Friday is Day 2 of Fani’s Follies – And it looks to be lit!

On Day 1 we learned that Fani likes her some Grey Goose Vodka, that she paid her beau in cash during their lavish trips, and that she likely lied about the start of her relationship with Nathan Wade.  We also learned that Fani’s father told her she always keeps cash in the house.

Fani told the court:

“When you meet my father, he’s going to tell you as a woman, you should always have — which I don’t have, so don’t tell him that — should have at least six months in cash at all time,” Willis explained about the large sums of cash she would need lying around to not hit the ATM to repay Wade. “I don’t know why this old Black man feels like that, but he does.”

Fani added that she keeps between $500 and $15,000 in her house and never reimbursed Wade more than a few thousand.

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Ireland announced 20 million euros ($21.46 million) in support for the U.N. Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) on Thursday and urged countries that have suspended funding to resume and expand support to the agency.

UNRWA, which provides healthcare, education and other services, has been pitched into crisis since Israel alleged that 12 of its 13,000 staff in Gaza were involved in the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attack on Israel that precipitated the Israel-Hamas war.

The allegations prompted a number of countries to suspend funding, including the United States, its largest donor. Dublin contributed 18 million euros directly to UNRWA in 2023, part of 36 million euros provided to the Palestinian people.

Claire's Observations:  Good on the land of my (legally US processed) Irish ancestors!!

RAFAH, Gaza Strip (Reuters) - Medical workers held strips of plastic around the upper arms of small children in a Rafah tent, measuring the circumferences of their arms for signs of wasting flesh as a hunger crisis hits Gaza after months of Israel's military campaign there.

One small girl of two and a half years had tiny arms, the skin already starting to hang loose after her weight plummeted from 11kg before the conflict to just 7kg now, said her mother Hana Tabash.

Initial data from measurements taken around Gaza shows 5% of under fives in the tiny, crowded Palestinian enclave are now acutely malnourished, the U.N. humanitarian office OCHA said last week.

Claire's Observations:  Take a good hard look at this child; now, imagine that this was YOUR child.  And remember:  In Israel and the US, children are measured for growth; NOT MALNUTRITION!!

A five-time deported illegal alien is now accused of killing a 10-year-old boy walking home from school in Midland, Texas, in a hit-and-run crash.

Rogelio Ortiz-Olivas, a 50-year-old five-time deported illegal alien from Mexico, has been arrested and charged with drunk driving and causing a fatal hit-and-run crash that ultimately killed 10-year-old Alex “AJ” Wise, Jr.

Midland is less than four hours from the U.S.-Mexico border.

According to the Midland Police Department, on Feb. 8, Ortiz-Olivas was driving a truck when he hit Wise, who was walking home from school. Immediately, police said, Ortiz-Olivas fled the scene, leaving Wise in critical condition.

Wise was airlifted to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas, but died from his injuries the following morning. Wise was a student at IDEA Travis and his family described him as “the sweetest, coolest, funniest little boy you ever would meet” in a GoFundMe post.

Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, joined Steve Bannon on The War Room following the Fani Willis spectacle today broadcast on live TV from Fulton County.

It must have been a very long day for the Trump-hating fake news media.

Mike Davis told Steve Bannon that what he witnessed today was “the worst testimony I think I’ve ever seen.”

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Kuwait’s emir on Thursday dissolved parliament after a lawmaker reportedly insulted the ruler, the latest dissolution to strike the oil-rich nation’s legislature amid years of political gridlock.

The state-run KUNA news agency announced the decree from the country’s ruling emir, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber. It blamed “offensive and uncontrolled” utterances by lawmakers for the decision, without elaborating.

On Wednesday, the Cabinet reportedly refused to attend parliament after lawmakers refused to delete remarks by one of their colleagues that purportedly insulted Sheikh Meshal. Kuwaiti law prohibits any criticism of the emir.

Domestic political disputes have been gripping Kuwait for years — including the overhaul of Kuwait’s welfare system — which prevented the sheikhdom from taking on debt. That’s left it with little in its coffers to pay bloated public sector salaries, despite generating immense wealth from its oil reserves.

Parliament has been repeatedly dissolved after failing to move forward, with Kuwait’s Constitutional Court in 2023 annulling a 2022 decree overturning another such annulment. The country’s late emir then annulled that parliament again and held an election for a new parliament, which now has been annulled with Thursday’s decision.

Kuwait, a nation home to some 4.2 million people that’s slightly smaller than the U.S. state of New Jersey, has the world’s sixth-largest known oil reserves.

Barghouti has remained influential among Palestinian politics and has been suggested as a potential successor to current president 88-year-old Mahmoud Abbas [Getty]]

Palestinian leader and high profile prisoner Marwan Barghouti has been transferred to solitary confinement by Israel on Wednesday over fears he is coordinating an uprising in the occupied West Bank.

Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated Barghouti was moved from Ofer prison to solitary confinement following information about a planned uprising.

This is not the first instance of Israel rushing to transfer Fatah leader Barghouti amid soaring tensions in the occupied West Bank following near daily raids and arrests by Israeli forces in towns and cities.

