Thought for the day
"War will exist until the distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige as the warrior does today" -- John F.Kennedy
A malfunctioning South Korean ballistic missile blew up as it ploughed into the ground on Wednesday during a live-fire drill with the United States that was a reprisal for North Korea's successful launch a day earlier of a weapon that flew over Japan and has the range to strike the US territory of Guam.
The explosion and subsequent fire panicked and confused residents of the coastal city of Gangneung, who were already uneasy over the increasingly provocative weapons tests by rival North Korea.
Their concern that it could be a North Korean attack only grew as the military and government officials provided no explanation about the explosion for hours.
Three council members representing the Queens, NY area are attempting to push the Police Department to eliminate a gang database that the agency maintains.
One of the three councilmembers pushing this is Tiffany Caban, and The Post Millennial reports that she has called the database a “dragnet for surveilling black and brown New Yorkers.”
However, as recently as August, gang members were known to have entered a coffee shop directly across from Caban’s office with guns and robbed customers in that shop. Queens Councilmembers Julie Won of the 26th District and Shekar Krishnan of District 25 are joining Caban in this push to eliminate the gang database despite recent spikes in gang-related crime.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) says human smuggling attempts by aircraft are becoming more common in the border state.
Over the last 30 days, Texas DPS has stopped three human smuggling attempts via plane at different airports in the same area of the Rio Grande Valley, according to Texas Highway Patrol Staff Lieutenant Christopher Olivarez.
"We're seeing an increase," Olivarez said of human smuggling attempts by plane. "It's started to become more common. But … these are small, private airports. They're not using the larger airports where there's TSA. These are the smaller airports where you don't have the security measures in place for private planes. It's kind of hard to … do surveillance at every single airport."
A Massachusetts father and son pair of restaurant owners in the Boston area were arrested Tuesday in connection with an alleged human smuggling operation in which victims were allegedly forced to work in the establishments to pay off their debt.
Jesse James Moraes, 64, and Hugo Giovanni Moraes, 42, Woburn residents, were each charged with conspiring to encourage and induce an alien to come to, enter, and reside in the United States for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain, the Justice Department said.
Chelbe Willams Moraes, a resident of Brazil, is also accused of smuggling migrants illegally into the United States from Brazil in exchange for $18,000 to $22,000 in fees. Once in the U.S., the migrants were allegedly employed by Jesse Moraes and Hugo Moraes at two of their restaurants – Taste of Brazil—Tudo No Brasa and The Dog House Bar & Grill.
Losing trust in doctors and the medical establishment is a sad consequence of the pandemic.
Doctors have not done all that they should have to better serve their patients in the COVID pandemic.
After truth telling in my writings for about two years, I remain saddened that the vast majority of the public remains victimized by propaganda in favor of vaccines and boosters while ignoring the many truths I and others have been shouting.
It now seems important for all of us who know the truth to put much of the blame on regular doctors that people ordinarily see. The very sad fact is that nearly all of them are a combination of being ignorant (about COVID, vaccines and their alternatives), cowards for being unwilling to risk their jobs and prestige, and just plain biased – supporting what government agencies and medical establishment forces have hit the public with.
We need a public uprising against prevalent physician beliefs and behaviors.
Residents and workers in the area have reported to the New York Post that their once vibrant neighborhoods are now entirely different and scary.
In September alone, the neighborhood had at least four trash fires. Those fires were taken care of quickly, but the amount of crime and lawlessness that continues to plague the area has begun to spiral out of control, according to reports from the residents who live there and the people who work in the area.
It seems that the criminals are encouraged by a lack of oversight over their actions and perhaps the lack of a meaningful crackdown on the crimes they intend to commit. Business owners are mainly concerned as they have seen their storefronts robbed more frequently.
Last week, I was viciously attacked by the media for raising awareness about Boston Children’s Hospital offering gender-affirming hysterectomies for young girls. Left-wing activists called for me to be banned from social media for drawing attention to a practice Boston Children’s Hospital was publicly advertising. The attacks lasted for a week. They gaslit the public and denied that these types of procedures were being performed on children. According to the media, I was baselessly stoking anti-trans outrage and therefore deserved to be silenced.
Undeterred, I decided to focus on finding out if other children’s hospitals were engaged in these barbaric practices, too. That’s when I stumbled across Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Scrolling through their site, I came across a page which says the hospital treats young patients between the ages of 0 and 21 for gynecology care and gender-affirming medical treatments, including hysterectomies.
The US Space Force and the Australian Department of Defence have announced the initial operational capability of the Space Surveillance Telescope.
The achievement follows extensive tests and assessments since 2020 when the telescope was relocated from New Mexico to Australia.
