NATO Claims ‘Immunity’ to Serbian Lawsuits on Use of Depleted Uranium in 1999 Bombings

The Western alliance spent 78 days bombing Yugoslavia in 1999, contaminating the Balkan nation with at least 15 tonnes of highly toxic depleted uranium (DU) munitions. Serbian attorneys have filed multiple lawsuits against NATO, but have yet to receive any formal admission of wrongdoing by the alliance for its actions.

NATO has formally responded to lawsuits filed by Serbs with the Belgrade High Court over the bloc’s DU munitions use during the 1999 bombing campaign, claiming immunity from prosecution, Srdan Aleksic, a lawyer representing victims, has told Sputnik Serbia.

“In its statement to the court, NATO’s liaison office in Serbia indicated that the alliance has full immunity under Serbian jurisdiction on the basis of the 2005 agreement between the alliance and the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro ‘On the transit participation and support of peacekeeping operations,’ and the 2006 agreement under which the liaison office in Belgrade was created,” Aleksic said.

The attorney dismissed the ‘immunity’ claims, insisting that “none of these agreements gives immunity to NATO as an organization, and immunity cannot be applied retroactively. Therefore, NATO cannot receive immunity for war crimes against civilians and for its illegal aggression under the 2005 agreement.”

Hungary will order large, mainly multinational, corporations to hand over “extra profits”

Hungary intends to fund the military and social safety programs by taxing banks, insurance companies, airlines, energy and telecom utilities and others, Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced on Wednesday.

It is his first action under a state of emergency that Budapest has just enacted, citing the conflict in neighboring Ukraine.

“We ask and we expect that those who made extra profit in this time of war help the people and contribute to the national defense budget,” Orban said in a video posted on Facebook.

In a follow-up post, Orban said that a “drastic increase in prices” was due to the ongoing conflict and the “sanctions policy in Brussels,” while “banks and large multinational companies” are reaping extra profits thanks to rising interest rates.

To fund the military and social safety networks, the Hungarian government has set up two funds, and will “require banks, insurers, major trade chains, energy and retail companies, telecommunications companies and airlines to deposit a large portion of their extra profits” there.

Gun Rights Are More Important Than False Security And Appeasing Leftists

If there is one Holy Grail target that the political left obsesses over more that anything else, it is getting their hands on the 2nd Amendment and molding it to their will or erasing it forever.

The pursuit of American gun rights is paramount to them, beyond critical race theory, beyond gender politics, even beyond the abortion debate. The problem for them is that ever since the Obama era they have consistently hit a brick wall in terms of convincing the general public to give another inch of ground when it comes to gun control.

To be sure, there are many reasons for this that coincide.

First, the credit crash of 2008 opened many people’s eyes to the possibility that the economic systems we take for granted today could disappear tomorrow. Gun rights were no longer a matter of “tradition,” but a matter of necessity.

If the system breaks down and emergency services are overwhelmed or disappear then the only person you can rely on to protect your family is you. Mortal realities always win over emotional and reactionary demands. In other words, the benefits of individual self protection greatly outweigh any potential risks of criminality or abuse.

Escobar: NATO vs Russia - What Happens Next

Three months after the start of Russia’s Operation Z in Ukraine, the battle of The West (12 percent) against The Rest (88 percent) keeps metastasizing. Yet the narrative – oddly – remains the same.

On Monday, from Davos, World Economic Forum Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab introduced Ukrainian comedian-cum-President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the latest leg of his weapons-solicitation-tour, with a glowing tribute. Herr Schwab stressed that an actor impersonating a president defending neo-Nazis is supported by “all of Europe and the international order.”

He means, of course, everyone except the 88 percent of the planet that subscribes to the Rule of Law – instead of the faux construct the west calls a ‘rules-based international order.’

Back in the real world, Russia, slowly but surely has been rewriting the Art of Hybrid War. Yet within the carnival of NATO psyops, aggressive cognitive infiltration, and stunning media sycophancy, much is being made of the new $40 billion US ‘aid’ package to Ukraine, deemed capable of becoming a game-changer in the war.

The NHS Just Edited Their Monkeypox Page... To Make It Scarier

Firstly, they removed a paragraph from the “How do you get Monkeypox?” section.

Up until a few days ago, according to archived links, the Monkeypox page said this, regarding person-to-person tranmission [emphasis added]:

It’s very uncommon to get monkeypox from a person with the infection because it does not spread easily between people.

...this has now been totally removed.

Secondly, they’ve removed this paragraph, which was present up until at least November of 2021 (and maybe much more recently, there are no archives between November and May) [emphasis added]:

[Monkeypox] is usually a mild illness that will get better on its own without treatment. Some people can develop more serious symptoms, so patients with monkeypox in the UK are cared for in specialist hospitals.

The new “treatment” paragraph reads [again, emphasis added]…

Treatment for monkeypox aims to relieve symptoms. The illness is usually mild and most people recover in 2 to 4 weeks […] You may need to stay in a specialist hospital, so your symptoms can be treated and to prevent the infection spreading to other people.

So, they remove that it will “get better on its own”, and again reinforce the idea of spreading the disease despite this being described as “very uncommon” as recently as last week.

They even add a line about self-isolating, which was never mentioned before: as monkeypox can spread if there is close contact, you will need to be isolated if you’re diagnosed with it.

Russia's Oil Export Loophole Runs Through Greece

Last month, we reported that India had doubled down on Russian oil after the west slapped a chain of sanctions on Moscow. India has never been a big buyer of Russian crude despite needing to import 80% of its needs. In a typical year, India imports just 2-5% of its crude from Russia, roughly the same proportion as the United States did before it announced a 100% ban on Russian energy commodities. Indeed, India imported only 12 million barrels of Russian crude in 2021, with the majority of its oil coming from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Nigeria.

But reports emerged of a "significant uptick" in Russian oil deliveries bound for India. Matt Smith, the lead oil analyst at Kpler, told CNBC that since the beginning of March, five cargoes of Russian oil, or about 6 million barrels, have been loaded and are bound for India. In other words, India imported half as much crude from Russia in one month as it did in an entire year.

China, on the other hand, had seen crude imports from Russia in the first two months of the year actually declined 9.1% to 1.57 mb/d largely due to a government crackdown on private Chinese refiners known as teapots. But with years of experience shipping banned Iranian oil using various cloaking methods, China is expected to remain one of Russia's biggest oil customers.

Well, it appears that Russia won't be lacking new buyers of its deeply discounted Urals any time soon.

Did The Fed Just Signal When Rate Hikes Will End?

One of the notable features of the May FOMC statement is that unlike back in March, it came with no projection materials. But that doesn't mean that the Fed staff did not discuss - and revise - their economic and inflation forecasts.

Indeed, as the "Staff Economic Outlook" section in today's Minutes reveals, "the staff's projection for PCE price inflation was revised up slightly in the second half of 2022 and in 2023 in response to the slow resolution of supply constraints seen over the first part of 2022, a higher projected path for import prices, and a judgment that wage increases would put more upward pressure on services prices than previously assumed." All told, the Minutes conclude, "total PCE price inflation was expected to be 4.3 percent in 2022. PCE price inflation was then expected to step down to 2.5 percent in 2023 and to 2.1 percent in 2024 as supply–demand imbalances in the economy were reduced by slowing aggregate demand and an anticipated easing of supply constraints."

This matters a lot, because as Bloomberg's Vincent Cignarella calculates, while most Fed officials agreed that the central bank would continue to tighten in 50bps increments over the next couple of meetings, continuing an aggressive set of moves that would leave policy makers with flexibility to shift gears later if needed, it may not last long at all.

And, as Cignarella concludes referring to the Fed's updated PCE forecast (which ends 2022 at 4.3% but then drops to 2.5% in 2023 and 2.1% in 2024), "if their forecast is accurate, it would imply the next expected three half-point rate hikes would be the end of the current tightening cycle and set the stage for a major risk rally into second half of 2022."

'Let’s rush in because the cops aren’t doing anything': Parents frustrated with 'unprepared' police outside Texas massacre school debated storming the building THEMSELVES while gunman was holed up inside for 90 minutes

Frantic parents of the children murdered in their Texas school screamed at law enforcement officers to enter the school and discussed storming the building to rescue their kids, harrowing footage shows, as it emerged that the gunman was only stopped when authorities obtained a key to open the classroom door.

