Israel: police work in league with crime lords, say victims of gun violence

Israeli police officers have been accused of working in league with crime lords and not caring about the death of Palestinians as anger grows over their failure to get to grips with gun crime in mainly Arab towns within the occupation state. At least 93 people have been the victim of gun violence since the start of 2021.

Victims' families and activists have begun to speak out and direct their frustration at the Israeli police. They claim that the killing of Palestinians in Arab cities is a very low priority, and if the police took the death of Palestinians as seriously as prison breaks they could very easily arrest those responsible for the killings.

Over 70 children among hundreds of Palestinians injured by Israeli forces in West Bank

More than 500 Palestinians, including over 70 children, were wounded as a result of attacks by Israeli armed forces over the past two weeks in the West Bank, a UN report has revealed.

A biweekly report published by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said 568 people, amongst them 73 children, were injured in assaults carried out by Israeli authorities.

It said out of those, 320 were wounded during demonstrations against Israeli settlement activities in the Nablus district.

Despite being illegal under international law, Israel has insisted that it will keep building settlements in the West Bank, large areas of which fall under its control.

Almost half a million people live in these settlements, alongside 2.8 million Palestinians.

Phones of 5 French ministers said infected with malware from Israel’s NSO Group

The mobile phones of at least five French ministers and a diplomatic advisor to President Emmanuel Macron were infected by the Israeli-made Pegasus spyware, sources told AFP on Friday, confirming a report by the Mediapart investigative website.

French security services detected the software while inspecting the phones, with the intrusions believed to have taken place in 2019 and 2020, according to the report from Mediapart on Friday.

Pegasus, made by the Israeli firm NSO Group, can switch on a phone’s camera or microphone and harvest its data, and was at the center of a storm in July after a list of about 50,000 potential surveillance targets worldwide was leaked to the media.

‘Bizarrely huge’ Nazi flag ‘flown by Palestinians’ makes skeptics cry ‘Photoshop’ (it was not)

Many commenters cried foul after an image of an enormous-looking Nazi flag flying over a Palestinian town in the West Bank was shared by pro-Israeli accounts. It apparently was a trick of perspective, not poor Photoshop skills.

One can see how the photo, which was reportedly taken in the town of Beit Ummar, could challenge someone’s suspension of disbelief. The swastika-decorated flag shown in it looks huge in comparison to houses in the background and appears to be unnaturally stuck between power lines. So, skeptical commenters rushed to point out what they saw as glaring inconsistencies when the image was shared this weekend on social media.

This image was altered from its original form. They neglected to edit out one of three wires. This is deliberately misleading. For shame. @[email protected]/NBPKwRkilR

'F**k Them': Carlson Responds to Yet Another Call to Fire Him Over 'Great Replacement' Theory

The highly popular Fox News host has faced criticism in the past for peddling a "racist" theory that the Democratic Party is actively supporting immigration to the US and thus attracting new votes to its side.

Anti-Defamation League (ADL) chief executive, Jonathan Greenblatt, has renewed his calls for Fox News to fire successful host Tucker Carlson over promoting a purportedly racist theory called "great replacement" on his show, with the Council on American Islamic Relations backing the proposal. While the channel kindly rejected such suggestions, when the ADL made them in the past, Carlson himself has been more forthright this time around:

Financial Disclosures Reveal Jen Psaki was Employed by an Israeli Spying Firm

In July, the exposure of the Israel-based NSO Group's Pegasus spyware shined new light on the scope of the Israeli government's vast spying network. The State of Israel itself licensed the sale of the spyware to foreign governments, private enterprises, and criminal organizations alike. This licensing enabled the impact of Pegasus covert surveillance to target journalists, foreign governments, and elected officials. To put its impact into perspective, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was revealed to have used Pegasus to spy on Jamal Kashoggi preceding his execution in Turkey, Mexican drug cartels employed it to target journalists exposing their crimes, and its use by the Moroccan government led to the revelation that they successfully targeted French President Emmanual Macron by tapping into a cellphone he has used since 2017.

New GOP bill would keep illegal settlement products labeled ‘Made in Israel’

New legislation by Republicans in the US House of Representatives seeks to reinforce the Trump-era instruction to label products of Judea and Samaria “Made in Israel.” [“Judea and Samaria” is the whitewashed nickname for the Palestinian West Bank, the majority of which (82%) is partially or fully controlled by Israel and de facto annexed by Israel – in violation of international law.]

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-New York), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, was set to introduce what she called the Anti-BDS Labeling Act on Thursday, meant to stop the Biden administration from reversing the instruction from former US secretary of state Mike Pompeo in the final months of the Trump administration.

Former State Department chief of staff Lawrence Wilkerson says Israel will be “gone” in 20 years

Retired Army Col. Lawrence Wilkerson is the former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell who emerged as a leading critic of the neoconservatives. In remarks to Mass Peace Action last June, he made some bracing assertions about Israel that I just saw the other day:

Israel won’t exist as a state in 20 years because it is delegitimizing itself as an apartheid state.

Israel is a “strategic liability of the first order” for the United States and is “the most likely state in the world to take the United States to Armageddon.”

