Saudi authorities on the arrests, but reports emerging on Friday triggered rumours about a possible coup attempt or sudden deterioration in the health of the 84-year-old king.

Here is what happened:

Arrests

Webmaster's Commentary:

We have a companion piece, also in antiwar.com, with the following headline:

Saudi princes' detentions sent a message: don't block my path to the throne

the article went on to state: " Saudi Arabia’s crown prince meant to send a strong message to critics within the royal family by detaining senior princes this weekend: Don’t you dare oppose my succession to the throne. The main target in the crackdown, sources said, is King Salman’s brother, Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, one of only three members of the Allegiance Council, the royal body that endorses the line of succession, to oppose Mohammed bin Salman becoming crown prince in 2017 in a palace coup."

US Special Forces Deployed with Al Qaeda in Idlib in False Flag Attack on Turkish Forces (updated)

Communications intercepts and intelligence from inside Turkish backed terror groups tell an interesting story. Americans are there, for the past 2 days, loads of cash, promises of US passports and families resettled in the US.

US forces are to set up ambushes and suicide bombings against Turkish outposts in Idlib in order to bring about an end to the truce negotiated in Moscow between Erdogan and Trump on March 5.

Whether video will be shot using captured Syrian uniforms may be possible. It is also rumored that Turkish officers, some under CIA/Gulen control, may take part as well.

Karl MARX’s Influence on Abraham LINCOLN

Friends,
These columns don’t often cite The Washington Post; however, last summer I ran across an article that I saved for future reference and use. And today I will reproduce it.
For the past century and more there has been lively discussion—and debate—over Abraham Lincoln, his life, his views, and the legacy of his presidency left to us. Writers as diverse as historian David Donald, black writer Lerone Bennett, and Professor Thomas di Lorenzo (in two significant books), have attempted to dissect Lincoln’s life and the revolutionary “new” America he gave birth to.

Pompeo: US Will Take ‘All Necessary Measures’ to Prevent ICC War Crimes Probe: Pompeo says investigation undermines Afghan peace deal

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reacted angrily to the International Criminal Court (ICC) calling to investigate US war crimes, declaring the group “an unaccountable political institution masquerading as a legal body.”

Pompeo said it was reckless to even suggest an investigation after the Afghan peace deal was reached, and vowed the US would take “all necessary measures” to shield US personnel from the investigation.

This is roughly in line with US policy toward war crimes investigations, and in the past the US has threatened military action against the Netherlands, the host of the court, to shield American soldiers from charges.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the US is doing absolutely nothing than straight-up, aboveboard interrogations, what do their soldiers have to fear?!?

The answer is, absolutely nothing.

Here's the Wikipedia description of this organization:
Description: International Criminal Court

Look at the Map: there are two countries, represented in mustard color, because they have been a "Signatory that subsequently withdrew its signature."

Notice that the two countries are... The United States and China; and the question we have to ask is, "Why did they do this?!?"

The answer has to be, that in some way, these countries have legitimately been guilty of the following: "The ICC has jurisdiction to prosecute individuals for the international crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression. It is intended to complement existing national judicial systems and it may therefore exercise its jurisdiction only when certain conditions are met, such as when national courts are unwilling or unable to prosecute criminals or when the United Nations Security Council or individual states refer situations to the Court."

IF Secretary of State didn't know what was already happening in Afghanistan, he wouldn't be making these statements or charges; unfortunately, that is not the only place where US government-mandated or US-government-enabled war crimes are taking place.

Let's look at the US enabled Saudi War Crimes in Yemen; the indiscriminate killing of infants; children; women; and the medically fragile elderly. The Causing of rampant starvation, because ships with aid are not allowed to dock at Yemen's only port, Hodeida. Let's look at the massive waves of cholera here, because all the clean water infrastructure has been destroyed by US Saudi bombings. Aid organizations, like "Medicin Sans Frontiers" having gotten their facilities bombed into rubble so frequently in Yemen, that the risk/benefit ratio was so messed up, that they had no choice but to leave Yemen.

Has my government, and does my government, currently, engage in war crimes, and crimes against humanity?!? The short answer is, every damned day, somewhere.

And until and Unless Secretary Pompeo is ready, and willing to cure this, it will continue to be a living curse on this country, wreaking retribution where we least expect it.

