Et tu, Brute? Why Huawei's Development of France's 5G Network Will be a Game-Changer

On 12 March, Reuters broke that France would permit the use of some Huawei equipment in the country's future 5G infrastructure, citing two sources close to the matter. According to observers, European states are defying Washington's diktat and opening the door to Huawei because they want to gain a competitive edge.

According to the unnamed sources, ANSSI, the French cyber-security agency, has opted to use some of Huawei's 5G apparatus in non-core parts of France's networks.

Pompeo and Netanyahu Paved a Path to War With Iran, and They’re Pushing Trump Again

by Gareth Porter Posted on March 21, 2020

The administration of President Donald Trump may escape the most recent conflict with Iran without war, however, a dangerous escalation is just over the horizon. And as before, the key factors driving the belligerence are not outraged Iraqi militia leaders or their allies in Iran, but Trump’s secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has long sought to draw the US into a military confrontation with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, this push for war with Iran, under Trump's watch, will not end well.

Even though Iran is reeling from the effects of an horrific Covid 19 epidemic, not one single US-engineered sanction will be lifted, to speed the delivery of desperately needed drugs, food, and aid for this beleaguered country.

Right now, President Trump isn't looking at any attack on Iran's alleged "proxies" in Iran, because the optics would be awful; that, of course, is no guarantee that the Israeli intelligence, or military, hasn't got several "false flags" up their collective sleeves, to be "green lit" at the moment when Netanyahu needs "maximum coverage and distraction" away from his corruption trials, which began last Tuesday, 17 March Court Denies Request for Delays in Netanyahu's Corruption Trials

Netanyahu desperately needs a distraction here, and damned quickly; what better "distraction" than an alleged "Iranian attack" against either Israeli or US assets in the Middle East, to which President Trump would be "obligated to respond"?!?

But I would, very politely, like to mention (again) to all Foggy Bottomites (and their underlings, occasionally "cursed" with having to read this blog) that last Summer at a gathering in Moscow, a Moscow politician assured his Iranian counterparts that should Iran be attacked, it "would not be alone."
Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says

The article goes on to state: "“Iran will withstand this type of fight and Iran is not alone,” Zamir Kabulov, the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for Asian countries including Iran, said at a Russian-Iranian policy forum in Moscow.

When asked if Russia was ready to provide material support to Iran if the U.S. attacks it, Kabulov said that “specific actions are a question for the Russian president.”

“But it’s not just Russia, many other countries sympathize and empathize with Iran,” the Kommersant business daily quoted him as saying. “Tehran won’t be alone if the U.S., God forbid, takes wild and irresponsible actions against it.”

You can bet your sweet bippie, that Kabulov would never have made that statement, unless he had full, and completely supported, support from Putin to say it.

War with Russia over Iran?!?

Folks, please think about this; because the next time the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika re-introduces a draft, it will be not only becoming for your your sons, but also your daughters as well.

French police begin JAILING people walking the streets as government considers extending 14-day lockdown restrictions because 'idiots' flout new rules

French citizens caught walking the streets during the country's coronavirus lockdown are being locked up for 'endangering lives', it emerged today.

The dramatic development came as complaints against increasingly aggressive police who are making arrests mount, especially in ethnic minority communities.

Until earlier this week, officers were handing out spot fines equivalent to £128 to anyone caught without the right documentation for being out of their homes.

A series of shocking videos posted online have shown officers breaking all basic health guidelines by grouping together and manhandling potential disease carriers as they issued half-a-million pounds worth of fines on Wednesday.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian confirmed the shipments on Wednesday in an interview with France's BFM TV. The first of two planes has already arrived via Belgium and a second will arrive on Thursday, he said.

China's gesture comes after France sent 17 tonnes of equipment to Beijing when the Covid-19 virus first broke out in Wuhan last December.

Yellow Vests Protesters Pour Into Streets in Paris Ahead of France's Municipal Vote

The upcoming municipal election in France is scheduled to take place on Sunday followed by a second round that is slated to take place a week later, on 22 March.

Yellow Vests demonstrators are gathering in the French capital Paris in the lead-up to the first round of France's municipal election.

The Yellow Vests movement was triggered by a government plan to raise fuel taxes, which many French citizens saw as a serious blow to their purchasing power. The weekly protest movement, whose symbol became the highly-visible safety jackets that French drivers are required to have in their cars, has recently been replaced by another vast wave of protests against a government pension reform plan.

According to senior political sources in France, Bin Salman wanted to spend some time in his luxurious chateau on the outskirts of Paris, however, France had reservations.

CORONAVIRUS: FRENCH GOVERNMENT SEIZES ALL STOCKS OF FACE MASKS, THOUSANDS STOLEN FROM HOSPITALS

SOURCE: BREITBART
French President Emmanuel Macron ordered the seizure of all stocks and future production of medical face masks in the face of a growing threat from Coronavirus, and a spate of looting of masks from medical facilities.

The China-origin Coronavirus, which has already killed a known 3,190 people worldwide is becoming more established in Europe, with worst-impacted nation Italy’s death toll standing at 79. Neighbouring France has seen a comparatively modest four deaths, but the French government hasn’t baulked at launching a series of sweeping measures under the guise of public health.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One thing you cannot accuse France's President Macron of being, is "not Draconian enough!!"

So President Macron, a word, please; when you make the possession of something illegal, you immediately create an illegal marketplace for said item; your energy would, most probably, have been better spent, in authorizing the best French manufacturers of these items, to be making these items exclusively for the French government, and paying them intelligently to do so.

By this action, you are stoking fears, and not really doing anything to alleviate the problem; right now, you need the wise counsel of a seasoned Epidemiologist, who can guide your actions to prevent as many infections as possible in France.

And I seriously doubt that this "mask seizure" would have been one of their top recommendations.

French government to force through pension changes, bypassing parliament

The French government will force through contested pension changes by decree, avoiding a parliamentary vote.

In a surprise announcement, the French prime minister, Édouard Philippe, said the controversial measure would be used to bypass parliament after opposition parties filed more than 41,000 amendments to the law in an attempt to stall its introduction.

The proposed reforms have sparked widespread protests and strikes since they were announced in December last year.

“I have decided to engage the government’s responsibility on the bill to create a universal retirement system, not to put an end to debate, but to end this period of non-debate,” Philippe told the assembly on Saturday evening.

Macron's fake outrage and complicity in the oppression of Palestinians

French President Emmanuel Macron’s “scene” in Jerusalem during a visit in January, as he shouted at Israeli soldiers who were attempting to enter a French Roman Catholic church, has been described as that of a spoiled leader having a tantrum.

While this might describe some of his behaviour, in reality, the scene perfectly demonstrates something more important about the power relations between France, Israel and Palestine.