The U.S. ought to tell Israel now to “change swiftly” or it will cease to fund and protect Israel, but the U.S. will not do so.

The neoconservative agenda in the Middle East was “to set the Levant on fire, to keep Israel’s enemies so at one anothers’ throats” that they could not give Israel trouble.

‘NYT’ glorifies an Israeli war crime, with reporting by AIPAC’s friend Bergman

Here we go again. The New York Times just ran a long, gee-whiz article about an Israeli war crime — the murder of an Iranian scientist inside Iran last year– penned by its Israeli security expert, Ronen Bergman. “The Scientist and the A.I.-Assisted Remote-Control Killing Machine“, by Ronen Bergman and Farnaz Fassihi is filled with awe-inspiring details of the methods Israel employed to kill Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a top Iranian nuclear scientist, at the wheel of his car outside Tehran last November 27.

The killing was of course an act of war, and one aimed at destroying the Iran deal for good in the last weeks of the Trump administration. The European Union condemned the killing at the time: “This is a criminal act and runs counter to the principle of respect for human rights the EU stands for.”

Pfizer Admits Israel Is the Great COVID-19 Vaccine Experiment

Pfizer admits it’s treating Israel as a unique “laboratory” to assess COVID jab effects. Whatever happens in Israel can reliably be expected to happen elsewhere, months later

Pfizer entered into an exclusivity agreement with the Israeli Ministry of Health, so the only COVID shot available is Pfizer’s. The Pfizer shot has a higher risk for heart inflammation among young men than some of the other COVID shots, but Israeli youth have no option but to get the most dangerous one

Pfizer’s shot went from a 95% effectiveness in December 2020 to 39% by late July when the Delta strain became predominant in Israel. In response to obvious vaccine failure, Israel started giving out third boosters at the end of July 2021

Vaccine failure is also evident in Israeli data showing fully vaccinated are at higher risk of severe illness when infected with SARS-CoV-2 or any of its variants than unvaccinated, and now make up the bulk of COVID-related hospitalizations and deaths

Hoyer told Lapid the money would be transferred 'in the near future.'

Feature: Childhood in shadow of Gaza-Israel conflict

Mohammed Shaaban, a Palestinian child from the village of Beit Lahia in Gaza Strip, used to play with his siblings and friends for many hours a day.

However, the 8-year-old child has lost his passion for playing as he became disabled and now needs assistance even in the most basic activities, including using a bathroom.

Israel and Gaza's Hamas fought a 11-day-long fighting in May, the most intense round since 2014 that left more than 250 Palestinians and 13 Israelis dead. During the wave of fierce fighting, Israeli warplanes carried out hundreds of air raids on the Gaza Strip. Palestinian armed factions in Gaza fired thousands of rockets at Israel.

Shaaban was wounded on the first day of the hostilities when the Israeli war jets attacked a man driving motorbike in Jabalia in the north of the coastal enclave. While Shaaban and his mother were walking in the street as they finished shopping for Eid al-Fitr, a festive dinner that marks the end of the Ramadan fast.

Two final Palestinian escapees 'beaten, tortured' by Israeli forces during arrests: reportMENA

Israel attempted to kill the last two Palestinian Gilboa Prison escapees while they were on the run, later torturing them during their rearrest, a lawyer with the Palestinian Authority's prisoners' agency claimed following a visit.

With their arrests, all six detainees have now been arrested again after two weeks of embarrassment for Israeli forces.

The two Palestinian detainees, Ayham Kamamji and Munadil Infaat, said they were first fired on in Israel's northern Afula city area, according to Munther Abu Ahmed, a Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees' Affairs (CDA) lawyer representing Kamamji.

This occurred on the same day as their escape, The New Arab's Arabic-language sister service, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed said, though a report from Anadolu Agency suggested this happened the day after.

Reflections on the 39th anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre

The steadfastness and courage of Sabra and Shatila are in all of our hearts. Today, we commemorate the cruel injustice inflicted on the Palestinians in the massacre of 1982, knowing that this is just one of the continuous assaults on Palestinians since 1948. We resolve to continue to be with you all in your difficult journey in solidarity, hope and love, knowing that one day, the freedom and peace stolen from the Palestinian people for all these years will be won back through your struggle. We commemorate with tears, but pledge our commitment to this struggle with all our strength and lives. We know that the day will come when our children's laughter will be the reward of years of sacrifice and endurance.

In June 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon. It bombed Lebanon by land, air and sea, and laid siege to Beirut. Israel killed and wounded thousands of innocent people and made at least 100,000 homeless within a few weeks. Beirut city was denied electricity, medicine, food and water.

Political Commentator Kim Iversen Unpacks ‘Alarming and Shocking’ COVID Data from Israel

Political talk show host Kim Iversen, on a segment of the Kim Iversen Show Wednesday, called the latest COVID data coming out of Israel “alarming and shocking.”

Iversen reminded viewers that Israel was nearly fully vaccinated by February, after striking a deal with Pfizer to make its citizens “essentially … a giant study group.”