And I have a name for Secretary Pompeo to have checked by the poor unfortunate (or unfortunates) being "punished" by having to read this site: Hanns Scharff.

Bio: Hanns Scharff

Who was this guy?@? He was a Nazi interrogator, who never used violence to get information out his English, Yank, and Canadian prisoners during World War II. He instead gave them the impression, by the way he spoke to them, that he already knew everything there was to know about their operation, and in fact, actually had them released from prison for artistic and cultural events. He got information from them in a way which was both brilliant, and never had to break a leg to do it.

At the end of the war, this man was so revered as an interrogator, that he was invited by the US military so greatly, that he was invited to teach his techniques to the American military. He ultimately became an American citizen, and was primarily known in this country for the beautiful pottery he created.

And Mr. Secretary of State, we need more Hanns Scharffs as our interrogators, not the second comings of the monsters who have and (who continue ) to use torture to exact confessions, which are generally not actionable, but great for conjuring an American narrative of what "baddies" they really are.

Remembering The Alamo

Also remember Goliad where 400 Texicans were massacred after surrendering by Santa Ana and the Mexican Army!

Tomorrow, March 6, marks the anniversary of the fall of the Alamo outside of San Antonio, Texas, back in 1836. This event is so significant in my mind that I always try to devote a column that honors the heroism of these men on or around the anniversary of the occasion.

For 13 days, 189 brave and determined patriots withstood Santa Anna’s seasoned army of over 4,000 troops. To a man, the defenders of that mission fort knew that they would never leave those ramparts alive. They had several opportunities to leave and live. Yet they chose to fight and die. How foolish they must look to this generation of spoiled Americans.

U.S. personnel to be investigated for alleged war crimes in Afghanistan

International Criminal Court appeals judges authorized Thursday an investigation into allegations of war crimes by United States military and intelligence personnel, Afghan forces and the Taliban in Afghanistan, in a case that has triggered a diplomatic backlash from Washington.

“The prosecutor is authorized to commence investigation in relation to alleged crimes committed on the territory of Afghanistan in the period since 1 May 2003,” Judge Piotr Hofma?ski said, adding that other alleged crimes committed on the territory of other states, which are party to the ICC, but that are sufficiently linked to the armed conflict in Afghanistan could also be investigated in the period since July 1, 2002.

DOD LINGUIST ARRESTED, CHARGED WITH ESPIONAGE FOR SHARING IDENTITIES OF US SPIES WITH HEZBOLLAH

SOURCE: ZERO HEDGE

A US department of defense employee has been arrested and charged with transmitting "highly sensitive classified" information to a foreign national with ties to the Lebanese Islamist militant group Hezbollah.

According to US federal prosecutors, 61-year-old Mariam Taha Thompson told a Lebanese man the names of foreign informants, as well as details of the information they provided to the United States - revealing some of the government’s most closely held secrets, according to the New York Times. Officials say Ms. Thompson endangered the lives of both sources and military personnel.

She was arrested at an overseas US base on February 27.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are a couple of questions which immediately spring to mind, following this arrest:

1. What in heaven's name possessed this woman to do such a thing?!?

2. Why was it that the DOD was only able to make this arrest well after "the horse was already out of the barn", as my late maternal grandmother was fond of saying?!? Why were the DOD's concerns not addressed until after the damage was already done?!?

3. And the dramatic "find" of a note under her mattress, when she had to understand that her personal effects would be the most immediately searched?!?

Forgive me, but something here does not pass the "smell test". I have to wonder if this woman is not being "flipped" by the DOD, in search of a far larger, more menacing threat to American security, OR, as is frequently the case with FBI stings, they have demonized her, and made her appear to be far more threatening than she ever was, to prove to a rather skeptical American public, that they are "doing something" to prevent terrorism from striking at the American heartland.

Pompeo Blasts "Renegade" & "Reckless" ICC Investigation Into US War Crimes In Afghanistan

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo lashed out in an official statement Thursday in response to the International Criminal Court (ICC) announcing it has begun an investigation into alleged US war crimes during the eighteen-year long war. The ICC said it will also probe allegations against all parties in the conflict, including the Taliban and Afghan military.