When fully operational, the US and Australia will obtain improved space domain awareness by providing “ground-based, broad-area search, detection and tracking of faint objects in deep space.”
The Australian government is investing 500 million Australian dollars ($325 million) in next-generation weapons and equipment for the Australian Defence Forces.
Major General Andrew Bottrell said an agreement had been signed with Queensland-based firm NIOA for the service’s Lethality System Project Tranche 1.
As part of the deal, the firearms manufacturer will enlist the help of subcontractors to develop and supply new sniper rifles, shotguns, pistols, and other personal defense weapons.
The contract also includes munitions and ancillary equipment, including optical and laser systems for the small arms.
Daily life in Haiti began to spin out of control last month just hours after Prime Minister Ariel Henry said fuel subsidies would be eliminated, causing prices to double.
Gunshots rang out as protesters blocked roads with iron gates and mango trees. Then Haiti’s most powerful gang took a drastic step: It dug trenches to block access to the Caribbean country’s largest fuel terminal, vowing not to budge until Henry resigns and prices for fuel and basic goods go down.
The poorest country in the Western hemisphere is in the grips of an inflationary vise that is squeezing its citizenry and exacerbating protests that have brought society to the breaking point. Violence is raging and making parents afraid to send their kids to school; fuel and clean water are scarce; hospitals, banks and grocery stores are struggling to stay open.
The United States asked the U.N. Security Council to meet on North Korea on Wednesday after Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile over Japan, but diplomats said China and Russia are opposed to a public discussion by the 15-member body.
Nuclear-armed North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile farther than ever before on Tuesday, sending it soaring over Japan for the first time in five years and prompting a warning for residents there to take cover.
"We must limit the DPRK's ability to advance its unlawful ballistic missile and weapons of mass destruction programs," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, posted on Twitter, after calling for a public Security Council meeting.
Britain, France, Albania, Norway and Ireland joined the United States in making the request. North Korea is formally known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The Iran-backed Houthis launched attacks in a number of governorates in an attempt to secure battlefield gains, The New Arab's Arabic sister service, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, reported.
This includes attacks against government positions in the Taiz province in the southwest and the oil-rich Marib Governorate in Yemen's east.
Colonel Saleh Al-Qutaibi, deputy chief of the Yemeni army's media centre, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the Houthis had launched sporadic attacks on Sunday night on army positions in southern Marib.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday appealed for national unity and tried to allay anger against the country’s rulers, even as the anti-government protests that have engulfed the country for weeks continued to spread to universities and high schools.
Raisi acknowledged that the Islamic Republic had “weaknesses and shortcomings,” but repeated the official line that the unrest sparked last month by the death of a woman in the custody of the country’s morality police was nothing short of a plot by Iran’s enemies.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Tuesday said the Army is working on a proposal to create its own commercial airline, confirming reports from a leak of government documents last week.
"An analysis of its economic viability is being carried out," Lopez Obrador said at a regular news conference, noting that a decision had yet to be made.
"It's likely that this new airline will be (in operation) next year," he said.
The president confirmed last week that Mexico's military had suffered a major data hack, revealing sensitive information including communications regarding the president's health, customs security and infrastructure projects.
Teachers go behind parents’ backs to teach children about transgender ideologies. Now, a children’s hospital in Maine offers transition services for children. That’s right. Nine-year-olds show up in the clinic, claiming to be transgender.
According to The Post Millennial, “The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Maine promotes services for ‘transgender children,’ offering life-altering drugs such as puberty blockers and hormone treatments, as well as how-to guides on genital ‘tucking’ for boys and ‘chest binding’ methods for girls.”
The Democratic government attempts to hinge upon our freedoms, and now we see those same things in the Army. The Army mandates vaccines, and they’re not okay with soldiers not following that order.
Fox News reports, “The U.S. Army is subjecting unvaccinated soldiers to punishments. Punishments include eliminating off-base travel, putting a hold on promotions, and enforcing involuntary terminations from the service. Active-duty service members claim this is a coercive strategy to pressure them to abandon their deeply held religious beliefs.”
Haitian police have fired tear gas at thousands of people marching in the streets of the capital, Port-au-Prince, to protest against the government’s handling of crippling fuel shortages and soaring prices.
Footage on Monday showed a man being carried on a stretcher after suffering a leg injury. Police also fired guns into the air to disperse the crowds.
A derivative is a contract that derives its value and risk from a particular security (like a stock or commodity)—hence the name derivative. Derivatives are sometimes called secondary securities because they only exist as a result of primary securities like stocks, bonds, and commodities.
