This country has been having a nationwide nervous breakdown since 9/11. A nation of people suddenly broke, the market economy goes to shit, and they’re threatened on every side by an unknown, sinister enemy. But I don't think fear is a very effective way of dealing with things—of responding to reality. Fear is just another word for ignorance.”

Nuclear fusion has produced more energy than ever before in an experiment, bringing the world a step closer to the dream of limitless, clean power.

The new world record has been set at the UK-based JET laboratory.

Nuclear fusion is the process that powers stars. Scientists believe it could produce vast amounts of energy without heating up our atmosphere.

European scientists working at the site said "we have achieved things we've never done before".

The result came from the lab's final experiment after more than 40 years of fusion research.

Andrew Bowie, UK Minister for Nuclear, called it a "fitting swansong".

The sun produced a major X3.4-class solar flare today, Feb. 9th (1314 UT). Surprisingly, it did not come from the big "Martian sunspot," described below. Instead the source was located just behind the sun's southwestern limb. That means the partially eclipsed flare was even bigger than its nominal X3.4 rating. Earth just dodged a bullet. Stay tuned for updates. CME impact alerts: SMS Text

So it turns out the dementia symptoms Biden’s supporters have long dismissed as a “stutter” are actually exactly what they look like.

The special counsel assigned to investigate Joe Biden for mishandling classified documents reports that investigators “uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” but concludes that “no criminal charges are warranted in this matter.”

Which normally would be cause for a sigh of relief by this administration and its supporters, except that among the reasons given for this conclusion is that the president has gone senile.

“We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” Special Counsel Robert Hur writes to Attorney General Merrick Garland, saying that “Mr. Biden’s memory was significantly limited, both during his recorded interviews with the ghostwriter in 2017, and in his interview with our office in 2023. And his cooperation with our investigation… will likely convince some jurors that he made an innocent mistake, rather than acting willfully — that is, with intent to break the law — as the statute requires.”

Bill C-372 seeks penalties up to $1,000,000 and two years in prison for promoting fossil fuels as anything less than an existential threat to humanity.

Just when you thought Canada couldn’t get any more Stalinist, an MP from the country’s far-left NDP party is calling for any speech that “promotes fossil fuels” – even truthful statements like comparing the relative emissions of natural gas to coal – to be banned and criminalized.

“The hostage negotiations? Look,” Biden said, before opting to criticize America’s Israeli allies instead of answering what he’s doing to help bring hostages home. “I’m of the view that the conduct of the response in Gaza, in the Gaza Strip, has been over the top,” he muttered.

“I think that uh, as you know, initially the president of Mexico, El-Sisi, did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian material to get in,” the president continued. “I talked to him. I convinced him to open the gate. I talked to Bibi to open the gate on the Israeli side. I’ve been pushing really hard, really hard to get humanitarian assistance into Gaza.”

A conservative legal group identified grave markers for various deceased Michigan residents still listed on the state’s voter rolls, video footage provided to The Federalist shows.

Published by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), the mini-documentary shines a light on the inclusion of long-deceased Michigan residents as active voters on the state’s voter registration lists. As shown in the video, some of these individuals have remained on the lists despite dying decades prior.

One of these former residents is a woman named Mamie Jones, whose voter file listed a birth year of 1823 — 14 years before Michigan became a state. According to the records reviewed by PILF, Jones was registered to vote as recently as 2008.

Results from a recent poll by Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey revealed that 59% of voters polled think that President Joe Biden is losing mental sharpness, and 61% suspect the media are trying to cover up the president’s cognitive decline.

An excerpt from Rasmussen’s summary reads: “Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters believe it’s likely that the news media are helping cover up evidence of President Biden’s declining mental sharpness, including 45% who consider such a cover-up Very Likely. Thirty-six percent (36%) don’t think it’s likely the media are trying to hide evidence of Biden’s mental decline, including 20% who say it’s Not At All Likely.”

According to Rasmussen’s data, more men (61%) than women (57%) see Biden as becoming less mentally sharp, but men are significantly more likely to think the media are hiding evidence of Biden’s decline.

It’s difficult for any news stories about aviation in the U.S. to surprise us these days, with air travel falling apart at the seams thanks to diversity pushes, poor training, vaccine mandates, woke cross-dressing CEOs and other issues. However, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) supplying black students with code words so their resumes get pushed to the front of the line in hiring is one shocking story that has recently resurfaced as part of the broader conversation about the dire state of American aviation.

As incredulous as it seems, the FAA provided secret code words to students who were part of the Black Caucus of Federal Aviation Employees. When placed in their resume, they essentially served as a flag that could push them to the front of line for job consideration, quite possibly at the expense of candidates who could be considerably more qualified for the role.

According to reports, one of the signals they used to fast-track resumes was the answer to a question in the job application about the subject in high school in which candidates received their lowest grades. Answering this question with the word “science” apparently was enough to earn greater consideration.