"This is a truly breathtaking action by an unaccountable political institution, masquerading as a legal body," the statement reads. "It is all the more reckless for this ruling to come just days after the United States signed a historic peace deal on Afghanistan – the best chance for peace in a generation," Pompeo added in reference to the historic US-Taliban peace deal which already appears to have unraveled.

The US Used Biological Warfare Against Mainland China in the 1950s

The US amnestied Japanese war criminals and told them to develop biological weapons for its use. It then used those weapons widely in the Korean War, but vehemently denied doing so, blaming any reports on “Communist propaganda” which it continues to this day. ‘Fortunately’ the Chinese and Korean familiarity with Japanese bioweapons meant they were able to limit the fallout and render the US biological warfare campaign ineffective.

Bloomberg tells AIPAC he'll 'never impose conditions' on military aid to Israel

Former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg on Monday pledged to support Israel’s security and constrain Iran’s nuclear program at the annual pro-Israel AIPAC summit in Washington, while also criticizing Sen. Bernie Sanders for boycotting the annual event, which has been a lightning rod in the 2020 Democratic primary.

Bloomberg was the only 2020 Democratic presidential candidate to attend the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Conference in Washington, a move criticized by progressives and some Democrats not aligned with the group's views.

“I can’t tell you how glad I am to be at AIPAC,” he said. "Israel is small, we know, but resilient, and surrounded by adversaries. And if you caught the last couple of presidential debates you know that I can empathize."

MORE: Bloomberg criticizes Trump’s response to coronavirus as he launches campaign blitz ahead of Super Tuesday

Translation from Bloombergese into English; "I will allow Israeli full, unfettered and free rein to "play picador" in the Middle East, until it gets into a fight it cannot win on its own, and then expend American troops to clean up after Israel, no matter the cost in blood and money!

And hey, invading Iran, even if Russia has pledged to support it in the case of a US invasion of it, Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If the U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Saysis no big deal!!"

Mayor Bloomberg, a word, please; there are moments when US and Israeli objectives align in the Middle East, and times when they most assuredly do NOT align; this last, and thoroughly irresponsible statement, indicates to both American voters, and the rest of the world, that you are hard-pressed to understand the difference here, and are infinitely more inclined to support Israel, no matter if it is completely wrong in its premise to wage whatever wars they feel are critical, at any given point in time, than supporting an even-handed approach to the region's politics.

The CIA’s Role in Operation Condor

The Washington Post is reporting today that top secret documents confirm the role that the CIA played in Operation Condor, the international state-sponsored assassination, kidnapping, torture, and murder ring run by U.S.-supported military dictatorships in South America in the late 1970s. The documents confirm that the CIA’s role in the operation was to provide communications equipment to the ring, which enabled them to coordinate cross-border efforts to kidnap, torture, and kill suspected communists, which, of course, were nothing more than people who believed in socialism or communism.

Over the years, I have written about Operation Condor, and FFF has linked to many article detailing this sordid, dark-side conspiracy.

ASSANGE EXTRADITION HEARING OPENS WITH SCATHING CONDEMNATION BY MAINSTREAM MEDIA

SOURCE: MINT PRESS
The extradition trial of Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange got underway at Woolwich Crown Court in London today. Assange, 48, is wanted by the U.S. government on 18 charges of hacking and breaches of the Espionage Act, specifically for the publication of evidence leaked by Pvt. Chelsea Manning that detailed evidence of American war crimes in the Middle East. If found guilty he faces up to 175 years in prison.

The prosecution, led by James Lewis, Q.C., began by reading out a damning statement from five leading media organizations, The Guardian, The New York Times, El País, Der Spiegel and Le Monde, all of whom had partnered with Wikileaks, gratefully publishing the group’s revelations but now condemned them, helping his prosecution.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember; nothing ever published by Wikileaks, has ever been proven to have been wrong, or a lie.

IF the prosecution is successful here, it will mean we have truly come to the end of independent American journalism, and that all we can expect from a monied-protecting infrastructure, coupled with the US military industrial complex, are more lies out of the presstitute media, aimed at intensifying and keeping current US-enabled global wars going, through which to expropriate other countries' raw materials, and creating new fronts through which this country will be fighting more wars for resources.

