NJ Gov. Murphy expected to make big announcement about school masks

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has changed his mind.

So today he is going to announce that when New Jersey students return to class in a few weeks they will be required to wear a mask.

While the COVID numbers in the Garden State are not as bad as many other states, cases here are five times higher than they were a month ago: about 1,000 new cases per day and climbing.

The governor has said all 600 districts in the state just offer full time in-person learning this fall - and now that learning must happen fully masked.
