Consecutive UK governments have had no qualms about making huge NHS cuts. Numerous hospitals have been closed https://inews.co.uk/news/health/great-nhs-gamble-full-list-19-hospital..., and the number of hospital beds has dropped by nearly 80,000 between 2000 & 2019.

Allocating funds to conflicts such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria was deemed far more important.

In 2020 a "pandemic" arrived and the UK was shut down to "protect the NHS". The financial mismanagement of both Labour and the Conservatives is directly responsible for the resultant economic and medical carnage.