Is we look at what is happening now in this country and beyond, what we see, when focused through a very long lens, a "history telephoto" lens, is the coming last gasp of the American empire.

And when conscription comes back in this country, (and right now, it appears to be a question of when, rather than if), it will absolutely not come for those scions of rich Americans families; the US government and military, will be coming for your sons (and your daughters) this time, and there will be no way out for them, but to be of service; not actually in service to the American republic, you understand, but to those monied in this country, who, through supporting wars to leverage expropriation of foreign resources, profit immensely.

There are moments when I really wish I had less of a "jaundiced eye", when looking at geopolitical events unfolding all over the globe, and could be slightly more optimistic about the future of humankind; unfortunately, logic, and the sheer weight of the bad decisions this US government continues to make, render optimism impossible, under such circumstances.

FLASHBACK: The Murder of Rachel Corrie

Rachel Corrie was said to be a very sweet girl. A 1999 graduate of Capital High School in Olympia, Washington, her teachers described her as "bright and intelligent, idealistic, a star student, always smiling, a young person who unselfishly was always thinking of others."

At Evergreen University, where she attended for three years, close friends said that Rachel was very trusting. She consistently looked for the best in people and just knew there was good in everyone.

Rachel was mistaken. Not everyone is good. Some people, in fact, are just plain evil. Some people are murderers. And sometimes, an entire nation can be persuaded, through satanic philosophies, maniacal religion and political ideology, to engage in heinous criminal acts and genocidal atrocities.

Rove's Reality

How could Rove’s predictions so totally materialize? There’s a simple answer: ‘they’ got away with momentous lies at an early stage. The more authorities lie successfully the more they are likely to lie again in a big way to serve the purposes of earlier lies. The ‘they’ stands for those individuals and groups in the power system who operate beyond legal limits as a hydra-headed entity, whose coordination depends on the project, campaign, mission, or operation at hand. Those with much power got away with excessive extralegal use of it since the beginning of this century because systems of holding the powerful to account have crumbled on both sides of the Atlantic. Hence, potential opposition to what the reality architects were doing dwindled to almost nothing. At the same time, people whose job or personal inclination leads them to ferret out truth were made to feel guilty for pursuing it.

Chuck Baldwin - This is ZOG (Zionist Occupational Gov't.)

While US troops are fighting Israel's wars abroad, the homeland has been conquered not by arms, but by money. How should Americans respond to being subjugated?

by Chuck Baldwin
(Abridged by henrymakow.com)
. The entire political debate in America centers on the left-right paradigm. If you are a Republican, Democrats are the enemy; if you are a Democrat, Republicans are the enemy. The entire political world revolves around this notion.

It's all a game, a façade, a hoax.

Here's how it works: When the ruling class wants to focus on building a socialist Welfare state, dismantling traditional cultural and religious norms and enacting gun control, it puts liberal Democrats in power. And when it wants to focus on building the Warfare State and creating foreign enemies for the purpose of expanding the "war on terror" and a global surveillance state, it puts conservative Republicans in charge.

2/7/20 Danny Sjursen on America’s Coming Battle for Eurasia

Danny Sjursen is back for part two of his conversation with Scott about America’s foreign policy disasters, this time focusing on what Sjursen calls “the coming battle for Eurasia.” According to an old theory of geopolitics, the power that controls central Eurasia—that is, eastern Europe and parts of the Middle East, with all its natural resources and strategic position—will be the dominant global hegemon. Obviously, certain figures in the American government would like to be in that position. The problem, Sjursen points out, is that America is way too far away to have any business trying to do this, especially while countries like Russia and China might have an interest in trying to stop us. He says that based on his experience in the military, people seem to think the U.S. could wage a conventional war with tanks, infantry, and aircraft carriers against other world powers, without resorting to nuclear weapons.

NETANYAHU “OPTIMISTIC” ISRAEL CAN USE POLITICAL PRESSURE TO SHUT DOWN ICC WAR CRIMES PROBE

SOURCE: MINT PRESS
TEL AVIV — Since the International Criminal Court (ICC) announced it would investigate war crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank last December, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been attempting to rally Israel’s allies in a multilateral effort to stop the ICC’s probe.