New footage shows the chaotic crowd outside the school, as heavily-armed sheriffs and law enforcement stand guard and hold them back - in one case, seemingly wrestling a panic-stricken woman to the ground and pinning her down.

'What are you doing? Get inside the building!' one person can be heard screaming.

Mike Whitney: “I’m going to go out on a limb here and say there is zero chance that this new monkeypox occurred naturally”

What do you think the chances are that an oddball affliction, like monkeypox, could spontaneously break out in 10 different locations around the world – where it had never appeared before – at the exact same time?

How about “zero” chance? Is that too high?

What if monkeypox is not, in fact, a naturally occurring virus but merely the next phase of a relentless war on individual freedom and the basic institutions of modern civilization?

A New World Health Organization Report Once Again Proves Sweden Right

Throughout the pandemic, Sweden has faced an enormous amount of criticism and international pressure due to their willingness to stick to established public health principles and pre-pandemic planning.

Instead of following the incessant, anti-science groupthink that became part of a virus-induced political religion, Sweden chose instead to not impose the strict lockdowns that Dr. Fauci recently claimed were not tried in the US.

Sweden never mandated masks be worn in indoor public spaces, correctly identifying the lack of evidence supporting their use.

They kept schools open in defiance of teacher’s unions and politically motivated “experts” in the United States who advocated for a policy with zero benefits and tremendous harms.

While the advances by the warring sides were stopped in other regions, the area of Popasnaya became the main foothold for the advance of Russian-led forces in the Donbass region.

The assault on Severodonetsk continues. Fighting reached the outskirts of the city. Russian-led forces established control and completely mopped up the Shchedrishchevo district. The AFU attempt to reinforce their positions from Lisichansk. They are transferring military equipment through the last bridge remaining between the two cities.

The reinforcement of the AFU grouping in the Severodonetsk region is a very risky decision for the Ukrainian military command. Almost all the main roads leading to the cities have been cut off.

Advancing form Popasnaya, Russian-led forces have recently taken control over the villages of Vyskriva, Tripolie and Novaya Kamenka. The AFU acknowledged that Russian-led forces had reached the town of Soledar. This threatens, the main supply road for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Severodonetsk region.

On May 22, the AFU recognized the loss of Vladimirovka. The village is located to the east of Bakhmut, where Ukrainian positions are already being shelled by Russian artillery.

The video shows fighters of the reconnaissance platoon of the 1st Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the LPR assaulting the Ukrainian militants’ stronghold “Rascheska”, on the approach to the “29 block post”.

In the beginning of the video, a Ukrainian soldier is seen running into an assaulting unit and is killed by counter fire. Next, another AFU soldier took cover in a firing cell. One LPR soldier run forward, leaving the AFU soldier on his left, who was trapped. Then there was a mutual throwing of grenades, with the AFU soldier throwing back at least one grenade, which had fell near him. However, the LPR soldiers acted in a well-coordinated manner and finally covered the enemy with grenade shrapnel. The AFU soldier was seriously wounded.

In general, two facts should be noted. These are the competent actions of the LPR reconnaissance unit and the high morale demonstrated by the Ukrainian soldier fighting to the end. We hope that this AFU soldier survived.

China and Russia Conduct 13 Hour Joint Pacific Bomber Patrol as Biden Seeks to Rally Regional Allies

On May 24 China and Russia concluded a joint 13 hour bomber patrol in the Pacific, which was the latest of several carried out over four consecutive years beginning in July 2019. It was described by Chinese state media outlet the Global Times as demonstrating “a high level of military cooperation between the two major powers that contributes to peace and stability in the region and the world at a time when both countries are facing stern, provocative pressure from the U.S. and the West.” The patrol coincided with a visit by United States President Joe Biden to the region widely seen to be aimed at rallying potential partners for a collective hard line against Beijing. Bombers involved included Chinese H-6K and Russian Tu-95MS platforms, with Russian Su-30SM fighters also having been involved. Japan notably scrambled fighters during the patrol, with the Defence Ministry in Tokyo identifying four H-6 bombers, two Tu-95 bombers and a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft in the Sea of Japan. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy has maintained a strong presence in Northeast Asia near American bases in Japan including deployment of the aircraft carrier Liaoning for exercises earlier in the month and more recently the transit of two Type 054A frigates through the Tsushima Strait.

Russian Defence Minister Warns of Future Ukrainian Nuclear Weapons Arsenal

In the latest of multiple similar warnings from Russian officials, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu warned on March 24 that there was a significant threat of Ukraine developing nuclear weapons and accompanying delivery vehicles. This followed indications by Ukrainian officials just days before the outbreak of war between the two countries that Kiev could abandon the Budapest Memorandum signed in 1994 which prevented it from acquiring nuclear arms. Minister Shoigu also alleged that there was evidence of “a network of more than 30 biological laboratories involved in the U.S. Military biological programme was created [in Ukraine]. Documents show that the research [in these laboratories] was carried out secretly in violation of international obligations," and that components of biological weapons had been manufactured near Russia’s own borders. These claims were made at a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO), where members Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Belarus were all represented, and also echo prior allegations from Moscow that the United States was pursuing a biological weapons program on the territories of Soviet successor states aimed at Russia.

Soros calls for Putin's defeat

Unless Russia is quickly defeated in Ukraine, the collective West won’t be able to address climate change in time to save civilization, billionaire financier George Soros told the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday. He also called Russia and China the greatest threats to his concept of open society.

Bill Gates paid millions to derail Elon Musk’s plans – media

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into 11 of the 26 organizations backing an effort to prevent fellow billionaire Elon Musk from taking over social media platform Twitter, according to data shared with Breitbart by the Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO).

Among the 11 Gates-backed organizations reportedly spearheading the effort to sandbag Musk’s Twitter acquisition by pressuring advertisers to boycott the platform is the New Venture Fund, a ‘dark money’ organization that in 2020 received the largest one-year commitment the Foundation has made in over five years. The group funds the Center for Media Justice, the Media Democracy Fund, the National Hispanic Media Coalition, and Accountable Tech, all of which signed the open letter backing the advertiser boycott, and has received some 102 separate cash grants from Gates’ foundation since 2008, amounting to $457 million in all, according to the Foundation’s own financial disclosures. Other signatories, like the Sixteen Thirty Fund, are subsidiaries of the New Venture Fund.

Man of action Mitt Romney considers obliteration

Am I mistaken or are those nuclear weapons that I see poised just beyond the crest of yonder hill? And what does their presence suggest?

As the Ukraine War continues to drag on, few pundits and even fewer elected officials are eager to discuss publicly such sensitive questions. Credit Senator Mitt Romney, Republican of Utah, with having the gumption to take them on, even if his answers remind us just how terrifying such matters can be. When it comes to contemplating the possible use of nuclear weapons, strategy invariably ends up exposing the absence of strategy.

For the United States in recent decades, war has become something of a habit. The proxy war in which it is presently engaged is different from all the others: In this instance, the enemy has at hand a massive nuclear arsenal.

Suppressed Memo: Eli Lilly Hid Increase in Suicidal Thoughts and Aggression with Prozac for Years

It would seem that every time there is a mass shooting in this country, the shooter has either been taking psychotropic medications, usually in the form of antidepressants, or the shooter has recently quit taking antidepressants.

It is well known that these medications can cause suicidal thoughts, especially in young people up to around age 24. If a medicine can cause suicidal thoughts, it would only follow that it can possibly cause violent or homicidal thoughts as well.

A multitude of studies have linked antidepressants to everything from birth defects (including a very serious birth defect called persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, causing the Food and Drug Administration to place a black box warning on them) to increased suicidal tendencies (causing the FDA to update the initial black box warning to include an additional suicidal tendencies warning).

Eli Lilly, the pharmaceutical giant that brought us Prozac, knew this from its own trials as far back as 1984, but the company kept it from the public and the FDA for years, long after the drug was approved in 1988. This information only came to light through a highly controversial litigation.