The four major types of derivative contracts are options, forwards, futures and swaps.
Banks use derivatives to hedge, to reduce the risks involved in the bank’s operations. For example, a bank’s financial profile might make it vulnerable to losses from changes in interest rates. The bank could purchase interest rate futures to protect itself.
Derivatives are a high-risk instrument. The volatile nature of derivatives can lead to huge losses. Moreover, the contracts are designed in such a way that it becomes very complicated for the investors to valuate them.
If anyone needed proof that the powers pushing the levers behind the mindless moron who sits in the Oval Office are fully on board with the World Economic Forum/United Nations agenda of biomedical tyranny and transhumanism, look no further than the executive order that Joe Biden signed on Monday, September 12.
By quietly getting Biden’s signature on this document, his handlers may have given us the most ominous sign yet that we stand on the threshold of a technocratic one-world beast system. Prepare to make your stand because it’s about to get much more intense.
This document’s Orwellian title, Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation for a Sustainable, Safe, and Secure American Bioeconomy, will assure that its significance will fly right over the heads of 99 percent of the media, even the conservative media.
They will read it and yawn. I plead with everyone reading this article to please not make that same mistake.
Google has been ordered by Moscow’s arbitration court to restore RT’s YouTube channels, which were blocked by the tech giant following the launch of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.
The decision was announced on Tuesday as the court found in favor of ANO TV-Novosti, RT’s founding company, against Google LLC, Google Ireland Limited and the Russian Google division. They have been ordered to restore access to some 27 blocked channels.
If they fail to do so, a court penalty of 100,000 rubles per day ($1,694) will be imposed on Google until access to all of the channels is restored. Every week, the amount of the daily penalty will double.
Google now has 30 days to appeal the court’s verdict.
The lawsuit against Google was filed back in May when the court, at RT’s request, took interim measures to “make sure it is possible to enforce the judicial act” against the company and seized all financial assets and movable and immovable property of the tech giant’s Russian division to the value of 500 million rubles ($8.4 million).
‘Russian roulette’ is a most peculiar expression. At least for any Russian. For the simple reason that he has never heard of it. In fact, it does not exist in Russian, neither the expression, nor the reality. It is something we learn about with astonishment when we learn English. The expression is an American invention and only an American with a death-wish could have thought up such a thing, in 1937, in fact (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_roulette). And so it is that only an American with a death-wish could have thought up the present situation. He has poked the bear so much and so often for over thirty years that the bear has had a lot of time to plan exactly what he would do. Now he is doing it. Why are you surprised? You loaded the gun and pointed it at your own head, now expect the bullet to come out.
Where We Came From
The Special Military Operation (SMO) in the Ukraine could have been over as early as April 2022, or at latest in August when most of the old Soviet weapons of the Kiev regime forces, augmented by supplies from ex-Warsaw Pact countries, had been destroyed. However, ignoring the Ukrainian people, since they are mere cannon fodder, the West intervened and escalated the conflict into a full-scale war by supplying its weaponry, technology and manpower at the bidding of the Westernised Ukrainian oligarchate. (Just as in February 1917, when the West created the ‘Russian Revolution’ at the bidding of the Westernised Russian oligarchate, also ignoring the people). Thus, the Ukraine has become merely the battleground for the real War, that between Russia and the USA.
The Russian response to Western escalation and aggression is partial mobilisation. The limited SMO will need more manpower to defeat the doomed NATO-supplied Nazis, whose numbers have been much increased by the arrival of NATO troops in Ukrainian uniform as well as by mercenaries. President Putin was accused by the Western ruling class through their State-controlled media mouthpieces of threatening them with nuclear attack. This was not the case. He had simply answered Truss, who had threatened Russia with nuclear attack, replying that any such aggression would be met by Russia with the same.
Tory MPs want Defence Secretary Ben Wallace to step in as an "emergency Prime Minister" to take them through to the next election if Liz Truss’ government collapses. Express.co.uk has been told that the popular minister is the favourite in a shortlist of three as the beleaguered Ms Truss fights to keep control of her party with MPs openly claiming she has "10 days to save her Premiership".
Kwasi Kwarteng appeared to blame the 'high pressure' of the Queen's funeral for his shambolic mini-budget.
The Government was plunged into crisis in the wake of his plan being announced in the Commons, as the pound plunged to historic lows and the Bank of England was eventually forced to intervene to calm the markets.
In an interview with GB News, the Chancellor said it was important to place the mini-budget in the 'context' of the Queen's death and funeral.
Valentina Matviyenko, the speaker of the Russian parliament’s upper chamber, the Federation Council, will visit Indonesia to attend the eighth conference of G20 parliament heads, the Federation Council’s press service has said.
