Egyptian delegation inspects Libyan airports to resume direct flights

Adelegation from Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority is set to inspect several Libyan airports during the coming days in preparation for the resumption of direct flights between the two countries.

It was agreed to operate 35 flights per week from Mitiga, Misrata, and Benina International Airports to Cairo International Airport.

General Director of African Airlines, Khalil Al-Majma’i, said that a delegation from Libya’s Ministry of Communications visited Egypt recently, and held several meetings with officials from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.

He said that the meetings with the Egyptian side dealt with arrangements for the return of flights between Libya and Egypt. They also reviewed cooperation in the fields of security, safety, transportation, air navigation, training, and the rehabilitation of Libyan employees working in the aviation sector.