“They have very high vaccination rates in the country,” Iversen said. “Kids are still not vaccinated. There are some super ultra-Orthodox holdouts, but otherwise everybody in Israel banded together and they took the Pfizer vaccine — two doses.”

But by summer, Iversen said, Israel health officials determined the vaccine had worn off. “They saw skyrocketing numbers of cases, even after they’d hit this so-called herd immunity threshold of 70%.”

Think Facebook's review will fix alleged Israeli bias? Not so fast, say Palestinians

alestinian digital rights advocates have welcomed Facebook's Oversight Board's call for an independent review into alleged bias in the tech giant's moderation of Palestinian and Israeli posts.

But not so fast, they say. While the review is long overdue, the platform still has a way to go before it is moderated fairly and transparently, and it remains to be seen if the company will act on the board's recommendations.

The board's report, released last week, came after an uproar in May when Facebook, Instagram (also owned by the tech giant) and Twitter were accused of censoring Palestinians and their supporters following the removal of hundreds of pro-Palestinian posts, often without explanation.

It wasn’t the first time the social media platforms, their moderators and algorithms have been accused of stifling the free speech of Palestinians.

The Palestinian landowners, including Mariam, were scheduled to enter their land on Saturday, 30 years after it was confiscated to build the illegal settlement of Ofra.

Israel: communications company hit by major cyberattack

An unidentified hacker, known only as Deus, has revealed on an internet forum that he has hacked into the systems of the giant Israeli communications firm Voicenter and stolen 15 terabytes of data, local media reported on Monday. The hacker put the information up for sale, posting hundreds of examples of the private data that he has taken.

Ynet News said that the major cyberattack hit Voicenter on Saturday. The attack paralysed the communications systems of a number of firms that receive services from the company. It added that software giant Check Point, mobile network operator Partner, Mobileye, Expon, we4G, SimilarWeb, AllJobs, and Gett are among the companies that work with Voicenter.

The company sent SMS messages to its clients on Sunday, saying that the perpetrators of the attack were "hackers from abroad." However, Voicenter claimed that the attack did not affect its work. "As far as we know, the incident did not entail any information leaks."

Israel's economy not ready to deal with Iran cyberattacks

Commenting on Russian-Iranian cooperation on cybersecurity, founder and CEO of Israeli cyber consultation firm Konfidas Digital Ltd, Ram Levi, said Israel's economy is not ready for Iranian cyberattacks, Rai Al-Youm reported yesterday.

The UAE-based online newspaper reported Levi telling the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth that the Russian-Iranian deal would largely reinforce Iran's protection from cyberattacks, as well as Iran's ability to carry out cyberattacks.

According to Levi, the deal would give Iran abilities it did not have before. "What is worrying for us is that Russia and Iran will at a certain point have intelligence cooperation and how to carry out attacks. This will strengthen Iran."

Report: Iranian Nuclear Scientist Slain with Remote-control Robot Gun

Iran’s top nuclear scientist was assassinated by Israel’s national intelligence agency using a high-tech remote-controlled machine gun, according to a report published Saturday in the New York Times.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was shot on Nov. 27, 2020, while driving his Nissan Teana between a vacation home on the Caspian Sea and a country house and the town of Absard, where he planned to spend the weekend with his wife, according to the report.

Iranian agents working for Israel had parked a blue Nissan Zamyad pickup truck on the side of the road with a 7.62-mm sniper machine gun hidden among decoy construction materials.

An assassin with the Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, fired the gun at Fakhrizadeh. The assassin was more than 1,000 miles away using an advanced robot to operate the weapon that was smuggled into the country in small pieces.

Health Ministry chief says coronavirus spread reaching record heights

Health Ministry Director-General Nachman Ash said Tuesday that the current wave of coronavirus infections is surpassing anything seen in previous outbreaks and that he is disappointed that a recent downward trend appeared to be reversing.

Ash’s remarks via video call to the Knesset Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee came as Health Ministry figures showed that over 10,000 new COVID-19 cases were diagnosed the day before and that the positive test rate was climbing.

Pointing out that there is an average of 8,000 new infections each day, with occasional peaks over 10,000, he said, “That is a record that did not exist in the previous waves,” including the massive third wave at the end of last year.

From the ‘Iron Wall’ to the ‘Villa in the Jungle’: Palestinians Demolish Israel’s Security Myths

25 years before Israel was established on the ruins of historic Palestine, a Russian Jewish Zionist leader, Ze’ev Jabotinsky, argued that a Jewish state in Palestine could only survive if it exists "behind an iron wall" of defense.

Jabotinsky was speaking figuratively. However, future Zionist leaders, who embraced Jabotinsky’s teachings, eventually turned the principle of the iron wall into a tangible reality. Consequently, Israel and Palestine are now disfigured with endless barricades of walls, made of concrete and iron, which zigzag in and around a land that was meant to represent inclusion, spiritual harmony and co-existence.