Trump to ‘Deliver Important Address’ at NRA Convention in Wake of Texas Shooting

President Donald Trump will take the stage at the National Rifle Association’s 2022 Convention, where he says he’ll deliver an important address and offer solutions following Tuesday’s school shooting in Texas.

Posting to Truth Social Wednesday, Trump said he would keep his commitment to speak at the event Friday as the country is in dire need of solutions and leadership, not partisanship.

Twitter to pay $150 million fine over deceptively collected data

Federal regulators Wednesday announced that Twitter will pay a $150 million fine to settle allegations that it deceptively used email address and phone numbers it had collected to target advertising, in one of the largest privacy settlements federal regulators have reached with a tech giant.

The Federal Trade Commission and the Justice Department said the company also will be banned from profiting off the “deceptively collected” data and be required to notify the more than 140 million users who were affected that it used their phone numbers and email addresses for advertising, according to a news release about the settlement. And the company will be required to implement and maintain a new privacy program that will require the company to review the security risks of new products.

“The $150 million penalty reflects the seriousness of the allegations against Twitter, and the substantial new compliance measures to be imposed as a result of today’s proposed settlement will help prevent further misleading tactics that threaten users’ privacy,” Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta said in a release.

‘Horrifying’ conspiracy theories swirl around Texas shooting

By now it’s as predictable as the calls for thoughts and prayers: A mass shooting leaves many dead, and wild conspiracy theories and misinformation about the carnage soon follow.

Biden Administration’s Ministry of Truth Stumbles

Finally some good news – maybe! The Department of Homeland Security’s recently launched Disinformation Governance Board has gone into what has been described as the “pause” mode and its controversial Director Nina Jankowicz has resigned, citing “vile personal attacks and physical threats.” Its status will reportedly be reviewed over the next 75 days and it will likely be rolled out more quietly next time around and under a different name.

The Board was developed to counter what was held to be unfair criticism of policies being promoted by the government. Ironically, however, it has recently become clear that the White House itself has been doing much of the lying. It uses the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other government agencies to spread false information, referred to as disinformation, to dupe the public into believing that there is something good and noble about America becoming heavily involved in the war in Ukraine, with all that entails. And, of course, since the evildoers must be excoriated as that drama is playing out, good old Russia fits in admirably, particularly as the Democrats still like to pretend that it was Moscow’s interference that defeated Hillary in 2016.

Obama Is Sore That Latest School Shooting Is Distracting From Second Anniversary Of The Death Of George Floyd

As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.

Russia will pay debt in rubles due to US refusal to renew license — Finance Ministry

Russia will continue to fulfill its obligations on external public debt, despite the refusal of the US Treasury to renew the license for servicing it, payments will be made in rubles, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

"The Finance Ministry, as a responsible borrower, confirms its readiness to continue servicing and repaying all debt obligations. Taking into account that the refusal to renew the specified license makes it impossible to continue servicing the state external debt in US dollars, payments will be made in the currency of the Russian Federation with the possibility of their subsequent conversion into the original currency of the obligation through NCO JSC National Settlement Depository as a paying agent," the ministry explains.

According to the ministry, the refusal to renew the license infringes on the rights of foreign investors and undermines confidence in Western financial infrastructure.

Five foreign vessels leave port of Mariupol

Five foreign vessels could leave the port owing to the work of specialists from Russia's Black Sea Fleet. They towed away a sunken Ukrainian border patrol ship from the fairway.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the port of Mariupol had been completely cleared of mines and started working as usual. Sappers examined 134 structures, detected and neutralized more than 12,000 explosive items and units of weaponry.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu announced the takeover of the city by the Russian military on May 4. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine started yielding themselves prisoners on May 16. As of May 20, as many as 2,439 servicemen left the blocked territory of the Azovstal steel plant.

Russian media reveal the name of the next possible Ukrainian president

The authors of MK suggest that in the current realities, Zelensky's place can be taken by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny.

Davos: Stoltenberg gives keynote speech, meets Schwab, hails “freedom over free trade”

In a keynote speech to the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday (24 May 2022), NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that “freedom is more important than free trade” and that the “protection of our values is more important than profit.”

An important lesson from Russia’s war against Ukraine is that the West should not trade long-term security needs for short-term economic interests, Mr Stoltenberg said….

Mr Stoltenberg described Russia’s war against Ukraine as a “game-changer” for the global order, stressing that NATO’s role is to avoid the conflict from spreading while continuing to help Ukraine defend itself. He made clear NATO would defend “every inch of NATO territory”, as demonstrated by major reinforcements to the Alliance’s collective deterrence and defence, including 100,000 troops now on high alert.

Could it have been just another case of bumbling poor judgment, the mind softened as the mouth opened? A question was put to US President Joe Biden, visiting Tokyo and standing beside Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida: “You didn’t want to get involved in the Ukraine conflict militarily for obvious reasons. Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?” The answer: “Yes. That’s a commitment we made.”

Biden was again flatly committing the US to a conflict over Taiwan should China deploy its forces. He has done so on two previous occasions, showing either a degree of ignorance, or a willingness to throw caution to the wind. The first took place during an interview with ABC News in August, when he equated Taiwan’s status to those of other allies such as South Korea. The second, in a CNN town hall, took place in October, when he stated that the US had “a commitment to do that”.

In doing so a third time, he was helping no one in particular, and taking the hammer to the strategic ambiguity that has marked US-Taiwan policy for decades. The only thing that could have been taken away from it is a reminder to Beijing that they are not facing a cautious superpower steered by a sage, but a government not unwilling to shed blood over Taiwan.

U.S. should prepare for a ‘cornered, delusional’ Vladimir Putin using nuclear weapons, Mitt Romney says

The United States and NATO should prepare for a Russian nuclear strike if a “cornered and delusional” Vladimir Putin should turn to those weapons in his country’s ongoing war in Ukraine, Sen. Mitt Romney says.

Russia’s foreign minister and its ambassador to the U.S. have both signaled that Russia’s “debacle” in Ukraine could lead to a nuclear strike, and Putin himself has noted that he has weapons his opponents do not and that he will “use them, if needed,” according to the Utah Republican.

CIA Director William Burns has warned of the possibility that Putin could use a tactical nuclear weapon, even if there is no “practical evidence” right now to suggest it is imminent.

“We should imagine the unimaginable, specifically how we would respond militarily and economically to such a seismic shift in the global geopolitical terrain,” Romney wrote in an essay for The New York Times over the weekend.

Conference Room in Germany Morphs Into Nerve Center for Western Weapons Shipments to Ukraine

Two blocks from a casino and Burger King is a medium-sized room covered with a blue carpet that until four months ago was occasionally used to welcome personnel starting their jobs at the United States' European Command headquarters.

The fourth-floor room in the General Bernard Rogers Conference Center on a U.S. Army base in Germany has become the center of Western efforts to give billions of dollars in weapons and nonlethal aid to Ukrainian forces to help Kyiv push back against Russia's invasion of the country.

Two text journalists accompanying U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks were given access to the U.S- and British-led weapons transfer center for the first time on Tuesday.

The room, which operates 24 hours a day and holds about 100 military personnel from two dozen countries, is lined with television monitors attached to the ceiling, with small teams working on different parts of the mammoth operation to move weapons into Europe and eventually into Ukrainian hands.

Germany's Scholz Says Unacceptable to Side With Russia on Ukraine War

It is unacceptable that some countries side with Russia over the Ukraine war, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Tuesday at a news conference in Pretoria.

"There are some countries that have voted on the side of Russia. That I cannot accept and it is unacceptable," Scholz told a joint news conference with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in Pretoria.

South Africa abstained in March from a U.N. resolution condemning Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

It is still important to discuss the effects of the Ukraine war to ensure it will end, Scholz said.

A new war is being prepared for after the defeat in the face of Russia

The war in Ukraine is a trompe l’oeil. Behind the appearances of the unity of NATO and its consolidation by new members, several big players run with the hare and hunt with the hounds. In reality, all those who are not blinded by their own propaganda know that their side is going to lose and is already planning other enemies on other battlefields. Washington is making the best of a bad situation and using Russian pressure to close ranks.

