COMING UP SHORT THIS MONTH.
Thought for the day
"Space science, like nuclear science and all technology, has no conscience of its own. Whether it will become a force for good or ill depends on man. And only if the United-States occupies a position of preeminence can we help decide whether this new ocean will be a sea of peace or a new terrifying theatre of war. I do not say that we should or will go unprotected against the hostile misuse of space, any more than we go unprotected against the hostile use of land or sea. We set sail on this new sea because there is new knowledge to be gained, and new rights to be won, ***and they must be won and used for the progress of all people." -- John F. Kennedy, speech at Rice University, 12 September 1962
In 2014, Joe Biden was the Vice-President of the Obama government and John Kerry was the Secretary of State. They worked in the same direction when it come to Russia, but Biden was the driving force when it came to bringing about a coup d´etat in Ukraine.
That's why he willingly stood up when thing started to tighten on Maidan Square in Kyiv. He was running around there with Victoria Nuland and John McCain handing out candy and bread to the right-wing extremists who were responsible for the violence. These had for many years been brought up and brainwashed mainly by the care of the United States. Famous Nazis from the Hitler era were seen as role models.
Victoria Nuland, the USA's representative for Europe, said in connection with the Ukraine coup that since 1991 Washington had spent USD 5 billion in Ukraine on ”democracy-promoting measures.” In fact, the funds were used to support subversive activities through so-called ”front groups” that worked with Nazi leader Stephan Bandera from the Hitler era. You can not say that you are working for democracy while carrying out a coup.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the UK’s offer to assist Denmark in the investigation into sabotage at the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines resembled "foxes fighting for chickens’ rights."
"The UK offered Denmark its help in investigating sabotage at Nord Streams, the office of [UK] Prime Minister [Liz Truss] reported. Foxes are fighting for chickens’ rights," the diplomat wrote on her Telegram channel on Saturday.
Four Nord Stream gas pipeline leaks have been uncovered, with the most recent one being pinpointed by Sweden’s coast guard.
Earlier, the Nord Stream AG company reported that three threads of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 offshore gas pipelines had suffered unprecedented damage on Monday. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow was "deeply concerned about the news" and did not rule out that the pipelines’ operation could have been disrupted by an act of sabotage. Swedish seismologists later reported that two explosions had been recorded along the Nord Stream pipelines on Monday.
The US authorities are committed to NATO's ‘open door’ policy, but say that the decision on its expansion should be made by all countries of the bloc, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Saturday, commenting on Kiev's bid to join NATO on an expedited basis.
"We are committed to supporting NATO's 'open door' policy, but how that proceeds (admission of new members to the alliance - TASS) is really an issue that's worked out by between the 30 [NATO] countries who vote <…> on this. <…>. That work will have to be done in the future," he said at a joint press conference with his Australian counterpart Richard Marles in Hawaii. The press conference was broadcast live on the Pentagon's website.
"But right now, most we're focused on doing everything we can to make sure that Ukraine has what it needs to be successful. And we're seeing some some really good effects being created by the Ukrainian forces," Austin stressed.
After more than 8 year of the conflict, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics as well as Kherson and Zaporozhie regions have finally become an official part of Russia. The official ceremony of signing agreements on joining of these regions to Russia took place on September 30. However, this historical event took place amid the crisis in the area of the town of Krasnyi Lyman in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Krasnyi Lyman was liberated by Russian forces in May 2022. In late September-early October, this town as well as the nearby areas remain the main point of attacks of Kyiv’s forces. The NATO-backed regime moved forward its best forces in a series fierce attempts to capture this area before September 30 and as of now achieved particular tactical successes using the lack of the Russian manpower in the region. The recently launched partial mobilization in Russia sill needs time to give real effect and the Russian group of forces involved in operations against the Kiev regime remains very limited. (Reminder: before 2014 and 2022 events, Ukraine was the second largest country in Europe after Russia).