"Israel" Seeks to Replace the US with China after Afghanistan Withdrawal

On August 28, 2021, "Israel’s" Prime Minister Naftali Bennet met with Biden’s administration to discuss how the United States expects "Israel" to act towards China. This comes a day after "Israel" inaugurated the Chinese-run Haifa port terminal which was leased to China for 25 years. On the same day, an opinion piece written by "Israel’s" former president Ehud Olmert appeared in the Jerusalem post, insisting that "Israel" should refuse US demands to cool relations with China. He expressed his worry that the US appears weak, and then in the next sentence, he felt obligated to insist that this had nothing to do with its withdrawal from Afghanistan. But reading between the lines the message is clear, the US is a falling empire, and rather than sink with the ship, "Israel" is preparing to jump to a new host.

Trump said Jared Kushner was 'more loyal to Israel than the US,' employing the dual loyalty trope against his Jewish son-in-law: book

Former President Donald Trump targeted his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, with off-color remarks suggesting he was more loyal to Israel than his home country — evoking an anti-Semitic trope in the process — during a White House meeting, according to Bob Woodward and Robert Costa's new book, "Peril."

"'You know,' Trump joked in another meeting, mocking his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who was raised in a modern Orthodox Jewish family and was working on Middle East peace, 'Jared's more loyal to Israel than the United States,'" Woodward and Costa wrote.

This was not the first time Trump has played into the dual loyalty trope or the anti-Semitic notion that Jewish Americans are more loyal to Israel than the US. "The charge of disloyalty has been used to harass, marginalize, and persecute the Jewish people for centuries," per the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

Covid Cases Explode In Heavily Pfizer Vaccinated Israel

Israel has 84% of its population aged 12 and up vaccinated.

Two days ago on Tuesday September 14, 2021, the Times of Israel reported that “the current wave of coronavirus infections is surpassing anything seen in previous outbreaks.” Health Ministry data “showed that 10,000 new covid cases were diagnosed in a single day.” And climbing. Instead of the predicted steady drop in outbreaks of new cases because of vaccination, the cases have exploded. Despite one of the highest rates of vaccination of all countries, Israel has the world’s largest number of Covid cases per capita. It is two times larger than the US per capita rate.

We can conclude from Israel’s experience that either the Pfizer vaccine does not protect against Covid, of which Israel seems to be heavily infected, or the vaccine causes Covid, or causes adverse reactions that are confused with Covid.

New Jersey Moves to Divest From Ben & Jerry’s Parent Company Over Israeli Settlement Ban

New Jersey is set to divest pension funds from the parent company of Ben & Jerry’s over the Vermont-based ice cream company’s decision to stop selling its product in illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

There are currently over 30 US states with laws against the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement that calls for international boycotts to put pressure on Israel over its war crimes against the Palestinians. The law prohibits the states from doing business with individuals or companies that boycott Israel.

New Jersey’s Division of Investment said Tuesday that it made a preliminary determination that keeping investments in Unilever, of which Ben & Jerry’s is a subsidiary, violates its anti-BDS laws. The state gave Unilever 90 days to convince Ben & Jerry’s to change the move.

Gantz Says Israel Could Accept a US Return to Iran Nuclear Deal

In an interview with Foreign Policy, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Israel could accept a revival of a US-negotiated Iran nuclear deal if there are backup plans that involve more sanctions and possible military actions.

“The current US approach of putting the Iran nuclear program back in a box, I’d accept that,” Gantz said when asked about the Biden administration’s Iran strategy. The comment signals a possible shift in Israel’s stance on the Iran nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA, although Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has repeatedly said he is opposed to a revival of the agreement.

Gantz said Israel wants to see a “viable US-led plan B” that includes more economic pressure if the talks fail, although Iran is already under an enormous amount of US sanctions. “Israel has no ability to lead a real plan B, we can’t put together an international economic sanctions regime. This has to be led by the US,” he said.

Who do they think they are? Israel tells US to ease off Saudi, Egypt human rights

Israeli officials warned the United States not to hold Saudi Arabia and Egypt accountable for human rights abuses, or else risk driving them into the arms of China, Russia, and Iran. This would contradict President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken’s pledge to “put human rights at the center of U.S. foreign policy.”

Israel need not worry: despite his campaign rhetoric lambasting Trump’s fondness for Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman and President Sisi, since taking office Biden has made few efforts to pressure the Saudi or Egyptian governments on human rights. Washington did pause the bonanza of weapons sales to Saudi Arabia, but then allowed certain sales to go through.

Prisoners recaptured: lawyer visits denied, allegations of torture and mistreatment

After one of the most dramatic prison escapes in Palestinian history, four of the six political prisoners who escaped a maximum security Israeli prison last week were recaptured over the weekend.

The four prisoners, Zakaria Zubeidi, Mohammed Qassem Ardah, Mahmoud Abdullah Ardah and Yaqoub Mahmoud Qadri were all captured by Israeli forces over the weekend in and around the Nazareth area in northern Israel.

Mahmoud Ardah and Yaqoub Qadri were captured on Friday night in a neighborhood in Nazareth city, while Zakaria Zubeidi and Mohammed Ardah were captured just hours later hiding in a truck parking lot outside Nazareth.