War on Humanity update: a dodgy treaty and treasonous politicians comprise the globalists’ latest wheeze

Definition: wheeze noun. UK slang for a clever and often unusual idea or plan, especially one that is intended to achieve a profit or some other advantage:

Globalist stooges planted in our governments by those seeking to establish themselves as herdsmen over the human race, which they consider to be cattle, intend to sign a treaty that will end even the pretense of liberty that we currently have.

The future intended for humanity by these psychopaths (who regard themselves the “very best people” whose crimes against their fellows are justified by their innate genetic superiority) is a micro-controlled biochemical hell.

The future intended for itself by humanity (not that we’ve ever been asked) is one of liberty and freedom from being lied to, controlled, intimidated, bullied and generally interfered with and mucked about by a parasitic aristocracy of monied degenerates. It is just about the very opposite in every respect of the dreadful one the globalists have in mind for us.

COVID UPDATE: What is the truth?

The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the most manipulated infectious disease events in history, characterized by official lies in an unending stream lead by government bureaucracies, medical associations, medical boards, the media, and international agencies.[3,6,57] We have witnessed a long list of unprecedented intrusions into medical practice, including attacks on medical experts, destruction of medical careers among doctors refusing to participate in killing their patients and a massive regimentation of health care, led by non-qualified individuals with enormous wealth, power and influence.

For the first time in American history a president, governors, mayors, hospital administrators and federal bureaucrats are determining medical treatments based not on accurate scientifically based or even experience based information, but rather to force the acceptance of special forms of care and “prevention”—including remdesivir, use of respirators and ultimately a series of essentially untested messenger RNA vaccines. For the first time in history medical treatment, protocols are not being formulated based on the experience of the physicians treating the largest number of patients successfully, but rather individuals and bureaucracies that have never treated a single patient—including Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, EcoHealth Alliance, the CDC, WHO, state public health officers and hospital administrators.[23,38]

The media (TV, newspapers, magazines, etc), medical societies, state medical boards and the owners of social media have appointed themselves to be the sole source of information concerning this so-called “pandemic”. Websites have been removed, highly credentialed and experienced clinical doctors and scientific experts in the field of infectious diseases have been demonized, careers have been destroyed and all dissenting information has been labeled “misinformation” and “dangerous lies”, even when sourced from top experts in the fields of virology, infectious diseases, pulmonary critical care, and epidemiology. These blackouts of truth occur even when this information is backed by extensive scientific citations from some of the most qualified medical specialists in the world.[23] Incredibly, even individuals, such as Dr. Michael Yeadon, a retired ex-Chief Scientist, and vice-president for the science division of Pfizer Pharmaceutical company in the UK, who charged the company with making an extremely dangerous vaccine, is ignored and demonized. Further, he, along with other highly qualified scientists have stated that no one should take this vaccine.

Seoul: N Korea fires suspected ICBM and 2 other missiles

North Korea test-launched a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile and two shorter-range weapons toward its eastern waters Wednesday, South Korea said, hours after President Joe Biden ended a trip to Asia where he reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to defend its allies in the face of the North’s nuclear threat.

The suspected ICBM didn’t fly its full range. But if confirmed, it would still be North Korea’s first test of an ICBM system in about two months amid stalled nuclear diplomacy with the United States. The launch suggests North Korea is determined to continue its efforts to modernize its arsenal despite its first COVID-19 outbreak, which has caused outside worries about a humanitarian disaster.

“North Korea’s sustained provocations can only result in stronger and faster South Korea-U.S. combined deterrence and can only deepen North Korea’s international isolation,” the South Korean government said in a statement after an emergency security meeting.

Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi called the launches “an act of provocation and absolutely impermissible.”

The intensely neoconservative U.S. President Joe Biden is leading the world into a World War III against both Russia and China, but despite the U.S. spending annually around half of the entire planet’s military expenditures (not only in its ‘Defense’ Department but in its Treasury Department and other Government agencies), America is actually inferior to both Russia and China regarding leading-edge geostrategically crucial technologies of both nuclear and laser weapons, and is getting farther behind each year, because for both Russia and China their own national sovereignty is what their enemy, the U.S. Government, aims to conquer, whereas no one poses a threat to the U.S. Government’s continuing rule over its own people (it becomes increasingly a police-state). The U.S. Government is the only and supreme champion of sanctions and coups and invasions for regime-change producing the creation of new vassal-nations throughout the globe, whereas both Russia and China must protect themselves from that or else become themselves new U.S. vassal-nations. So: they are laser-focused on NOT allowing America to grab their nation. Truly, for them, this is an existential issue, NOT a matter (such as is the case regarding the U.S. Government) of growing to become the world’s first and only all-encompassing global empire (a luxury that only America’s billionaires, who control the U.S. Government, require). This basic distinction is the reason why whereas the U.S. has over 800 military bases spread throughout the planet, Russia and China are concerned ONLY about not allowing U.S. forces to be based so near to their borders as to enable a U.S. missile to annihilate their capital’s command-and-control within less than ten minutes and so to enable the U.S. Government to grab control of them so fast that the targeted nation’s (Russia’s and China’s) retaliatory weapons won’t be launched in self-defense.

The World Bank’s Impractical Electric Car Clap-Trap

At a World Bank event in April, former chief economist Lord Nicholas Stern called for a global ban on the manufacture and sale of combustion engine vehicles. At COP26, a coalition of multilateral development banks signed a joint statement announcing their intentions to ‘increase the level of private capital mobilised’ to fight climate change. Activists were infuriated that it omitted divestments from funding fossil fuels. Both the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank have faced industry pressure to stop investing in internal combustion engine vehicles by 2025. Sixty-eight percent of transport investment by the World Bank involves combustion engines. But perhaps the World Bank has not floored the accelerator on EVs yet because they recognise roadblocks keep the wheel out of reach for working families.

The UK Government insists that combustion engine vehicles will be banned from production, importing, and sale by 2030. But a global semiconductor shortage has produced a projected nine percent slump in electric vehicle sales in the UK. Motorists are modelled to save £700 on fuel for making the switch to EVs. However, road pricing and tolls have been proposed to replace Treasury revenue once fuel duty becomes obsolete. Therefore, the gap between petrol and electric car running costs may close. Electricity costs could even eclipse fuel prices, should the renewables generating electricity fail.

There are also infrastructure impediments to overcome. The ban would require 400,000 charging points to be installed across the UK by 2030, up from the only 35,000 that were in place as of last year. Many rural areas remain ‘charging blackspots’, inaccessible for EVs on long journeys. Annual installation must increase ten-fold to meet the Department for Transport’s promise that ‘drivers will never be further than thirty miles from a rapid charging station’.

Uvalde Mayor Slams ‘Sick Son of a Bit*h’ Beto O’Rourke After Democrat Crashes Abbott Press Conference On Texas School Shooting

Desperate narcissist – there is no other way to describe him – Beto O’Rourke crashed a press conference being held by Texas Governor Greg Abbott on the Texas school shooting that claimed the lives of 19 children in a sad attempt to score political points.

Abbott had just wrapped up speaking and updating the community on what has been learned thus far regarding the horrific shooting.

Abbott provided information on social media posts that showed the shooter chillingly announcing he was going to shoot his grandmother, that he had shot his grandmother, and how he was now “going to shoot an elementary school.”

The Texas governor at times had to compose himself as he discussed the tragedy. He discussed the heroes that helped stop the shooting

O’Rourke, a Democrat most known for his radical anti-Second Amendment views, saw an opportunity to make a political point.

Support Grows For New Currency Giving Feds ‘Full Control’ Of All Transactions

Conversations regarding the creation of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) used to be confined to monetary policy aficionados and cryptocurrency prophets, but over the past year, this concept of a centralized digital currency issued and controlled by central banks has picked up steam across the African continent, China, the United States and now Mexico.

According to Bitcoin Magazine, Mexican Senator Indira Kempis proposed “draft legislation amending the country’s Monetary Law to include currencies issues by the central bank.”

Kempis supports the notion that direct intervention by the Mexican government is vital to the long-term financial health of the nation.

According to Kempis’ proposal, “It is essential that the State, through the regulation of the financial system, promote a greater access to and use of financial services through intervention to ensure that service providers provide fair treatment and quality service to their users, as well as how to create financial education programs that provide the necessary knowledge for Mexicans to make informed and aware decisions of their resources.”