As of the morning of October 1, the heroism of Russian units deployed in Krasnyi Lyman allowed to keep control over the town. An important role was also played by work of Russian artillery and aviation.

Ruling out sabotage, the Swedish military has successfully cleared a remote operated vehicle (drone) rigged with explosives found near Line 2 of the Nord Stream Natural Gas offshore pipeline system.
The vehicle was discovered during a routine survey operation as part of the annual integrity assessment of the Nord Stream pipeline. Since it was within the Swedish Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) approximately 120 km away from the island of Gotland, the Swedes called on their armed forces to remove and ultimately disarm the object.
“We don't consider it to be dangerous to merchant vessels or the pipeline at this point,” Jesper Stolpe, Swedish Armed Forces spokesman, told Radio Sweden. According to Stolpe, the cable used to control the drone and to set off the explosive was cut off, so at the moment the vehicle is relatively harmless.
The national identity of the drone has not been verified so far, as many countries use Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) of a similar construction, Stolpe said
Germany's former chancellor Angela Merkel warned that taking Vladimir Putin's words seriously is "a sign of political wisdom" not weakness.
Merkel, who left office two months before the Ukraine war began, was speaking about an answer she had given in June about Putin's character.
"I replied that one should take his words seriously," said Merkel, while speaking at the inauguration of the Helmut Kohl Foundation.
"And today, in view of the developments of the last few days, I would like to add: taking words seriously, not dismissing them out of hand as just a bluff, but dealing with them seriously is by no means a sign of weakness or appeasement, but a sign of political wisdom."

On October 1, several attack helicopter of the US-led coalition conducted a patrol over positions of Iranian-backed forces in the northeastern Syrian government of Deir Ezzor.
The AH-64 Apaches flew right over a crossing on the Euphrates River linking the eastern bank, which is held by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces, with the town of al-Mayadin on the government-held western bank. US-led coalition helicopters don’t usually conduct patrols in this area.
Every psychopath is well practiced at lying; anyone who tolerates that person’s lying is not only encouraging psychopathy but is, oneself, psychopathically unconcerned about the public’s welfare, because any such encouragement will, itself, facilitate the further spreading of lies and deception of the public. This is how psychopathy, which is a merely personal disease, becomes spread and pandemic, thereby producing a dysfunctional society, widespread deception. It happens not only due to the presence of psychopaths, but also due to their passive assisters, who fail to call-out the lie and the liar and to expose them publicly so as to assist in penalizing them, instead of to assist the lies and liars, for those to spread and thrive.
Being a member of a society is to have both rights and obligations within it. Silence in the face of lies that one knows are false is a failure of such an obligation: an obligation to avoid willingly spreading a social disease — the disease of spreading those lies and that falsehood, to a rampantly and ever-increasingly contaminated public.
Following the Nordstream extravaganza, German/Austrian social media has become, let’s say, a little bit anti American.
German and Austrian netizens openly accuse the US Navy, which days ago was in the Baltic Sea, of having carried out the attacks against Nordstream 1/Nordstream 2.
Some even go further from this point and accuse the current Social-Democratic Government of Germany of being “Vassals of America”, which is an understatement.
Stacy Abrams, the Democrat candidate for governor in Georgia, just got smacked down by a federal court.
On Friday a federal judge ruled that Georgia’s voter integrity laws that require voter identification and citizenship checks are constitutional and do not inordinately effect minorities, Just The News reported.
The judge in the case, U.S. District Judge Steve C. Jones, who was appointed to the bench by former President Obama, explained his decision in his ruling, noting that federal courts are “not the arbiter” of state elections, which handed a major victory to Gov. Brian Kemp who fought the lawsuit.
When Russian President Vladimir Putin granted citizenship to NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden on Monday, the news revived a long-simmering debate about the propriety of his revelations of U.S. government secrets. At the same time, it prompted reiterations of a widely-embraced falsehood: that Snowden “fled to Russia.”
