Matthew Mahrer, 22, was recently arrested with Christopher Brown, 21, when the pair hatched a plan to attack members of New York's Jewish community before their scheme was foiled.

Stuart Rubenstein, Maher's grandfather a Holocaust survivor appeared shocked by the disturbing news of his grandson. He said he 'never figured he [his grandson] would get involved in something like this,' The Daily News reported.

A University of Washington Medical Center professor said there should be laws preventing children from getting tattoos - despite previously signing a declaration that kids should receive sex-change treatments if they want them.

Dr. Cora Breuner, a professor and pediatrician at Seattle Children's Hospital, was commenting on a case involving Crystal Thomas, a New York woman who was arrested after allowing her 10-year-old son to get a tattoo.

Though tattoos are illegal in New York for people under 18, other states do not ban them if parents give consent.

It only took them 769 days.

CBS News said Monday that it confirmed the authenticity of data from Hunter Biden’s former laptop — more than two years after The Post first revealed its contents — as the first son’s lawyer complained he didn’t “consent” to the release.

The laptop links President Biden to his son Hunter and brother Jim Biden’s foreign influence-peddling, but high-ranking former spy agency officials claimed before the 2020 election it was likely Russian disinformation and the story was censored by Twitter and Facebook.

Most news outlets ignored the laptop’s contents until recently. CBS’s report follows belated verification of the laptop in March by the Washington Post and New York Times.

CBS correspondent Catherine Herridge reported that she received a copy of Hunter Biden’s hard drive from former Delaware computer repairman John Paul Mac Isaac, and that Minnesota computer scientists led by former Secret Service computer crimes expert Mark Lanterman said the files appeared legitimate.

Iran has started enriching uranium to the purity level of 60% at its Fordow nuclear facility, following the recent resolution that the US and the European troika initiated at the UN nuclear agency’s Board of Governors to mount pressure on the Islamic Republic.

Tehran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of its decision via a letter. It described the move as a strong message to the recent anti-Iran resolution passed by the IAEA’s Board of Governors.

Iran also installed two new IR2M and IR4 cascades at the Natanz and Fordow facilities, which have now reached the stage prior to the injection of uranium gas into centrifuges. This means that Iran has practically imitated uranium enrichment by means of the new cascades, and the process will finish within the next few days.

Bill Gates and Stephen Richer giving an election update

Arizona ballots that couldn’t be counted due to broken machines were mingled in some locations with already tabulated ballots, according to the Elections Integrity Unit of Arizona’s attorney general’s office. State officials listed numerous ways Maricopa County, Arizona, election officials failed to properly segregate, count, tabulate, tally, and transport ballots during the midterm 2022 elections, which likely resulted in significant disenfranchisement of Election Day voters.

In a letter sent to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office by Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright, the Elections Integrity Unit of Arizona’s attorney general’s office notified the county that they had “received hundreds of complaints since Election Day pertaining to issues related to the administration of the 2022 General Election” and as a result, are demanding Maricopa County election officials provide answers for the chaos, confusion, and mismanagement of the voting process in a report to be submitted on or before Nov. 28, when Maricopa must send its official canvass to the secretary of state for certification.

The complications raised in the letter include issues with the configuration settings of ballot-on-demand printers at 60-plus voting locations in the county, “which appeared to have resulted in ballots that were unable to be read by on-site ballot tabulator.” In sworn statements provided to the attorney general’s office, numerous Maricopa election workers claimed that the printers in question experienced no problems when tested the day before the election on Nov. 7.

Kari Lake clapping standing outside at campaign event

Even though the Arizona governor’s race has been called in favor of Katie Hobbs, Hobbs’ opponent Kari Lake has not conceded and vote counting and vote correcting are still happening.

As has been reported (in mainly conservative media), many voters were turned away on Election Day because of broken printers or given provisional ballots that wouldn’t be counted. Furthermore, many ballots were not counted because of a non-matching signature or some mistake in filling out the ballot. This means voters are being contacted about their ballot being rejected and given a chance to correct or “cure” it. The window for doing this just ended on Nov. 17.

Considering how laughably convoluted this process is, along with its many vulnerabilities to fraud and error, it’s more than understandable to see why Lake, someone projected to win big and who faced a meek candidate who refused to debate her or even do much campaigning, refuses to give up. The glacially slow counting, the numerous malfunctioning printers and ballot machines, and the recent history of gross irregularities from the previous election all give ample reason for suspicion. There’s also the added wrinkle of Hobbs refusing to recuse herself from the role of supervising the election — somehow this didn’t constitute a conflict of interest.