The two remaining prisoners, Ayham Kamanji and Munadil Nfeiat, are still at large. Early reports claimed two prisoners escaped to Jordan, though recent reports from Palestinian media claimed that the two had made their way to the West Bank.

‘NY Times’ fearmongers about the Iran nuclear deal, while ignoring Israel’s efforts to sabotage it

One U.S. publication just covered the stalled negotiations over the Iran nuclear deal fairly and honestly. Another ran a distorted, alarmist report that could have been written by Israel’s Hasbara Central propaganda department. The valuable report was in Responsible Statecraft, a new outlet that is gaining respect and influence but is still small. The biased article is on page 7 of today’s New York Times.

Let’s start with the Times. The fearmongering is right in the headline: “Iran Nears an Atomic Milestone.” The first sentence says, “Iran has come within roughly a month of having enough material to fuel a single nuclear weapon. . .” Paragraph after paragraph sound the alarm: “Iran has not been this close to a weapon capability since before President Obama agreed to the 2015 nuclear accord.” David E. Sanger and William J. Broad do perfunctorily note that “Iran continues to insist that it has no desire for a nuclear arsenal,” but then they go straight back to the warnings.

Israeli court orders Hamas to pay $11.8m for 'murdering settlers'

An Israeli court in Jerusalem ordered the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement on Monday to pay NIS38 million ($11.8m) to the families of three Israeli settlers who went missing in the occupied West Bank in 2014, Ynet News has reported. Gilad Shaar, Eyal Yifrach and Naftali Fraenkel went missing in June 2014 and were eventually found dead.

Israel has accused Hamas of kidnapping and murdering the settlers. At the time, young Palestinian Hussam Al-Qawasmeh, from the occupied city of Hebron, was detained by the Israeli occupation forces and accused of planning the alleged crime.

In a brutal act of revenge and collective punishment — a war crime — Israel launched a military offensive against the Palestinians in Gaza that lasted 51 days, during which more than 2,260 Palestinians were killed. More than 11,000 others were wounded, dozens of them with life-changing injuries.

Does Israel want to end its forever wars in Gaza?

Israel is finally waking up to the stark reality that it can no longer continue with its forever wars in Gaza. This was the critical message from Foreign Minister Yair Lapid when he spoke at a conference at Reichman University in Herzliya last weekend: "The State of Israel has a duty to tell its citizens we have turned every stone in an attempt to deal with the Gazan issue."

After 15 years of relentless blockade and four destructive wars, Gaza remains indomitable. Lapid's sense of hopelessness is not without precedent. In 1992, former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin famously lamented: "Try to give it back to the Egyptians, and they will say, 'You are stuck with it.'" He then added: "I wish the Gaza Strip would sink into the water, but I cannot find for it such a solution."

Bennett says he won’t meet Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian state a ‘terrible mistake’

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on Tuesday that he sees no reason for him to meet with Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas, despite a number of high-level contacts between Israel’s new government and the PA.

Bennett, speaking to the Kan public broadcaster as part of a series of interviews he gave to Israeli news outlets, cited the PA’s pursuit of war crimes charges against Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and continued payment of monthly stipends to security prisoners, including those convicted of killing Israelis.

“I don’t see any logic in meeting someone who is suing IDF soldiers at The Hague and accusing them of war crimes, and at the same time paying salaries to terrorists,” Bennett told the Kan public broadcaster. “I don’t see the logic in meeting him.”

WATCH: Israeli Forces Attack Primary School Students with Teargas Canisters

Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday attacked Palestinian primary school students with teargas canisters in Tubas, in the occupied West Bank.

The Red Cross said that over 30 Palestinian students in an elementary school in the Tayasir village suffocated as Israeli forces fired teargas canisters fired towards them during a raid of the village.

Local sources said that Israeli forces fired teargas canisters directly and heavily towards the students, resulting in dozens of suffocation cases.

Video footage shows the young students crying and screaming as the teargas fired towards them caused burning and pain in their eyes, throat, lungs and skin.

Palestinian prisoners to begin hunger strike to protest Israeli collective punishment

The Palestinian prisoner leadership has announced their intention to begin a hunger strike, starting Friday, to protest acts of Israeli collective punishment after the escape of six Palestinian detainees.

Some 1,380 Palestinian prisoners from across the political spectrum will go on hunger strike, according to Haaretz.

Prison wardens and security officials at Gilboa and Shita prisons may also face retaliatory attacks from prisoners in response to the "violent repression against them".

The first phase of the hunger strike will begin on Friday across eight prisons, including Gilboa jail, and will be expanding on 21 September with 100 senior detained leaders joining the hunger strike.

'No humanity or respect': Israel detains Palestinian father of cancer-stricken child

Israeli forces arrested dozens of Palestinians in the occupied territories on Tuesday, including the father of a cancer-stricken child - who's image bidding farewell to his son went viral on social media.

Hijazi al-Qawasmi, a father of four, was detained in Hebron after heavily armed Israeli police raided his home shortly before midday, his family told Middle East Eye.

"At 11 am today, the Zionist forces barged into our houses and ordered the arrest of Hijazi without providing us any explanation or reason," Bayan Al Natshe, Qawasmi's wife, told MEE.