EXCLUSIVE: Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney is calling for the Cabinet to "explore" the use of the Constitution’s 25th Amendment to remove President Biden from office, following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s "alarming" report.

Hur did not recommend criminal charges against the president for mishandling classified documents. Those records included classified documents about military and foreign policy in Afghanistan, among other records related to national security and foreign policy which Hur said implicated "sensitive intelligence sources and methods."

Hur, though, described Biden as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory." Hur, throughout the more than 300-page report, said "it would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him" of a serious felony "that requires a mental state of willfulness," and said he would be "well into his eighties."

Fox News Digital obtained a letter Tenney, R-N.Y., sent to Attorney General Garland Thursday night, sharing her "grave concerns" following the report.

The top 0.1% will weather a recession just fine, but that will offer cold comfort to the other 130 million American households.

It seems at least some households are realizing they need to rein in spending. This reality is obscured by statistics which distort the financial security of average households. As always, we have to separate the top 10% who collect 40% of the income and own about 90% of the financial assets from the bottom 90%, as the top 10% distort the risks faced by the bottom 90%.

The former Fox News talk show host-turned independent media phenomenon, Tucker Carlson, is in Moscow, where he has committed the mortal sin of interviewing Russian President Vladimir Putin. The interview is scheduled to air at 6 pm eastern time on Thursday, February 8. Let there be no doubt—Tucker Carlson has pulled off one of the most memorable journalistic accomplishments in modern history, and when the interview does air, it will—literally and figuratively—break the internet.

As someone who has travelled to Russia twice in the past year to engage in “people’s diplomacy” designed to advocate for better US-Russian relations, I applaud Tucker Carlson’s decision to go to Moscow and get this interview. The American people have been infected with a virulent case of Russophobia transmitted to them via a political and economic elite who have built a model of American relevance predicated on the need for an enemy capable of sustaining a military industrial and congressional complex by justifying an expansive budget that leaves America weaker and shareholders wealthier.

Joe Biden has called out the cavalry to ride to the rescue of illegal aliens breaking into the country.

You read that right.

Joe Biden is listening to his far-left base and has nationalized a National Guard contingent to "support the federal government’s U.S.-Mexico border control efforts," which is to say Biden's opening up of the Southern Border to the illegal invasion.

The left has been urging President Biden to federalize National Guard troops to reopen Texas's border where illegal immigrants have been overrunning the state. It appears Biden has begun the process of doing that by ordering the Alaska National Guard to get ready to deploy to the border in support of the federal government, not the security of the border.

O’Keefe Media Group infiltrated one of the covert illegal immigrant compounds called CASA ALITAS in Tucson. Catholic Community Services of Tucson funds this secret operation and enriches groups like “Las Palmas.” O’Keefe disguised himself as a homeless drunk vagrant, and Mexican illegals wore hidden cameras to gain entrance inside.

Police confirmed on tape that refugees are “lying about sponsors.”

Casa Alitas migrants are brought to the Ramada Inn, where breakfast, lunch, hygienic services, and free wifi are offered, O’Keefe wrote.

One migrant said he’s excited to come to the country to make many American babies.

Several US and British reconnaissance aircraft are patrolling the skies near the Russian borders today. The main part of the reconnaissance work is traditionally carried out off the coast of Crimea, while the routes and composition of the group are somewhat unusual.

A Boeing P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft is operating over the Black Sea off the Romanian coast. To the south, closer to the Turkish coast, the sniffer RC-135W Rivet Joint circled throughout the day. The flight's route was somewhat different from usual, and it was accompanied by two Eurofighter Typhoon fighters.

Apparently, for greater safety, NATO military aircraft actually operated under the cover of civilian airliner routes. The Airbus A330 MRTT tanker aircraft ensured that the aircraft remained in the air for a long time. What is unusual is the absence of reconnaissance UAVs such as RQ-4 Global Hawk or MQ-9 Reaper over the Black Sea waters.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 cellular targets involved in liver damage (center and right). Various factors have been postulated to contribute to liver injury in the context of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including direct cytotoxic effects, vascular changes, immunological and inflammatory responses associated with COVID-19, immune responses triggered by COVID-19 vaccination, and drug-induced liver injury. In the context of liver injury associated with COVID-19, the histological patterns encompass features such as steatosis (both macrovascular and microvascular), lobular necroinflammation, portal inflammation, and vascular pathology.

The Senate overwhelmingly voted Thursday to start work on a $95 billion spending bill that would provide aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan — one day after it formally killed off a larger bill that included $20 billion in border security spending.

The 67-32 vote included “yeas” from 17 Republicans while Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) was the only “nay” from the Democratic conference.

A final vote on the legislation is not expected until next week as senators begin the lengthy process of negotiating which amendments will be voted on as part of the final package.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called Thursday’s vote “a good first step.”
