Five major news outlets, including the New York Times, have called on the Biden administration to drop charges against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Obtaining and publishing “sensitive information,” they wrote, “is a core part of the daily work of journalists.”
The New York Times, The Guardian, Le Monde, Der Spiegel, and El Pais all published details from diplomatic cables obtained by WikiLeaks in 2010. These documents revealed that the US spied on its allies, undercounted civilian casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan, and waged a secret war in Yemen.
Assange has been detained in the UK since 2019, and is currently held in a maximum-security prison awaiting extradition to the US, where he is facing charges of espionage related to the publication of these cables, as well as a trove of documents alleging US war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) says that he wants President Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024. "He not only beat Trump once, I think he can beat him again," Newsom said, according to Politico. "I hope he runs, I'll enthusiastically support him." But even if Biden does not run, the Democratic governor indicated that he will not pursue the presidency during the 2024 election cycle. "The answer is no," the governor said.
The World Health Organization is suggesting use of the term "mpox" rather than "monkeypox," citing "racist and stigmatizing language" as the rationale for recommending the language shift.
"Following a series of consultations with global experts, WHO will begin using a new preferred term 'mpox' as a synonym for monkeypox.
A recent report by CriticalRace.org found that 58 of the top 100 medical schools in the United States force mandatory student training or assignments related to critical race theory, Fox News Digital reported.
That is fiscal authority the President just does not have.
Biden's plan went unchallenged for weeks, presumably because no one had the standing to sue.
The plan must adversely impact someone who claims to have been injured. Taxpayers do not count.
Three Standing Requirements
First, there must be a concrete injury in fact that is not conjectural or hypothetical.
Second, there must be causation, a fairly traceable connection between a plaintiff’s injury and the conduct of the defendant.
Third, there must be redressability, a likelihood that the requested relief will redress the alleged injury.
The struggle to find standing hinged on finding someone who was monetarily damaged by Biden's free money handout other than taxpayers.
Enter Myra Brown and Alexander Taylor who both have student loans. They claim to have been harmed because they were ineligible to obtain the full benefit of debt forgiveness under the Program flows due to the program’s eligibility requirements.
Miguel Almaguer, the NBC News reporter whose reporting on last month’s Paul Pelosi hammer attack incident offered curious details which challenged the mainstream narrative at the time, has not been seen on air or tweeted since the media giant expunged his report and suspended him over unspecified “inaccurate information” in his report.
Almaguer, 45, reported on air on November 4 that Mr. Pelosi calmly opened the door to police officers responding to the 911 emergency call he placed after 2 am on October 28, but that he did not “declare an emergency” or try to leave the domicile, instead walking several feet into the foyer of his home toward the suspect, 42-year-old David DePape, who was armed with a hammer.
The report sparked questions about what 82-year-old Pelosi and DePape were doing before police showed up.
Almaguer’s reporting, which NBC has attempted to scrub from the internet, also challenged claims made by media that the attack was an act of “right-wing political violence” by an enraged Trump supporter “enflamed by right-wing conspiracy theories” and anti-Pelosi sentiment ahead of the November 8 midterm elections.
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a huge particle accelerator located on the French-Swiss border, is going into hibernation early this year due to European energy-saving efforts. The operator says it will still have plenty of data for analysis despite the disruption.
Monday marks the deadline set by the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, which operates the massive machine, to pause experiments for the winter season, RIA Novosti has reported. The decision was confirmed earlier this month.
CERN draws some 200 MW of electrical power from the French grid during peak consumption in the summer, roughly a third of what the entire city of Geneva needs. But during winter, when experiments at the LHC are put on hold, the figure drops to about 80 MW. In a year, the scientific organization consumes 1.3 TWh of electricity.
Earlier this month, the Biden administration ordered members of the US Federal Air Marshals Service (FAMS), a federal law enforcement agency that provides security for commercial airliner flights, redeployed to the US-Mexico border.
Sonia Labosco, the executive director of the Air Marshal National Council, a legal support group for air marshals, told Fox News on Monday the council is "calling on the president and DHS Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas, to please stop this deployment of air marshals from the aircraft and reallocating them to the border.”
