Do celebrity pastors really need VERY pricey wardrobe items like $500 Gucci tops and $2,500 Air Jordans on his 'Preachers N Sneakers' account? Meet the Instagram Christian who calls them out

The creator of a wildly popular Instagram account that highlights the impressive wardrobes of America's celebrity pastors has finally been identified two years after taking the internet by storm.

Ben Kirby, a self-described Evangelical from Dallas, revealed himself as the man behind the @PreachersNSneakers account on Monday.

Since opening his account in 2019, Kirby has amassed more than 210,000 followers by posting images of pastors next to exorbitant price tags for the items they're wearing - most commonly, their sneakers.

Among his most liked posts were a photo of Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz - who baptized Justin Bieber - in a pair of $800 Fear of God kicks; Paula White - pastoral adviser to former President Donald Trump - in $785 Stella McCartney slip-ons; and Seattle megachurch pastor Judah Smith in a $3,600 Gucci jacket.

CNN's Don Lemon instructs Christians to put a picture of "a black Jesus or a brown Jesus in your home"

CNN Donny is here to tell us how to be "realistic about God and the Bible."

I love the fact that gay Don Lemon fancies himself a Bible scholar now.

I hate to break it to Dr. Lemon, M.Div., but as the tweeter said, Jesus was a Jew. I mean I thought everyone knew that. Right?

What the heck is going on.

Globalist Pope Francis Says We Must Take Advantage Of COVID Crisis To Start A “New World Order”

In true globalist phraseology, Pope Francis has called for a “new world order” following the COVID-19 “pandemic.” He also advocated for global change on “green” issues, warning that “we cannot waste any more time.”

Just yesterday, Vatican News published an excerpt of the Pope’s book length interview “God and the World to Come,” giving an insight into the content of the full work, which will be available in book stores starting tomorrow. Speaking to the Italian journalist Domenico Agasso, Francis stated, “The world will never be the same again.”

In language apparently drawn from the globalist playbook, the Pope called for “a new world order,” built upon his concept of solidarity, which in turn is drawn from his comments and publications on irreligious fraternity.

Pope calls for ‘new world order,’ says ‘wasting’ COVID crisis would be worse than pandemic

In language apparently drawn from the globalist playbook, the Pope called for “a new world order,” built upon his concept of solidarity, which in turn is drawn from his comments and publications on irreligious fraternity. He called for an eradication of “bullying, poverty and corruption.” At the same time, he emphasized the importance of universal healthcare, which would come about through the practice of “social cohesion.”

Milo Yiannopoulos blasts Pope Francis, says he should be held ‘personally responsible’ for ‘wickedness in this Church’

The prodigal son has returned home, but he’s unhappy with the shepherd in charge of the family flock.

“(Pope Francis) is personally responsible for enough wickedness in this Church that I quake for the future of the Magisterium if he if he's not replaced relatively soon,” Milo Yiannopoulos said in an interview with LifeSiteNews' John-Henry Westen first posted today.

The famous British author and journalist, baptized and raised as a Catholic, made headlines this week when he declared to LifeSiteNews that he is consecrating himself to St. Joseph and means to practice the Catholic faith with integrity. But Yiannopoulos has not returned to the Church with his eyes wide shut. He did, after all, publish in 2018 a book entitled Diabolical: How Pope Francis Has Betrayed Clerical Abuse Victims Like Me — and Why He Has to Go.

Activist Milo Yiannopoulos is now ‘Ex-Gay,’ consecrating his life to St. Joseph

Milo Yiannopoulos, the gay man whose conservative messaging and willingness to speak the truth sparked riots on university campuses may well trigger more outrage now that he describes himself as “Ex-Gay” and “sodomy free,” and is leading a daily consecration to St. Joseph online.

Two years ago, when Church Militant’s Michael Voris famously challenged Yiannopoulos to live a chaste life, Yiannopoulos was not defensive. Instead, he acquiesced, and humbly admitted his human weakness.

“I know everything you’re saying, and I’m just not there yet. And I don’t know if I’ll get there,” Yiannopoulos told Voris at the time.

It seems that he has now arrived “there.”

Pope's Visit to Iraqi Ziggurat to Bring Together Several Faiths - and Hopefully Lure More Visitors

Pope Francis is due to hold an inter-religious prayer service at the ancient Mesopotamian site of Ur when he visits Iraq next week - an event local archeologists hope will draw renewed attention to the place revered as the birthplace of Abraham.

Popular with Western visitors in the 1970s and 1980s, Ur is scarcely visited today after decades of war and political instability shattered Iraq's international tourism industry. The coronavirus crisis now also keeps local tourists away.

Located about 300 km (200 miles) south of the capital Baghdad, the site comprises a pyramid-style Ziggurat and an adjacent residential complex as well as temples and palaces.

It was excavated about 100 years ago by Leonard Woolley, a Briton who recovered treasures rivalling those found in Tutankhamen's tomb in Egypt. But little work has since been done

Supreme Court Slaps Down California County's Ban On Indoor Church Services

The US Supreme Court on Friday invalidated a California county's ban on indoor religious services, ruling that Santa Clara County must allow five churches to hold indoor services, according to Mercury News.

The ruling, which comes less than three weeks after the country ordered places of worship to remain shut in defiance of a previous US Supreme Court ruling allowing indoor religious services at 25% capacity, stems from a November lawsuit brought against Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), the county, and County Health Officer Sara Cody.

Catholic League: Pro-Trans ‘Equality Act’ the ‘Most Comprehensive Assault on Christianity Ever Written into Law’

Catholic League president Bill Donohue warned Monday that the Equality Act would “promote the most comprehensive assault on Christianity ever written into law.”

While its proponents insist that the Equality Act is about “ending discrimination,” it would in fact fundamentally alter the legal definition of sex to include sexual orientation and gender identity, Dr. Donohue argues.

The Act would also undermine the Religious Freedom Restoration Act by conferring special status on gay rights, prioritizing them over religious freedom and conscience rights, he added.

The Equality Act would also require healthcare providers to provide “hormone therapies and surgical procedures that are required to change the physical characteristics associated with sex changes,” Donohue observes, without regard for the beliefs of healthcare workers.

Iraq's ancient Christian community, decimated by violence, fear

Some fled after the US-led invasion, others during sectarian bloodshed and more following jihadist attacks. Iraq's last two violent decades have hollowed out its Christian community which dates back two millennia.

After first settling in the fertile plains of Nineveh province before heading for the busy boulevards of Baghdad, more than one million Christians have in more modern times been uprooted by Iraq's consecutive conflicts.

"By the age of 24, I had already lived through and survived three wars," said Sally Fawzi, an Iraqi Chaldean Catholic, who left her country more than a decade ago and is now living in the US state of Texas.

China orders clergy to toe Communist Party and socialist line

New national rules requiring clergy to embrace the leadership of the Communist Party and China’s socialist system are expected to compound limits on religious freedom in the country, according to analysts.

The new rules – Measures for the Administration of Religious Personnel – were published by the State Administration for Religious Affairs early this month and will go into effect in May.

While the measures underlined many of the controls already in place under existing supervisory guidelines, their packaging as a national regulation gave them greater political force, one observer said.

Since 2015, President Xi Jinping has sought to bring religions such as Islam and Christianity under the party’s control through a process of “Sinicisation”, and stressed that religious adherents must reject foreign influence.

Vatican says employees who refuse Covid-19 vaccine could lose their jobs

The Vatican has effectively made Covid-19 vaccination mandatory for its employees, warning those who decline to receive the shot that they could face dismissal.

In a seven-page decree, Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello, head of the commission governing Vatican City State, said that getting the jab was "the responsible choice" and that those who refuse to do so could risk termination. The guideline points to a 2011 law which stipulates that employees who refuse “preventive measures” could be disciplined.

What does it mean to be genetically Jewish?

When my parents sent their saliva away to a genetic testing company late last year and were informed via email a few weeks later that they are both “100% Ashkenazi Jewish”, it struck me as slightly odd. Most people I know who have done DNA tests received ancestry results that correspond to geographical areas – Chinese, British, West African. Jewish, by comparison, is typically parsed as a religious or cultural identity. I wondered how this was traceable in my parents’ DNA.

After arriving in eastern Europe around a millennium ago, the company’s website explained, Jewish communities remained segregated, by force and by custom, mixing only occasionally with local populations. Isolation slowly narrowed the gene pool, which now gives modern Jews of European descent, like my family, a set of identifiable genetic variations that set them apart from other European populations at a microscopic level.

'Western Elites Want a World Without Religion and History': Publisher Slams Repurposing of Churches

While religious venues all over the Netherlands are often being "recycled" into apartments and bars, some Dutch observers see outside pressure – namely the anti-religious strategy of Western elites as the key driver behind this process.

Dutch churches are in a deep crisis. According to public broadcaster RTL News, some of them are unable to afford maintenance costs. Others suffer from a lack of attention by parishioners. In addition, almost all religious venues in the Netherlands recently fell victim to COVID restrictions, resulting in staggeringly low attendance and smaller contributions.

As a result, many venues placed "For Sale" signs on their premises, with some rural Dutch churches going for as low as 35,000 euros.

Bahrain religious discrimination violates numerous international laws: Analyst

Bahraini regime’s brutal crackdown on dissent and its systematic abuse of the Shia population and discrimination against them violate numerous international laws, an American human rights expert and peace activist says.

Daniel Kovalik, who teaches international human rights at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in the state of Pennsylvania, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Monday.

“Since the 2011 uprising in Bahrain, the government has brutally cracked down on dissent and on the Shia population of the country. Human Rights groups have reported on numerous cases of Shia being subjected to wrongful detention and torture and of being fired from their jobs en masse. This type of religious discrimination violates numerous international law instruments and would not be tolerated by the West in other situations,” the academic said.

German Nuns Sold Orphaned Children to Sexual Predators: Report

A jarring report outlining decades of rampant child sex abuse at the hands of greedy nuns and perverted priests paints a troubling picture of systematic abuse in the German church.

The report is the byproduct of a lawsuit alleging that orphaned boys living in the boarding houses of the Order of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer were sold or loaned for weeks at a time to predatory priests and businessmen in a sick rape trade. The men involved in the lawsuit say as boys they were denied being adopted out or sent to foster families because selling them for rape lined the sisters’ coffers for their “convent of horrors.” Some of the boys were then groomed to be sex slaves to perverts, the report claims.

BILL MAHER CLAIMS CHRISTIANITY IS TO BLAME FOR CAPITOL RIOT

During Friday’s episode of “Real Time With Bill Maher,” host Bill Maher blamed Christianity for the Capitol riots last month.

Maher, 65, claimed that a belief in Christianity is comparable to a belief in conspiracies like QAnon, and he said this led in part to supporters of former President Donald Trump storming the Capitol last month.

“As long as we’re going to go to the trouble of another impeachment trial, we might as well be honest about what it’s really about: The events of Jan. 6 were a faith-based initiative,” he said.

Not stopping there, Maher alleged that Trump supporters who believe in a “Christian nationalist movement” are firm in their beliefs that God “literally sent [Trump] from heaven to save them.” He cited comments made by Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who once said that God personally chose Trump for president of the United States of America.

Denmark May Soon Force Churches to Submit Their Sermons to Government

Christian leaders in Denmark say religious liberty and the freedoms of speech and expression have come under fire after a proposed law would require leaders of all faiths to translate their sermons into Danish and submit them to the government.

La Croix International reports the new measure is primarily aimed at radical Islamic groups, but it will also affect churches. It is scheduled to be reviewed this month at the Folketing, the Danish Parliament. The country has more a population of more than 270,000 Muslims, and most of the sermons in the mosques are preached in Arabic.

The government of Denmark has said the law is necessary to curb the growth of Islamic extremism. CBN News sources explain the measure is aimed at getting the preaching of jihad out of mosques, but because Europe is so politically correct they won’t just pinpoint mosques. They’re including churches and casting a broad, politically correct net.

750 killed at Ethiopian Orthodox church said to contain Ark of the Covenant: report

Around 750 people were killed in an attack on an Orthodox church, which is said to contain the Ark of the Covenant described in the Book of Exodus in the Bible, in northern Ethiopia’s war-torn Tigray region — home to thousands of churches and monasteries — according to reports.

Hundreds of people hiding in Maryam Tsiyon Church in Aksum amid an armed conflict were brought out and shot to death, and local residents believe the aim was to take the Ark of Covenant to Addis Ababa, the Belgium-based nonprofit European External Programme with Africa reported in this month’s situational report, released on Jan. 9.

“The number of people killed is reported as 750,” it said. The church, the most ancient and sacred of Ethiopian Christianity and also known as the Church of St. Mary of Zion, belongs to the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

Churches Protest Danish Law Requiring Vetting of Sermons

A number of Christian churches active in Denmark are protesting proposed legislation that would require translated copies of foreign-language sermons to be submitted to government authorities for review.

The government has said the aim of the law is to “enlarge the transparency of religious events and sermons in Denmark, when these are given in a language other than Danish.”

According to Bitter Winter, the new law represents an effort to forestall possible terrorist activity by radical Islamists, but would aversely affect all religious bodies equally, including those that pose little risk of violence.

Leaders of major Christian churches have complained that the legislation would have disastrous effects on religious liberty as well as freedom of speech.

Bible's David and Goliath story rewritten after ‘mistake’ found: ‘Everything was wrong'

The biblical account is told as a lesson of courage, faith, and overcoming what seems impossible, after David – a young shepherd armed only with a sling – beats Goliath, the mighty warrior. Malcolm Gladwell, the author of five New York Times bestsellers, believes this story has been completely misunderstood. Mr Gladwell detailed evidence from the religious text that suggested David was a far-more skilled warrior, and Goliath was the real underdog.

Speaking at a TedTalk, he said: “The Philistines, who are the biggest of enemies of the Kingdom of Israel, are living in the coastal plain. They're originally from Crete.

'Government becomes God': Jacobin's satirical cover literally idolizing Biden strikes nerve

The issue of Jacobin magazine covering the inauguration features a mock icon, complete with a halo around Biden's head, seraphim-like Clintons and angelic killer drones in the sky. Some don't seem to realize it is satire.

The cover for the winter edition of Jacobin, which was previewed hours after Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th US president, mercilessly mocks the US' habit of treating its politicians like celebrities. Taking the next logical step, it reimagines the new president as a messiah, borrowing imagery from traditional Christian iconography.

Vatican Calls for ‘Unprecedented Collective Response’ to Climate Change

The Vatican has called for a “responsible, unprecedented collective response” to the “momentous challenge” of climate change.

Speaking on behalf of Pope Francis, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin said in an online address Monday to the Climate Adaptation Summit taking place in the Netherlands that climate change “represents one of the principal challenges facing humanity in our day.”

“The scientific data at our disposal clearly show the urgent need for swift action,” Cardinal Parolin said. “The transition to a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is a problem not only of the domain of technology, but also a question of consumption patterns, education, and lifestyles.”

The cardinal said that Pope Francis wished to assure participants in the Climate Adaptation Summit “of his closeness, support and encouragement in these days of intense effort.”

If you’ve felt at all like you’re in a spiritual war right now, you’re not alone.

Many of the world’s greatest scholars, philosophers and ascetics understood the world to be multi-dimensional and co-inhabited by non-physical beings both good and evil, always at war with us and each other.

In 1917 Rudolf Steiner Foresaw A Vaccine That Would 'drive All Inclination Toward Spirituality Out Of People’s Souls'
It’s not something that can be rightly explained with language or science. One must cultivate such sensitivity that the existence of spiritual beings can be directly experienced.

Rudolf Steiner was an Austrian philosopher, educator, and spiritualist, and over the course of his life he published numerous books and papers on the science of spirituality. He viewed the human body as a spiritual vessel, open to occupation by other entities.

MADRID -- The first comprehensive internal inquiry on sex abuse allegations by a religious order in Spain has identified 81 children and 37 adult victims by 96 Jesuits since the late 1920s, a much higher number than the cases that had so far been publicly known.

Associations of victims are welcoming the disclosure, but they see it falling short since the names of perpetrators or those who covered up the abuses weren't disclosed. They also want the Jesuits' inquiry to lead to proper criminal cases against the few abusers that are still alive and a detailed plan to compensate their victims.

‘Software error’ blamed for huge discrepancy in Vatican money transfers to Australia

The Holy See Press Office released a statement on Wednesday clarifying recent reports documenting that over $1.7 billion (AUS $2.3 billion) had been sent from official Vatican financial bodies to Australian accounts. The Holy See claims that the shocking number was actually the result of a “software error,” and that the value of the transfers did not exceed $7.4 million.

Last month, LifeSiteNews reported on the news that the Vatican had sent $1.7 billion to accounts in Australia between 2014 and 2020, based on a statement from Australia’s financial watchdog, AUSTRAC. The money was reported to have been sent between the two nations in over 40,000 transactions. Curiously, the yearly transfer value peaked in 2017, when Cardinal George Pell left his position as prefect for the Secretariat for the Economy to face trial in his native Australia on historical child sex abuse charges.

Vatican Claims No Knowledge Of $1.8BN Quietly Transferred To Australia: "We Don’t Have That Kind Of Money"

When Pope Benedict in 2013 took the almost unprecedented action of stepping down from the papacy (given that all or most popes throughout history have served till death), rumors swirled that it was due to extreme irregularities and corruption within the Vatican's notoriously opaque finances. Ostensibly his stepping aside which paved the way for Pope Francis was due to declining health in old age, but speculation has persisted since that it was actually his inability to clean up the mess, or the fact that he was at the helm as scandals persisted.

Since then, further scandals and irregularities at the Vatican Bank have continued to emerge, with the latest in the past weeks being the "disappearance" of a whopping $1.8 billion. Mysterious transfers which eventually totaled to that amount were flagged coming into Australia over the past six years.

However, a source close to Pope Francis claimed he would only serve for seven years, stating he would follow in the footsteps of his predecessor. Austen Ivereigh is the former Director for Public Affairs of the previous Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor and continues to work closely with the Vatican.

Vatican says use of Covid-19 vaccines made from fetal tissue aborted in the 1960s is ethical

The Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) said in a statement released on Monday that it was ethical for Roman Catholics to use coronavirus vaccines that have used cell lines from aborted fetuses.

In the document approved by Pope Francis on 17 December, the doctrinal congregation said that all vaccinations recognized as clinically safe and effective can be used, “with the certain knowledge that the use of such vaccines does not constitute formal cooperation with the abortion.”

The Catholic Church approves the use of vaccines produced with cell lines derived from two fetuses aborted in the 1960s, Vatican News said.

It is morally acceptable to receive Covid-19 vaccines that have used cell lines from aborted fetuses in their research and production process.

Priest who authored UK Catholic sex education book convicted as pedophile

Father Joseph Quigley of the Archdiocese of Birmingham, England was convicted this week of sexual activity with a child, sexual assault, false imprisonment (he liked to lock children in a crypt) and cruelty. One case against him dated from the 1990s, another concerned his actions between 2006 and 2008.

The Archdiocese, headed until 2009 by Vincent Nichols, now the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, and since then by Archbishop Bernard Longley, failed to report Quigley to the police when they learned of one set of his crimes in 2008. Instead, they flew him to the United States for “rehabilitation” in a specialist clinic and subsequently allowed him to return to work in the U.K.

After that, he was supposedly under “restrictions,” but managed somehow to celebrate Mass at a school in 2009, and he was commissioned by the Archdiocese to carry out a school inspection in 2011.

The Occult Symbolism of the Vatican’s 2020 Nativity Scene

On December 11th, the Vatican unveiled its 2020 Nativity scene in St-Peter’s Square. And, once the red drape covering the scene was removed, the crowd discovered a towering, brutalist, and totem-like Angel Gabriel staring back at them, along with an astronaut and a masked executioner (yes, those guys who kill people who are sentenced to death).

Let’s say that the applause following the unveiling was “polite”. Here are some pictures of the Nativity scene.

'Meth Addict's Garage Sale': New Nativity Scene in the Vatican Gets Savaged Online

The scene's design led at least one social media user to wonder aloud whether the Pope is actually "just trolling Christianity".

A new nativity scene that has recently been unveiled at St. Peter's Square in the Vatican has attracted quite a lot of attention online already, but perhaps not of the kind its creators were hoping for.

As Reuters points out, the Vatican uses a different nativity scene each year, usually donated by towns or artists, with some of the previous scenes featuring elements such as "a broken boat representing the plight of refugees and a person visiting an inmate in a jail cell, symbolising charity".

Colorado, New Jersey worshipers win US Supreme Court fight over Covid-19 shutdowns as lower courts ordered to re-examine rules

The US Supreme Court has ruled in favor of a Colorado church and a New Jersey priest and rabbi who challenged state shutdowns of religious services, ordering lower courts to re-examine government Covid-19 restrictions.

Tuesday's ruling threw out lower federal-court rulings upholding state orders that had shut down religious gatherings in the states. Lower courts were ordered to re-examine restrictions on indoor religious services ordered by Colorado Governor Jared Polis and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy in light of the high court's November 26 ruling that blocked New York from imposing Covid-19 capacity limits on houses of worship.

The latest victory for religious liberties also follows a December 3 decision in which the Supreme Court ruled against California Governor Gavin Newsom's restrictions on religious services.

December 11, 2020: The Vatican’s Nativity Scene Celebrates the Death Cult

On December 11, the Vatican presented the Catholic ‘church’ its Nativity Scene for this year. It symbolizes the celebration of the Death Cult, centralized power and several dark narratives that have been conditioning the minds of the public in 2020.

The Nativity Scene sets the tone for 2021, it is all about the destruction of the society that we are supposed to leave behind (‘post-COVID’) and the introduction of the Death Cult’s “Great Reset” agenda.

The main theme is imposed by the statue that oversees the Nativity Scene, a djed pillar with a woman’s head on top of it.

What in God’s name? Pope Francis plans to ‘fix’ global capitalism – with the help of the Rothschilds, Rockerfellers and Mastercard

The Vatican has said it will partner with Fortune 500 companies to address various economic grievances, including inequality and environmental degradation. But is it really incumbent upon the Bishop of Rome to virtue-signal?
Anyone entertaining hopes that planet Earth might escape the insanity of 2020 without any more mind-blowing stories may wish to fasten their seatbelts for a hard landing.

At a time when a global pandemic has swept away millions of jobs, and transformed a handful of global capitalists from ‘merely wealthy’ to fantastically wealthy overnight, Pope Francis has decided to take sides in this epic battle. Any hunches what side that might be? Hint: much like the Vatican, it is immensely wealthy, influential, and acts like a government unto itself.

“Mummified Mary,” “Weeble Jesus” (after the ovate children’s toys launched by Hasbro in the 1970s), “Martians,” “toilet paper rolls,” and “astronauts” were some of the comparisons made to the cylindrical figures meant to represent the Holy Family, the Magi, and the shepherds at Bethlehem.

GEORGE SOROS AND POPE FRANCIS: AN UNHOLY ALLIANCE

The election of a liberal Jesuit to the papacy thrilled Democrats in the United States, whose unholy alliance with the Catholic left goes back many decades. Barack Obama, one of the pope’s most prominent supporters, has long been a beneficiary of that alliance. The faculty at Jesuit Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., ranked as one of the top donors to his campaign.

In a grim irony, Obama, whose presidency substantially eroded religious freedom in America, rose to power not in spite of the Catholic Church but because of it. The archdiocese of Chicago helped bankroll his radicalism in the 1980s. As he recounts in his memoirs, he began his work as a community organizer in the rectory rooms of Holy Rosary parish on Chicago’s South Side. The Alinskyite organization for which he worked — the Developing Communities Project — received tens of thousands of dollars from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

Turin Cathedral Criticized For Putting Face Masks on Nativity

The Cathedral of Turin has been criticised by some after putting facemasks on the Virgin Mary, Joseph, the Three Wise Men and others in its annual nativity scene.

Augusta Montaruli, a member of the national-conservative Brothers of Italy (FdI) and an MP for Turin, slammed the Christmas move by the Cathedral saying, “The decision to put masks on the characters of the nativity scene set up in the Cathedral of Turin lacks common sense.”

“I certainly agree with the caution and anti-contagion protection, necessary to overcome this difficult phase, but the nativity scene has the value of re-enactment, symbolically representing the birth of Jesus, and bringing back believers, to a particular atmosphere lived two thousand years ago,” Montraruli said.

Pope Frances Will Make 'High Risk' Official Visit To Iraq In March

The Vatican has announced that Pope Francis plans to break his 15-month hiatus from international travel, a delay which was also largely to blame on the coronavirus pandemic, by visiting Iraq in the Spring of 2021.

It's being widely reported as a surprising and "risky" trip given the tense security situation there, also as COVID-19 infections spike globally. It's planned for March 5-8.

According to the official announcement Monday, "He will visit Baghdad, the plain of Ur, linked to the memory of Abraham, the city of Erbil, as well as Mosul and Qaraqosh in the plain of Nineveh," said the Vatican Press Office.

FLASHBACK - Trump limits IRS action over church political activity

Declaring he was giving churches their “voices back,” President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday aimed at easing an IRS rule limiting political activity for religious organizations — a move that fell far short of a more sweeping order some supporters had expected.

As he marked the National Day of Prayer at the White House on Thursday, Trump signed the order on religious freedom, which directs the Treasury Department to not take “adverse action” over churches or religious organizations for political speech. The rule has rarely been enforced. Still, opponents said the restrictions have a chilling effect on free speech.

Bill Gates briefed CIA on how to lobotomize Christian fundamentalists, religious “fanatics,” using vaccine that alters VMAT2 “God” gene?

According to a video circulating on the web, Billionaire and eugenicist Bill Gates may have briefed agents with the Central Intelligence Agency giving them details on how to eliminate what the presenter and alleged agents in attendance at the meeting called the “fanatic” gene from the brains of Christian fundamentalists and other individuals that the government deems a threat.

If the video is truly authentic, a 49-year-old Gates would be heard telling bureau agents during a Project FUNVAC briefing back in April of 2005 that the human VMAP2 gene, also known as the “God gene,” can be altered using a vaccine.

According to the man on the video who appears to look somewhat similar to Gates, a project research team was able to map out notate a rather drastic difference in expression between to sample sets of human test subjects which he referred to as sample sets A and B during the briefing.

Vatican Says Biden Presidency Can Play ‘Key Role’ in Paris Climate Deal

The Vatican suggested Thursday a Biden presidency might inject new life into the stagnant Paris Climate Accord after President Trump pulled the U.S. out of the deal in 2017.

The Vatican COVID-19 Commission announced Thursday that it is organizing a webinar next week in preparation for a December 12 global climate summit to be co-hosted by the United Nations and the UK to mark the fifth anniversary of the Paris Agreement.

On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox News @ Night,” Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) praised the Supreme Court’s rulings striking down coronavirus restrictions on religious institutions and stated that religious institutions being treated worse than other institutions demonstrates “the antagonistic nature or attitude that many in our government have towards religious institutions or people of different religions, and it just says either they don’t know about the First Amendment and our freedom of religion, or they don’t value it.”

The First Freedom

Reading the court’s decision, and particularly the thoughtful and brilliant concurrence by Justice Neil Gorsuch — who wrote that “government is not free to disregard the First Amendment in times of crisis” — one can see that Cuomo lost this case because while he may understand the science, he does not understand the jurisprudence. -- Freedom of religion is not the first freedom by mistake. It was the judgment of the framers that this freedom is as essential to human fulfillment as are any other free choices that free people make. -- By failing to recognize that natural, historic and jurisprudential truism, Cuomo doomed his executive order to the ash bin of history.

Citing rise of ‘Christian nationalism,’ Secular Democrats unveil sweeping recommendations for Biden

A Democratic group dedicated to representing secular values unveiled a slate of recommendations for President-elect Joe Biden’s incoming administration on Monday (Nov. 30), outlining a sweeping agenda designed to roll back many of President Trump’s actions involving religion and to “restore a vision of constitutional secularism.”

The 28-page document, crafted by the Secular Democrats of America PAC, is being presented to the incoming administration by Democratic Representatives Jamie Raskin and Jared Huffman — both co-chairs of the Congressional Freethought Caucus.

The SDA’s agenda offers a wide range of policy recommendations to push back against the so-called “Christian nationalist movement,” which the the group describes as an “extraordinarily well-funded and well-organized” phenomenon whose “extreme and sectarian agenda (was) on constant display under the Trump-Pence administration.”

Nolte: Thanksgiving SCOTUS Decision Shows We’re One Vote from Losing First Amendment

What have we already learned on this Thanksgiving Day? That we are one vote away, just one little vote, from losing our sacred First Amendment rights, our right to assemble and to worship our God.

You don’t need me to tell you — well, maybe if you attended public schools you do — that one of the primary reasons the pilgrims jumped on the Mayflower and came over to this continent was to escape the religious persecution of fascists like New York’s Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who flagrantly issued an edict outlawing religious services of more than ten or 25 people, depending on the area.

Cuomo audaciously wrote his own law, one that violates the First Amendment’s right to peaceful assembly and the First Amendment’s explicit call for government to not interfere with how American citizens practice their religion.

Pope Francis: Coronavirus Reveals the ‘Great Evil Afflicting the World’

Pope Francis has urged seminarians in Rome to offer the world a solution to the “great evil” that afflicts it, an evil laid bare by the coronavirus.

Without ever identifying this “great evil” by name, the pope seemed to hint that it represents divisions and a lack of universal brotherhood.

A number of bishops also penned their own letters to MPs and government ministers, requesting evidence for the ban on Mass and warning of causing discord. Perhaps surprisingly, many MPs also raised the matter in Parliament, warning of the precedent set by such an attack on religious liberty, without any evidence presented to justify the measures.

New Irish law banning gatherings threatens prison for priests who say Mass

As a result of an astonishing new law passed in Ireland last night, members of the clergy could now face imprisonment for celebrating Mass or other ceremonies.

An amendment was made to the 1947 Health Act, concerning temporary restrictions in the nation-wide lockdown, and passed into law by the Irish Parliament, or Dáil, on October 22. Article 8 of the new regulations outlines restrictions on events, and reads: “A person shall not organise, or cause to be organised, a relevant event in a relevant geographical location other than in accordance with paragraph (2).”

Paragraph (2) lists the only two permissible exceptions to the law, which are if the event takes place “only outdoors” and if the organizer “takes all reasonable steps to ensure that the event is attended, or proposed to be attended, by persons residing in no more than 2 different places of residence.”