Early Thursday, the Israeli military stormed Tulkarm, Beitunia, Shu'fat refugee camp, and Nablus. On Wednesday, Israeli forces in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, shot and killed a young man and injured ten others with live bullets and tear gas, as reported by The New Arab’s sister paper, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed

In recent weeks, Barghouti has returned to the fore amid speculation that the popular and enigmatic leader could be one of the prisoners released under the ongoing Hamas-Israel truce talks.

Claire's Observations: Putting Barghouti in solitary confinement, makes it much easier to mask a successful assassination as an urgent "medical crisis, gone mammary glands vertical ", should they choose to do this.

But I would like to politely suggest to the Middle East's Assassination Nation,. that the murder of Barghouti, is going to exacerbate the situation, not only with Hamas and Hezbollah, but with every Muslim Middle East nation surrounding them, and THEN some.

And one question which SHOULD be keeping the Israeli military  and civilian leadership awake at night is this; What happens when Russia and China make a decision to enter the fray in behalf of the Palestinians and Iranians?!?

Radical Illinois State Rep. Anne Stava-Murray (D-Naperville) has proposed House Bill 4876 to amend current legislation, the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act, to say an “abused child” is one whose parents deny abortion services, or “gender-affirming services.”

The definition of an abused child under the proposed bill is “a child whose parent or immediate family member, or any person responsible for the child’s welfare, or any individual residing in the same home as the child, or a paramour of the child’s parent denies the child access to necessary medical care, including, but not limited to, primary care services, abortion services, or gender-affirming services.”

Major energy companies awarded licences by Israel to explore for gas off Gaza's coast have been warned that they could face legal action for possible breaches of Palestinian maritime sovereignty and war pillaging.

Israel's Ministry of Energy granted exploration rights to three companies - Italian energy giant Eni, UK-based Dana Energy and Israel's Ratio Petroleum - three weeks after the war on Gaza began in October.

Lawyers working on behalf of three Palestinian NGOs - Al Haq, the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights and Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights - notified the companies in letters this month that they would use "all legal mechanisms to the fullest extent" if they proceeded and called on them to desist from any activities relating to the licences.

The organisations contend that over half of the zone for which the companies were awarded licences lies within Palestine's maritime boundaries.

Those boundaries were declared in 2015 when the Palestinians acceded to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the international agreement providing the legal framework for all marine and maritime activities.

Claire's Observations: Corporations hate fines and penalties; but I have to wonder, if this case is found against them, what legal entities will actually enforce the verdict financially?!?

On Thursday afternoon, Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney leading the high-profile case against Donald Trump and his associates, lost her composure and screamed in the courtroom. The outburst was a dramatic response to accusations made against her, forcing the judge to halt the proceedings momentarily.

The hearing, which has been under the national spotlight due to its significant implications for the 2024 presidential election, took a contentious turn as defense attorneys pointed to a potential conflict of interest.

The controversy centers on a previously undisclosed romantic relationship between Willis and Nathan Wade, a key prosecutor working on the case. The situation reached a boiling point when Willis, evidently frustrated by the line of questioning, raised her voice to denounce the allegations as false.

China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, on 13 February, gave a formal condemnation of the Israeli attacks against Palestinian civilians in Rafah and called on Tel Aviv to halt its military operations.

“China is closely watching the developments in Rafah,” the spokesperson read. “We oppose and condemn acts against civilians and international law. We call on Israel to stop military operations as soon as possible, do everything possible to avoid casualties among innocent civilians, and prevent a more devastating humanitarian disaster in Rafah.”

Israel is planning to carry out a ground operation in Rafah where over 1 million Palestinians have been internally displaced, with thousands seeking shelter in public squares and make-shift tents.

On Monday, Israel launched a series of over 40 airstrikes on Rafah that killed over 100 people and injured hundreds more. The onslaught, carried out by the Israeli air force, navy, and other artillery, inflicted devastation on displaced Palestinians in the region.

Claire's Observations:  It will be interesting to see what China actually is willing to do, other than the pro-forma "virtue signaling"  to get the Assassination Nation to stop its genocide in Gaza.

As reported from a Google search this morning, "Overview In December 2023, China exported $840M and imported $694M from Israel, resulting in a positive trade balance of $146M. Between December 2022 and December 2023 the exports of China have decreased by $-480M (-36.4%) from $1.32B to $840M, while imports increased by $142M (25.8%) from $551M to $694M."

One has to wonder, looking at these figures, what China is really prepared to do, to get Israel to stop the genocide in Gaza; , after looking at these numbers,  I would almost be willing to bet,  absolutely nothing.

Former President Trump says the charges against him in Fulton County, Georgia, "have to be dropped," telling Fox News Digital that the case is a "scam" while District Attorney Fani Willis testified publicly about an allegedly "improper" affair she had with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.

Willis took the stand in Georgia on Thursday to defend her relationship with Wade, whom she hired in 2021 to help prosecute the former president in a sweeping racketeering case related to the 2020 election.

Trump co-defendant Michael Roman alleged in court filings last month that Willis should be disqualified from the case, claiming that she financially benefited from hiring Wade because of their personal relationship.

Both Willis and Wade confirmed their relationship under oath in court Thursday, but testified that the romantic involvement began in early 2022 after Wade's contract in the Trump case began.