Labosco told Fox the council wrote to US President Joe Biden over the weekend “because we had a level four and a level three incident. Level four means that they tried to breach the cockpit. Level three, we had two of those, which means there were life-threatening behaviors on one of those aircraft. An individual had a straight razor to a passenger's throat. So these are very serious incidents."
Webmaster addition: Small nitpick here; just how did someone get a straight razor past TSA?
What would happen if a “private” education or health care facility denied service to someone who not only didn’t take precautions against contracting HIV, but was actually HIV-positive? Could a medical center deny a procedure to such an individual? Could a day care center deny entry to such a kid? Not a chance, because like it or not, we have systemic anti-discrimination laws in place.
On Truth Social Monday, Trump said that there was a massive number of broken voting machines in Republican districts on Election Day. He added that GOP gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake had to cast her vote in a Democrat area, where he pointed out that the machines were working perfectly.
This comes amid reports of problems with voting machines throughout the state, as well as issues with tabulators and printers.
On Monday, Maricopa County certified the 2022 general election results in favorite of Democrat candidate Katie Hobbs. Republican nominee Kari Lake has yet to concede in the gubernatorial race.
Trump said the voting issues were almost as bad as the ones that occurred during the 2020 presidential election. The 45th president has called for Lake to be installed as governor.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), a top gun-control advocate, dismissed on Sunday the possibility that lawmakers will pass new gun-control legislation before Republicans take control of the House in January.
I doubt there is another era in the history of Western Civ when the forces in-motion acting on society were so mystifying to those acted upon. And isn’t it especially galling that this is so in an age after rational scientific practice had decoded so many of nature’s secrets? Did that project somehow fail in the end? Has the Enlightenment been defeated? How have we become trapped like frogs being boiled haplessly in our own pond-water?
I have reduced these forces to four obvious streams of the sheerest seemingly evil fuckery, which is to say nefariously managed events meant to harm us. They are surely all related in some way. Let’s try to de-mystify them to understand what we’re up against.
First: Covid-19. How is it that we don’t know for sure how this organism came into the world, or understand what ensued after it did? Answer: the people who caused it to happen in the Wuhan lab have been busy covering their asses for three years, and successfully so. Yet we know exactly what Anthony Fauci, Francis Collins, Peter Daszak, Ralph Baric and others did. The paper trail in correspondence and patents alone is clear. We just can’t seem to do anything about it.
We don’t know why they did it yet, too, but there are plausible guesses. Maybe Dr. Fauci wanted to cap his long, checkered career with a final heroic triumph: the introduction of world-saving mRNA vaccines — incidentally, a great financial boon to himself and the pharma industry he secretly served. Like everything else Fauci worked on for forty years, this experiment ended in disaster: a Frankenstein disease that persists in the population and vaccines that maim and kill people. How did Fauci and company get away with it? Here’s how:
The United States has no higher priority than the safety, health, and well-being of American citizens overseas. We are actively working with and assisting our citizens experiencing challenges related to the recent rise of COVID-19 infections in China. The People’s Republic of China (PRC) authorities have expanded COVID-19 prevention restrictions and control measures as outbreaks occur. These measures may include residential quarantines, mass testing, closures, transportation disruptions, lockdowns, and possible family separation. Ambassador Burns and other Mission officials have regularly raised our concerns on many of these issues directly with senior PRC officials and will continue to do so.
We encourage all U.S. citizens to keep a 14-day supply of medications, bottled water, and food for yourself and any members of your household.
Earlier in the year, the Supreme Court overruled blue states’ attempts to violate Americans’ rights. It struck down a law in New York that made concealed carry essentially impossible. So, the radical liberal government of the state quickly passed a new set of rules, making it even harder for a New Yorker to defend himself.
One of the major changes was the declaration that nearly every place in New York was a “sensitive place” and would essentially become a “gun free” zone. Even private property was off-limits, putting law-abiding citizens at risk. This was quickly taken to federal court and a judge just dropped his gavel on liberty-hating NY.
The decision and order found the ban on carrying on private property, without the express consent of the property owner, was unconstitutional…
“Property owners indeed have the right to exclude. But the state may not unilaterally exercise that right and, thereby, interfere with the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens who seek to carry for self-defense outside of their own homes.”
The stockings were all hung by the chimney with care, as you can see — nine of them in total.