"I asked them what was wrong with him, was it a court order or something he did wrong and they said we don’t know - they didn't reply to me. They arrested him and left."

REPORT: 14 ISRAELIS INFECTED WITH COVID DESPITE 3RD VACCINE DOSE

More than a dozen Israelis who have been vaccinated three times against SARS-CoV-2 have been diagnosed with the virus in spite of the vaccines, according to a new report Sunday evening.

According to data from Israel’s Health Ministry which was published in a report by Channel 12 Sunday evening, fourteen people who have received a third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine were diagnosed with the coronavirus at least seven days after receiving the third dose.

Israel officially kicked off its mass vaccination campaign for the third dose on July 30th, and has vaccinated some 422,000 people with the third dose thus far. The third dose is available to members of high-risk groups, including the elderly.

Drones, Likely Israeli, Attack Militia Sites on Iraq-Syria Border

A fleet of drones of as-yet-unidentified origin have carried out attacks on Shi’ite militia targets along the Syria-Iraq border. The early reports from Iraq were that the casualties were only on the Syrian side.

The militias in question are holdovers from the ISIS war, anti-ISIS forces that fought on both sides of the border. The US is hostile to the militia, but was quick to deny involvement in the attack. Israel has commonly launched attacks in this area, and there is ample speculation that they are the culprit.

Media reports, particularly Israeli reports, try to spin these militias as Iranian, even though in practice they are nearly all based in Iraq. Apart from increasingly rare engagements against ISIS, the groups are mostly targeted by Israel and/or the US.

ISRAELI STUDY: Fully Vaxxed Are 27 Times More Likely To Get COVID Compared To People With Natural Immunity

A new study out of Israel, pending peer review, has found that “fully vaccinated” people are 27 times more likely to get infected with COVID-19, develop symptoms, and 8 times more likely to experience hospitalization than unvaccinated people with natural immunity.
A new study from Israel, one of the most vaccinated countries in the world, claims that “fully vaccinated” people are significantly more likely to get infected with COVID-19 and develop symptoms requiring hospitalization than those who are unvaccinated and have the natural immunity that comes from catching the virus and recovering.

The study, Comparing SARS-CoV-2 natural immunity to vaccine-induced immunity: reinfections versus breakthrough infections, examined medical records of tens of thousands of people between the dates of June 1 and August 14 and is currently the largest real-world observational study to date on coronavirus immunity with respects to both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

Hashtag #Untie_Our_Hands: How Many More Palestinians Must Die for Israel’s ‘Security’?

A large Israeli army campaign is taking social media by storm. The installed aim of what is known as the "#Untie_Our_Hands" initiative is the desire to kill, with no accountability, more Palestinian protesters at the Gaza fence. The campaign was motivated by the killing of an Israeli sniper, Babel Hadaria Shmueli, who was reportedly shot from the Palestinian side of the fence on August 21.

An immediate question comes to mind: what do Israeli soldiers want, considering that they have already killed over 300 unarmed Palestinian protesters and wounded and maimed thousands more at the Gaza fence during what Palestinians referred to as the "Great March of Return" between 2018 and 2020?

This "march" is now being renewed, though it often takes place at night, where frustrated Palestinian youth gather in their thousands, chanting anti-Israeli occupation slogans and, at times, throwing rocks at Israeli snipers who are stationed nearly a mile away.

Israeli Warplanes Destroy Poultry Farms in Gaza Strip

Overnight, Israeli warplanes were reported to have attacked the Gaza Strip, intending to hit military targets belonging to Hamas. The reports out of the strip suggest no real damage or casualties on the military targets.

That doesn’t mean Israel did nothing, however, as videos and photos emerged from the area around Rafah to show that Israel attacked and destroyed three poultry farms. The video showed the sites, which were being restored after the most recent war, were attacked again.

Each farm was described as having more than 2,000 chickens when attacked during the war. The owner says the three sites were all “empty” and in the process of being repaired. A lot of new damage was caused, and they are starting from scratch in trying to restore the farms.

As is usually the case, Israel offered next to no details on its attacks, or why it was that the empty farms were attacked again.

The ‘Pegasus’ Saga: All iPhone Devises Were Exploited by Israeli Spy Tech Firm, Report Indicates

The digital rights group CitizenLab has discovered a vulnerability that allowed Israeli spyware company NSO Group to implant its Pegasus malware onto virtually every iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch device.

CitizenLab revealed the vulnerability on Monday, a week after discovering it by analyzing the phone of a Saudi activist that had been infected with the malware. The discovery was announced to the public shortly after Apple rolled out an update to patch the vulnerability.

The vulnerability allowed the NSO Group’s clients to send malicious files disguised as .gif files to a target’s phone, which would then exploit “an integer overflow vulnerability in Apple’s image rendering library” and leave the phone open to the installation of NSO Group’s now-infamous ‘Pegasus’ malware.

The exploit is what’s known as a ‘zero-click’ vulnerability, meaning that the target user would not have to click a suspicious link or file to allow the malware onto their device.