This would also allow the central bank the authority to issue and control “virtual assets” such as a CBDC and have broader regulatory policies regarding cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and others.

Joe Rogan Hammers Media For Covering Up Hunter Biden Story: ‘They Ignore Facts To Push A Narrative’

Popular podcast host Joe Rogan blasted the media for their efforts to squash the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the election, saying their willingness to “ignore facts” to push a narrative “scares” him.

Rogan’s comments came during a discussion with former CIA covert operations officer Mike Baker over the weekend regarding the legacy media and their love of a good story – just not one that would have been politically damaging to Joe Biden.

“They don’t just love a good story. They love a narrative, and they’re willing to ignore facts to push that narrative. That’s what scares me,” Rogan said.

Rogan went on to state that there are “real solid journalists” out there but he doesn’t “necessarily know if you’re getting all the information.”

Et Tu? Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Adds Trigger Warning to Julius Caesar

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London has added a trigger warning before a production of the Bard’s famed tragedy of Julius Caesar to warn attendees of potentially offensive content within the 1599 play.

Despite depicting perhaps the most famous assassination in history, theatre bosses at the Globe theatre have sought fit to provide audiences with “content guidance” that their production of William Shakespeare’s Tragedy of Julius Ceasar will include weapons and fake stage blood.

Unbounded: Government Claims Right of Access and Surveillance on All Private Land

Is private land a federal playground? The government claims a phenomenally powerful right—access and surveillance on every inch of privately held farmland, hunting ground, pasture, and recreational acre in the United States, without warrant or probable cause.

The federal assertion to total power over private land is a chilling prospect to a significant portion of Americans and the alarm begs a subsequent concern: What activities does Uncle Sam assume the right to engage in after entry onto private land and precisely which government officials get a perpetual pass?

Fair warning: The uncomfortable answers arguably are a far cry from the liberty assumed by most landowners and reveal few concrete restrictions on the power of bureaucracy and government. In a word, unbounded.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Is REvil having a resurgence, or is there a copycat hacking group?

According to a report released by cybersecurity company Akamai, one of its customers is currently experiencing a DDoS attack being carried out by Russian-affiliated hacking group REvil. REvil was thought to have been taken offline after several members were arrested earlier this year, leading some to believe the hacking group is simply a copycat operating the REvil name.

Per an Akamai press release, the company’s Security Intelligence Response Team (SIRT) was alerted to a Layer 7 attack on one of its customers in the hospitality industry and that the group behind it was claiming to be associated with REvil.

“It’s hard to tell [whether it is REvil or a copycat], attribution is difficult, especially in DDoS,” said Chad Seaman, Security Intelligence Response Team Engineer at Akamai. “This campaign compared to previously reported campaigns do have different traits that would suggest it isn’t the same group that launched the previously documented REvil attacks, but it’s hard to tell if those were even truly REvil to be honest.”

SCOTUS Alert: Abortion Cases Still Undecided Amid Roe Leak

The Supreme Court issued opinions on Monday, and once again, the court did not include a ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the extremely anticipated abortion case that could overrule Roe v. Wade.

A leaked draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito aimed to do precisely that, declaring that “Roe and Casey must be overruled,” referring to the original 1973 case that established a constitutional right to get an abortion, and 1992’s Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which maintained that right.

Racial Discrimination Agains White Americans Has Been Institutionalized

The 1896 Supreme Court Plessy decision, which gave us “separate but equal” is widely considered today to be incorrect. Legal scholars maintain that the private railroad company violated the Constitution by separating people in railway cars on the basis of race. Justice John Marshall Harlan’s dissent–“Our Constitution is color-blind, and neither knows nor tolerates classes among citizens”–is almost universally considered correct.

How can it be, then, that the same legal scholars who damn the Plessy decision support the 1896 Supreme Court’s Plessy reasoning when they uphold the right of private media to divide people into classes based on belief and to discriminate on the basis of opinion? TV, print, radio, and social media all discriminate against those who dissent from the official narratives. If the railway company’s policy was in violation of the 14th Amendment, most certainly media’s policy of censorship and “cancelling” is in violation of the 1st Amendment.

Law schools have never looked seriously at Justice Harlan’s famous claim that the Constitution “neither knows nor tolerates classes among citizens.” It most certainly does. The same railway company that provided different railway cars for different races provided different railway cars for different classes. People were, and still are today, segregated by economic class. A second class ticket is no good in a first class car.

China Says Philippine Sea Drills Were 'Stern Warning' Against US Support for 'Taiwan Independence'

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has conducted a series of maritime and aerial drills in the seas surrounding Taiwan in recent weeks, including deployment of its largest-ever carrier battle group and a joint bomber patrol with the Russian Air Force.

Beijing has warned that the drills were intended as a “stern warning against the recent collusion activities between the US and the ‘Taiwan independence’ secessionist forces.

“Taiwan is a part of China. The troops of the PLA Eastern Theater Command have the resolution and capability to thwart any external forces' interference and secessionist attempts for ‘Taiwan independence’, and to firmly safeguard national sovereignty and security as well as regional peace and stability,” Sr. Col. Shi Yi, a spokesperson for the PLA Eastern Theater Command, said in a Wednesday statement.

The 1927 Bombing That Remains America’s Deadliest School Massacre

In 1927, Bath was a rural village of 300 people despite its location ten miles from Lansing, the state capital. The local institute of learning was Bath Consolidated School, built only five years earlier to replace the scattered one-room schools of the surrounding farmland. It had 314 students from around the region, many the sons and daughters of farmers. Some students were bused in, and all took classes with their peers over the course of elementary and high school.

May 18 was the last day of classes for students that year, but at 8:45 the north wing of the three-story structure exploded with such force that the boom was heard miles away.

Energoatom denies IAEA reports of plutonium, enriched uranium at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

Energoatom, the operator of Ukraine's nuclear power plants, has denied a report from IAEA head Rafael Grossi that there are stocks of 30,000 kg of plutonium and 40,000 kg of enriched uranium at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is controlled by Russian forces.

"There is neither uranium nor plutonium at the Zaporizhzhia NPP that could be used for military purposes; they were not stored and are not stored. However there are fuel assemblies, but this is a completely different matter and it is called nuclear fuel, which of course all NPP in the world have," Energoatom said on its Telegram channel on Wednesday.

The company also said that spent nuclear fuel is kept in dry storage at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, but this also has nothing to do with the reported "nonsense."

“A total of 50,759 U.S. properties started the foreclosure process in Q1 2022, up 67% from the previous quarter and up 188% from a year ago,” the report stated, with Chicago alone seeing over 3,000 foreclosures in the first three months of the year.

China must be prepared to destroy Elon Musk’s Starlink system, Chinese researchers say

Chinese military researchers are calling for their country’s military to develop ways to either counter or outright destroy the Starlink satellite internet service developed by Elon Musk.

In a paper published last month in the Chinese peer-reviewed journal Modern Defence Technology and reported by the South China Morning Post on Wednesday, lead researcher Ren Yuanzhen and his colleagues wrote that “a combination of soft and hard kill methods should be adopted to make some Starlink satellites lose their functions and destroy the constellation’s operating system.”

Texas school shooter Salvador Ramos once cut up his face with knives ‘just for fun,’ friends say

The gunman who slaughtered 19 kids and two teachers at a Texas elementary school reportedly exhibited increasingly bizarre behavior leading up to the rampage – including cutting up his face with knives just “for fun,” friends said.

Gunman Salvador Ramos’ friend Santos Valdez Jr., 18, said the two had been close, playing video games and basketball regularly, until his friend’s behavior began to “deteriorate,” the Washington Post reported.

At one point, he recounted, Ramos showed up at a park with scratch marks across his face and said he had been attacked by a cat.

“Then he told me the truth, that he’d cut up his face with knives over and over and over,” Valdez told the newspaper

Breaking: Beto O’Rourke Kicked Out Of Presser For Yelling At Texas Governor Greg Abbott

Failed Texas Democrat Senate and Presidential Candidate Robert Francis ‘Beto’ O’Rourke just made a fool of himself in a press conference with Gregg Abbott. Gregg Abbott hosted a panel to discuss the tragic shooting that occurred in Uvalde yesterday.

