"Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it." -- George Orwell, 1984
Georgia gubernatorial hopeful Stacey Abrams (D) claimed over the weekend that her poll numbers were lagging in part because black men were unable to see through the “misinformation” that was being used to target them.
My research team is currently monitoring online political content being sent to voters in swing states through more than 2,500 computers owned by a politically-diverse group of registered voters (our “field agents”), and we are concerned about what we’re seeing.
We are aggregating and analyzing search results on the Google and Bing search engines, messages displayed on Google’s home page, autoplay videos suggested on YouTube, tweets sent to users by the Twitter company (as opposed to tweets sent by other users), email suppression on Gmail, and more.
We have so far preserved more than 1.9 million “ephemeral experiences” – exposure to short-lived content that impacts people and then disappears, leaving no trace – that Google and other companies are able to use to shift opinions and voting preferences, and we expect to have captured more than 2.5 million by Election Day.
Following a heated competition for local offices, veterans in the insurgent GI Non-Partisan League took up arms to prevent a local courthouse ring headed by state senator Paul Cantrell and linked to Memphis political boss Ed Crump from stealing the election. When Sheriff Pat Mansfield's deputies absconded to the jail with key ballot boxes, suspicious veterans took action. A small group of veterans broke into the local National Guard Armory, seized weapons and ammunition, and proceeded to the jail to demand the return of the ballot boxes. The Cantrell-Mansfield deputies refused, and the veterans, now numbering several hundred, opened fire. The ensuing battle lasted several hours and ended only after the dynamiting of the front of the jail. The surrender of the deputies did not end the riot, and the mob was still turning over police cars and burning them hours later. Within days the local election commission swore in the veteran candidates as duly elected. The McMinn County veterans had won the day in a hail of gunfire, dynamite, and esprit de corps.
Google–one of the largest and most influential organizations in the modern world–is filled with ex-CIA agents. Studying employment websites and databases, MintPress has ascertained that the Silicon Valley giant has recently hired dozens of professionals from the Central Intelligence Agency in recent years. Moreover, an inordinate number of these recruits work in highly politically sensitive fields, wielding considerable control over how its products work and what the world sees on its screens and in its search results.
Chief amongst these is the trust and safety department, whose staff, in the words of then Google trust and safety vice president Kristie Canegallo, “[d]ecide what content is allowed on our platform”–in other words, setting the rules of the internet, determining what billions see and what they do not see. Before Google, Canegallo had been President Obama’s Deputy White House Chief of Staff for Implementation and is currently Chief of Staff at the Department of Homeland Security.
Shepard Smith, the host of “The News with Shepard Smith,” will become a distant memory as CNBC cancels the nightly news broadcast in the next few weeks. Media officials admitted that Smith’s show would cease to be on the air by the end of the month. CNBC has indicated that it wants to focus on a new audience, but they have not specified what that new audience will look like.
The Blaze says, “After a contentious vote on Friday, the Florida Board of Medicine and Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine adopted rules that will prohibit doctors from prescribing certain medicines or performing certain surgeries on minors who believe that they are transgender. Florida Surgeon General Joseph Lapado had pushed the rules. They were publicly supported by Governor Ron DeSantis (R), who took issue with some in the medical community last week during a gubernatorial debate.”
According to Breitbart, “The video starts with audio of Trump saying that next week’s election is a “referendum” on President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D), and Democrat Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D).”
The article continues, “The radical left Democrat Congress is destroying our country,” Trump said. “You’ll elect an incredible slate of True America First Republicans up and down the ballot.”
The video encourages Americans to vote to help save America from the Democrats. Then, it shows voters who they need to vote for in this election. According to Breitbart, “The video then cuts to a montage of America First Republican candidates, including Arizona’s Kari Lake and Blake Masters, Pennsylvania’s Mehmet Oz and Doug Mastriano, Ohio’s J.D. Vance, North Carolina’s Ted Budd, Alaska’s Sarah Palin, and Kelly Tshibaka, Georgia’s Herschel Walker, Texas’s Gov. Greg Abbott, Michigan’s Tudor Dixon, Wyoming’s Harriet Hageman, and Nevada’s Joe Lombardo and Adam Laxalt.”
The Pentagon announced that it is setting up a new command, based in Germany, to oversee the training and equipping of Ukraine’s military during its fight with Russia, the New York Times reported on Friday. The command is named Security Assistance Group-Ukraine, or SAG-U.
The news came soon after the announcement of another $400 million arms package to Ukraine, including tanks and drones. These weapons will be used to retake territory Russia has annexed, according to Kiev. Current and former US officials told the Times these moves suggest that Washington "expects the threat from Russia to Ukraine and its neighbors to persist for many years."
Sabrina Singh, the deputy Pentagon press secretary, told reporters the new command will "ensure we are postured to continue supporting Ukraine over the long term." She added the US remains "committed to Ukraine for as long as it takes."
The war in Ukraine has spurred European countries to seek hundreds of billions in new weapons. American arms manufacturers are the “biggest beneficiaries” of the increased demand for weapons, according to a Yahoo News report.
Ian Bond, director of foreign policy at the Centre for European Reform, described the surge in the market for weapons as the highest since the Cold War. “This is certainly the biggest increase in defense spending in Europe since the end of the Cold War,” he said. Melissa Rossi wrote in Yahoo that American companies have “been the biggest beneficiary” of the demand.
Members of the European Union have planned to increase their defense budgets by $230 billion, led by Germany’s pledge to increase military spending by $100 billion. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), European governments get most of their weapons from American weapon makers.
The Washington Postreported on Saturday that the US is privately encouraging Ukraine to signal an openness to negotiations with Russia but for public relations purposes, not to actually pursue diplomacy.