Those efforts have now left Netanyahu “optimistic,” with the embattled Prime Minister reportedly telling members of his cabinet that Israel’s efforts to lobby other countries against the ICC case is paying off, according to a recent report published by Reuters. “We are struggling against this [proceeding] and, at our side, I must say, are many friends around the world [which] joined the U.S. in a steadfast stand alongside Israel,” Reuters quoted Netanyahu as saying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Israel has utterly nothing to hide, in terms of its treatment of Palestinians, why, then is it so terrified of this ICC probe?!?

Is it possible (gasp) that there is some kind of "smoking gun" in the evidence the ICC has garnered, which is going to really make Israel look bad and rotten, should it come to light in the legal process of discovery?!?

The short answer has to be, "HELL, yes!!!", for Netanyahu to be taking such extraordinary steps to shut this investigation down.

Trump Issues Pardon for Ex-NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik

As with so many “news media” reports now it’s what is NOT REPORTED that is the real news. The following is a case in point. Whether intentional or not, key elements are missing in the NBC report and they constitute the pivotal point in the following story.

Comment – JuneBug1415 on Reddit
Bernard Kerik accepted a “loan” of $250k from Israel billionaire when meeting with Israel to discuss counter-terrorism 2 weeks before 9/11. And oh yea, he was the police commissioner that oversaw 9/11, was pardoned today.
Today Trump has granted clemency or pardoned 11 people all convicted of corruption. But the one that bothers me the most is Kerik.
He accepted a $250,000 interest-free “loan” from Israeli billionaire Eitan Wertheimer and failed to report it. Kerik first met the billionaire, whose vast holdings include major defense contractors, when Kerik took a four-day trip to Israel less than two weeks before September 11, 2001 to discuss counter-terrorism with Israeli officials.

Trump & The Masonic Jewish Tag Team

This article from Jan 17, 2017, is looking increasingly prescient.

Trump belongs to the Zionist faction. Does this portend another world war?

By Henry Makow Ph.D.

What is Donald Trump's place in the big picture?

Trump is a Freemason and probably a crypto Jew. He is surrounded by Jews. The Masonic Jewish (Illuminati) goal is the reduction of the human race (goyim) to the status of domestic animals serving them. We see this emergent pattern in the gross disparities of wealth in today's world.

The Illuminati advance this agenda through mind control (mass media, education) and war. They can't subjugate humanity alone; they need the goyim to destroy each other.

Erdogan’s Excellent Syrian Adventure

by Daniel Lazare Posted on February 19, 2020

What’s a political strongman to do when his economy is weak and another round of financial turbulence is on the way? When political support is languishing and a series of budget-busting construction projects has people shaking their head in dismay?

The answer is obvious: he invades another country in order to distract attention and give his poll numbers a boost. Better yet, he invades two countries and then travels to a third in order to make highly bellicose comments about a forth. Then while the press back home buzzes with excitement, he folds his hands and prays that somehow it will all work out.

Can the World’s Second Superpower Rise From the Ashes of Twenty Years of War

February 15 marks the day, 17 years ago, when global demonstrations against the pending Iraq invasion were so massive that the New York Times called world public opinion “the second superpower.” But the U.S. ignored it and invaded Iraq anyway. So what has become of the momentous hopes of that day?

The U.S. military has not won a war since 1945, unless you count recovering the tiny colonial outposts of Grenada, Panama and Kuwait, but there is one threat it has consistently outmaneuvered without firing more than a few deadly rifle shots and some tear gas. Ironically, this existential threat is the very one that could peacefully cut it down to size and take away its most dangerous and expensive weapons: its own peace-loving citizens.

For the benefit of readers who haven’t heard this before; Erdogan is juggling being a Turkish Muslim reformer who parades under the photos of Turkish secular anti-Muslim nation-builder Mustafa Kemal; an EU-aspiring member and also an aspiring global Sunni leader; an ally of Israel as well as Hamas; an Islamist who is also at odds with the Wahhabi Islamists; a nationalist Turk who wants to curb Kurdish aspirations not only in Syria and Iraq but also in Turkey; a Sunni leader who wants to restore the Sultanate and Caliphate and the fundamentalist Sunni version of anti-Shiite Islam but is also a friend of Shiite Iran; a NATO member with a special relationship with America, and a special friend and ally of Russia.

