This new ransomware encrypts your data and makes some nasty threats, too

Cyber criminals are distributing a new form of ransomware in attacks against victims in which they not only encrypt the network, but also make threats to launch distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks and to harass employees and business partners if a ransom isn't paid.

Dubbed Yanluowang, the ransomware was uncovered by cybersecurity researchers in Broadcom Software's Symantec Threat Hunter team while they were investigating as attempted cyberattack against an undisclosed large organsation.

While the attempted attack wasn't successful, the investigation revealed a new form of ransomware. It also provided insight into how some cyber criminals are attempting to make attacks more effective – in this case, with the threat of additional attacks.

Schools starting to ban terms like ‘good’ and ‘bad’ when describing students’ behavior

According to reports, the headteacher of a school in England wanted to remove “emotional words” from classroom management, so the terms “good” and “bad” are no longer allowed to be used when describing student behavior.

Teachers at Loughborough Amherst School will now describe good and bad behavior as either “skillful or unskillful.” Headmaster Dr. Julian Murphy stated that the policy, loaned from Buddhism, was “designed to take the emotional heat out of language.”

Dr. Murphy said that while he did not want teachers to be “soft,” he didn’t want them to be “shouty” either, or to make “pupils feel guilty.” He added:

“I think it’s human psychology, even when you’re an adult – if people make you feel guilty, then you get angry and then actually that’s when you’re likely to play the blame game and not to work that well. That’s when things get into a big of a vicious cycle.”

Most Americans Do Not Understand the Horror of the Coming Inflation Wave

If you are 55 years old or younger you do not have living memory of what it means when inflation takes hold of our economy. It is not merely that you the price of everything goes up. It is a recipe for killing the economy and will feed a black market and reduce the revenue that governments–local, state and federal–rely on to provide services.

The political power of Facebook

The most important political player on the Internet is the social network Facebook. As of January 1st, 2021, it had 2.85 billion monthly active users and 1.88 billion daily active users worldwide. The social network routinely censors posts that include nude photos, sexual activity, harassment, hate speech, forgeries, spam, terrorist propaganda or violence using particularly crude and unfair artificial intelligence. It shuts down accounts that it deems dangerous, either because they have been censored several times or because they are linked to enemies of the United States.

Facebook is a huge company that includes Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Oculus, Workplace, Portal, Novi. It employs over 60,000 people.

Facebook now issues its own currency as a state, the Libra. It is backed by a basket of currencies composed of 50% dollars, 14% yen, 11% Serling pounds and 7% Singapore dollars [1].

FLASHBACK - Facebook, Cambridge Analytica and data mining: What you need to know

Consultants working for Donald Trump's presidential campaign exploited the personal Facebook data of millions.

Last month, The New York Times and the UK's Guardian and Observer newspapers broke news the social networking giant was duped by researchers, who reportedly gained access to the data of millions of Facebook users and then may have misused it for political ads during the 2016 US presidential election. Facebook said it was investigating the reports, which involved data consultancy Cambridge Analytica.

Over the past three-plus weeks, the situation has snowballed. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was in Washington this week to testify before Congress. Meanwhile, the number of accounts affected has risen to 87 million from initial reports of 50 million. Separately, Facebook said it was purging pages linked to a Russian troll farm that's known for creating fake online identities and posting on both sides of politically divisive issues.

Deplorable Until Proven Compliant: Kafka, Social Credit, & Critical Theory

The new social credit system uses weaponised sociology and mass psychology such that the plutocratic ruling class can transform, with little disruption normally associated with the rotation of elites, into a post-financial technocracy. Therefore, the old social credit system of consumer credit, and likewise systems of law, become moribund. They are replaced by revolutionary methods of social control which a.) uses a sinister trauma-bonded ‘empathic-intuition’ method, at the individual level, b.) alongside pre-crime and permanent guilt as a systemic foundation, c.) and the loss of the 6th Amendment’s guarantee to know the crimes (and evidence) one is accused of.

While the concerned public is familiar with the material technologies in plans of technocrats through various leaked documents, the exposure of summits and societies dedicated to this nefarious cause, the dark anti-human agenda that guides these goes even beyond the understanding of the well-informed.

Delingpole: Prince Charles Is a Blithering Green Idiot

Prince Charles is a blithering green idiot. Obviously this is a headline that could have been written any time in at least the last 30 years. But someone needs to remind the toxic, airheaded nincompoop that he doesn’t speak for all of us. And since no one is going to say this anywhere in the fawning, worthless and obsolete legacy media, I guess the job will have to fall to me…

Here is the Prattish Prince’s latest idiocy. It’s a BBC interview in which Charles effectively lends his royal imprimatur to eco-fascist groups such as Extinction Rebellion and their side project Insulate Britain.

Sure, he starts cautiously by gently chiding their methods: “It isn’t helpful, I don’t think, to do it in a way that alienates people.”

But having got that neat little piece of arse-covering out of the way, he quickly flashes his true colours:

Asked if he sympathised with Greta Thunberg, the climate campaigner who has also criticised leaders for failing to act, he said:?”Of course I do, yes.

Deducing the Deadliness of SARS-CoV-2

By Julie Beal

SARS-CoV-2 is supposed to be a deadly virus and yet there is little evidence for this – there are plenty of doctors who say they’ve got patients for covid, but the total number of deaths remained mostly normal until the injections began. For a virus to be classed as ‘deadly’, most people would expect there to be a higher than average death toll, but this hasn’t happened with SARS-CoV-2.

