‘We will go to the governor’s door’: Fired Amazon walkout leader vows BIGGER protest if Covid-19 safety demands not met

The leader of an Amazon warehouse walkout will take his fight for a safe workplace to the New York governor’s office if needed, he told RT. City authorities are investigating whether he was fired in retaliation for the protest.

Chris Smalls, the Amazon associate who led Monday’s walkout at the megacorporation’s mammoth Staten Island warehouse, believes he was fired over his leadership of the protest, but he told RT he isn’t done fighting for the safety of what were until recently his fellow employees. “My plan of action is to continue to fight until the buildings are closed down,” he said. “They got rid of me to stop the movement but they actually empowered me and motivated me, so I will continue to fight.”

America, We Have To End the Wars Now

Can anyone think what our society might have spent six and a half trillion dollars on instead of 20 years of war in the Middle East for nothing? How about the trillion dollars per year we keep spending on the military on top of that?

Invading, dominating and remaking the Arab world to serve the interests of the American empire and the state of Greater Israel sounds downright quaint at this point. Iraq War II, as Senator Bernie Sanders said in the debate a few weeks ago, while letting Joe Biden, one of its primary proponents, off the hook for it, was “a long time ago.” Actually, Senator, we still have troops there fighting Iraq War III 1/2 against what’s left of the ISIS insurgency, and our current government continues to threaten the launch of Iraq War IV against the very parties we fought the last two wars for. This would almost certainly then lead to war with Iran.

Italy’s rate of coronavirus infections has finally slowed, but the national lockdown that helped slow the spread of the disease is now threatening to take its own toll as Italy’s poorer regions begin to push back against government regulations keeping them from working.

The “depressed south” is “turning into a powderkeg,” according to Bloomberg world news, and the Italian government is now prepared to take efforts to control the possible spread of violence.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With food supplies dwindling, it appears to be a question of when, rather than if, Italy will soon be hit by riots.

Anthony Migchels--Media Incite Panic

The mass media will feel our wrath.

"The Media, Internationally, centrally coordinated, has DESTROYED our States and Institutions and Truth and Economy and Liberty and Love with an ENTIRELY fabricated 'pandemic', putting the masses into a fear psychosis." In the U.S. alone, the flu has caused an estimated 36 million illnesses, 370,000 hospitalizations and 22,000 deaths this season alone but we only hear about the 2500 Corona supposed deaths.

The West is just getting destroyed by a New World Order Media directed mob, in the best traditions as described in the protocols.

The Media have just whipped up a huge, worldwide, billions large, blind mob, with a totally bullshit narrative.

They have CRUSHED all major States, their institutions, everything, forcing them into complete destruction. Of order. The economy. Our most fundamental human rights: to make our living. To leave our homes.

It’s Only a Matter of Time Until COVID-19 Lockdowns Lead to Civil Unrest and Violent Crime

(March 31, 2020) The United States of America is basically closed for business, leaving citizens jobless, broke, and without options. We’re facing restrictions on movement the likes of which our nation has never seen. The stores that are open have never fully restocked after the “panic buying” of previous weeks, leading to shelves barren of things like meat, flour, toilet paper, and rice.

It’s only a matter of time before these issues combine to become the flashpoint that leads to an explosion of civil unrest and violent crime.

The US is set to lose its spot as world's top oil producer — and it 'doesn't have a lot of tools' to do anything about it

A world increasingly in lockdown over the coronavirus crisis and the oil price war set off between Saudi Arabia and Russia have brought crude prices down more than 65% year-to-date.
In America's shale country, budgets have been slashed, capital investment put on hold, and workers laid off. In the last two weeks alone, 59 rigs have been put out of service.
"We see in this coming month of April what could be a 20 million barrel a day decline in oil demand. It's unprecedented," Dan Yergin of IHS Markit told CNBC.

Corona-Madness: Authoritarianism Is Not The Answer!

Is US readying itself to re-invade and occupy Iraq?