This is a moment for unity, not division, as we fight against the forces of evil. But Beto, ever the opportunist, did not let the tragedy go to waste. The Democrat candidate for the governor’s race in November interrupted the presser, only to be escorted out by law enforcement. The panel roared in anger, including Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin, who called Beto a “sick son of a b****”.

He was completely correct to do so. Only Beto would exploit this moment for political purposes. That was uncalled for and morally wrong.

AI Inventing Its Own Culture, Passing It On to Humans, Sociologists Find

A new study shows that humans can learn new things from artificial intelligence systems and pass them to other humans, in ways that could potentially influence wider human culture.

The study, published on Monday by a group of researchers at the Center for Human and Machines at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, suggests that while humans can learn from algorithms how to better solve certain problems, human biases prevented performance improvements from lasting as long as expected. Humans tended to prefer solutions from other humans over those proposed by algorithms, because they were more intuitive, or were less costly upfront—even if they paid off more, later.

"Digital technology already influences the processes of social transmission among people by providing new and faster means of communication and imitation," the researchers write in the study. "Going one step further, we argue that rather than a mere means of cultural transmission (such as books or the Internet), algorithmic agents and AI may also play an active role in shaping cultural evolution processes online where humans and algorithms routinely interact."

Tucker Unleashes on Biden's School Shooting Speech: 'Desecrating the Memory of Recently Murdered Children'

After these comments, Fox News host Tucker Carlson lambasted Biden for his insensitivity and his badly partisan comments in the midst of tragedy.

“Frail, confused, bitterly partisan, desecrating the memory of recently murdered children … dividing the country in a moment of deep pain, rather than uniting,” Carlson said.

“His voice rising, amplified only as he repeats the talking points he repeated for over 35 years in the United States Senate, partisan politics being the only thing that animates him, unfit for leadership of this country,” Carlson continued.

Never Forget: Elizabeth Warren, Ilhan Omar, Others Tried to Get Cops Out of Schools to Make BLM Happy

As the nation digests news about another mass shooting in a public school, the reaction of national Democrats has been politically predictable.

There are the expected, strident calls for more gun control. The increasingly shrill demands from Democrats that the country disregard a core freedom guaranteed by the Constitution.

And what’s equally predictable is the fact that some of the loudest voices among Democrats for gun control have a good deal less concern for student safety when it suits the progressive agenda.

But some of the exact same politicians who started reflexively calling Tuesday for more gun control while the news of the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, was still breaking have also been some of the loudest demanding schools be stripped of police to appease the most radical fringes of their party.

AOC says she's itching to ditch her Tesla after spat with Elon: Progressive rep says she wants to buy electric car made at unionized factory after Musk told her to stop flirting with him on Twitter

AOC has announced plans to ditch her Tesla, weeks after Elon Musk told her to stop flirting with him on Twitter.

The Green New Deal-backing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 32, told Bloomberg in an interview Wednesday that she wants to switch to an electronic car that is made domestically by unionized workers.

Currently, the only such vehicles she could consider are Ford's huge F-150 Lightning truck, which will be released later this year, or a Chevy Bolt.

The Democrat told the network that she purchased her Model 3 in 2020 around the time that the Covid-19 began.

AOC said that it was the only electric car that could get her from her Bronx-Queens district to the nation's capital on 'one, or one-and-half charges.'

Sussmann billed Clinton camp on the day he talked Trump-Russia ties with FBI

The attorney who sparked an FBI investigation into since-debunked claims of a secret back channel between Donald Trump and a Russian bank billed Hillary Clinton’s campaign on the day he met with an FBI official.

Attorney Michael Sussman’s expense reports were admitted into evidence in court Tuesday before the prosecution rested its case against the lawyer, who’s on trial for lying to the FBI during the meeting.

Sussman had turned over “white papers” and other data on rumors of the since debunked tie between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank in 2016 while not revealing he was working on behalf of a client.

Biden Admin: K-12 Schools Must Put Boys In Girls’ Bathrooms To Get Federal Lunch Money

K-12 schools must allow boys into girls’ private areas to obtain federal funds for lunches, breakfasts, and snacks, the Biden administration announced this month. A U.S. Department of Education spokesman told The Federalist the Biden administration’s press releases from several agencies announcing this policy will be followed by formal rulemaking in June.

“It seems to be playing politics with feeding poor kids, which is really unfortunate,” John Elcesser, executive director of the Indiana Non-Public Education Association, said via phone amid weeks of attempting to sort out these new demands with government officials on behalf of private schools in his state. “Because if a school feels like they cannot participate because it’s in conflict with their mission or values, if a religious exemption is not granted, you’re taking away a program that’s feeding low-income kids.”

Agrichemical Industry Demands Biden Administration Rescind Support for Cancer Victims Before Supreme Court

Earlier this month, the U.S. Department of Justice urged the Supreme Court to deny a request by Bayer to review a verdict that found the corporation liable for damages from the use of its Roundup (glyphosate) herbicides. Now, Bayer is using proxy organizations to place pressure on the Biden Administration and Justice Department to rescind its decision. Alongside a range of chemical industry umbrella groups, many of which—like Croplife America—Bayer is a member of, a letter was sent to President Biden expressing “grave concern” about the opinion filed by Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar. Among a range of baseless claims, the agrichemical industry is deflecting lower court findings on the hazards and cancer risk of their products with the claim that their toxic chemicals are needed to feed the world, as crops shipments from Ukraine have been halted during the ongoing war. “The agrichemical industry has long tried to sell the idea that their toxic pesticides are needed to feed the world, as if to suggest that their motives are altruistic when, in fact, they have shown a callous disregard for life and a sustainable future,” said Jay Feldman, executive director of Beyond Pesticides. ” We can grow food without toxic chemicals and offer support for all the victims of war, with a reverence for healthy ecosystems and the life they support,” he said.

Bayer filed its petition with the Supreme Court in August 2021, seeking to reverse the case of Hardeman v. Monsanto, as Bayer assumed all liabilities associated with Monsanto when it purchased the company in 2018. In that suit, a California court found unanimously in favor of the plaintiff, Edwin Hardeman. Mr. Hardeman told the jury he had used Roundup since the 1980s to spray poison oak and weeds around his property, resulting in his diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2014. He was awarded $5.27 million, while the punitive damages were ultimately reduced from $75 to $20 million.

Bayer’s appeal to the Supreme Court includes two claims. The first is a preemption argument, suggesting that federal pesticide law preempts state-level “failure-to-warn” claims that form the basis of the Hardeman suit. To prevail under California’s failure-to-warn law, plaintiffs must prove that the product had knowable risks, the risks presented were substantial if used in a reasonably foreseeable manner, consumers would not have recognized those risks, defendants failed to warn consumers, and consumers were thus injured as a result.

As Democrats Talk About Punishing Catholic Church, Bishops Rally To Support Pelosi Ban

While Democrats like Dick Durbin talk about taxing the Church after the ban on Nancy Pelosi's communion rites, Catholic bishops are coming together to back Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone and the Church after he banned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in light of her position on abortion.

On Friday, Cordileone issued a letter stating because of Pelosi’s position on abortion and her recent calls to protect access to abortion at the federal level, she should not present herself to a priest for Communion at Mass.

An increasing number of bishops across the nation are expressing their backing, stating the ban should follow Pelosi regardless of which parish she attends.

Yes, HBO Max Knows Their App Sucks (And Want To Fix It)

Everyone who has used HBO Max has marveled at how impressively inept their app is -- the crashes, the laborious process to browse to the next episode, the crashes, the elusive episode selection menu itself, the crashes, the selective inability to remember certain shows you're watching while pushing others you once accidentally played for two seconds, the crashes, and the crashes make it feel like it was intentionally designed to piss you off. Also, the crashes (almost forgot). Palestinian killed, over 90 injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers in West Bank: medics

A Palestinian teenager was killed and more than 90 others were wounded early on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli soldiers near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement.

The statement said Ghaith Yamin, 16, was killed after he was shot in the head by Israeli soldiers during clashes in Nablus.

