Texas Judge Demands Biden Admin Stop Releasing ‘COVID Infected’ Illegal Immigrants Into Community

A judge in Hidalgo County, Texas has accused the Biden administration of releasing COVID-positive illegal immigrants into surrounding communities. And he wants it to stop.

He also accused Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott of removing tools Hidalgo County needs to stop infections, like mask mandates.

Judge Richard Cortez, who presides in what is considered one of the fastest-growing counties in the country near the southern tip of Texas, is demanding the federal government stop releasing “infected migrants.”

'You're such a pain in the neck': Biden snaps at NBC News reporter Kelly O'Donnell for asking about the VA's vaccine mandate during his meeting with Iraqi PM in the Oval Office

President Biden snapped at an NBC News reporter Kelly O'Donnell for asking about the Department of Veterans' Affairs vaccine mandate on Monday during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi at the White House on Monday.

After meeting with the Iraqi leader Biden took several questions on the United States' relationship with Iraq and American strategy in the Middle East.

As White House staff began ushering reporters out of the room, O'Donnell shouted a question about Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough's department-wide COVID vaccine mandate for its health care workers.

Texas Gov Slams Biden As The Swampiest Of All

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Sunday rebuked President Biden’s "completely reprehensible" initiatives on the Republicans’ election integrity bill in his state, saying the president is "willing to lie" to the American people to promote his political agenda.

During a display on Fox News’ "Sunday Morning Futures," the Republican governor told host Maria Bartiromo that Democrats are "flat-out lying" about what the GOP is doing in Texas, with the media repeating their claims.

Biden Promised Diplomacy, But He’s Overseeing Military Buildup Against China

Shortly after Joe Biden took office, the president delivered a speech at the U.S. Department of State, declaring, “I want the world to hear today: America is back…. Diplomacy is back at the center of our foreign policy…. By leading with diplomacy, we must also mean engaging our adversaries and our competitors diplomatically, where it’s in our interest, and advance the security of the American people.”

Instead of de-escalation with China, we are witnessing an enormous U.S. military buildup through massive military exercises in the Pacific.

Biden wastes $2 billion paying contractors not to build the border wall

With a border surge now setting records, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have admonished illegal border crossers not to enter the U.S. "Do not come, do not come," as Harris said in Guatemala. Joe has said similar things.

Republicans have complained about the warnings not being sincere. Now, a Senate Republican report shows there's proof positive of it.

According to Fox News:

A new report by Republicans on a Senate subcommittee has concluded that the Biden administration is spending a minimum of approximately $2 billion to suspend construction of the wall at the southern border, even amid a continuing migrant crisis.

The report by the minority staff of the Government Operations and Border Management Subcommittee of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee found that efforts to suspend or terminate wall construction projects at the Defense Department have cost between $1.8 billion to $2 billion and the administration is spending $3 million every day.

As total mass media blackouts on important news stories become more common, the challenge increasingly is not just obtaining newsworthy information about the powerful via whistleblowing, investigative journalism etc, but also finding ways to get that information seen by people. Which is awful, but it also means people like you now play a much more important role in the media, because you don’t need to be an investigative journalist or whistleblower to find fun and creative ways to get important critical information in front of people’s eyes.

Joe Biden Spreads Vaccine Misinformation Live on CNN to Millions of Americans

Did you happen to catch CNN’s town hall on Wednesday?

The broadcast was hosted by Don Lemon, and featured a predictably confused and stammering Joe Biden, haplessly trying to muck his way through an array of topics ranging from gun-gabbing to January 6th to Covid.

Joe experienced a lot of fumbles along the way- including one jaw-dropping moment where he lost his faculties for 25 seconds while trying to answer a simple question about the vaccine.

Eventually, Don Lemon jumped in and helped guide Joe out of the weeds.

The night was such a disaster that Sky News host Rita Panahi called Joe’s town hall “incoherent gibberish even by his very low standards.”

However, it wasn’t the gaffes, bungles, and “dementia-like” moments that were the worst part of the CNN town hall.

Biden Approval Drops, Hits New Low In Gallup Poll

President Joe Biden's approval rating is showing the "first signs of a meaningful decline" as the "honeymoon period" appears to be over, according to the latest Gallup opinion poll.