By Robert Inlakesh

In the wake of the great escalation of January 2020, ultimately resulting in the retreat of United States forces, situated across Iraq, down to a few key bases around Baghdad that now come under regular rocket attack by local anti-occupation resistance groups, American strategic planners are confronted with only two choices: leave Iraq or launch a full-scale shock attack operation in the country's west and subsequent occupation of the area to regain the strategic initiative.

The US finds itself in its current position in Iraq, for the first time since the North Korean army invasion of South Korea in 1950 - an event which nearly threw American troops, at Pusan, into the sea and forced them to fight a protracted defense.

For a military force whose historical doctrine has been to 'attack, attack, attack', America’s current position in Iraq is terribly awkward and uncharacteristic of the usual predicament of total superiority it generally finds itself in.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Inlakesh puts together a brilliant, and thoughtful, scenario here; but there is a question which remains unasked in this article: should the US do this,
what will Russia do, in light of the fact that one of its chief politicians, told his Iranian counterpart last summer, that if Iran is attacked by the US, it will not stand alone.

Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says

This came out in the English language edition of the Moscow times on 26 June, 2019; why do I seem to be the only person still standing who remembers this being said?!??

This.... is literally the 5,000 lb polar bear, lounging on the Bosendorfer Baby Grand, on this issue.

But there is one thing that Inlakesh got absolutely correctly; this has to happen before the US end of the Covid-19 shut-down, which is, at this moment, is set for Friday, 1 May, 2020; this gives the Federal Government 30 days to either retreat entirely from Iraq, or use it, and Saudi Arabia, as the bases from which to ultimately attack Iran.

I am an American who cares greatly about this country, and the future trajectory of both its domestic and foreign policies. I care greatly about our men and women in uniform, so I am respectfully asking the civilian government in the US to use both restraint, and wisdom, in their deployment here.

A war with Russia over Iran?!?

There is nothing Israel's Netanyahu would love to see happen more than this.

But if there were any possible scenario which could create at something perceivedly good for Israel, but which would be card-carryingly horrible for We the People, I can hardly think of a worse one than this one could create.

And before I end this post, Mr. President, would you please have someone break the following down for you, in digestible format, and that would be the following.

'But Sir, It’s an American Ship.' 'Never Mind, Hit Her!' When Israel Attacked USS Liberty

Mr. President, with "friends" like this......?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'm just saying.

Pentagon seeks to classify future year defense spending plans

The Pentagon has asked Congress to allow it to classify its Future Year Defense Program spending projections, new documents have revealed.

The FYDP numbers, which project five years into the future, are considered essential information for the public to see where the Department of Defense expects to invest in the future, and to hold the department accountable when those spending plans change.

Information on the request was published Monday by Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists. Aftergood wrote that the proposal would “make it even harder for Congress and the public to refocus and reconstruct the defense budget.”

In its request to Congress, the Pentagon wrote that an unclassified FYDP “might inadvertently reveal sensitive information,” despite the fact the numbers have been unclassified since 1989.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I can certainly understand why no one at the Pentagon wanted to sign this; they wouldn't want to make it look as though anyone there would fight the concepts of openness and transparency, but looking at the language of this proposal, it is obvious that this is what they want to do.

For Autocrats, Coronavirus Is a Chance to Grab Even More Power

LONDON — In Hungary, the prime minister can now rule by decree. In Britain, ministers have what a critic called “eye-watering” power to detain people and close borders. Israel’s prime minister has shut down courts and begun an intrusive surveillance of citizens. Chile has sent the military to public squares once occupied by protesters. Bolivia has postponed elections.

As the coronavirus pandemic brings the world to a juddering halt and anxious citizens demand action, leaders across the globe are invoking executive powers and seizing virtually dictatorial authority with scant resistance.

Governments and rights groups agree that these extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. States need new powers to shut their borders, enforce quarantines and track infected people. Many of these actions are protected under international rules, constitutional lawyers say.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Edward Snowden has observed that these restrictive measures, put in place "because of the Covid-19 pandemic", will outlast the virus by a very, very long time; I think he is absolutely correct on this.