Recaptured Palestinian Gilboa escapees 'risk being tortured'

A Palestinian prisoners' rights group has sounded the alarm over the wellbeing of four Gilboa Prison escapees who were recaptured by Israel, amid reports of possible torture.

Six Palestinians broke out of Gilboa Prison in northern Israel last week after digging their way to freedom using a spoon. Two of the men remain free while the other four were captured by the Israeli army.

Qadoura Fares, the head of the Palestinian Prisoners Club, confirmed that fears are rising over the fate of the recaptured prisoners after reports emerged they may have been subject to torture.

Number of Jewish Americans Moving to Illegal Settlements Increases ‘Dramatically’

The number of Jewish Americans moving into illegal settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank has increased dramatically, according to recent data from Tel-Aviv’s Central Bureau of Statistics.

Out of the 2,296 US citizens who migrated to Israel last year, 191 moved into illegal settlements. This represents nearly a threefold increase from the previous year when less than three percent settled in Palestinian territory.

American Jews are also the most likely to settle in occupied territory compared with fellow Jews from other parts of the world. While they accounted for just over ten percent of all the newcomers arriving in Israel last year, they made up nearly a third of those opting to settle in the West Bank.

Architectures of delusion

The symbolism is irresistible: six men—political prisoners according to world opinion, terrorists according to their captors—tunneled out of Israel’s Gilboa, a heavily guarded colonial stockade, and then disappeared into the early morning darkness in an escape so daring and unlikely that it surely would become a big-budget production if Hollywood didn’t hate Palestinians.

The hole from which they emerged beyond the prison wall couldn’t have been much more than a foot in diameter. How did six grown men squeeze through such a small cavity? How did they manage this feat of primitive engineering? How did they bamboozle the Zionist security apparatus? We don’t know. They just did. This unknowability informs the magic of their escape.

Forensic Architecture victory shows that Palestine censorship must be confronted

Last month the investigative group Forensic Architecture pulled a show from the University of Manchester’s Whitworth Gallery after a statement of solidarity with Palestine was removed.

“Forensic Architecture stands with Palestine,” read a statement in the group’s Cloud Studies exhibition. “We believe this liberation struggle is inseparable from other global struggles against racism, white supremacy, antisemitism, and settler-colonial violence and we acknowledge its particularly close entanglement with the Black liberation struggle around the world.”

The group (which has been nominated for a Turner Prize for its digital models of crime scenes) was immediately targeted by a Zionist organization called UK Lawyers For Israel (UKLFI), who claimed that the note was “incendiary and by its very nature one-sided.” UKLFI has been targeting the Palestine solidarity movement since 2012 and has direct connections to the Israeli government.

srael’s ‘Fourth Wave’ Data: Vaccination Does Not Appear to Prevent Infection

What has become clear is that the vaccinated population became infected at about the same rate as the vaccination rate in a given age group – meaning vaccination did not correlate with a decrease in infection. Sampling bias is also matter for concern, as the unvaccinated are tested far more than the vaccinated due to the Green Passport that requires the unvaccinated to be tested in order to go to indoor events, restaurants, etc. This would indicate that the unvaccinated became infected to a lesser extent than the vaccinated, however, since the Ministry of Health stopped publishing the vaccination status of all those who are tested, the degree to which the selection bias is a factor is unknown.

This data has wide policy implications, including Israel’s decision to start the third injection. Perhaps most significant is that vaccine passports are based on the assumption that the vaccination limits the spread of the virus, which this data shows not to be the case.

Hot Mic Catches Israeli Health Minister Admitting Vaccine Passports Are About Coercion

Unaware that he was on a hot mic and being broadcast live on a TV station, Israeli health minister Nitzan Horowitz admitted that vaccine passports were primarily about coercing skeptical people to get the vaccine.

“Imposing “green pass” rules on certain venues is needed only to pressure members of the public to get vaccinated, and not for medical reasons, Israeli Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz said on Sunday, ahead of the weekly Cabinet meeting,” reports Jewish News Syndicate.

Unaware that his words were being broadcast live to the nation on Channel 12, Horowitz told Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked that not only should the green pass be removed as a requirement to dine at outdoor restaurants, but also, “For swimming pools, too, not just in restaurants.”

Israel Claims Iran ‘Exporting Aerial Terrorism’ by Training Militias to Use Advanced Drones

Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States have repeatedly accused Iran of supplying militias, some of them allied with regional governments, with unmanned aerial vehicles used to attack oil refineries, military facilities, and other targets. Tehran has for the most part denied these allegations.

Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz has accused Tehran of training militias from across the Middle East in the use of advanced drones directly at a military base situated in central Iran.

In a presentation at Reichman University in the town of Herzilya outside Tel Aviv on Sunday, Gantz claimed that “terrorists from Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon are receiving training on how to operate Iran-made drones in the Kashan Base north of Isfahan,” and alleged that “Kashan is leading Iran’s export of aerial terrorism in the region.”

Israeli Study: Having SARS-CoV-2 Once Confers Better Immunity to Delta Variant than Vaccine

In light of Biden’s power-grabbing pandemic proposals, the Legal Insurrection team thought it might be a good idea to look at the protections offered from natural immunity after a coronavirus infection occurs.