Biden's latest job approval rating plunged six percentage points to 50%, a new low, down from 56% in June. The latest survey consisted of 1,007 US adults between July 6-21. "Before this month, his ratings had not shown meaningful variation during his time in office, and the current figure marks the lowest measured for him to date," Gallup said.

Americans' optimism about country's direction over next year drops nearly 20 points since May: POLL

As President Joe Biden completed 100 days in office, the country was optimistic about the coming year, but now, just after hitting the six-month mark, Americans' optimism about the direction of the country has plummeted nearly 20 points, a new ABC News/Ipsos poll finds.

A majority -- 55% -- of the public say they are pessimistic about the direction of the country, a marked change from the roughly one-third (36%) that said the same in an ABC News/Ipsos poll published May 2. In the early May survey, Americans were more optimistic than pessimistic by a 28-percentage point margin. Optimism is now under water by 10 points. Looking ahead to the next 12 months, fewer than half -- 45% -- now report feeling optimistic about the way things are going, a significant drop from about two-thirds (64%) in the May poll.

Jen Psaki Hiding White House Coronavirus Numbers: ‘Why Do You Need to Have That Information?’

President Joe Biden’s administration refused Friday to release the numbers of White House staff who had tested positive for the coronavirus.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki argued the information was not relevant, as the staffers were vaccinated and experienced breakthrough infections and experienced asymptomatic or mild symptoms.

“We’re in a very different place than we were six or seven months ago,” she said, downplaying the need to release the information.

Breakthrough COVID Cases Among White House Staffers: Psaki Refuses To Disclose Number

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the public will not be notified about how many vaccinated staffers have contracted COVID-19 following news of breakthrough cases among inoculated staffers on the campus.

Psaki said breakthrough cases should be expected “statistically speaking” as there are around 2,000 people working on-campus, Business Insider reported. “No, I don’t think that you can expect that we’ll be providing numbers of breakthrough cases,” she said Thursday.

She had previously confirmed that there had been multiple breakthrough cases in the White House.

Psaki said Wednesday that the White House will disclose if commissioned officers test positive for the virus. She had also added that details would be given when officials who have had close contact with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris test positive.

Russia and US Schedule Arms Control Talks in the Nick of Time as Missiles Continue To Be Deployed

Russian newspaper Kommersant reported on Tuesday that Kremlin and White House officials have scheduled arms control talks in Geneva for the 28th of July.

Putin and Biden agreed to discuss the nuclear buildup going on across the world during their first summit together last month, which by all accounts, public and private, was an amicable one. Despite Biden telling Putin face to face that he didn’t believe he had a soul, and saying to reporters earlier this year that he was a “killer,” spokesmen from the White House said the meeting went well.

Putin himself commented later that Biden “doesn’t’ miss anything, I can assure you,” referring to what he described as an inaccurate portrayal by “our press, and even the American press” that Biden is perhaps suffering dementia of a sort.

Kennedy: Biden ‘Not Telling the Truth’ About Defunding the Police, Has ‘Ph.D.’ in Lying

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) accused President Joe Biden of “not telling the truth” when he asserted that the GOP is lying about the Democrats wanting to defund the police.

According to Kennedy, Biden has a “Ph.D.” in lying.

“In my opinion, Sandra, President Biden is not telling the truth,” Kennedy stated. “Maybe George Washington could not tell a lie, but just about every politician since has mastered the skill. And I don’t mean to be ugly, but President Biden has a Ph.D. in it. Now, some politicians lie because it’s useful, other politicians lie because they forget.”

Host Sandra Smith asked the Louisiana Republican what Biden is lying about.

Biden's belief that Putin is conspiring with China to take down democracy betrays his complete ignorance of Russia's own politics

Russia and China are betting that autocracy will beat democracy. That’s according to US President Joe Biden. But apart from generating headlines, his explosive claim seems to have little to do with the reality in either country.

Not only is lumping the two states together a mistake, so too is the act of contrasting the two ideologies. The language of political philosophy is, sadly, unsuited to the task of describing political realities. We bandy about words such as “liberalism,” “socialism,” and “fascism,” as if we know what they mean. In fact, they are horribly loose categories that even the brightest political philosopher struggles to define, and confuse more often than they help.