Question Everything

Crises, like pandemics, don’t break things in and of themselves; they show you what’s already broken.

– Patrick Wyman

Big macro crises in any form are scary, massively disruptive, and in some cases, literally deadly. This is why governments and entrenched institutions always see such events as opportunities to further consolidate wealth and power.

The current global pandemic is no exception, as I detailed in last week’s piece: Power Grab. While it’s necessary to be aware of this reality — and to push back against it wherever possible — it’s equally important to recognize there’s a silver lining to all of this.

In fact, during normal times 36 percent of all Americans eat at a fast food restaurant on any given day. But now that approximately 75 percent of the U.S. is under some sort of a “shelter-in-place” order and most of our restaurants have shut down, things have completely changed. Suddenly our grocery stores are being flooded with unexpected traffic, and many people are buying far more than usual in anticipation of a long pandemic. Unfortunately, our food distribution systems were not designed to handle this sort of a surge, and things are really starting to get crazy out there.

COVID-19 has cratered the global economy exposing the internal rot within our hyper-financialized global economy as nothing more than a pyramid of Ponzi schemes…

… piling credit on top of credit until there are no more greater fools to sell the new debt to.

That’s the system we have. And it is collapsing precisely because the world is situated at the point where there is little more productive capacity to monetize and pull that capital from the future to fund the new debt.

It won’t matter if we replace this system with pure helicopter money without debt as the Modern Monetary Theory proponents argue. We’re already doing a version of this by having the central banks buy debt they never intend to sell on the open market. So, the debt itself is without value.

The Power of Fear

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Fear is an instrument of social control and repression.

Time and again, terrified people bow to the will of their ruling authorities even when harming their own rights and well-being.

The philosopher Seneca once said that “(t)here are more things…likely to frighten us than there are to crush us. We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.”

Edmund Burke explained that “(n)o passion so effectually robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear.”

According to HL Mencken, “(t)he whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.”

America’s second president John Adams said “(f)ear is the foundation of most governments.”

Fauci “Fraud”: Face Of Coronavirus Task Force Exposed In Hillary-Loving Deep State Act

Have you thought about the impact of to the economy by the complete shut-down of California and New York? These two states represent a massive proportion of the United States workforce, and the eager “stay in place” orders of the two states seem almost contrived.

In fact, some people have pointed out that the only way to absolutely stop President Trump booming economy was to have a complete shut-down of work… and the way to accomplish that was to spread a potentially deadly virus (or, at least one that offered the fear factor required.)

President Trump orchestrated the greatest come-back of the American worker in literal decades… in an amazingly short period of time.

Age is not the only risk for severe coronavirus disease

WASHINGTON (AP) — Older people remain most at risk of dying as the new coronavirus continues its rampage around the globe, but they’re far from the only ones vulnerable. One of many mysteries: Men seem to be faring worse than women.

The graying of the population means some countries face particular risk. Italy has the world’s second oldest population after Japan. While death rates fluctuate wildly early in an outbreak, Italy has reported more than 80% of deaths so far were among those 70 or older.

The Propaganda of Terror and Fear: A Lesson from Recent History

The ongoing and unfolding reactions to the Corona Virus look set to have wide-ranging and long-lasting effect on politics, society and economics. The drive to close down all activities is extraordinary as are the measures being promoted to isolate people from each other.

The deep-rooted fear of contagious disease, hardwired into the collective consciousness by historical events such as the ‘Black/Bubonic Plague’ and maintained through popular culture (e.g. the Hollywood movies Outbreak and Contagion), means that people are without question highly susceptible to accepting extreme emergency measures whether or not such measures are rational or justified.

Mar 30 09:11

We Have a Choice to Make

The most critical issue in all of this is not, and never was, determining the most effective way to deal with crises like this one (and if it were, there is more than enough evidence from this outbreak alone to entirely disqualify state action from that competition.) This is not about whether government-ordered lockdowns “work” to stem the spread of a deadly virus. Nor is it even about how deadly that virus is or is not.

