Parents Organize to Push Back Against Critical Race Theory

A growing number of American parents are getting together to find ways to block the spread of the quasi-Marxist critical race theory (CRT) in schools where they send their children.

They see the doctrine as a culprit in creating a toxic environment and exacerbating problems it claims to ameliorate. School officials have been responding with denials or silence.

CRT has been spreading throughout academia, entertainment, government, schools, and corporations. It redefines America’s history as a struggle between “oppressors” (white people) and the “oppressed” (everybody else), similarly to Marxism’s reduction of human history to a struggle between the “bourgeoisie” and the “proletariat.” It labels institutions that emerged in majority-white societies as “systemically” or “structurally” racist.

Virginia moving to eliminate all accelerated math courses before 11th grade as part of equity-focused plan

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is moving to eliminate all accelerated math options prior to 11th grade, effectively keeping higher-achieving students from advancing as they usually would in the school system.

Loudoun County school board member Ian Serotkin posted about the change via Facebook on Tuesday. According to Serotkin, he learned of the change the night prior during a briefing from staff on the Virginia Mathematics Pathway Initiative (VMPI).

"[A]s currently planned, this initiative will eliminate ALL math acceleration prior to 11th grade," he said. "That is not an exaggeration, nor does there appear to be any discretion in how local districts implement this. All 6th graders will take Foundational Concepts 6. All 7th graders will take Foundational Concepts 7. All 10th graders will take Essential Concepts 10. Only in 11th and 12th grade is there any opportunity for choice in higher math courses."

Former Temple Business School Dean Charged Federally For Manipulating School Ranking Data

The former dean of Temple's Fox School of Business is being charged with federal crimes after being ousted due to an investigation that found the school "manipulated data" to become the number one ranked MBA program in the country.

Professor endures 9 months of investigation for objecting to segregated diversity training: report

Lake Washington Institute of Technology allegedly barred a tenured professor from the classroom and investigated her for nine months because she spoke out against anti-racism training, according to a recent report from Reason.

Duke University Investigating Students For “Hate Speech” For Mentioning George Floyd’s Drug Use

The Community Editorial Board of The Chronicle, Duke University’s student paper, wants the university to regulate “hate speech” on campus afterr a student criticized George Floyd for drug use.

The editorial said it’s time to “[u]pdate the community standard[s] now” after what it saw as a failure of university officials to address its concerns about an incident on campus.

The editorial comes after someone posted George Floyd’s toxicology report on a residence hall bulletin board that celebrated Black History Month. “Mix of drugs presents in difficulty breathing!” the person wrote. “Overdose? Good man? Use of false currency is felony!”

University officials have launched an investigation into the incident.

A new bill protecting “intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity” in public colleges and universities in Florida was passed Wednesday by the Florida state Senate.

Billionaire George Soros pledged $500 million to a private liberal arts college in New York, one of the largest single donations given to a university in higher education history, the school said.

Leon Botstein, president of Bard College, said the money will help establish a $1 billion endowment, calling Soros’s gift the “most historic moment” since the school was founded in 1860.

Florida School Forcing ‘Re-Education’ On Students Who Don’t Want To Wear Masks

Students at Clearwater High School in Florida have been warned that they will be “re-educated” on the importance of wearing a mask if they are seen on school premises not wearing a face covering.

University of Michigan’s ADVANCE program has been hit with allegations of discrimination, with former employees accusing its leadership of allowing microaggressions and a toxic environment to fester, among other claims.

Concord Cancels School Due To Bad Reactions To COVID-19 Vaccine

The Concord School District abruptly canceled school on Monday after a flood of teachers and other district staffers called in sick one day after many received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Parents in the SAU 8 district received phone calls, emails, and text messages notifying them there would not be school at just before 6:30 a.m. The alerts stated it was due to the level of teacher absenteeism across the district. The decision was made as principals began fielding calls from educators early on Monday that they were sick.

School Superintendent Kathleen Murphy said the closure was more than just teachers though — many staffers, including district office employees, also got shots Sunday, and reported adverse reactions to them.

STUPID is the new “progress” … Oregon trying to abolish math, claiming it’s racist

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) has launched a new instruction program for public school teachers throughout the state that claims the subject of mathematics is “racist” and promotes “white supremacy.”

The department sent out an online pamphlet called, “A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction” that contains a section entitled, “Dismantling Racism in Mathematics Instruction.” In it, teachers are urged to reimagine the nature of math to make it more “inclusive” for black and brown people who apparently have trouble understanding it.

Students should not necessarily be told that technically wrong answers in math are existentially “wrong,” the pamphlet suggests. Claiming that an answer to a math question is either right or wrong is inherently “racist,” it goes on to conclude, instructing teachers about ways to abolish this type of “white supremacist” thinking from the classroom.

A new report out of the Guardian exposes an insidious scheme by police and school officials to fine students who miss too many online classes. Tracie Higgins was one of these parents who was shocked when police showed up at her home to issue her teenage son a $439 fine for missing Zoom meetings for class.

Higgins told the Guardian the reason for the online absences was due to faulty school technology, including a Chromebook that wouldn’t charge. But police and the school district reportedly did not care, so Higgins’s son was extorted.

Debra Pratt, another mother from the same district was also confronted by armed agents of the state who showed up at her home to extort her son for the same reason. Her son Jason racked up 28 unexcused absences online, including while he was battling the coronavirus.