More than 90 Palestinians were injured, including 11 who were shot by live ammunition and 23 by rubber-coated metal bullets, the statement said, adding that more than 60 suffered suffocation after inhaling teargas.

Palestinian eyewitnesses said that Palestinian gunmen and Israeli soldiers exchanged fire when Israeli soldiers escorted a group of Jewish worshippers who arrived at Joseph's Tomb in Nablus for prayers.

Shireen Abu Akleh: Weapons expert concludes Israeli soldier targeted veteran journalist

New evidence around the killing of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in the occupied West Bank on 11 May suggests she was killed in a targeted attack by Israeli forces, a CNN investigation has found.

The investigation by CNN, based on two videos from the shooting scene and corroborated by an audio forensic analyst and an explosive weapons expert, suggests there was no active fighting nor any armed Palestinians near Abu Akleh in the moments prior to her killing.

The investigation cited videos of fighting between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian fighters during the Israeli army raid on the Jenin refugee camp earlier in the morning of Abu Akleh’s killing.

The littoral combat ship’s latest problem: Class-wide structural defects leading to hull cracks

Half of the Navy’s littoral combat ship fleet is suffering from structural defects that have led to hull cracks on several vessels, limiting the speed and sea states in which some ships can operate, according to internal records obtained by Navy Times and confirmed by sea service officials.

The Navy has not previously disclosed the cracks in the Independence-class version of the LCS or the class-wide repercussions of the defects, nor has it identified which ships suffer from the issues.

Nuland-Pyatt Tape Removed From YouTube After 8 Years

The smoking gun proving U.S. involvement in the 2014 coup in Kiev has been removed from YouTube after eight years.

It was one of the most watched versions of the intercepted and leaked conversation between then Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt, the then U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, in which the two discuss who will make up the new government weeks before democratically-elected Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown in a violent coup on Feb. 21, 2014.

The two talk about “midwifing” the unconstitutional change of government and “gluing it together” and of the role then Vice President Joe Biden should play and what meetings to set up with Ukrainian politicians.

The U.S. State Department never denied the authenticity of the video, and even issued an apology to the European Union after Nuland is heard on the tape saying, “Fuck the E.U.” Mainstream media at the time focused almost exclusively on that off-color remark, ignoring the greater significance of U.S. interference in Ukraine’s internal affairs.

Consortium News has numerous times embedded the YouTube video in articles about the overthrow of Yanukovych. CN successfully embedded it earlier this week in an article now being written, but on Wednesday the video suddenly appeared this way in the draft article:

The Navy just launched a brand new ship it doesn’t even want

According to a Lockheed Martin press release, the company “is confident that the sailors of Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 29, the future USS Beloit, will play a critical role in supporting maritime security and deterrence. The LCS Freedom-variant, operationally deployed today, is an unmatched and highly adaptable warship, designed to outpace the growing threat of our adversaries and fulfill the dynamic missions of the U.S. Navy.”

The Beloit is the latest Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ship to take to the seas, although just how long the vessel will be cruising remains in question. While the Navy has planned for 35 Independence and Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ships, a Government Accountability Office report published in February found that the LCS still “has not demonstrated the operational capabilities it needs to perform its mission.”

Sussmann Trial: Mook Outs Clinton as ‘Russiagate’ Shot-Caller

“The trial of former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann crossed a critical threshold Friday (May 20),” Jonathan Turley writes at The Hill, “when a key witness uttered the name ‘Hillary Clinton’ in conjunction with a plan to spread the false Alfa Bank Russian collusion claim before the 2016 presidential election.”

The witness: Robby Mook, who managed Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign.

The revelation: According to Mook, Clinton personally approved the initial disinformation campaign that eventually became “Russiagate,” an attempt to explain/excuse Clinton’s poor performance and ultimate loss, and Donald Trump’s victory, as a function of Russian “meddling” in the election.

Zelensky Says Russia Must Pull Back Troops to Pre-War Positions Before Talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia must pull back its troops to pre-invasion positions as a precondition for negotiations, a condition that Moscow is unlikely to agree with.

Zelensky told the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland via video link that he was willing to negotiate directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin but said Russia must take a step to show it is ready to “shift from the bloody war to diplomacy.”

“It’s possible if Russia shows at least something. When I say at least something, I mean pulling back troops to where they were before February 24,” Zelensky said. “I believe it would be a correct step for Russia to make.”

Russia and Ukraine were engaged in negotiations earlier in the war, but they have stalled, thanks in part to the billions in weapons being shipped to Ukrainian forces by the US and its NATO allies. Zelensky said Ukraine will continue to fight until “it reclaims all its territories.”

‘There Is No Off-Ramp’: A Recipe for Nuclear War

As if he were holding a gun at our back, President Joe Biden is pushing Americans ever higher on the escalation ladder with Moscow. Recently, former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev warned that Washington and NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine risks becoming a “full-fledged nuclear war.”

In a message that should be heard loud and clear by the American people, Medvedev cautioned “the pumping of Ukraine by NATO countries with weapons, the training of its troops to use Western equipment, the dispatch of mercenaries and the conduct of exercises by the countries of the Alliance near our borders increase the likelihood of a direct and open conflict between NATO and Russia instead of their ‘war by proxy.’”

Leading up to the war, the State Department blatantly eschewed diplomacy which could have prevented Putin’s invasion. While at the same time, hawks in the Biden administration, the Senate, NATO, the CIA, and the Pentagon could be heard salivating, in public statements and major news outlets, with dreams of killing Russians in a long-coveted, protracted proxy war.

Why the Afghan government collapsed after the US withdrawal

The first sentence of an interim report released yesterday on the collapse of the Afghan military concludes that, “the single most important factor in the [Afghan National Defense and Security Forces’] collapse in August 2021 was the U.S. decision to withdraw military forces and contractors from Afghanistan through signing the U.S.-Taliban agreement in February 2020.”

Reuters adopted this sentence in its headline covering the report. But a deeper reading reveals that Washington built a dependent Afghan army reliant on open-ended U.S. combat support, which incentivized corruption, and ultimately lent credence to the Taliban’s narrative of a puppet government in Kabul. No reading of this latest report could lead one to reasonably believe that victory was just over the horizon.

Congress created the Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, or SIGAR, in 2008 to provide oversight of Afghanistan reconstruction activities and most recently instructed it to assess why the ANDSF collapsed so rapidly last summer. Over the years SIGAR has unveiled shocking degrees of corruption, oversight, deception, and incompetence in the U.S.-led war effort in Afghanistan. This report is no different, except that it bluntly describes the United States as the linchpin of the previous Afghan government’s success or failure.

Israeli forces kill 16-year-old Palestinian in Nablus

Israeli forces killed a 16-year-old Palestinian in Nablus during a raid on the city early Wednesday morning, just days after killing another Palestinian youth in Jenin.

The teenager was identified by the Palestinian Ministry of Health as Ghaith Yameen from the Ras al-Ain neighborhood of Nablus. He was pronounced dead shortly after 2:00 am after he was shot in the head with a live bullet by Israeli forces.

Yameen was shot near Joseph’s Tomb in eastern Nablus, after Israeli forces escorted a group of Israeli settlers to perform prayers at the site, sparking confrontations with local youth.

Israel Tells US It Killed Iranian IRGC Colonel in Tehran

Israel has told the US that it killed a senior member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) who was gunned down in Tehran on Sunday, The New York Times reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed intelligence official.

IRGC Col. Hassan Sayyad Khodaei was shot five times by two gunmen on motorcycles outside his home. Israel was immediately suspected due to its history of targeted killings inside Iran.

Israeli officials haven’t publicly said they were responsible for Khodaei’s killing. But Israel typically does not officially take credit for attacks inside Iran, and its responsibility is usually revealed by leaks to the media.

Israeli officials claimed to the Times that Khodaei was involved with plots to kidnap and assassinate Israeli civilians and officials around the world. They said he was part of a covert IRGC group known as Unit 840. But Iran denies that Unit 840 even exists, and despite frequent Israeli claims, there is no evidence that Iran has attempted to target Israelis abroad.

