Federal agent alleges U.S. misconduct, cover-up in Bundy Ranch trial

A federal investigator is alleging prosecutors in the Bundy Ranch standoff trial covered up misconduct by law enforcement agents who engaged in "likely policy, ethical and legal violations."

In an 18-page memo to the Assistant U.S. Attorney General, Special Agent Larry Wooten said he "routinely observed ... a widespread pattern of bad judgment, lack of discipline, incredible bias, unprofessionalism and misconduct" among agents involved in the 2014 armed standoff.

He said his investigation indicated federal agents engaged in excessive force, civil rights and policy violations.

Time for the GOP to rally to President Trump and the agenda that won 2016

As evidenced by the outcomes of both the Virginia gubernatorial race and the Alabama Senate special election, no matter what, Democrat voters are going to be extremely motivated in 2018 to take back Congress.

For, this is no time to panic.

Instead, it is time for Republicans to rally to President Trump and the agenda that won the election in 2016. That is, cut taxes, repeal Obamacare, appoint conservative judges, get better trade deals, slash regulations, curb illegal immigration and build the southern border wall. Also, no bad deals on DACA amnesty. The wall is not enough; chain migration has to be ended.

The Enemy Within – Justin Raimondo

It’s called the “intelligence community”

Of course it was the purest coincidence that no less than three major media outlets got the Trump email story wrong. Yes, those “multiple sources” sure were busy.

It’s absurd to think that this episode is a case of simply getting it wrong: this was undoubtedly a deliberate lie, planted in the media by the same rogue “intelligence community” that invented Russia-gate. It didn’t matter that the truth would eventually come out: look at how many times the original story was tweeted and retweeted over social media, and then consider how many people don’t know it’s been debunked.

In a tweet this morning, WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, made a prescient observation that the ongoing deep state coup against President Trump is an operation by establishment forces to unseat Trump and replace him with Vice President Mike Pence. Assange noted that Trump’s political capital has “been openly looted for months now by GOP, CIA, Netanyahu, Goldman Sachs, etc.”

Essentially, Assange is saying is that the aforementioned stakeholders who want to see Trump gone have played a long-game, whereby they have worked “to extract as many unpopular positions as possible (e.g tax cuts for the super rich), push the resulting political corpse to Mueller & install Mike Pence.”

From Iran with Love

The Iranians are giving their missiles to groups using them to attack an international civilian airport in a G-20 country. Is anyone going to do something about it?

Nikki Haley on Thursday presented what she described as undeniable evidence that Iran is supplying arms to militants in Yemen and charged that Tehran is fueling conflict in Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria—activities that she said fly in the face of United Nations resolutions.

The U.N. ambassador stood in front of a large, orange-black recovered missile and other weapons debris, gathered from military attacks, that she said “might as well have had ‘made in Iran’ stickers all over” them.

Kushner and Saudi Crown Prince… the Wunderkinds Wreak Havoc

Trump’s rash declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is so out of whack with global opinion and decades of international legal rulings, one has to surmise that the initiative stems from dubious inspiration.

Turns out that the likely authors of the harebrained idea are Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner (36), and 32-year-old Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MbS).

Kushner, a dodgy property dealer with no diplomatic experience, is Trump’s unelected top aide, assigned to seal the “deal of the century” – meaning bring peace between the Palestinians and Israelis.

Like the Saudi Crown Prince, with whom Kushner is said to be close friends, the two neophytes think of themselves as “creative innovators”. Wunderkinds.

‘Netanyahu is calling shots as US beats drums of war vs Iran' – CIA veteran

The US envoy to the UN, Nikki Haley, was dancing to Israel’s tune by calling for a Western coalition against Iran while posing in front of the wreckage of a missile, former CIA officer Ray McGovern told RT, saying the spectacle was aimed at distracting attention from Yemen.

“I think that Netanyahu is calling the shots. Look, Jerusalem has just been recognized as the capital of Israel, Nikki Haley is getting on this bandwagon. She sees this as being very propitious for her, politically,” McGovern said.

Next Year In Jerusalem

***
When the Trump administration announced plans to comply with longstanding U.S. law and move — someday — the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, the country’s capital, the Arabs went nuts, but not quite as nuts as the Turks would have liked: Turkish strongman Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticized what he sees as a weak Arab response to the Trump administration’s non-initiative initiative. Turkey has its own game, and Palestinian upheaval would suit Erdogan just fine.

There were apocalyptic intimations, but in reality the response was more or less what one would expect, and if the Olympic committee ever recognizes rock-throwing as a legitimate sport, the Palestinian people will finally have found their national calling.

White House Accuses Abbas of ‘Preventing Peace’ With Criticism

One week after President Trump declared Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel, pretty much the entire planet has had the opportunity to comment on the matter, and they have, apart from Israel, uniformly criticized Trump’s move as a threat to peace efforts.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was, unsurprisingly, among the first to criticize Trump’s move, questioning how the US could possibly be the broker for peace after such a declaration on a key final status issue. The White House, reflecting their recent strategy of angry outbursts at anyone who publicly disagrees with them, is condemning Abbas on Wednesday, accusing him of having “prevented peace for years.”