Biden fits neatly within an American tradition that regards the United States as the natural leader of the “free” world, splitting countries neatly into two – democracies on the one hand, and everybody else on the other.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I get ill when his fraudulency talks about how great democracy is.

Sen. Jim Risch on Biden’s Ecoterrorist Nominee: ‘This Attempted Murderer’ Should Be ‘Before a Jury’

Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID) issued a scathing argument against President Joe Biden’s controversial Bureau of Land Management (BLM) nominee, Tracy Stone-Manning, during a committee meeting Thursday, illustrating the dangers of tree spiking amid revelations of Stone-Manning’s involvement in a past tree spiking crime.

Risch spoke ahead of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee voting along party lines, 10–10, for Stone-Manning after heated debate about the nominee’s role in delivering a letter in 1989 on behalf of a since-convicted ecoterrorist.

The Idaho senator, who earned a forestry degree before becoming a successful trial lawyer and later governor of Idaho, explained during the meeting that tree spiking can be deadly because saws explode the way “a hand grenade goes off.”

“Shrapnel goes every direction. It destroys the saw, be it a band saw or a circular saw. … It will either kill or injure anyone that is within range of the shrapnel,” Risch said.

U.S. Weighs New Sanctions on Iran’s Oil Sales to China if Nuclear Talks Fail

The U.S. is considering tighter sanctions on Iranian oil sales to China as a way to encourage Tehran to conclude a nuclear deal and raise the costs of abandoning stalled negotiations.

U.S. negotiators have been working with European and other international partners in Vienna since April to revive the 2015 deal that limits Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for an easing of broad sanctions. As those talks falter, the U.S. is running through options intended to induce Iran to keep negotiating or punish it if it doesn’t, according to U.S. officials and people familiar with the matter.

One plan being drafted would choke off Iran’s swelling crude-oil sales to China, the country’s main client, through fresh sanctions targeting the shipping networks that help export an estimated one million barrels a day and bring critical revenue to Iran, the officials said.

Biden Administration Pays $3 Million Every Day To Not Build The Border Wall

The Biden administration is spending around $3 million daily to not finish construction on the southern border wall, Republican Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford said Wednesday.

Around $2 billion in taxpayer dollars have been wasted on paying Department of Defense (DOD) contractors to not build the border wall since Jan. 20, increasing by at least $3 million daily, according to Lankford.

Former President Donald Trump allocated $10 billion to the DOD for border wall construction and the Biden administration had spent about $2 billion on suspension and termination costs paid to contractors.

“The Biden Administration is paying contractors at least $3 million per day to guard steel, concrete, and other materials in the desert,” Lankford said in a report.

If Biden can’t stand up to Saudi Arabia, then Congress should, and now

In sharp contrast to Donald Trump’s uncritical embrace of the Saudi regime and its brutal war in Yemen, President Biden took the opportunity of his first foreign policy speech in February of this year, to pledge an end of U.S. support for “offensive operations” in Yemen along with “relevant arms sales.”

Biden also appointed a special envoy, veteran diplomat Tim Lenderking, to support United Nations efforts to craft a peace agreement to end the Yemen war. It was a promising start towards ending the world’s worst humanitarian catastrophe – a war in which nearly a quarter of a million people have died.

Unfortunately, the Biden administration has been slow to fulfil its promise to help bring peace to Yemen, dragging its feet on key initiatives and falling short on others.

Biden drifts off answering a question during CNN’s town hall with Don Lemon, appears to listen to earpiece to get out of incoherent ramble

We’ve all seen this before, as has every leader of every country in the world. A sitting president of the United States cannot put together a coherent answer to a simple question. He pauses, appears puzzled, and then comes up with a string of words that appear to have entered his brain via an earpiece. If the stakes weren’t so high, it would be comic.

Wednesday saw the president of the United States engage in a town hall format discussion, on friendly territory with Don Lemon moderating on CNN. It must have been one of those “good days” that dementia sufferers sometime enjoy – in Biden’s case, meaning no “lid” was called, removing the leader of the free world from public scrutiny.

Biden administration is 'considering urging vaccinated people to start wearing face masks again' as Delta variant spreads and vaccine rollout stalls

The Biden administration is considering urging vaccinated Americans to start wearing face masks again as the highly contagious Delta variant spreads across the US and the nation's vaccine rollout stalls, according to a report.