The disinformation-trafficking wasn’t limited to random people on social media. Among others, The New York Times, The Guardian, ABC, Christian Science Monitor and Canada’s CBC all asserted in the past week that Snowden “fled to Russia” in 2013 after revealing that the United States government had created a mass surveillance regime targeting its own citizens, in violation of the U.S. Constitution’s Fourth Amendment.
What many people don’t realize — and what some people both inside the government and out of it purposefully ignore — is that Snowden wasn’t traveling to Russia, but merely through it.
When he left Hong Kong after meeting with journalists Glenn Greenwald and Laura Poitras and turning over hundreds of thousands of stolen files, Snowden’s ultimate destination was Quito, Ecuador.
It’s important to note that Snowden says that, before leaving, he destroyed his cryptographic keys that provided him access to the files, and didn’t bring any copies of the files with him.
At the time, the Ecuadoran government was providing political asylum to Wikileaks publisher Julian Assange at the country’s London consulate, and Snowden hoped Ecuador would provide him asylum as well.
Gun Owners of America has obtained an email from the FBI regarding changes to the NICS background check system to implement gun control.
On Monday, September 26, 2022, federal firearms licensees (FFL) will experience… new features of the FBI's NICS transaction process. One… change is tied to the passage of the NICS Denial Notification Act of 2022.
Collection of Buyer's Address— The NICS Denial Notification Act of 2022 requires the FBI's NICS Section to notify state, local, or tribal law enforcement of all FBI NICS denied transactions within 24 hours. The FBI must provide notification to law enforcement based upon the location of the FFL and if different, the purchaser's address. To support the determination of what local agency should receive the notification, FFLs will be required to provide the buyer's complete address to NICS as recorded on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Form 4473 when transactions are denied or delayed. The address information will be required before the status can be provided or retrieved either by the NICS contracted call center or via the NICS E-Check.
Navy Petty Officer Second Class Kristin Fregeau is being discharged from the Navy for attempted desertion, but her attorney contends that this is a cover for separating the officer because she had a religious objection to the vaccine mandate.
“The Navy couldn’t separate [Fregeau] for vaccine refusal, so they drummed up a story about attempted desertion,” Sean Timmons, Freugeau’s attorney, told The Epoch Times.
EV adoption has grown rapidly in recent years, but many prospective buyers still have doubts about electric car ranges.
In fact, as Visual Capitalist's Govind Bhutada details below, 33% of new car buyers chose range anxiety - the concern about how far an EV can drive on a full charge - as their top inhibitor to purchasing electric cars in a survey conducted by EY.
So, how far can the average electric car go on one charge, and how does that compare with the typical range of gas-powered cars?
Ever since I wrote the substack article on human augmentation and the UK Ministry of Defence and the German Military Complex , discussing that these two organizations advocate for human augmentation in a report entitled “Human Augmentation – The Dawn of a New Paradigm“, I have been wondering if the US government, that is to say the US Department of Defense (DoD) and the Administrative State which controls it, has developed similar plans.
This week I did a little research starting with the key words – “human augmentation” and “DoD” and there “it” is. The “it” being the strategy playbook and battlefield field plan for creating human cyborgs…
For those who lust for more stimulation and shaping after reading the following, this substack also relates to our June 16 substack entitled “ARPA-H, Intelligence Community within NIH”.
To begin – there are various “hints” from various governmental agencies that human augmentation research is underway and has been ongoing for a number of years.
At some point in late 2022, the eight billionth human being will enter the world, ushering in a new milestone for humanity.
In just 48 years, the world population has doubled in size, jumping from four to eight billion.
Of course, as Visual Capitalist's Nick Routley and Avery Koop detail below, humans are not equally spread throughout the planet, and countries take all shapes and sizes. The visualizations in this article aim to build context on how the eight billion people are distributed around the world.

Now, here’s a look at each country’s population as of September 2022:
The Nord Stream Pipelines attack may end up being an environmental disaster to equal the Fukushima disaster, with the release of millions of cubic metres of methane-gas into the environment, from the attack and in an attempt to save the pipelines.
