World War II (III) mission to endure: U.S. to keep troops in Germany to confront Russia

The U.S. Army is here to stay in Germany, the service’s top civilian said this week during a stop in Munich that reinforced a growing sense that a proposal for big troop cutbacks in the country is all but dead.

Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth said Monday that “there should be no question” that the U.S. is sticking around. She highlighted the recent addition of new Army units as a sign that a mission dating to World War II will endure.

“The challenge Russia presents to both of our countries and the NATO alliance underscores how important it is we maintain and strengthen our trans-Atlantic ties,” she said.

Abp. Viganò warns US bishops about COVID jab: The Great Reset wants ‘billions of chronically ill people’

Your Eminences,

Your Excellencies,

I address you, Archbishop Gómez, as President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and to you, Cardinals Ladaria and Müller, for your competence, some serious considerations related to the so-called vaccines against Covid-19.

I believe there are some aspects of the question that now allow for a more complete evaluation of what these drugs are and what effects they cause; this evaluation ought to lead to a collegial stance, in conformity with the Magisterium of the Church and not influenced by biased information or by erroneous news spread by the producers of these drugs or by the media.

Manufacturing our consent for medical apartheid? ‘Libertarian socialist’ Noam Chomsky comes out in support of a two-tier society

Hitherto-revered US leftist Noam Chomsky’s call for the unvaccinated to be ‘isolated’ from the rest of society, and his cold dismissal of concerns over how they would even get food, is deeply shocking. How the mighty have fallen.

The one good thing about the last 18 months is that it has exposed who were the genuine supporters of basic human freedoms and who were not. Goodness me, there've been quite a few surprises, haven‘t there?

Nolte: Veteran Prop Master Refused Job on Alec Baldwin Film Due to Safety Concerns

Veteran prop master Neal W. Zoromski says he turned down an offer to work on Alec Baldwin’s film Rust over safety concerns.

With credits going back to 1990, Zoromski told far-left NBC News, “I turned the job opportunity down on Rust because I felt it was completely unsafe.”

To save money, Zoromski said the film’s producers (Baldwin is a credited producer) took two separate jobs — prop master and armorer — and combined them into one job.

“I impressed upon them,” he said, “that there were great concerns about that, and they didn’t really respond to my concerns about that.”

In a separate interview with the far-left L.A. Times, he described Rust as “an accident waiting to happen.”

Israel’s ‘terrorist’ designation of Palestinian rights groups credits ‘apartheid’ label U.S. political establishment denies

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s declaration that six Palestinian human rights and civil society groups are “terrorist” organizations aimed at the “destruction” of the country has unleashed fury. “It’s a storm that won’t die down,” Owen Alterman of the Israeli broadcaster i24 News said yesterday. Liberal Zionists have said the designation is “deeply repressive,” and even the Biden administration raised an eyebrow. So now Israel is sending a delegation to Washington to try to prove the absurd/vague charge, which is based on alleged connections between the groups and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

One immediate effect of the declaration, which would ban organizations that fight for the rights of Palestinian prisoners and defend the rights of Palestinian children, is that it has put Israeli “apartheid” back in the news.

Israel officer raped Palestinian woman in exchange for work permit

A shocking account of the rape of a Palestinian woman by an Israeli officer seven years ago has emerged after the military's appeals court cleared the details of the case for publication earlier this week. The Palestinian women identified in court only as M. said that the Israeli officer abused his power by taking advantage of her need for a work permit and forced her to have sex with him.

The rape occurred in 2013 and 2014, and the officer's identity is still under a gag order. He was secretly convicted by an Israeli court in 2017 and a gag order was imposed on most of the details of the investigation. Details of the case, however, were cleared for publication after a request by the Israeli Ynet news site.

According to details of the case reported in Haaretz, the Israeli officer "told her that he liked her and began trying to have sex with her. M. expressed her refusal, but the defendant asked her to keep quiet."

Amazon and Google: partners in Israeli apartheid

The best-selling Irish novelist Sally Rooney is openly shunning Israel after recent reports from human rights groups warned that Israel practices apartheid, systematically oppressing Palestinians under its rule.

But while Israel risks becoming a pariah among some cultural producers, it is being aggressively embraced by globe-spanning corporations like Amazon and Google – among the wealthiest companies in history.

The two tech giants are not just lining up to do business with Israel. They are actively working to build and improve the technological infrastructure Israel needs to surveil Palestinians and confine them to the ghettos Israel’s army has created for them.