High-fashion brand Balenciaga is facing backlash for an ad campaign that features photos of child models holding teddy bears dressed in bondage gear; the brand also used an image of a Supreme Court opinion in a child pornography case as a prop promoting a handbag.

The photographer for the ad campaign, Gabriele Galimberti, said the images were part of a project series called "Toy Stories," according to his Instagram page. The images, which now appear to be mostly scrubbed from the global brand’s website, sparked outrage from conservative activists.

Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America, a conservative women’s rights group, called the images "exploitive propaganda."

In 2010, the Hubble Space Telescope captured several images of the Abell 370 galaxy cluster. In itself, that's hardly a groundbreaking feat. But a team of astronomers systematically reviewing archival Hubble images discovered something incredible in those images: an image of an infant supernova that exploded some 11.5 billion years ago, taken just hours after the star's death.

The team, led by postdoctoral researcher Wenlei Chen of the University of Minnesota, was looking for gravitationally lensed, transient events, and that's exactly what the supernova is. It's hidden behind Abell 370, but because light bends around the galaxy cluster due to its gravitational force — an effect known as gravitational lensing — we can actually see it from our vantage point, albeit in a warped manner.

Twitter boss Elon Musk has lifted another ban on Project Veritas, a right-leaning investigative journalism organization.

Last year, Twitter restricted the organization after allegedly posting a video showing Facebook Vice President Guy Rosen appearing to admit that the social media giant constructed a platform that was designed to freeze commenting when so-called hate speech or violence was detected by algorithms, but without actually confirming the speech was violent or hateful.

Project Veritas’ reinstatement was noted by Alex Lorusso, who is the executive producer of “The Benny Report” on Newsmax TV, who himself was recently reinstated to Twitter.

If you've been diagnosed "probable" or "presumed" 2009 H1N1 or "swine flu" in recent months, you may be surprised to know this: odds are you didn't have H1N1 flu.

In fact, you probably didn't have flu at all. That's according to state-by-state test results obtained in a three-month-long CBS News investigation.

The ramifications of this finding are important. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Britain's National Health Service, once you have H1N1 flu, you're immune from future outbreaks of the same virus. Those who think they've had H1N1 flu -- but haven't -- might mistakenly presume they're immune. As a result, they might skip taking a vaccine that could help them, and expose themselves to others with H1N1 flu under the mistaken belief they won't catch it. Parents might not keep sick children home from school, mistakenly believing they've already had H1N1 flu.

Why the uncertainty about who has and who hasn't had H1N1 flu?

The fact is that this model of a private central bank creating money out of thin air to loan to the people and governments was the very economic system this nation fought a revolution to be free of. While our schools teach us of tea parties and stamp acts, they rarely mention the Currency Act any more, even though it was the primary reason for the revolution.

The American colonies issued their own currency, which existed in ample supply to ensure full employment and prosperity for all. But when Ben Franklin described this economic paradise while ambassador to London, the Bank of England panicked! England was even then in the grip of monumental poverty for the masses brought on by the predations of the bankers, and the Bank of England feared that if word of an alterative system reached the people, riots would be the result. So, the Bank of England lobbied King George III to pass the Currency act which ordered the colonists only to use banknotes borrowed at interest from the Bank of England. It took only a few years for this Currency act to reduce the American colonies to the same level of poverty and starvation as their English brethren.

"[It was] the poverty caused by the bad influence of the English bankers on the Parliament which has caused in the colonies hatred of the English and . . . the Revolutionary War." -- Benjamin Franklin

Stanford University professor of medicine says “academic freedom is dead” after his life became a “living hell” for challenging coronavirus lockdown orders and the “scientific clerisy” during the pandemic.

“The basic premise is that if you don’t have protection and academic freedom in the hard cases, when a faculty member has an idea that’s unpopular among some of the other faculty – powerful faculty, or even the administration … If they don’t protect it in that case, then you don’t have academic freedom at all,” Dr. Jay Bhattacharya told Fox News Digital in a phone interview.

Bhattacharya is a tenured professor of medicine at Stanford University and also an economist who serves as director of Stanford’s Center for Demography and Economics of Health and Aging.
