Hamilton Catholic school board investigates allegations of former employee's racist messagesSocial Sharing

The Hamilton Catholic school board is undergoing an investigation into allegations that an occasional education assistant allegedly posted racist and hate-filled messages online for years under a pseudonym.

Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board Chair Pat Daly said the staff member, who worked at St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School, is no longer an employee, but could not say if he was fired or resigned.

None of the allegations have been proven, but Daly said if "he was communicating … anything like, anywhere close to what is suggested … that would be very, very concerning from any employee of our board, particularly those that interact directly and often with students."

Timothy Juhlke was unavailable after multiple requests for comment over two weeks from CBC News, but told The Hamilton Spectator he was hacked.
