"The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it." -- John F. Kennedy
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly clashed with US President Joe Biden Tuesday night over his claims that Israel was losing world support due to his “conservative” government’s Gaza policies and its National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
“Since the start of the war, I have been leading a diplomatic campaign to block pressure designed to end the war prematurely, and to secure strong support for Israel,” Netanyahu said in a short video message he issued last night.
He pointed to concrete data to make his point, noting that the monthly Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll showed that 82% of Americans surveyed back Israel in its war against Hamas in Gaza.
New York during the inflationary surge of the late 70s and early 80s was a mythical place where one could purchase a Park avenue penthouse for $1 (while assuming the copious debt, of course). Now, thanks to the brutal bear hug of the highest interest rates in 40 years and the ongoing CRE crisis, those legendary days have made a comeback to the Big Apple, if only in the realm of commercial real estate for now.
According to Bloomberg, Canadian pension funds - which until recently had been among the world’s most prolific buyers of real estate, starting a revolution that inspired retirement plans around the globe to emulate them because, in the immortal words of Ben Bernanke, Canadian real estate prices never go down...
... are finally realizing that gravity does exist . And so, the largest one among them is taking steps to limit its exposure to the most-beleaguered commercial property type — office buildings
A corrupt Cook County judge has ordered the Illinois Board of Elections to remove Donald Trump from ballots statewide for the March 19 primary.
As ABC 7 News Chicago reports, Democrat Judge Tracie Porter stripped Trump from the Illinois ballot one month after the Illinois State Board of Elections dismissed the anti-Trump challenge in a unanimous and bipartisan vote.
Porter claimed Trump violated the 14th Amendment’s Insurrection Clause as her excuse for removing him from the ballot. We all know Trump did not commit insurrection or any other federal crime.
“The court also realizes the magnitude of this decision and its impact on the upcoming primary Illinois elections,” Porter wrote.
“The Illinois State Board of Election shall remove Donald J. Trump from the ballot for the General Primary Election on March 19, 2024, or cause any votes cast for him to be suppressed.”
It has been revealed that Laken Riley tried calling 911 before she was killed. Jose Antonio Ibarra is suspected in Riley's murder and is an illegal immigrant from Venezuela. Riley was killed while out for a walk at the University of Georgia campus in Athens.
Authorities have refused to release the audio from the 911 call despite numerous public records requests.
According to Fox News, officials from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department confirmed that Riley had, in fact, contacted law enforcement during the deadly encounter, but did not say when, if at all, more information will be released.
Ibarra was taken into custody shortly after the Augusta University nursing student's body was discovered near a lake on February 22.
There are new developments in the Pennsylvania government's legal crusade against Amish farmer Amos Miller, who has been under attack for years because he grows, produces and sells food to the public outside the government control matrix.
Attorney Robert Barnes of Barnes Law LLP shared an update on X explaining that, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, all food is "illegal" – just as illegal as "illegal drugs," by the way – unless it is manufactured in a government-approved facility of the kind managed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that EU nations have only managed to deliver 30 per cent of their pledged artillery shells, once again underscoring the hapless state of Europe’s military capabilities.
Mitch McConnell, 82, will step down as the Senate Republican leader in November.
McConnell is expected to announce on Wednesday.
“One of life’s most underappreciated talents is to know when it’s time to move on to life’s next chapter,” he said in prepared remarks obtained by The Associated Press. “So I stand before you today … to say that this will be my last term as Republican leader of the Senate.”
Dr. Tess Lawrie, co-founder of the World Council for Health (WCH), called on doctors to speak out about the harms caused by the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) injections and denounce these.
"Although doctors and other medical professionals may be expecting that their actions of the last four years in relation to the use of the dangerous COVID-19 [vaccine] will be defended by politicians, health [agencies] and regulatory agencies, they may be in for a shock," she said.
Lawrie added that doctors will be the scapegoats "for when the anger and distress of ordinary men and women can no longer be contained." Thus, she urged health professionals who now realize the harms caused by these injections to speak up now.