Multiple sources told the Washington Post that high-level discussions are underway between top White House aides and Biden administration officials over whether the nation's mask guidance should be updated following a spike in COVID-19 cases.

Biden administration urges Big Tech to intensify censorship and violate the First Amendment

The Biden administration is calling on Big Tech to censor narratives that the government considers “misinformation” about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). Misinformation is defined by health officials as information that is false, inaccurate or misleading, according to the best available evidence.

On Thursday, July 15, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy issued the first public health advisory from the administration that supposedly looks to address misinformation and disinformation, as well as their harmful impact on public health.

Murthy told reporters in Washington that he targeted social media misinformation with his first advisory because it “poses an imminent and insidious threat to our nation’s health.”

But critics have quickly decried the effort, saying that the government is effectively telling Big Tech to violate the First Amendment. (Related: If private platforms use government guidelines to police content, is that state censorship?)

Biden White House pushes race war narrative by blaming urban violence on “white supremacy”

The Biden regime is actively conspiring with the corrupt Department of Justice (DOJ) to vilify people with fair skin, blaming them for the scourge of black crime that continues to plague America’s inner cities.

Biden White House Has COVID Cases; Mocked Trump as Reckless During Campaign

Joe Biden mocked President Donald Trump for months on the campaign trail, saying that he was reckless with regard to the coronavirus, even in the White House. Now, the Biden White House is facing a coronavirus outbreak of its own.

Biden, who campaigned on promises to “follow the science,” called Trump an “absolute fool” for not wearing a mask during an outdoor event on Memorial Day in 2020.

When Trump was diagnosed with coronavirus in September 2020, Biden said: “Quite frankly, I wasn’t surprised.” He added that “anybody who contracts the virus by essentially saying, masks don’t matter, social distancing doesn’t matter, I think is responsible for what happens to them.”

President Biden has been more freewheeling with his remarks in the last few weeks, leading to slip-ups the White House has had to clean up.

Less than three days after his initial remarks, the president reversed course, saying Facebook “isn’t killing people.”

Biden Targets Iran. Cyber, Military and Legal Provocations. Economic Warfare

On June 18, 2021, the Iranian people elected Ebrahim Raeisi as the next president of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Raeisi is a conservative jurist who ran for office pledging to fight “poverty, corruption, humiliation and discrimination.” He is viewed in Washington as a tool of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

At a press conference held on Monday, June 21, 2021, Raeisi called for an end to U.S. sanctions that were imposed on Iran by Donald Trump in violation of international law. He also announced that “all parties must return to the nuclear agreement.” However, he noted that Iran would not accept restrictions on its ballistic missile program or support for regional militias. Nor would he meet with President Biden if given the opportunity.

The U.S. response was swift in coming. A disturbing pattern of harassment emerged that included cyber, military and legal provocations perpetrated within the context of economic war being waged against Iran.

Physicians group: Biden's home-vaccine visits unconstitutional, unethical

The Biden administration's plan to send agents "door to door" to persuade the "vaccine-hesitant" to receive the experimental COVID-19 shots is unconstitutional and unethical, contends an association of physicians.

The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons said in a statement that the federal government's "solicitation violates the ethical principles of protecting confidentiality and informed consent."

Biden Doubles Down on Voters

President Joe Biden has now declared that the United States is facing an existential crisis comparable to what it experienced during the Civil War, a struggle that will produce a truly democratic form of government with universal franchise or which will result in the denial of basic rights to many citizens. And he is quite willing to address the issue employing a maximum of emotion and fear mongering unmitigated by a minimum of reasonable suasion, saying “We’re facing the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War. That’s not hyperbole. Since the Civil War — the Confederates back then never breached the Capitol as insurrectionists did on January the 6th. I’m not saying this to alarm you. I’m saying this because you should be alarmed.”

Biden ignores bipartisan warnings, insists spike in inflation is ‘temporary’

President Biden said Monday that “no serious economist” is worried about long-term inflation, ignoring the bipartisan warnings of economists including Democratic former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, as the president tried to shore up his crumbling case for $4 trillion in new infrastructure spending.