Through their collaboration on Israel’s Project Nimbus, both companies are helping to remove any pressure on Israel to make peace with the Palestinians and are instead becoming partners in Israeli apartheid.

New Politico Owner Says Will Enforce pro-Israel Policy

Politico’s new owner, Germany’s Axel Springer, expects the U.S. website to adhere to the parent company’s principles including support for Israel’s right to exist, Springer’s CEO told The Wall Street Journal Friday.

Axel Springer said in August it was buying Politico for more than $1 billion.

The chief executive of the Berlin-based company, Mathias Döpfner, has long said that support for Israel is “a German duty.”

He told The Journal on Friday that this sentiment – and others such as support for a united Europe and a free-market economy – “are like a constitution, they apply to every employee of our company.” Employees who disagreed “should not work for Axel Springer, very clearly.”

US Panel Recommends Pfizer Covid Vaccine For Younger Children

A medical panel of US government advisors endorsed the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine in five-to-11-year-olds Tuesday, paving the way for younger children to get their shots within weeks.

The independent experts concluded the known benefits -- both directly to kids' health but also in ending school and other disruptions -- outweighed the known risks.

After a day of presentations and debate, the final vote was 17 in favor and one abstention.

The Food and Drug Administration, which convened the meeting, is expected to give its formal green light soon, making 28 million young Americans eligible for the shot by mid-November.

HEAD OF CRIMEA: AMSTERDAM'S DECISION TO HAND OVER SCYTHIAN GOLD TO UKRAINE IS OUTRAGEOUS

The Amsterdam court's decision to hand over Scythian gold to Kiev, is practically a desicion to cover up the "raider seizure" of historical artifacts, the head of the Crimea Sergei Aksyonov is sure. He called the court verdict "unfair" and "outrageous", RIA Novosti reports.

The main part of the exhibits from the Scythian gold collection was discovered at the Late Scythian Ust-Alma necropolis near the village of Peschanoe, Bakhchisarai region. The collection includes jewelry, tableware made of metal, clay and wood, utensils, fragments of military ammunition, weapons, gravestone sculptures and more.

As Russkiy Mir reported earlier, in February 2014, about 2,000 exhibits of Crimean museums were sent to Amsterdam to participate in the exhibition at the Allard Pearson Museum. In the summer of the same year, the gallery announced its refusal to send artifacts back to both Crimea and Ukraine, which claimed its rights to the collection.

Should a peaceful, law-abiding man of faith be punished in perpetuity for publicly proclaiming his heartfelt belief that "ALL LIVES MATTER ... EVERY SINGLE ONE"?

The question is not merely rhetorical. It is now a legal matter for a California court and jury to decide. Billionaire political meddlers, disinformation agents launch ‘Good Information Inc.’ to fight disinformation

Billionaire CIA-linked “overt operative” George Soros teams up on a shady media venture with tech billionaire Reid Hoffman, who financed a Facebook disinfo operation that framed Russia for meddling in US elections.

On Tuesday, billionaires Reid Hoffman and George Soros launched Good Information Inc., a “public benefit corporation” to serve as a conduit of funds to newsrooms that “cut through the echo chambers with fact-based information.” On its website, Good Information further describes itself as a “civic incubator” aimed at fostering and financially backing projects that “counter disinformation where it spreads by increasing the flow of good information online.”

But more than merely providing an alternative to bad information through their own reporting, the company suggests that censorship is also on the menu: “We believe there is an urgent need for regulation of social media platforms,” their website states.

How the US enabled Ethiopia’s bloodletting, training its military while playing innocent observer

The Biden administration has sanctioned Eritrea and Ethiopia for alleged crimes against the Tigray people. But over the last three decades, successive US governments trained and modernized Ethiopia’s military under the cover of “peacekeeping” operations.
The World Food Program recently reported that 7 million Ethiopians across three northern states—Afar, Amhara, and Tigray—risk starvation: more than 5 million of whom are in Tigray; a region that borders Eritrea and consists of seven million Ethiopians. The governments of Ethiopia and Eritrea are united against the potentially secessionist Tigrayan People’s Liberation Front. As usual in war, ordinary civilians pay the price.