The White House added that Trump remains “committed” to reaching a peace deal in Israel-Palestine, despite the Jerusalem move, and present Abbas’ resistance as the sort of thing that has “prevented peace for decades.”

Fisk: Trump Says Recognising Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel Will Bring Peace – it Will do Quite the Opposite

Goodbye Palestine. Goodbye the two-state solution. Goodbye the Palestinians. For this new Israeli “capital” is not for them. Trump did not even use the word “Palestine”. He talked about “Israel and the Palestinians” – in other words, of a state and of those who do not deserve – and can no longer aspire to – a state. No wonder I received a call in Beirut last night from a Palestinian woman who had just listened to the Trump destruction of the “peace process”. “Remember Kingdom of Heaven?” she asked me, referring to Ridley Scott’s great movie of the 1187 fall of Jerusalem. “Well it’s now the Kingdom of Hell.”

Jerusalem Decision Rubber-Stamps 70 Years of Israeli Violations

For Arabs and Muslims worldwide, Jerusalem has become a powerful symbol representing a century of betrayal by the West

President Donald Trump’s decision to formally recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital was irresponsible and dangerous for more reasons than I can count. Let me outline just a few of the principle concerns.

While we have all grown weary of hearing the overused mantra “this is the end of the peace process,” Trump’s decision may, in fact, be the nail in the coffin for any negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In the first place, there is no peace process. It has been replaced, instead, by a breath-holding exercise with Israelis and Palestinians waiting for Trump aides to cook up “the deal of the century.” It is presumed that when “the deal” is presented negotiations will begin.

The unilateral American recognition of Jerusalem not only prejudges one of the conflicts most sensitive issues, it does so in Israel’s favor.>>>

Trump's Jerusalem move: 'A blunder with consequences'

President Donald Trump's decision to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem is a blunder driven by domestic US politics, but with international strategic consequences, Middle East analysts and former US diplomats say.

But last week, Trump announced that the US is formally recognising Jerusalem as Israel's capital and will begin the process of moving the US embassy to the city from Tel Aviv, raising doubts from the Palestinians, as well as Middle East analysts about the US' role as a broker of a potential peace deal.

The President Who Stole Christmas

President Trump stole our Christmas. And he did it standing in front of Christmas trees.

In what was an unusually polished speech (for him), President Trump announced the U.S. recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and has plans to relocate the U.S. embassy to there from Tel Aviv. We sat on our couch watching, our hearts pounding and our fists clenching, wondering whether it was ignorance, lunacy or plain hubris that drove him to make this announcement.

How can one man decide to take our historical capital away and give it to another country? How can he do that without acknowledging the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who live in Jerusalem? Who live in the city of their birth without access to services, without basic human rights, who live unacknowledged? What happens to them?

MIDDLE EAST IS ON VERGE OF NEW WAR FOLLOWING TRUMP’S RECOGNITION OF JERUSALEM AS ISRAEL’S CAPITAL

On November 28, SouthFront released a video analysis entitled “Would Anyone Profit From a New War in the Middle East?”. The video said that despite tensions in the region the possibility of a new war in in the near future was relatively low because no regional player was interested in it.

The only side, which could be interested in the conflict, was the United States. Such a war will contribute to interests of the US military industrial complex and lead to a growth of oil prices. High oil prices will impact positively the US shale oil production sector.

However, it was hard to expect developments, which took place last week. On December 6, US President Donald Trump officially recognized the city of Jerusalem as Israel’s true capital and declared an intent to move the US embassy there. The decision faced a condemnation from the regional powers and the international community and sparked a new round of violence between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

What Trump has done: The entire US-Middle East political framework just collapsed

Now that President of the United States, Donald Trump, has fully adopted the Israeli rightwing political discourse on Palestine, the Palestinian National Authority is in a very tough spot.

“I have determined that it is time to officially recognise occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” Trump said in Washington last Wednesday. The embattled president has done what many had asked him not to do. But the truth is, US foreign policy has been bankrupt for years. It was never fair, nor did it ever intend to be so.

Trump merely pulled the plug, not only on the so-called peace process, two-state solution, ‘land-for-peace formula’ but also all the other tired cliches that have been long dead and decomposing.

But Trump’s announcement has also laid to rest the illusion that the US was ever keen on achieving a just and lasting peace between Israel and its neighbours.

The Hidden Hands Behind US Embassy Move to Jerusalem

Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, all-but-abandoning America's commitment to a two-state solution, has its roots with the religious politics of Jared Kushner, Trump's Middle East adviser and son-in-law. Kushner, a favorite of both Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and pro-Netanyahu American casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson, has tapped for his Middle East "envoy" team two rabidly pro-Israeli expansion ideologues, US ambassador to Israel David Friedman and "Special Representative for International Negotiations" Jason Greenblatt.