Why, then, do most of the experts continue to believe that SARS-CoV-2 is a dangerous and deadly virus? It could be partly because they’ve been convinced for a long time that coronaviruses are dangerous (both SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV were thought to be lethal, based on the case:fatality ratio). They might also be caught up in the mass hysteria being sustained by the media, but on the whole, it seems to be a function of the way viruses are studied. Here is what the science shows...

Boris moves to save Christmas pigs-in-blankets: Ministers expected to U-turn and confirm visas for 1,000 foreign butchers after farmers warned more than 100,000 animals face destruction because of staff shortage

Hundreds of overseas butchers are set to be allowed into Britain ease the UK's Christmas meat crisis.

Ministers are expected to U-turn and create visas for foreign slaughterers in the run-up to the festive season as a massive cull of pigs gets underway.

Boris Johnson's government had attempted to play down the impact of the wasting of up to 100,000 pigs which face being thrown away because they cannot be professionally butchered for sale.

It had previously resisted calls for foreign workers to be allowed to make up for a shortfall in trained British staff.

But multiple Whitehall sources told the Daily Mail that ministers have bowed to increasing pressure from industry and are finalising plans to allow about 1,000 skilled workers to relieve UK abattoirs.

Farmers have been warning more than 100,000 pigs face destruction in the coming days because of a shortage of butchers to process their meat.

Cities Lead the Way in (Another) Massive Fall Exodus from US Public Schools

By Kerry McDonald

Many parents pulled their children out of school last year for homeschooling and other private options, as schools remained shuttered due to the coronavirus response. Nationwide, homeschooling numbers tripled last year from their pre-pandemic levels, driven largely by black families who left district schools for homeschooling at the highest rate of any demographic group and are now over-represented in the homeschooling population compared to K-12 public schools. With most schools open for full-time, in-person learning this year, it seemed reasonable to assume that parents would eagerly re-enroll their children in their local district school, tabling last year’s alternative education plans.

Hundreds of Miners Protest as EU Moves to Kill Coal Jobs in Name of Green Agenda

Hundreds of Bulgarian coal miners and energy workers staged a protest on Wednesday to demand government guarantees for their jobs amid bids by the European Union to close mines and reduce carbon emissions.

Buses carried protesters from across Bulgaria for the rally in downtown Sofia, where demonstrators chanted “We want jobs” as they marched to the headquarters of the government.

Bulgarian miners say the EU’s timeframe for closing coal mining and coal extraction is too short and argue it shouldn’t come at the expense of the bloc’s poorest and most carbon-dependent regions.

Transracialism: UK Teachers Union Members Allowed to Self-Identify as Black

A leading higher education trade union in Britain has drawn criticism after supporting so-called trans-racialism, in which people can self-identify as another race.

Last week, the Edinburgh branch of the University and College Union (UCU) wrote on social media to reassert its position in favour of “trans inclusion”, saying that “liberation cannot be built on exclusion”.

The post linked to a 2019 document entitled “UCU position on trans inclusion”, in which the union argued for its members to be able to self-identify as “being black, disabled, LGBT+ or women”.

A staff member at Edinburgh University, who declined to be named out of fear of drawing the ire of the union, told The Times that the issue of trans rights was being “weaponised” in order to force out academics who fail to follow the party line.

“The branch is being used as a platform for an ideological crusade, with no resistance from University of Edinburgh management,” they said.

Watch: BBC Anchor Claims "People Are Over" Arguing Against Surveillance State

Following the announcement that police in the UK are setting up a scheme to use CCTV cameras to watch women at night to make them ‘feel safer’, Madeline Stone of the privacy advocate group Big Brother Watch argued that there are already masses of surveillance cameras everywhere and they do not make people any safer or prevent crime.

Stone emphasised that adding more cameras strips away privacy and is in no way a solution to the problem, including harassment of and violence against women.

“But the woman is asking for the camera to be on them, so this is not a breach of civil liberties,” the anchor responded, referring to the scheme which uses an opt-in app.

Stone replied that having an anonymous stranger tracking a woman’s movements via a camera isn’t going to help, but was continuously interrupted by the anchor who repeatedly stated “if it’s something that’s going to make you feel safer,” it will be welcomed.

Finland Will Lobby The EU To Give Nuclear Power "Sustainable" Status

It looks as though Finland is starting to come back around to the idea of nuclear power - and that they plan on taking their advocacy for the clean energy to the European Union. The country will now lobby the EU for a "sustainable" label on nuclear power.

Chicago police union head urges cops to defy vaccine mandate

The head of the Chicago police officers union has called on its members to defy the city’s requirement to report their COVID-19 vaccination status by Friday or be placed on unpaid leave.

In the video posted online Tuesday and first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara vowed to take Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s administration to court if it tries to enforce the mandate, which requires city workers to report their vaccine status by the end of the work week. After Friday, unvaccinated workers who won’t submit to semiweekly coronavirus testing will be placed on unpaid leave.

Catanzara suggested that if the city does enforce its requirement and many union members refuse to comply with it, “It’s safe to say that the city of Chicago will have a police force at 50% or less for this weekend coming up.”