Susan Lindauer Returns

Susan Lindauer was a CIA asset who was asked to work as a back channel to Iraq and to Libya prior to 911. She also worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA.) She was active in the anti-sanctions movement. Two million Iraqis died from those sanctions prior to George W Bush’s war. She was under indictment and a gag order thanks to the Patriot Act. She was convicted under the Patriot Act in 2008 and held for a year to keep her under wraps during the elections. She was never paid for the work she did. The only evidence at her trial was that she was on assignment in New York and met with the Iraqi UN ambassador. She was convicted under the Patriot Act because she went to lunch on orders from the CIA and allowed the Iraqi ambassador to buy her a cheeseburger. The free lunch cost her a year in a military prison.

Russia, China Hold First Ever Joint Patrol in Western Pacific

On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry said Russia and China held their first ever joint naval patrols in the western Pacific as the two countries continue to step up military cooperation in the face of pressure from the US and its allies.

The patrols took place from October 17th to the 23rd and involved five Chinese warships and five Russian warships. The patrols included a passage through the Tsugaru Strait, which separates the northern Japanese islands of Honshu and Hokkaido.

“The tasks of the joint patrolling were to demonstrate the state flags of Russia and China, maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and also protect facilities of both countries’ maritime economic activity. During the patrol, the group of warships passed through the Tsugaru Strait for the first time,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Biden Officials Say US Military Not Leaving Syria Any Time Soon

Since the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, there has been speculation that the US might also leave Syria, but the Biden administration has been quick to dispel such rumors. In the latest comments, Biden officials told Al Jazeera that a Syria withdrawal wouldn’t be happening any time soon.

An assistant to a senior Middle East official on Biden’s National Security Council said the administration had given “assurances” to the US-backed Kurdish forces in Syria that the US would not be leaving. Earlier in October, a Syrian Kurdish official traveled to Washington and met with Biden officials who promised the US would continue its military presence in Syria.

Israel Calls the Fight for Palestinian Rights ‘Terror’ – and So Turns Reality on Its Head

It certainly looked that way last Friday as Israel’s defense minister – who has been presented as a force for moderation in an Israeli government led by the settler right – declared six leading Palestinian human rights groups to be “terrorist organizations”.

The move effectively outlaws the most prominent organizations in the Palestinian human rights community.

Despite the eternal bonds so often lauded by Israeli and US officials, President Joe Biden’s administration appeared to be caught off-guard by the announcement, despite claims from Israel that Washington had been forewarned.

Israeli officials were reported on Sunday to be preparing to fly to the US to share intelligence justifying the new “terror list”.

The Patriot Act is 20 years old. It shouldn't survive to 21.

Tuesday is the 20th anniversary of the Patriot Act, the sweeping authorization of invasive federal surveillance powers passed shortly after the 9/11 attacks of 2001. Congress should observe the two-decade mark by starting work to repeal the law in full.

Much like the Iraq War in 2003, the Patriot Act began with lies. The George W. Bush administration claimed its changes would be "modest" and "incremental," characterizing the law as a means of taking "existing legal principles and retrofitt[ing] them to preserve the lives and liberty of the American people from the challenges posed by a global terrorist network." As civil libertarians argued at the time and subsequent years have demonstrated ad nauseum — not least via the 2013 revelations of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden — none of that was true.

Oct 27 05:34

20 years later, it's time to move on from mass surveillance

In the weeks after 9/11, Congress rushed to pass the Patriot Act with little debate. It quickly became a global symbol of excessive executive power. The law gave the government authority to spy on Americans’ communications, track their associations, and monitor their financial transactions. It made it far easier for the government to issue “National Security Letters,” requiring companies to turn over phone records and account information without court approval. It expanded the FBI’s ability to use surveillance tools designed for tracking foreign spies, and allowed the FBI to conduct “sneak-and-peek” searches of homes, offices and other property.

Today, 20 years after President George W. Bush signed the Patriot Act into law, many of its provisions remain on the books and the surveillance state continues to expand. It’s past time for that to change.

Report: Sudan Coup Leader Informed US of Plan to Seize Power

According to a report from Axios, Sudan’s new leader General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who seized power Monday, told the US of the military’s plans to take control of the government a day before the coup.

Jeffrey Feltman, the US special envoy for the Horn of Africa, met with al-Burhan on Sunday, and the Sudanese general said the military might take control of the government from former Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok.

On Monday, Feltman met with both al-Burahn and Hamdock to discuss tensions between Sudan’s civilian leadership and the military. Just hours after the meeting, the military seized power.

In response to the coup, the US has condemned the move and suspended $700 million in financial aid for Sudan. Last year, the US agreed to provide assistance to Sudan after the Trump administration removed Sudan from the state sponsor of terrorism list.