The president said in a White House address that the economy is riding “ups and downs,” including price increases, supply shortages and an inflation rate that clocked in last month at a 13-year high of 5.4%. But Mr. Biden insisted the spike in inflation is temporary.

“There’s nobody expecting unchecked inflation on the way, no serious economist,” Mr. Biden said.

The White House won’t admit Cubans oppose communism because the Biden regime LOVES Communism

The Communist regime in Cuba is currently facing the most unrest from its citizens in decades, and that’s a big deal because the regime doesn’t take kindly to dissent.

Cubans sick and tired of more than 62 years of tyranny and poverty after being promised ‘utopia’ by the ‘great revolutionary’ Fidel Castro have taken to the streets, some even waving American flags right along with banners of their own country. They are angry, they are poor and they are more than a little disillusioned.

Frankly, this is a moment that is rare in human history: A people so sick of authoritarianism they are willing to risk it all to be free — just like our founding fathers (and, yes, the ‘founding mothers’ who stood by their men). It’s a moment born for American support; it screams out for recognition from the U.S. government, the supposed bastion and exporter of individual freedom and liberty.

Biden says U.S. prepared to send vaccines to Cuba but not ease policy on remittances

U.S. President Joe Biden said on Thursday the United States is prepared to send vaccines to Cuba if it is assured an international organization would administer them but he is not considering easing U.S. policy around sending remittances to the country.

Thousands of Cubans on Sunday staged https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/street-protests-break-out-cuba-... the biggest anti-government protests in decades to demonstrate against an economic crisis that has seen shortages of basic goods and power outages. They were also protesting the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and curbs on civil liberties. Dozens of activists were detained.

Joe Biden Bows to Force Majeure

If one were only limited to viewing or reading the US mainstream media the story of how President Joe Biden went down on his knees to honor two visiting Israelis would never have surfaced. Fortunately, the story did make considerable waves in both the Israeli and the alternative media, though not enough to convince the faceless editors at CBS news and elsewhere to run with it. The kneeling incident reportedly took place while Biden was meeting in the White House with soon-to-be retired Israeli president Reuven Rivlin. Rivlin was doing something like his victory lap, having presumably completed his term of office without being charged with corruption, which is what the Jewish state’s leaders have traditionally been noted for.

Biden Admin Refuses To Take Responsibility For Inflation

White House press secretary Jen Psaki revealed to reporters on Thursday that the White House is "vigilant" in monitoring inflation signals but maintained that President Joe Biden's infrastructure proposals will help reduce rising prices.

Psaki, questioned about comments made by Federal Reserve Board Chairman Jerome Powell, mentioned that "experts believe" that "most of the price increases are expected to be temporary through the consequences of restarting an economy shut down during the pandemic."

Bomber Joe Biden Strikes Iraq and Syria: Retaliation Breeds More Incidents

In less than six months in office President Joe Biden has already developed a national security policy that appears to lean strongly towards proactive use of military force in questionable circumstances, as if war is the answer to every problem. Biden should nevertheless be applauded for his persistence in withdrawing from Afghanistan after twenty years of ill-considered nation building, but even the departure from that country appears to be characterized by a lack of coordination, rather reminiscent of helicopters taking off from the embassy roof in Saigon in 1975.

Pence Demands Biden Boycott The 2022 China Olympics

Former Vice President Mike Pence called on President Biden to ask the 2022 Olympics to be removed from Beijing unless China provides clarity on the origins of COVID-19 and abolishes human rights violations against the county's Muslim minority communities in Xinjiang.

The former vice president made the comments at The Heritage Foundation on Wednesday for the conservative think tank's annual B.C. Lee Lecture on international affairs.

"President Biden should make a clear and unequivocal demand that the 2022 Winter Olympics be moved from Beijing unless China comes clean on the origins of COVID-19 and immediately ends the persecution of the Uyghur people," Pence said during his speech. "The Olympics should only take place in countries that respect fundamental human rights and the well-being of mankind."

White House quietly signals inflationary run could last years

The White House is sending mixed messages on the United States's post-pandemic inflationary run, with quiet signals suggesting the period might last years longer than administration officials have publicly indicated.

The Consumer Price Index report for May published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that year-over-year inflation jumped 5.4%, marking three straight months of increases and the single-largest increase since the Great Recession of 2008.