The much more important issue is: What kind of world are we creating when we allow a government to have this kind of power?

Fortunately–or perhaps not so fortunately–we don’t have to use our imaginations to come up with an answer. The 20th Century’s tragic experiments with all-powerful authoritarian regimes give us plenty of real-life examples. Those regimes were born out of dreams of perfect societies, crafted by “experts” and directed from above.

It Is A Time Of Crisis And U.S. Foreign Policy Is Becoming Unhinged

March 28, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - The Trump administration is reacting to the pandemic stress by lashing out at perceived internal and external enemies. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is leading the external onslaught.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called for an "immediate global ceasefire" to focus on fighting Covid-19. He has appealed for the "waiving of sanctions that can undermine countries' capacity to respond to the pandemic."

But Washington is not listening.

Requests from Venezuela and Iran for emergency IMF loans to buy medical supplies were blocked by U.S. interventions.

Just a month ago Pompeo announced an increase of sanctions against Iran. The sanctions block money transfers. They make it impossible for Iran to import the medical equipment it urgently needs to counter the epidemic.

The cost of panic

The implications for the future are horrific. THIS cost of panic is already being paid: the destruction of our economy, our society, and what is left of our system of government. Consider the following.

No information on whether informers will be rewarded for their squealing to the state: perhaps they’ll get the scofflaw’s toilet paper? (I don’t know if this was Massie, who is now an enemy of the regime for trying to just at least do the deed (the spending bill) legally and constitutionally.)

SHOCK REPORT: EU Total Deaths Per Week for All 24 Reporting Countries Combined is LOWER than the Normal Weekly Rate in EVERY Age Group

The EU is now reporting that the total deaths per week for all 24 reporting countries combined is LOWER than the normal weekly rate in every single age group.
“Note concerning COVID-19 related mortality as part of the all-cause mortality figures reported by EuroMOMO”
The EuroMOMO website publishes weekly reports of mortality levels in up to 24 European countries or regions of countries.
The weekly bulletin is published every Thursday around noon.
Over the past few days due to the growing number of coronavirus cases and deaths in several EU countries, the EuroMOMO reporting hub has received many questions about the weekly all-cause mortality data and the possible contribution of any COVID-19 related mortality.

The number of individuals hospitalized from the virus is one relevant measurement.

To date in the US we have had around 20,000 coronavirus (COVID19) patients admitted in the hospital. However, this number is many times less of those Americans hospitalized every year from the flu:

The Weakest, Most Hyped Up Plague Ever Couldn’t Even Kill a 101-Year Old Man

An Italian centenarian shakes off covid-19 like the glorified cold that it is.

Trump says keeping US Covid-19 deaths to 100,000 would be a ‘very good job’

Donald Trump has extended America’s national shutdown for a month, bowing to public health experts, and scientific reality, and warning that the worst of the coronavirus pandemic is yet to come.

New information and analysis suggest that the initial response to corona virus has been a wild overreaction.
The UK government’s response was based on estimates of Professor John Ferguson of Imperial College, London, who originally calculated that as many as 500,000 could die of the corona virus. He then revised that estimate to 20,000 deaths.
Meanwhile another paper by colleagues at Imperial predicted just 5,700 deaths if the lockdown continues, almost one hundred times fewer fatalities. Despite this dramatic reduction the lockdown remains in the UK and has now been extended in the U.S.
Will Trump extend the lockdown again? Will it become a permanent feature of life globally? Are we entering a period of globally imposed martial law?

The Greatest Depression

The Age of Terror was inaugurated with a series of controlled demolitions in New York City on September 11, 2001. Now the world is being led into the Age of Biological Terror with a controlled demolition of the economy that is already causing unprecedented carnage across markets and around the globe. As the dust settles on this demolition, an entirely new economy is ready to be erected in its place: one in which no citizen will be out of the sight of the all-seeing government. This week on The Corbett Report we examine the details of this collapse and why the bankster class is seeking to destroy the financial Ponzi scheme that they themselves created.