Palestinians outraged as Israel resumes 'bulldozing' ancient Muslim cemetery

A group of Palestinian Islamic scholars slammed Israel on Monday for resuming efforts to destroy an ancient East Jerusalem Muslim graveyard.

The Palestinian Muslim Scholars Association said that Israel has failed to consider Muslim sentiment in its plans to transform the Al-Yusufiyah Cemetery into a "biblical" park.

They accused Israel of trying to "Judaize" the ancient Muslim cemetery, and said that this would increase tensions with Israel, which has illegally occupied East Jerusalem since 1967.

The association said that Islamic scholars should continue to expose Israeli efforts to "Judaize" Palestinian areas of Jerusalem.

The CEO Of Blackstone Is Warning That “A Real Shortage Of Energy” Will Cause Social Unrest All Over The Planet

We are facing an unprecedented global energy crunch.  Demand for energy is continually rising, and the production of energy is not keeping pace.  One of the biggest reasons for this is that large financial institutions have become extremely hesitant to fund any new energy projects that will add more carbon emissions to the environment.  Instead, they want to fund projects that will help us transition to the new “green economy”, but meanwhile we are getting to a point where we will soon see widespread shortages of traditional forms of energy.  So now we all get to suffer.  A lack of oil is pushing the price of gasoline to alarming heights, shortages of natural gas are already causing tremendous disruptions in Asia and Europe, we are being told that we are facing a propane “armageddon” this winter, and supplies of coal have dropped to dangerously low levels around the world.

Resisting the Menace of Face Recognition

By Adam Schwartz

Face recognition technology is a special menace to privacy, racial justice, free expression, and information security. Our faces are unique identifiers, and most of us expose them everywhere we go. And unlike our passwords and identification numbers, we can’t get a new face. So, governments and businesses, often working in partnership, are increasingly using our faces to track our whereabouts, activities, and associations.

Fortunately, people around the world are fighting back. A growing number of communities have banned government use of face recognition. As to business use, many communities are looking to a watershed Illinois statute, which requires businesses to get opt-in consent before extracting a person’s faceprint. EFF is proud to support laws like these...

PETA Calls on Fauci to Resign After (More) Allegations His Agency Funded Horrific Experiments on Puppies

By Jon Miltimore

Dr. Anthony Fauci, already facing calls for his ouster for allegedly lying to Congress about his agency’s funding of controversial genetic research at China’s Wuhan lab, is now facing political heat on a different front.

On Friday, a bipartisan group of lawmakers sent a letter to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NAID) and President Joe Biden requesting information regarding allegations that the government funded experiments that injected puppies with parasites.

CDC Director: Unvaccinated Police, Government Workers To Be Sent For "Education And Counseling"

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, the CDC Director Rochelle Walensky declared that the Biden regime is planning to provide vaccine hesitant police and other government workers with “education and counseling” to make them “comfortable” about taking the shots.

Walensky told Chris Wallace that “We have seen that these mandates are getting more and more people vaccinated.”

VAERS Admits Fewer Than 1% of Vaccine Adverse Events are Reported

The people behind the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) have admitted that “fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported” in an early grant:

“Adverse events from drugs and vaccines are common, but underreported. Although 25% of ambulatory patients experience an adverse drug event, less than 0.3% of all adverse drug events and 1-13% of serious events are reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Likewise, fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported. Low reporting rates preclude or slow the identification of “problem” drugs and vaccines that endanger public health.”

VAERS published their later numbers, and perhaps we should consider this data representative of fewer than 1% of vaccinated individuals:

'Serious enough for you now, Barack?' Furious parents tell Obama to apologize to vindicated couple and their daughter, who judge finds WAS raped by a boy in a skirt in school bathroom, after he called it 'fake outrage'

Furious parents and conservatives have told Barack Obama to apologize to a Loudoun County, Virginia, couple and their daughter who was raped by a skirt-wearing boy in a school bathroom in May, after the former President called the row encircling it 'fake outrage' and a 'phony trumped-up culture wars'.

On Monday, juvenile court judge Pamela Brooks ruled that the boy - who has not been named - did force himself on the 15-year-old girl on May 28 in the bathroom at Stone Ridge High School in Leesburg, Virginia.

The case drew national attention because the boy was wearing a skirt at the time and the girls' parents - Scott and Jessica Smith - said it was what they feared might happen more if Loudoun County Schools starts allowing boys into girls' bathrooms frequently as part of a progressive transgender policy.
