Journalists in Chinese state media to be tested on loyalty to President Xi Jinping

About 10,000 reporters and editors in Beijing are expected to take ‘pilot tests’ next month using Xuexi Qiangguo mobile app.

Nationwide exams – with sections on Xi’s political thinking and Marxism – will be held later and press cards will only be issued to those who pass

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please do not believe, for one millisecond, that a number of powerful, corporate/politician-centric people here in the US, are not salivating, to have this same kind of "litmus test" done, to validate that everyone who calls themselves a "reporter" is completely on board with their country's leadership, even if that leadership is doing some things which will ultimately hurt that country, and greatly "injure" its economy.

I would like to politely suggest to China's President, that the citizens of the Unhinged, surveilled, State of Amerika, have a name for this kind of behaviour from alleged journalists/bloggers; this... is called "brown=nosing", and I am absolutely confident that you won't need a translator, or Chinese/English dictionary for a translation
on this, with your fine command of English.

We are often told, that truth is the first casualty of war; but before that war, truth becomes the first casualty of dictatorships, like the one you are ultimately preparing for your successor.

And I will guarantee you one thing, President Xi Jinping; when all the news comes from one dedicated source, if it is in paper format, your people will ultimately use it for wrapping fish, because they understand that the State's propaganda... and the reality of their lives, are light-years apart.

If their "sole source propaganda" comes as "readable, downloadable" from their computers, there will be systems developed, covertly, which will completely render the hard-drive unusable, so that nothing, ultimately, is saved, including, of course, blacklisted news, and party propaganda, so no one can be politically, or actually crucified, for telling the truth as they see it.

The future of your country seems to be getting slowly shaped, by something I would characterize as an "harmonic dissonance" between China's leadership and China's people; and Sir, this new decree of yours is profoundly disappointing.