On Thursday, California State Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the curriculum. “We are reminded daily that racism is not only a legacy of the past but a clear and present danger,” said the board’s president Linda Darling-Hammond. “We must understand this history if we are finally to end it.”

In 2019, the bill was held up after some claimed the program singled out Israel and failed to adequately address antisemitism. Some simple, obvious facts are too politically incorrect for academics to state publicly. Georgetown University just fired law professor Sandra Sellers and forced out professor David Batson. Sellers' offense? "I end up having this angst every semester that a lot of my lower ones are blacks," Sellers' said in discussion with another professor at the end of a Zoom call.

Batson's offense? He didn't condemn the statement, but instead sympathized with Sellers’ concerns. “What drives me crazy is… my own unconscious biases playing out in the scheme of things” might be responsible for their poor scores, he said. The logic is that blacks do poorly in college because of professors' biases.

A Manhattan private school aiming to use more “inclusive language” is encouraging its students to stop using the terms “mom,” “dad” and “parents” as the words make assumptions about the children’s home lives.

The Grace Church School in Noho — which offers academic courses for junior kindergarten through 12th grade — issued a 12-page guide to students and staff explaining the school’s grand mission of inclusivity.

The detailed guide recommends using the terms “grown-ups,” “folks,” “family” or “guardians” as alternatives to “mom,” “dad” and “parents.” It additionally suggests using the term “caregiver” instead of “nanny/babysitter.”

This school district is rated number four in the state of Virginia and has made national headlines for moving away from Dr. Seuss from associating him with their reading celebration due to the “racial undertones” in several of his books.

This Virginia teacher reached out to The Gateway Pundit following the meeting in Loudoun County. The teacher who runs Patriotic Educators on Instagram told this reporter Loudoun County schools policies and leadership trickle down to the rest of the school districts and pave the way to further indoctrinate the rest of the state.

While only ONE teacher from this district has spoken up, it is rare and extremely dangerous for teachers to speak up due to cancel-culture and horrible backlash.

This Texas School Never Required Kids to Mask or Distance

No masks. No social distancing. No mandatory quarantines and no shutdowns. In the Peaster Independent School District in Texas, life went on as usual when school started in fall 2020 and everything was fine.

In fact, as the school year rolled on with homecoming and other fall activities including sports and the annual pancake dinner and festival going on as scheduled, the district actually experienced higher enrollment and average daily attendance than last year, according to superintendent Lance Johnson.

In an interview with CBS, Johnson said most students are on track to finish the school year on grade level, closing the learning gap that occurred when schools shut down in spring 2020.

Most interesting, though, was the response of the parents and community. The district surveyed families before opening. Fifty-five percent said they’d send the kids to school if the buildings opened with masks and social distancing mandated.

Georgetown Law professor is fired after saying black students are 'plain at bottom of her class almost every semester' and her colleague is suspended for failing to correct her after they accidentally recorded their zoom chat

Georgetown Law has fired one white professor and placed another on administrative leave after a video of their discussion about a black student was condemned on social media.

Dean Bill Treanor anounced on Thursday that the school had ended its relationship with Professor Sandra Sellers, 62, after the video showed her complaining on Zoom that black students were predominantly at the bottom of her class.

She was speaking to Professor David Batson, who was placed on leave on Thursday for not correcting Sellers pending a further investigation by the prestigious law school, which was attended by former first daughter Tiffany Trump.

Miss. School Slammed for Assignment Instructing Students to 'Pretend Like You Are' Enslaved

A Mississippi school district is facing criticism after a class assignment asked middle schoolers to put themselves in the shoes of an enslaved person, and write letters to friends and family.

The assignment given to eighth-graders at Purvis Middle School told students to "pretend like you are a slave working on a Mississippi plantation," according to a screenshot of the assignment that Black Lives Matter Mississippi posted to Twitter.

The students were then instructed to write a letter "to your family back in Africa or in another American state" describing their lives, their journey to America and their daily tasks.

"You may also want to tell about the family you live with/work for and how you pass your time when you aren't working," the assignment said.

The image prompted outrage on social media, including from Black Lives Matter Mississippi's social media manager, Jeremy Marquell Bridges, who said he was sent a screenshot of the assignment by a parent.

200 academics back lecturer under attack from 'proud Zionists'

Two hundred academics from Britain and the US have signed an open letter defending prominent British Professor David Miller who is under attack for criticising the Zionist state of Israel. Miller has spent 15 years tracking the nefarious effects of the fossil fuel lobby, the pharmaceutical lobby, and the tobacco lobby, as well as state lobbies that promote Islamophobia, such as those of Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, it is Miller's work in exposing the work of the pro-Israel lobby that has angered groups like the Union of Jewish Students (UJS), which is leading the campaign against him. The union describes itself as a "proud" Zionist organisation. Its own constitution commits members of the UJS to "making an enduring commitment" to Israel.

An Arizona State University Associate Dean penned a 358-page book detailing how grading student’s writing is a form of racism and white supremacy.

In a book titled “Labor-Based Grading Contracts: Building Equity and Inclusion in the Compassionate Writing Classroom,” professor Asao Inoue encourages teachers to ditch grading for a “labor-based” grading system wherein students earn grades based on their effort. The quality of a student’s writing would not help or hinder their course grade.

“This book focuses on one kind of grading contract, one that calculates final course grades purely by the labor students complete, not by any judgments of the quality of their writing,” Inoue writes. “While the qualities of student writing is still at the center of the classroom and feedback, it has no bearing on the course grade.”