It has been reported that the Russians are having to maintain gas-flow through the Russian end of the pipelines to prevent seawater entering and starting a process that, once started, never ends – rusting. Rust never sleeps once it has started.
So, unless they have a tool for removing and killing the rust, they have two options:
- Keep pumping gas through the pipelines and thus damage the marine life and the environment with massive amounts of released methane.
- Abandon the pipelines as being scrap, after costing billions to build, and laying new ones, that evil lunatics could also destroy.
Webmaster addition: This is closer to the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico than to Fukushima!
Attorney General Merrick Garland has received a flurry of stern letters, including notice of an investigation, from Republican members of Congress in the days since the FBI’s Sept. 23 raid on the Pennsylvania home of pro-life activist Mark Houck.
“Not only did your office turn a local dispute into a national case, but the FBI reportedly executed the search warrant in as extreme a manner as one can imagine,” a Sept. 26 letter, sent individually by Sen. Josh Hawley said.
“The FBI admitted in a statement that as many as 20 agents were present with their guns drawn.”
I normally feel great sympathy for any person battling the terrible disease of dementia. However, in the case of President Biden, who the whole world knows is battling this affliction, the sentiment I feel is closer to disgust.
The reason my normal empathy is lacking is that President Biden himself must know he has this condition … and he won’t acknowledge this and do what’s best for the country and resign.
Not only does Present Biden know this so too does his wife and children. So too does every person who works in the White House. Indeed, it now must be a 24-hour operation for White House aides to write the teleprompter scripts and stage directions they must produce for President Biden.
The best (dark) comedy bit proving my conjecture occurred when White House aides dressed up a volunteer as the Easter Bunny and said Easter Bunny performed his assigned task of keeping our president away from reporters and Easter egg hunters.
What motivated me to write this column is the cringe-inducing moment that happened yesterday when President Biden (going off script) asked if a deceased Congress person was in the room.
Stacey Abrams, the current and former Democratic candidate for Georgia governor, has tossed out a lawsuit challenging Georgia's election system following her 2018 loss to Republican Gov. Brian Kemp.
The lawsuit - filed nearly four years ago by Abrams' PAC, Fair Fight Georgia, sought to change how the state conducts elections. Earlier this year, the judge narrowed the scope of the lawsuit by dismissing many of its original claims.
Abrams claimed there was "misconduct, fraud or irregularities" in the voting process - a cardinal sin if you're a conservative who similarly questions election integrity. She took legal action to stop counties from throwing out rejected provisional and absentee ballots when updated vote totals made clear that Kemp was the likely winner.
"Although Georgia’s election system is not perfect, the challenged practices violate neither the constitution nor the [Voting Rights Amendment]," said U.S. District Judge Steven Jones in his ruling.
The failed candidate and MSM pundit has repeatedly said that her refusal to concede to Kemp is different from election fraud claims by former President Trump, because she "never denied that I lost."
China has opened dozens of "overseas police service stations" around the globe to monitor its citizens living abroad, including one location in New York City and three in Toronto.
"These operations eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation and violate the international rule of law, and may violate the territorial integrity in third countries involved in setting up a parallel policing mechanism using illegal methods," reads a report by Safeguard Defenders, a human rights watchdog, released earlier this month.
The report, titled "110 Overseas: Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild," details China's extensive efforts to combat "fraud" by its citizens living overseas, in part by opening several police stations on five continents that have assisted Chinese authorities in "carrying out policing operations on foreign soil."
Webmaster addition: The FBI maintains overseas offices, quite possibly to keep an eye on US citizens abroad!
A federal watchdog has found that $45.6 billion may have been scammed out of the nation's unemployment program during the pandemic, as fraudsters used a variety of methods to commit fraud - including using the Social Security numbers of dead people, hard-to-trace emails, and the identities of prisoners who were ineligible for aid.
According to the Washington Post, a Thursday report by the inspector general for the Labor Department reveals that the program - which helped some 57 million families in the first five months of the crisis - became an easy target for criminals.
