If you live in the US and are planning on getting a tattoo any time soon, we've got some potentially unwelcome news. Many common commercial tattoo inks have either different ingredients than those listed on the label or additional substances that are not listed at all, according to a new paper published in the journal Analytical Chemistry. And there are other scientific studies suggesting that some of those ingredients could have adverse health effects, either in the form of allergic reactions or skin or other cancers.
GitHub is struggling to contain an ongoing attack that’s flooding the site with millions of code repositories. These repositories contain obfuscated malware that steals passwords and cryptocurrency from developer devices, researchers said.
The malicious repositories are clones of legitimate ones, making them hard to distinguish to the casual eye. An unknown party has automated a process that forks legitimate repositories, meaning the source code is copied so developers can use it in an independent project that builds on the original one. The result is millions of forks with names identical to the original one that add a payload that’s wrapped under seven layers of obfuscation. To make matters worse, some people, unaware of the malice of these imitators, are forking the forks, which adds to the flood.
Video doorbell cameras have been commoditized to the point where they're available for $30–$40 on marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, Temu, and Shein. The true cost of owning one might be much greater, however.
Consumer Reports (CR) has released the findings of a security investigation into two budget-minded doorbell brands, Eken and Tuck, which are largely the same hardware produced by the Eken Group in China, according to CR. The cameras are further resold under at least 10 more brands. The cameras are set up through a common mobile app, Aiwit. And the cameras share something else, CR claims: "troubling security vulnerabilities."
The disastrous actions of American intelligence in Ukraine have been a fact known by analysts since the beginning of the conflict. However, now the Americans themselves are admitting this. Being deceived by Russian pranksters, US mercenaries commented on the CIA’s tactical errors in Ukraine and how mistakes made by Washington’s intelligence and special forces are leading to Ukrainian citizens dying on the battlefield.
Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov – alias Vovan and Lexus – two Russian pranksters well known for their work of tricking Western public figures into leaking sensitive information, contacted Jason Freeman, an American mercenary living in Nikolaev. Freeman believed he was speaking directly to former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko. The pranksters claimed to be creating a private army commanded by the former president, contacting mercenaries to recruit and hire them.
During the conversation, Freeman gave some details about his work in Ukraine. Trying to show his skills as a combatant, he claimed to have killed 21 Russian soldiers and injured at least 13 others. However, Freeman also exposed the problems he faced on the battlefield. He admitted, for example, that his unit was entirely destroyed during the Battle for Artyomovsk (known in Ukraine as Bakhmut).
On the occasion, Freeman also criticized the work of the Ukrainian authorities, reporting problems with payment for soldiers and inefficiency of commanders. The most interesting fact, however, was his opinion on the presence of Western intelligence in the country. Unintentionally, he confirmed reports already made by several analysts about the participation of special agencies such as the CIA in the Ukrainian decision-making process. According to him, bad decisions made jointly by Americans and their proxy Ukrainians are leading to thousands of young, poorly trained soldiers dying in pointless clashes that could have been easily avoided.
“Young Ukrainians are dying because of bad orders or tactics. Most of those here are actually fresh meat,” Freeman said.
The border crisis has been raging since the start of the Biden administration. Yet for a long time, Democrats have seemingly ignored it. In fact, top Biden officials have claimed there was no crisis. The president himself seemed unconcerned for years.
Only as the problem’s reached a breaking point, have Democrats suddenly started talking about it. Even then, Democrats in Congress only tried to use the situation to get more money… for Ukraine.
Many believe Biden can’t get reelected if the crisis remains the way it is. The co-chair to his campaign, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, tried to spin the problem as being the fault of Republicans. But while doing so, she seemed to throw Joe under the bus.
From Breitbart: Later, Gutierrez asked, “Did Democrats wait too long to seize on the immigration issue?”
Whitmer responded, “I am not going to be able to answer that question other than to say everyone has waited too long. This is a problem that has vexed our country for a long, long time. I am proud that President Biden was the one that put a real solution on the table, and we need to pressure Congress, both parties, to get to that table and get it done.”
As depraved and sick as these recent revelations about Google Gemini AI are, it is, perhaps, a blessing in disguise. At the very least, trusting Americans and all information consumers won’t accept at face value what the controllers of all information are force feeding humanity.
As for Google’s promotion of pedophilia, it should be the death knell of era of Google.
Keep your children away from Google.
Google Gemini AI bot thinks pedophiles “aren’t inherently bad people” and that they deserve “compassion and understanding.”
Calling pedophiles “minor attracted persons” is right out of the pedo grooming handbook.