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro Says He Will NOT Be Signing the Pandemic Treaty

He said: “National sovereignty is not something to be handed over to the WHO.. just to join a club of seemingly advanced nations”

What an absolute saint!'

Just two days ago we reported about the unfortunate death of a Goldman Sachs analyst, who was shot dead on the northbound Q train as it passed the Manhattan Bridge.

Daniel Enriquez, who joined Goldman's research division in 2013, was shot in the chest in an unprovoked attack. According to NYPost at the time, the family of Enriquez had only one message for Mayor Eric Adams:

"Do your job ... Get crime off the streets."

And they make a crucial point, especially as it relates to this specific attack. Why? Because it was revealed in follow up reporting yesterday that the suspect, 25 year old Andrew Abdullah of Brooklyn (who has now been placed in custody), had "about 20 prior arrests" for "assault, robbery, menacing and grand larceny", ABC News reported this week. '

In fact, the same report notes that he has "three cases that are still pending, including an April arrest for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property for allegedly being found with a stolen motorcycle, as well as a June 2021 arrest for violating a protective order and March 2021 arrest for assault."

The threat posed by monkeypox is real, very real. Or is it?

According to Dr. Robert Malone, not really. But you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. The way in which the virus is being covered, Malone recently noted, “provides a classical example of public health fearporn.”

CNN, one of the many outlets breathlessly covering the virus, “should be reprimanded for broadcasting irresponsible propaganda—misinformation and disinformation—under the guise of journalism,” wrote Malone. In his opinion, this virus and disease, “which is endemic in Africa,” is “readily controlled by classical public health measures.”

More importantly, it “does not [emphasis mine] have a high mortality rate.” This insignificant biothreat “has never been considered a high threat pathogen in the past.”

Malone finished by asking the media and so-called medical experts to “stop the fear mongering, misinformation and disinformation.”

Malone’s request has been ignored, with doctors around the world telling us to prepare for the worst. President Joe Biden has also joined the chorus of doomsayers. Not surprisingly, the World Health Organization (WHO) is also making noise.

More worryingly, the WHO is making moves, and these moves could have profound effects on billions of people around the world, including those residing in the United States.

Shares of gun and ammunition companies jumped Wednesday over speculation of new gun control laws in the wake of Tuesday's horrific mass shooting that killed at least 19 children and two teachers at a Texas elementary school. Investors anticipate increased sales ahead of calls for stricter gun laws by Democrats.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Smith & Wesson Inc. and Vista Outdoors Inc. were both up around 10%, American Outdoor Brands Inc. +6.5%, Sturm Ruger & Co. +5.5%, and Ammo Inc. +5%.

Gun makers' shares typically rise when Democrats call for stricter gun control measures after mass shootings because people buy on the fear that more rules could make owning a gun harder or costlier. This was the case in 2012 when gun sales soared after the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, at Sandy Hook school.

Search trends for "buy a gun" immediately erupted Tuesday evening after the shooting at the elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

China Holds Live Fire Combat Drills Near Taiwan As Response To Biden Defense Pledge

China on Wednesday revealed that it held fresh military drills near Taiwan while Joe Biden was wrapping up his first trip to Asia as president. A statement cited "joint patrol and combat readiness operations near Taiwan" while the US leader was in Tokyo where he was meeting with leaders of the other "Quad" nations of Japan, India, and Australia. The military further warned of "collusion" between the US and Taiwan:

Shi Yi, from the PLA’s Eastern Theatre Command, said on Wednesday that the joint naval and air combat-readiness exercise by the People’s Liberation Army was a “solemn warning against recent collusion between the United States and Taiwan”.

The Wednesday statement was issued by the People‘s Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command, confirming it held live fire combat readiness exercises both in the waters and airspace around Taiwan. "It is hypocritical and futile for the United States to say one thing and do another on the Taiwan issue," the spokesman, Shi added.

During his Tokyo visit Biden surprised the media and officials by committing to defend Taiwan militarily when asked by a reporter what the US would do in the event of a Chinese invasion. The White House subsequently tried to walk back the comments, stressing that the One China status quo policy has not changed. Beijing condemned the statement, issuing its oft repeated line that the US is "playing with fire". The Biden pledge to defend Taiwan came Monday, with the PLA drills coming apparently the day after.

Mike Rowe Says Feds "Revoked" Film Permit Because Official "Didn't Like His Personal Politics"

"Dirty Jobs" television host Mike Rowe called out the General Services Administration (GSA) for canceling his production team's ability to film a new episode because of his "personal politics."

Rowe wrote a lengthy Facebook post on Monday, addressing the boilermaker workers at a facility overseen by the GSA that his permit to shoot was "suddenly revoked."

He said his film team received a call from a woman at the GSA about permits revoked for "security concerns." When asked about the security concerns, the woman had no response. She said: That decision had come down from "the very highest levels within the GSA."

They're Worried About The Spread Of Information, Not Disinformation

We’re in the final countdown to British Home Secretary Priti Patel’s decision on the fate of Julian Assange, with the WikiLeaks founder’s extradition to the United States due to be approved or rejected by the end of the month. Joe Lauria has a new article out with Consortium News on the various pressures that Patel is being faced with from both sides of this history-making issue at this crucial time.

And I can’t stop thinking, as this situation comes to a boil, about how absurd it is that the US empire is working to set a precedent which essentially outlaws information-sharing that the US doesn’t like at the same time western news media are full of hand-wringing headlines about the dangerous threat of “disinformation”.

Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR) has an article out titled “‘Disinformation’ Label Serves to Marginalize Crucial Ukraine Facts” about the way the mass media have been spinning that label to mean not merely the knowing distribution of false information but also of information that is true but inconvenient to imperial narrative-weaving.

Sussman Trial Day 8: Ex-Clinton Lawyer Told Different Stories To Congress And FBI, Jury Hears

A lawyer representing Hillary Clinton’s campaign told members of Congress in 2017 that he took information about Donald Trump and Russia to the FBI on behalf of a client, even though he told the bureau previously that he was bringing the data on his own volition, jurors in federal court heard on May 25.

“I think it’s most accurate to say it was done on behalf of my client,” Michael Sussmann, the lawyer, told the House Intelligence Committee on Dec. 18, 2017.

Obamacare 'Time Bomb' To Hit Right Before Midterms

Congressional Democrats have yet another thing to worry about going into this year's midterm elections.

A temporary pandemic relief program aimed at lowering healthcare premiums under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare, is set to expire unless Democrats can revive a reconciliation bill that extends the financial assistance past the end of the year. And that means striking a deal with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV).

If they can't, roughly 13 million Americans will be hit with steep price hikes amid crippling inflation, in what Insider describes as a "time-bomb."

"There's no denying that if they are not extended, then there could definitely be a political impact," said healthcare policy analyst Charles Gaba.

Voters are set to receive notices about premium increases in late October, as they head to the ballot box for the November midterms. Others would find out during the ACA open enrollment period, which begins on November 1.

"If Congress lets the ACA premium help in the American Rescue Plan expire at the end of this year, middle-class people buying their own insurance would be hit hardest," tweeted Larry Levitt, vice president for health policy at the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Russia To Open Sea Corridors From Ukraine Ports Amid Wheat Crisis, But Warns Of Ukrainian Mines

After being accused of using the food supply as blackmail and a bargaining chip, Russia said Wednesday its military will open up protected sea corridors for international shipping to pass through from seven Ukrainian ports that have thus far been blockaded.

According to a defense ministry statement reported by Bloomberg late in the day, "Humanitarian maritime corridors from ports on the Black Sea and Azov Sea, including Odesa, will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily."

The announcement comes two days after the head of the United Nations World Food Program David Beasley ripped Moscow for what he dubbed a "declaration of war" on global food security. He's been urging "political solution" to the crisis of blocked Black Sea ports, saying the war in 'the world's breadbasket' threatens to unleash "famine, the destabilization of nations as well as mass migration by necessity." Millions of people in 43 countries dependent on grain from the war-torn region are "knocking on famine’s door," he said.

However, Russia has stressed that its military is engaged in extensive and complex demining operations due thousands of mines dotting Ukraine's coast placed by Ukrainian forces, making international shipping dangerous and impossible. As reported in the independent Moscow Times:
