Councilmen In Cali Arrested Over Election Fraud

A California city councilman and five other people are standing against election fraud charges after a June vote-by-mail runoff in which the councilman secured re-election by one vote.

Compton Councilman Isaac Galvan, 34, was accused of conspiracy to commit election fraud and ventured bribery with a purpose to meddle with an election, City News Service reported.

Galvan supposedly tried to bribe a registrar’s office employee using concert tickets, the Los Angeles Times reported. That employee and an election observer informed the authorities about Galvan, the report mentioned.