Still, the White House's Council of Economic Advisers noted roughly 60% of that increase could be attributed to auto industry demand, exacerbated by severe semiconductor shortages.

Washington denies its top envoy discussed withdrawal of troops from Iraq with Prime Minister Kadhimi

The Iraqi PM’s office says he and the top White House envoy for the Middle East discussed the withdrawal of combat troops from the country. A senior Biden administration official denies it ever happened.

A statement referring to a pullout of American troops from Iraq was released by the office of Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi after he met with Brett McGurk, the White House special coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa.

“Discussions took place about mechanisms for [US] combat troops’ withdrawal from Iraq, and moving forward to a new stage in strategic cooperation,” the Tuesday statement about the Baghdad meeting said.

A senior official in the US administration told Newsweek that “this was not true,” when asked for comment.

Iraq hosts some 3,500 foreign troops, including 2,500 American soldiers, who are ostensibly on the ground to help the Iraqi government prevent a possible resurgence of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS).

Convicted Ecoterrorist Claims Biden Nominee Was an Active Accomplice in Terror Plot for Months in Advance

One of the men convicted in a 1989 ecoterrorism crime has stated that Tracy Stone-Manning, President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), was an active accomplice in his crime who knew about it “far in advance.”

John P. Blount, who spiked trees in Idaho’s Clearwater National Forest in 1989 and was later sentenced to 17 months in prison for it, said Stone-Manning was complicit in his act of ecoterrorism, E&E News reported Thursday.

“She knew about it far in advance, a couple of months before we headed out,” Blount said, according to the outlet.

Stone-Manning belonged to the environmental extremist group Earth First! — members of which committed acts of ecoterrorism during the 1980s and 1990s — while she was a graduate student at the University of Montana in Missoula.

Biden-Putin meeting: no to nuclear war, yes to wars that can lead to nuclear war

[T]he Russian delegation said that Moscow wanted “to state the inadmissibility of any war with the US, not only a nuclear one, considering the risks of it descending into a nuclear conflict between Russia and the US,” but the parties “so far agreed that it is precisely a nuclear war that was inadmissible.”

Documents reveal US pressure on ex-Yemeni regime to agree on normalizing ties with Israel

The interior ministry of Yemen’s National Salvation Government has released a series of confidential documents detailing the United States pressure on the administration of former Yemeni dictator, Ali Abdullah Saleh, to normalize relations with Israel and lift the blockade on products made in the Israeli occupied territories.

According to the documents, the US embassy in Sana’a had asked then-Yemeni authorities to end the economic embargo on Israeli goods, and not to participate in any activities deemed harmful to the Tel Aviv regime, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported.

The papers expose the level of Washington’s and Tel Aviv’s discontent and frustration with the blockade, and how US officials left no stone unturned to force former Yemeni officials into opening the Arab country’s market to Israeli businesses and their products.

YEMEN: BIDEN SHRUGS OFF CAMPAIGN PROMISE AS US BACKS NEW SAUDI OFFENSIVE AND AQAP SUPPORT

President Joe Biden gave a lot of people a sense of cautious optimism when he took to the campaign trail and promised to bring a swift end to the Saudi-led war on Yemen. The oil-rich monarchy, supported heavily by the United States, has been waging arguably the deadliest military campaign of the past decade on the forgotten country for over six years, exacting a brutal humanitarian toll on its civilian population.

To his credit, Biden sent Tim Lenderking to lead a team of negotiators in an attempt to broker reconciliation between the conflict’s many belligerents. But without the political will to stand up to the Saudi monarchy and the varied American interests that profit handsomely from its wars, Lenderking had little chance of success. Now it seems the Kingdom — once again emboldened, armed, and covered by the United States — has all but abandoned any pretense of reconciliation and doubled down on its brutal war.

Patrick J. Buchanan: Are The Good Times Over For Biden?

Are the Democrats headed for their Little Bighorn, with President Joe Biden as Col. Custer? The wish, you suggest, is father to the thought. Yet, consider.

On taking office, Biden held a winning hand.

Three vaccines, with excellent efficacy rates, had been created and were being administered at a rate of a million shots a day. The pandemic was at its peak but looking certain to turn down, and it did.

This welcome news lifted national spirits, and the economy with it.