Into The Inferno: 75 Years On, The Most Horrifically Vivid Account of The Allied Bombing of Dresden

During the final months of World War II, from February 13 to 15, 1945, Allied forces bombed the ancient, cathedral city of Dresden, in eastern Germany.

The bombing was controversial because Dresden's contribution to the war effort was minimal compared with other German cities — though it was a key transport junction and used by German forces to defend the country against Soviet forces approaching from the east.

Before the huge air raid, it had not suffered a major Allied attack. By February 15, however, it was a smouldering ruin — 2,400 tons of high explosives and 1,500 tons of incendiary bombs were dropped on the city. An unknown number of civilians, somewhere between 35,000 and 135,000, were dead.

‘NY Times’ covers up annexation plan scheme to ‘denationalize’ 350,000 Palestinian citizens of Israel

The U.S. mainstream media, with the New York Times in the lead, is covering up a shocking feature of the Netanyahu/Trump annexation plan that would strip 350,000 to 400,000 Palestinian citizens of Israel of their citizenship. The “denationalization” proposal is a crime against humanity, but the American press is ignoring it.

Thabet Abu Rass lives in the affected area, a predominately Palestinian part of northeast Israel known as “The Triangle,” where he heads an organization devoted to promoting peace between Israel’s Jewish and Arab citizens. Here’s how he translated the denationalization proposal:

Just imagine if today Donald Trump would tell Hispanic Americans living in the southwest, in territories annexed to the United States from Mexico in the 19th century, that they are Mexican citizens now and no longer American citizens. . . That is exactly what they are trying to do to us.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To those who have been following the Israeli/Palestinian struggle for some time now, it should come as absolutely zero shock, that Israel essentially gets everything out of the alleged "deal of the century", while Palestinians get nothing, except more marginalization.

This area that was the cultural pinacle of historic Germany and the Third Reich has become a parking lot. I think there is a song that goes something like that. American Citizens Killed and Tortured by Israel?

One of the principal functions of a United States Embassy overseas is to provide citizen services, which includes coming to the assistance of Americans who are treated badly by the local government. It is a responsibility that most embassies take seriously, with the exception of the facility currently located in Jerusalem.

America’s current ambassador, former Trump bankruptcy lawyer David Friedman, has funded Israel’s illegal settlements, which did not in any way complicate his confirmation as nearly everyone in Congress and the White House does not believe that the Palestinians actually are human beings.

What the U.S. Embassy under Friedman will not do is put any real pressure on the Israeli government if its security forces or rampaging settlers kill, beat, maim or torture an American citizen, especially if said citizen happens to be of Palestinian descent.

More footage from the February 12 standoff between a US patrol and Syrian villagers and soldiers in the village of Khirbet Amo in northeastern Syria. The standoff eventually resulted in

the Americans killing one of the villagers,
the Syrians opening rifle fire on armored US vehicles,

and the Americans in the end nonetheless retreating and going back to base.

– “Wherever the US goes it brings death and destruction, you are not welcome here.”

Understanding why they lie and why they get away with it

Is there really anybody out there who will deny that the US government lies pretty much about everything and anything?. And it’s not just the Executive Branch, Congress lies possibly even more (both parties, of course). In fact, I would argue that lying is both necessary AND expected from any US politician. When somebody like Tulsi Gabbard or Ron Paul don’t abide by this rule, the media immediately dismisses them as “Putin agents” or something equally insipid.

The truth is that lies have become the norm of the western political discourse.

That is bad enough by itself. But there is worse.

The worst is not that western politicians lie, the worst is that almost nobody cares.

That is really scary.

Why?

The Suicidal Empire

There are a lot of behaviors being exhibited by those in positions of power in the US that seem disparate and odd. We watch Trump who is imposing sanctions on country after country, dreaming of eradicating his country’s structural trade deficit with the rest of the world. We watch pretty much all of US Congress falling over each other in their attempt to impose the harshest possible sanctions on Russia. People in Turkey, a key NATO country, are literally burning US dollars and smashing iPhones in a fit of pique. Confronted with a new suite of Russian and Chinese weapons systems that largely neutralize the ability of the US to dominate the world militarily, the US is setting new records in the size of its already outrageously bloated yet manifestly ineffectual defense spending.