To siphon away funds, scammers allegedly filed billions of dollars in unemployment claims in multiple states simultaneously and relied on suspicious, hard-to-trace emails. In some cases, they used more than 205,000 Social Security numbers that belonged to dead people. Other suspected criminals obtained benefits using the identities of prisoners who were ineligible for aid.
But officials at the watchdog office warned their accounting still may be incomplete: They said they were not able to access more updated federal prisoner data from the Justice Department, and acknowledged that they only focused their report on “high risk” areas for fraud. The two factors raised the prospect that they could uncover billions of dollars in additional theft in the months to come. -WaPo
As Russia scrambles to prepare new draftees for its Ukrainian war, the governments of NATO's Baltic states worry about the growing masses of Russian troops in training sites near their borders.
Just before Vladimir Putin issued his Sept. 21 “partial mobilization” order, a senior defense official from a Baltic nation expressed concern that many thousands of unskilled troops fed on the Kremlin’s anti-NATO rhetoric would increase the chance of accidents, rogue attacks, or other dangerous events.
If the training "is coupled with the narrative of warmongering and increased threats, it's going to be a problem, especially for us because the training areas in the Western military district are close to our borders,” said the official, who asked for anonymity. “Imagine hundreds of thousands training 70 kilometers from a NATO border with the narrative that NATO needs to be destroyed."
That’s one reason why Lithuanian defense minister Arvydas Anusauskas announced on Wednesday that his country would raise its military readiness.
The Israeli MOH had no adverse events reporting system for the entire year of 2021. They commissioned a research team to analyze the reports from a new system implemented on December 2021. A leaked video reveals that in June, the researchers presented serious findings to the MOH, that indicated long-term effects, including some not listed by Pfizer, and a causal relationship – so the Ministry published a manipulative report, and told the public that no new signal was found
“Here we will have to really think medical-legal. Why medical-legal? Because for quite a few adverse events we said: ‘OK, it exists, and there is a report, but still get vaccinated’. I mean, we have to think about how to write it and how to present it correctly. So this will not yield lawsuits later: ‘Wait, wait, wait, you said everything will pass and you can get vaccinated. And now look what happened to me. The phenomenon continues'”.
Since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Washington has shown that it is willing to do anything to move global society against Moscow, even if it means violating international law. According to a recent report, the US government plans to take measures against Russia within the UN framework to respond to the integration of the liberated regions into the territory of the Federation. Considering that Russia would veto any measure of this kind in the UNSC, it is possible to say that once again the US is planning a kind of “coup” at the UN.
A report recently published by Politico says the US government has a plan to impose measures against Russia globally, adopting a resolution at the Security Council to condemn Moscow for the referendums in the liberated oblasts. In fact, such a resolution has already been proposed by American diplomats, promoting sanctions not only against Moscow but also against all countries that recognize the referendums as legitimate and the liberated zones as part of Russian territory.
However, the proposition of resolutions is a mere bureaucratic practice, subject to control by countries with veto power. The West has tried several times to sanction Russia in the Security Council and was prevented precisely because Moscow has the right of veto, due to its permanent seat. But apparently the US would be seeking to pass the resolution independently of the bureaucratic procedure of the Council, trying to prevent Russia from vetoing the measure.
Members of Congress in both parties are experiencing a surge in threats and confrontations as a rise in violent political speech has increasingly crossed over into the realm of in-person intimidation and physical altercation. In the months since the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, which brought lawmakers and the vice president within feet of rioters threatening their lives, Republicans and Democrats have faced stalking, armed visits to their homes, vandalism and assaults.
Webmaster addition: Are we supposed to feel sorry for them?!? There is only so much tyranny, hardship, and corruption (not to mention war) that people can take!
In a press release, Biden expressed his gratitude to Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Zach Loesch: 'I told him how proud of him I was and thanked him for all the work he and his Coasties are doing to save lives,' the statement read.
As of September 2022, there are 2,632 unvaccinated members of the US Coast Guard.