"On October 5-7, a delegation of the Russian parliament led by Federation Council speaker Valentina Matviyenko will visit the Republic of Indonesia," the press service said. "Matviyenko will participate in the work of the eighth summit of G20 parliament speakers in Jakarta, deliver a speech during a session on food and energy security and environmental challenges and participate in a discussion devoted to social integration, gender equality and broadening of women’s rights and opportunities," the press service said.
She is scheduled to meet with senior Indonesian officials and lawmakers, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani and Speaker of the Regional Representative Council La Nyalla Mattalitti. She will also held a series of other bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event.
Moscow does not care whether Western countries recognize the four new Russian regions or not, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters on Tuesday.
"We do not care at all [about the West’s recognition]," Russia’s top diplomat said. "Of course, the entire world had better face this new reality, it was inevitable," Lavrov said.
Russia’s top diplomat said there were a huge number of legal arguments cementing the principle of equality and the right of peoples to self-determination, referring to the UN Charter. He also pointed to the UN General Assembly’s declaration which clearly obliged everybody to respect the territorial integrity of countries where governments acknowledge the right of an individual country to self-determination and represent the entire population.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has drawn attention to the fact that Ukraine, while voicing fears his country might join combat operations, has brought up to 15,000 troops to the Belarusian border.
"In other words, Ukraine has not just barricaded itself. It has built a wall. It constantly conducts optical, radio-electronic, and radio-technical reconnaissance of our territory, troops and facilities. Often their drones violate the state border. At the same time, they never stop worrying: ‘What if Belarus goes to war?’ There have been constant provocations on the border," Lukashenko said at a conference on military security on Tuesday. The BelTA news agency quotes him as saying that Ukraine has pulled "a force of up to 15,000 troops to the Belarusian border and is creating road blocks and fire emplacements."
Lukashenko stressed that in Belarus there was no need to declare mobilization, contrary to what the opposition was speculating about.
The line for promoting NATO's potential in the Asia-Pacific region (APR) using any tools is clearly taking shape, Nikolai Nozdrev, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Third Asian Department (3AD), said in an interview with Sputnik.
"If we look at the decisions of the June summit of the alliance in Madrid, concerning the globalization of the organization's 'zone of responsibility,' it becomes clear that the line for promoting its potential in the APR, using any tools, is already clearly taking shape," Nozdrev said.
He said the process is based on regional partners - Australia, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand, which are considered by Washington, London and Brussels as connecting elements of the global bloc architecture they are designing in line with Euro-Atlantic standards.
The Ukrainian army has been using US-made weapons outlawed under international conventions to shell the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic, the LPR militia’s spokesman Andrey Marochko told TASS on Tuesday.
Earlier on Tuesday he said that on Monday Ukrainian forces attacked the city of Starobelsk with a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system. The rocket was filled with shrapnel - tungsten balls.
"In the course of the investigation [conducted by the officers of the LPR mission at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination for issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes], it was found out that the Ukrainian forces used NATO’s shrapnel-filled ammunition," he said. "I want to stress right away that this type ammunition is prohibited by all conventions."
Marochko also drew attention to "another remarkable fact: the rocket that hit a childcare center in Starobelsk was made in 2017."
"This is a confirmation that in defiance of all conventions the Americans continue to produce and use ammunition that is prohibited by international law," he said.
Foreign politicians deliberately keep silent about the neo-Nazi atrocities and the extermination of the civilian population of Donbass, Russia’s Prosecutor-General Igor Krasnov said in Hanoi on Tuesday.
"Some foreign statesmen deliberately keep silent about the neo-Nazi rampage in Ukraine and the extermination of the civilian population of Donbass. Let me stress that it was these atrocities committed by the Kiev regime that left our country with no choice other than to conduct a special military operation to protect innocent civilians," he said.
Krasnov stressed that many foreign counterparts "groundlessly refuse to cooperate with the Russian side, including in the fight against crime."
"This is a dead-end approach. It is unconstructive and allows criminals to escape from punishment by hiding on the territories of other states," he said.
The accession of four new regions provide Russia with well-established defensive positions just as Ukraine and the US appear bent on escalating the conflict indefinitely while quashing all prospects for peace, former Pentagon adviser Karen Kwiatkowski told Sputnik.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday signed a decree on the impossibility of holding talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who had called for ceasefire negotiations after signing accession agreements with regional leaders last week.
Meanwhile, the US is arming Ukraine at a break-neck pace, with President Joe Biden going so far as to issue an executive order to the Pentagon on Monday that waives statutory requirements in order to expedite and expand weapons production and purchases.