Sources told the Post that the US wants Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to drop his official position of ruling out talks with Russia as long as Vladimir Putin is president, which is essentially a call for regime change in Moscow. The idea is to maintain support for Ukraine from nations uneasy about Zelensky’s stance on negotiations.
The report reads: “The request by American officials is not aimed at pushing Ukraine to the negotiating table, these people said. Rather, they called it a calculated attempt to ensure the government in Kyiv maintains the support of other nations facing constituencies wary of fueling a war for many years to come.”
A loud guffaw at the pretentious slogan All the News That’s Fit to Print! Today marks a milestone (millstone?) for the New York Times. This morning it can smugly celebrate success in hiding for 30 months horse’s-mouth evidence putting the lie to its "Russia-gate" yarn that Russia hacked Democratic National Committee emails to help Donald Trump win in 2016. (The evidence was released on May 7, 2020; before that, Adam Schiff had been able to hide it for only 29 months.)
The emails showed how the DNC had tipped the playing field against candidate Bernie Sanders for the nomination. Someone gave them to WikiLeaks , which posted them just days before the Democratic National Convention. Court testimony has now made it demonstrably clear that that "someone" was not Russia, but this has been kept out of the corporate media. Russian DNC-hacking was all a fake, and "important" people knew that five years ago, but have been able to suppress it.
America is no longer a country where citizens are afforded equal justice under the law, as guaranteed by their Constitution, because the nation’s top law enforcement agency has been corrupted by politicized leadership and a “woke, leftist agenda” being imposed from the top, Republican lawmakers have claimed.
The allegations were contained in a 1,050-page report released on Friday by Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee. The report, which was based on information gathered from 14 FBI whistleblowers who came forward to expose a pattern of misconduct, argued that the agency was “rotted at its core.”
“Quite simply, the problem — the rot within the FBI — festers in and proceeds from Washington,” the report said. “The FBI and its parent agency, the Justice Department, have become political institutions.”
The viral clip of the Pfizer marketing rep, admitting to the European Parliament that the mRNA vaccines never stopped transmission, should make every single one of these moments, into a source of deep embarrassment and self-criticism for all those people — all of them —- who inflicted these violations of privacy on others, or who excluded in any way, their neighbors and fellow countrymen and women. They did so, it is clear now to all, on the basis of arrant nonsense.
But meanwhile, I forgive them. I have to. Because otherwise the rage and sorrow would exhaust me to death.
I forgive my neighbor who froze when I hugged her.
I forgive my other neighbor, who told me that she was making homemade soup and fresh bread, and that I could join her to have some, if I was vaccinated. If I was unvaccinated, however, she explained, someday she might consent to walk outside with me.
The concept underlying vaccine development is straightforward: application of a harmless derivative of an infectious agent should stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies that protect against that agent.
Introduction of any foreign substance into the body can never be entirely devoid of risks, however, so the prime question to be addressed is whether the benefit can be expected to outweigh the risks. Therefore,
the pathogen must be dangerous—an infection with it is associated with a high morbidity and mortality rate, and
vaccination will generate robust immunological protection against severe disease.
These requisites were fulfilled in the historic successes of vaccine development against smallpox, tetanus, diphtheria and poliomyelitis. The euphoria created by these scientific milestones caused one decisive fact to be overlooked, however. In all four cases, the agents were transported to their destination in the bloodstream, where they could be captured by the antibodies.
It is essential to realize that this is the exception and not the rule. Most viral pathogens cause self-limiting infections of the respiratory or the gastrointestinal tract. Severe damage to internal organs caused by their spread via the bloodstream occurs infrequently, and infections are generally not associated with high death rates. Because of their ubiquity, a high level of background immunity to such viruses is already present in the general population. For these simple reasons, a genuine need for development of vaccines against most viral pathogens does not exist.
Hospitals around the U.S. are suddenly struggling to keep up with surging rates of respiratory infections among children, such as respiratory syncytial virus (RSV),1 COVID, rhinoviruses and influenza.2 Hospital staff feign confusion, saying they have no idea what’s going on.
Meanwhile, censored scientists and doctors have long warned that the mRNA COVID jabs are destroying people’s immune systems, and that we’re going to see an avalanche of infections as immune system failure sets in.
Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen predicted disastrous results for her party — and she said that they only had themselves to blame after repeatedly failing to “listen to voters” in the weeks and months leading up to Tuesday’s midterm elections.
Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee sat down with Ben Shapiro on this week’s episode of “The Sunday Special” to discuss why American businesses and citizens across the United States have relocated to the southern state.
He announces on the news that he’s made up his mind about the 2024 election. Meanwhile, the rest of the Americans eagerly wait for the official announcement. Now, we might finally get one.
NYPost reports, “One source added that November 14, the Monday after the midterm elections, is the likely date the 45th President will launch his bid. Another source said an announcement would come sometime this month, but they had not heard of a specific date.”
The White House quickly reversed course after President Joe Biden said the administration would be working to shutter coal-fired power plants amid an energy crisis following a rebuke from a leading Democrat from a coal-producing state.
“I was in Massachusetts about a month ago on the site of the largest old coal plant in America. Guess what? It cost them too much money,” Biden said during an event in Carlsbad, Calif., on Friday. “No one is building new coal plants because they can’t rely on it, even if they have all the coal guaranteed for the rest of the existence of the plant. So it’s going to become a wind generation.”
“And all they’re doing is, it’s going to save them a hell of a lot of money, and using the same transmission line that they transmitted the coal-fired electric on, we’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar power,” Biden pledged.