A new Israeli study offers intriguing insights into the power of the human body to respond to infection. Data suggest that having SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) confers greater immunity to the Delta variant than the vaccine. Israeli soldiers fire tear gas, live rounds at Palestinians workers near Ramallah

Israeli soldiers chased and attacked dozens of Palestinian workers on Sunday as they tried to enter their workplaces inside of Israel, the Palestinian Authority's news agency Wafa reported.

The workers were attempting to access their workplaces inside Israel through a crossing point near the village of Ni’lin, to the west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank when they were charged at by the soldiers.

Mayor of Ni’lin, Emad Khawaja, said Israeli soldiers fired live shots and teargas at the workers, causing many cases of suffocation from teargas inhalation.

Israel arrests more family members of Palestinian prison escapees

Israel has arrested more relatives of a group of Palestinians who escaped from a West Bank jail on Monday, stepping up what campaigners have branded a wave of "collective punishment" in the wake of the embarrassing security incident.

A massive manhunt has been underway in the occupied West Bank after six Palestinian prisoners - including five members of the Islamic Jihad group - managed to tunnel out of the supposedly high security Gilboa prison.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that two brothers and a sister of Mahmud Ardah, who is suspected of planning the escape, were arrested on Friday morning in the town of Arraba, near Jenin.

Other relatives of the prisoners - who all originate from Jenin - were also arrested on Wednesday, the group said.

Palestinian factions and activists had called for a "day of rage" on Friday to support the prisoners.

Distraught Israeli Mother Describes Attempted Forced Vaccination of Her Child [VIDEO]

If this testimony of attempted (and successfully executed) forced vaccination of 18 year olds in the middle of the night at an army base is true, it just adds to the bewildering, horribly ironic situation of Israeli elites using their own people as medical guinea pigs. This mum does raise the Nazi theme, quite rightly.

Fortunately, the girl in question was not vaccinated because she fought back hard. At least we can say that they didn’t ultimately force her 100%. But many others were, who didn’t have the personal strength or development to stand up to uniformed-authority-figures who literally SAT ON the young girls, ordering them to be vaccinated immediately. Reflect on those words. How many 18 year olds anywhere would have this kind of strength? Very few indeed. What kind of society would do this to their young? Isn’t the military supposed to protect its citizens from foreign enemies?

When did Israeli youth fall into this category?

The longstanding complicity of the Israeli Medical Association with torture in Israel

During the Middle Ages in Europe the practice of torture drew distinction from its association with confessed truth, repentance, and salvation, yet by 1874 Victor Hugo could write that “torture has ceased to exist.” However there has never been any doubt that torture would outlive its obituarists. In 2015 Amnesty International noted that 157 states had ratified the UN Convention of Torture, yet 141 states had used torture in the previous 5 years – this included Western supposedly liberal democracies. Torture is a form of terrorism.

Calls for 'Friday of rage' as Israel bans family visits to Palestinian prisoners

Israel has banned family visits for Palestinian prisoners and extended its military closure of the occupied West Bank, as it continues searching for six Palestinian prisoners who escaped Gilboa prison four days ago.

On Wednesday evening, the Palestinian Red Cross told families of Palestinian prisoners that all prison visits in September had been cancelled by the Israel Prison Service (IPS) and that no new visits could be booked.

The decision comes after two days of tension inside Gilboa, Megiddo, Rimon and Katziot prisons in Israel. Palestinian prisoners have protested Israeli procedures to isolate and transfer some of them to other prisons following the Gilboa jailbreak, which has been described as "a major security and intelligence failure" by Israel's police apparatus.

100 Palestinian protesters injured by Israeli soldiers in West Bank: medics

At least 100 Palestinian protesters were injured on Wednesday in clashes with Israeli soldiers near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that 100 Palestinians were injured by Israeli soldiers in clashes with Israeli soldiers in the villages of Beita and Huwara near Nablus.

The statement added that ten were shot, including nine with rubber-coated metal bullets and 90 others suffered suffocation after inhaling teargas fired by the soldiers to disperse the protesters.

Eyewitnesses in the two villages told Xinhua that dozens of Palestinian protesters took to the streets, burned tires and threw stones at Israeli soldiers who fired teargas and gunshots to disperse them.

Israeli settlement expansion on Palestinian properties and land continued.

The Israeli settlement expansion works continued on Palestinian lands and properties. New Israeli Film Paints Sympathetic Picture of Jewish Terrorists Who Tried to Murder Millions

An upcoming Israeli film that sympathetically portrays a group of Jewish terrorists who attempted to murder millions of German civilians by poisoning their water supply is enjoying uncritical publicity in Zionist media.

The film, “Plan A,” is based on a true story that director Yoav Paz extensively researched through recently unveiled testimony as well as the book Li Nakam Veshilem (Vengeance and Retribution are Mine) by historian Dina Porat.

Following the end of the second world war, a group of approximately 50 Jews led by communist partisan and Israeli national poet Abba Kovner formed a group called “Nakam,” or “the avengers.”