And the new president was taking office in a brief era of good feelings produced by the departure of the party and president who had given us the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Thus did Biden begin his administration with his approval at a level his predecessor never reached in any year of his presidency.

Happy days were here again.

But now the storm clouds are gathering and rumbling.

Biden forced to pivot foreign policy focus to crises in neighboring nations

President Joe Biden has staked his presidency on America's return -- a return to normalcy amid the coronavirus pandemic, a return to the global stage following four years of Trump-era isolationism and, arguably, a return to many of the policy positions adopted by the Obama administration.

But recent incidents in the Caribbean mark a moment in which the Biden administration may be in uncharted territory.

While issues related to Russia, China and the Northern Triangle have been at the forefront of the Biden administration's foreign policy priorities, violence and demonstrations taking place just off of America's coast have forced the White House's response.

Biden Wants the FCC to Fix Net Neutrality—but It Can't Yet

ON FRIDAY, PRESIDENT Biden urged the Federal Communications Commission to restore net neutrality rules and take steps to boost price transparency and competition in broadband—but the FCC can't do most or all of that yet, because Biden hasn't nominated a fifth commissioner to break the 2-2 deadlock between Democrats and Republicans.

Consumer advocacy groups have been urging Biden to nominate a third Democrat to the deadlocked FCC for months, but he still hasn't done so. What's causing the holdup isn't clear. The delay could wipe out the FCC's ability to do anything opposed by Republicans for all of 2021, because it can take the Senate months to approve FCC nominations, and the FCC process for complicated rulemakings is also lengthy.

Israel’s New PM to Review Iran Policy Ahead of Biden Meeting

According to a report from Axios, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has ordered a review of Israel’s Iran policy that is to be concluded before his first meeting with President Biden, which is expected to take place later in July.

Like his predecessor Benjamin Netanyahu, Bennett is an Iran hawk and opposes a US return to the Iran nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA. But Israeli sources told Axios that there is a debate within the Israeli government if the current situation is better or worse than if the JCPOA was revived.

“There are several questions in the discussions — is the current treading water better or worse than a US return to the deal, if and how Israel can influence the Biden administration, and what the current situation means for developing an Israeli military option,” an unnamed Israeli official told Axios.

New Anti-Terrorism Strategy 'Narrowly Tailored' to Target the Right

"This National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism lays out a comprehensive approach to addressing the threat while safeguarding bedrock American civil rights and civil liberties – values that make us who we are as a nation,” explains an introduction attributed to Joe Biden in the document, released last month by the National Security Council. This strategy, readers learn “is narrowly tailored to focus specifically on addressing violence and the factors that lead to violence.” As it happens, this “narrowly tailored” approach is nothing new.

The strategy reflects the fundamental transformation by the composite character president David Garrow described in Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama. He changed the focus from radical Islamic terrorism to “right-wing” domestic terrorism, and imposed that strategy in the FBI and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

A Country That Has Lost Its Way: U.S. Government and Corporations Combine to Strip Citizens of Their Rights

The American people have increasingly become aware that government surveillance and corporate censorship have combined to keep people ignorant and controlled. What is taking place has generated some dark humor. A friend of mine, also a former CIA officer, wrote to me recently and said tongue-in-cheek that he retains a lot of respect for the Agency because it is the only major government national security entity that does not read our mail and emails. Israel Wants Biden to Keep Trump’s Iran Sanctions Even if Nuclear Deal Is Revived

According to a report from The Times of Israel, Israeli officials recognize that the Biden administration is intent on returning to the Iran nuclear deal and are now focusing their efforts on pushing President Biden to keep Trump-era Iran sanctions in place.

The strategy doesn’t make much sense considering the US withdrew from the JCPOA by reimposing sanctions on Iran. It’s possible that the Israelis want Iran’s civilian nuclear program to be under the strict limits of the JCPOA while the Islamic Republic is still under crippling sanctions. But Tehran would never agree to reduce its nuclear activity without significant sanctions relief.

So far, despite entering indirect talks with Iran, the Biden administration has refused to lift all Trump era sanctions, so the two sides have been negotiating what measures the US will lift. An unnamed Israeli official who spoke to the Times gave credit to the Biden administration for refusing to lift sanctions up to this point.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran will not go back to the deal if there is no sanctions relief.