“Hunter and ex-wife Kathleen Buhle’s three daughters Naomi, Finnegan and Maisy were represented — along with Naomi’s new husband Peter Neal as well as Natalie and Hunter, the two children of the late Beau Biden and his widow Hallie,” the New York Post reported.
“Still another stocking bore the name ‘Baby,’ an apparent reference to Hunter’s two-year-old son Beau with second wife Melissa Cohen, while the last two were set aside for first dog Commander and first cat Willow.”
Not included? Navy Jones Roberts, the 4-year-old granddaughter of the president and daughter of Hunter Biden.
Navy was born in 2018 to Lunden Roberts, a former adult entertainer at one of Hunter’s favorite Washington strip joints. Hunter vigorously denied paternity until a DNA test proved he was the biological father.
Webmaster addition: It is not the fault of little Navy that the circumstances of her birth violate "tradition." Why punish the granddaughter (at the same time they are protecting Hunter)? Merry Christmas Navy Jones Roberts!
In yet another example of Big Tech tyranny, YouTube nuked a viral “Full Send Podcast” episode featuring controversial “manosphere” figure Andrew Tate last week. The video, which was posted in August, had been viewed by millions and was one of the “Full Send Podcast’s” most popular videos.
“Our team has reviewed your content, and, unfortunately, we think it violates our hate speech policy,” said an email from YouTube in a screenshot posted by “Full Send Podcast” host Kyle Forgeard. “Content glorifying or inciting violence against another person or group of people is not allowed on YouTube,” continued the email.
It remains unclear exactly how Tate was “glorifying or inciting” violence. Google did not respond to The Federalist’s request for comment by publication time.
What we do know is that Tate wields incredible sway with young people. If you don’t know who Andrew Tate is, your kids and grandkids likely do, and before YouTube deleted the podcast, Tate’s two-hour-long discussion was viewed by millions of Tate’s predominantly Gen Z fans. So who is Andrew Tate, what was in this forbidden podcast, and why should you care?
Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) recently got in touch with his inner mobster and threatened Elon Musk — the new owner of Twitter and the CEO of electric car company Tesla and space ventures company SpaceX. He told Musk, “Fix your companies” or “Congress will.” As part of this threat, Markey referred to an ongoing National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigation into Tesla’s autopilot driving system and Twitter’s 2011 consent decree with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Markey has done more than make threats: He is one of a group of Democratic senators who wrote to the FTC urging an investigation into whether Musk’s actions as the new owner of Twitter violated the consent decree or consumer protection laws. Since FTC Chair Lina Khan wants to investigate as many businesses as possible, it is likely she will respond favorably to the senators’ letter.
President Biden has also endorsed an investigation into the role foreign investors played in financing Musk’s Twitter purchase. Biden may be concerned that Musk is not likely to ban tweets regarding Hunter Biden’s business deals.
Concerns that Musk would allow tweets containing information embarrassing (or worse) to the Biden administration point to the real reason many Democratic politicians and progressive writers and activists are attacking Musk. They support efforts to suppress conservative, libertarian, and other “non-woke” speech on social media. They view the prospect of a major platform refusing to silence those who dissent from the woke mob or the Democratic Party establishment as a threat to their power. Musk further angered the left by committing what, to many Democrats (and Liz Cheney), is the ultimate hate crime — allowing Donald Trump back on Twitter.
Neither Deutsche Welle nor the German government reveals who it is who gets to determine the unchallengeable war crimes.
Germany gave in to the Jewish lobbies and long ago criminalized “Holocaust denial.” I have wondered why. If the Holocaust is true, it can stand on the facts and remain undamaged by unsupported denials. What the criminalization of inquiry and debate does is to prevent us from knowing the true dimension and history of the Holocaust. My understanding from reading is that Austria, some other European countries and Canada do not permit any examination of the Holocaust. We are simply told that it is true, but it can’t be examined, and that is the end of it.
The Germans have suffered substantially from declared and unexamined “truths.” In World War I Germany was accused of its soldiers bayoneting Belgian babies. (In the 21st century a version of this falsehood was repeated against Iraqi troops in Kuwait.) The propaganda created enormous hatred for Germany. These decades later after the normalization of mothers bayoneting their own babies, it might not have the same effect. But what if it had been legislated a criminal act to investigate whether German soldiers murdered Belgian babies? The propaganda would rule.