More Lies on Iran: The White House Just Can’t Help Itself as New Facts Emerge

The public that actually follows the news might recall a little more than one month ago the United States assassinated a senior Iranian official named Qassem Soleimani. Openly killing someone in the government of a country with which one is not at war is, to say the least, unusual, particularly when the crime is carried out in yet another country with which both the perpetrator and the victim have friendly relations.

It soon emerged that the Iranian was in fact in Baghdad to discuss with the Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi a plan that might lead to the de-escalation of the ongoing conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran, a meeting that the White House apparently knew about may even have approved. If that is so, events as they unfolded suggest that the U.S. government might have encouraged Soleimani to make his trip so he could be set up and killed.

Dems Phony War Powers Resolution

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

US 20th and 21st century history shows Dems more hellbent for war than Republicans.

In 1916, Dem Woodrow Wilson was reelected on a pledge of: “He Kept Us Out of War.”

Straightaway, he began planning US involvement in Europe’s war — today called WW I.

Propaganda his regime sponsored transformed pacifist Americans into raging German haters. Wilson got the war he wanted.

The same goes for Dem Franklin Roosevelt. From 1933 to late 1941, he spurned Japanese peace overtures that would have protected US interests in the Pacific.

By executive order, he froze Japanese assets. He waged economic war on the country, goading its ruling authorities to retaliate.

In late November 1941, US war secretary Henry Stimson said war depended only on how to maneuver Japan to attack with the lowest number of US casualties.

Regime Change wars have no basis in International Law.

A Syrian checkpoint denied entry to a US patrol near the village of Kherbet Ammo in al-Qamishli. The patrol consisted of 5 armored personnel carriers. When the US patrol threatened that they will pass by force, a group of local citizens opened machine-gun fire against the US patrol. When the US soldiers opened fire against the Syrian citizens, the SAA's checkpoint members deployed defensively and opened fire to cover the civilians in the area.

US troops clash with pro-government group in northeast Syria

DAMASCUS -- A Syrian was killed and another was wounded when government supporters attacked American troops and tried to block their way as their convoy drove through an army checkpoint in northeastern Syria, prompting a rare clash, state media and activists reported.

The U.S. military said its force came under fire, and that troops responded in self-defense. It said an investigation of the incident was underway.

Syrian state-run media said the man killed was a civilian and that he was among residents of a village east of the town of Qamishli who had gathered at the checkpoint and pelted the U.S. convoy with stones.

The United States of America’s Doll House: A Vast Tapestry of Lies and Illusions

“It never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn’t happening. It didn’t matter. It was of no interest. The crimes of the United States have been systematic, constant, vicious, remorseless, but very few people have actually talked about them. You have to hand it to America. It has exercised a quite clinical manipulation of power worldwide while masquerading as a force for universal good. It’s a brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis.” – Harold Pinter’s Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech, 2005

Americans need to know about the horrors of life in Gaza

Democratic presidential candidates should stop trying to figure out how to appeal to Trump voters, moderates, conservatives, independents and anyone else who is “on the fence.” If anyone is seriously “on the fence” these days, they’re either playing you or morally bankrupt.

I am a mother, physician, small business owner and yoga teacher. I deeply care about the future of the world and our country.

I travel to Gaza as often as I am allowed in by Israel. I work in various clinics throughout Gaza offering medical education, mental health care and yoga classes for trauma survivors (everyone in Gaza is a trauma survivor).

In July 2017 I even took my 10-year-old daughter to Gaza as an International Student Ambassador in the annual United Nations Gaza Summer Fun Weeks Camp.

Will President Rodrigo Duterte End US Occupation of the Philippines?

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Throughout the post-WW II era, the US sought unchallenged control over Asian nations, their resources and populations — what Obama’s 2011 Asia pivot was and remains all about.

It involves advancing Washington’s military footprint in a part of the world not its own, aiming to contain, weaken and isolate China and North Korea, wanting Russia checked at the same time in East Asia and Europe.

Washington’s global empire of bases is key to advancing its imperium — parts of it used as platforms for endless wars against nations threatening no one.

Yet there’s little or no coverage of what costs US taxpayers trillions of dollars in the post-WW II era.
