CNN CEO Christ Licht is cleaning house. Much like Twitter owner Elon Musk, he knows a corporation centered around woke ideology is one that cannot hope to turn a sizable profit. If CNN wants a place at the table, they have to offer something unique to the viewing public.
Thus far, they have offered sizable servings of bias and conspiracy theory — especially as it pertains to Donald Trump. With Trump out of office, CNN can only spout the same woke talking points every other news network already does. Truly, viewers get woke politics from MSNBC and virtually every other major news network.
A center-right or even perhaps a center-left CNN could perform very well. After all, almost no networks have pulled off a legitimately centrist approach to news broadcasting.
Even as a new poll finds a whopping majority of likely voters believe Election Day problems in Maricopa County likely swayed the outcome of the Senate election in Arizona, a federal judge imposed rare sanctions against attorneys representing GOP gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake in her legal challenge to the county's administration of the 2022 election.
A recent Rasmussen Reports poll found that 71% of likely U.S. voters "believe it's Likely — including 40% who say it's Very Likely — that problems with the election in Maricopa County affected the outcome of the Senate election in Arizona." Among Republicans, 52% said "very likely," and 27% said "somewhat likely." Meanwhile, 23% of Democrats said "very likely," while 42% said "somewhat likely."
Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for all records of communications between the Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency (CISA), a division of DHS, and the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), which was created to flag online election content for censorship and suppression(Judicial Watch Inc. vs. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 1:22-cv-03560 )).
Judicial Watch filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after DHS failed to respond to its October 5, 2022, FOIA request for:
1. All records of communication between the CISA and the EIP. This includes all “tickets” or notifications to the Partnership regarding election-related disinformation on any social media platform.
2. All records regarding the July 9, 2020, meeting between DHS officials and representatives of the EIP.
3. All records of communication between the CISA and the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public and/or Stanford University’s Internet Observatory regarding any of the following:
In a greatly anticipated Friday night drop of what has was expected to be a cache of information involving the censoring of Hunter Biden's notebook story days ahead of the 2020 presidential election, moments ago Elon Musk - who worked in collaboration with the notoriously independent gonzo journalist Matt Taibbi of "Vampire Squid" fame - has published the "Twitter Files."
Shortly before their release, Matt Taibbi sent the following email to his substack subscribers:
Dear TK Readers:
Very shortly, I’m going to begin posting a long thread of information on Twitter, at my account, @mtaibbi. This material is likely to get a lot of attention. I will absolutely understand if subscribers are angry that it is not appearing here on Substack first. I’d be angry, too.
The last 96 hours have been among the most chaotic of my life, involving multiple trips back and forth across the country, with a debate in Canada in between. There’s a long story I hope to be able to tell soon, but can’t, not quite yet anyway. What I can say is that in exchange for the opportunity to cover a unique and explosive story, I had to agree to certain conditions.
Those of you who’ve been here for years know how seriously I take my obligation to this site’s subscribers. On this one occasion, I’m going to have to simply ask you to trust me. As it happens, there may be a few more big surprises coming, and those will be here on Substack. And there will be room here to to discuss this, too, in time. In any case, thanks for your support and your patience, and please hold me to a promise to make all this up to you, and then some.
Moments later Elon confirmed that he did, in fact, work with Taibbi:
"Today it's with great regret that I let you know about our decision to close the SFO flight attendant base," American Airlines executive Brady Byrnes said in the September memo obtained by Insider.
In closing its San Francisco base, citing economic factors and shifting customer demand, American presented 400 flight attendants with a choice that many said felt impossible to make: leave the airline or leave the state.
The base is home to some of the carrier's most senior flight attendants, two-thirds of whom have been at the airline for 13 years or more, according to the union representing American Airlines flight attendants. By January 31, they must select an airport from a list of the airline's hubs outside of California to work out of. For those who can't or won't, the only options are to retire early (if eligible) or resign, the union told Insider.
Elon Musk has suggested Twitter was acting on the orders of the federal government when it allegedly censored stories surrounding the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop in the buildup to the 2020 election.
Musk made the declaration Friday online in a barrage of tweets he tauntingly titled the 'Twitter Files,' which saw the CEO take aim at his new company for supposed collusion with the Biden campaign by leaking old company emails.
The leaked correspondence contained damning insider communications that predate Musk’s ownership, which provided insight to the dissent and confusion seen within the company as it responded to reporting on the scandal in October 2020.
The Guardian has joined The New York Times, Le Monde, Der Spiegel and El País in signing a letter from the five papers which collaborated with WikiLeaks twelve years ago in the publication of the Chelsea Manning leaks to call for the Biden administration to drop all charges against Julian Assange. This sudden jolt of mainstream support comes as news breaks that Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been personally pushing the US government to bring the Assange case to a close.
The Guardian’s participation in this letter is particularly noteworthy, given the leading role that publication has played in manufacturing public support for his persecution in the first place.
If The Guardian really wants to help end the persecution of the heroic WikiLeaks founder, the best way to do that would be to retract those many smears, spin jobs and outright lies, and to formally apologize for publishing them.
This is after all the same Guardian which published the transparently ridiculous and completely invalidated 2018 report that Trump lackey Paul Manafort had met secretly with Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy, not once but multiple times.
The Russian military has already detailed the president’s son’s implication in a massive, clandestine biological weapons and pharmaceutical research program in Ukraine’s biological laboratories involving US government agencies, big pharma, the Ukrainian military and a number of Western ‘charitable’ and ‘health-related’ foundations.
‘The main focus of the research projects involving Pentagon military contractor Black & Veatch and Metabiota, the Hunter Biden investment fund-linked biotech company, were concentrated around quarantine infections that could damage nations’ agricultural sectors, Igor Kirillov, the chief of Russia’s Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops has indicated.
“Take note of the report for the US military by Black & Veatch and Metabiota. In accordance with this document, ‘veterinary projects’ with the code ‘TAP’ were implemented simultaneously with the ‘UP’ series projects in Ukraine. Their main focus was economically significant quarantine infections, capable of causing damage to the agriculture of individual nations and entire regions, such as galanders, African and classical swine fever, highly infectious pathogenic avian influence, and Newcastle Disease,” Kirillov said in a briefing Thursday in Moscow.
The Pentagon appeared particularly interested in African swine fever, according to the Russian MoD’s analysis, with the pathogen studied under two separate projects.
s the blood of terrorized children a form of currency in Hollywood? According to Mel Gibson, star of Brave Heart and Lethal Weapon, Hollywood is just institutionalized pedophilia, where the elites break “every God-given taboo known to man, including the sanctity of children.” Apparently, it’s an open secret in Hollywood that the ultra-rich, yet still power-hungry elites, have religious ceremonies where they terrorize children to the edge of death, then drink their adrenochrome-loaded blood.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommended prohibiting the operators of Southwestern Alaska’s Pebble Mine from disposing of waste material in the nearby Bristol Bay, a regulation that would prevent the mine from opening. However, the mine could generate billions in revenue by producing minerals that are crucial in supporting the Biden administration’s “clean energy transition.”
TikTok accounts operating as voices of Chinese state media promoted messages that appeared to denigrate Republican candidates and favor Democratic ones ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, according to a Forbes investigation.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) issued a subpoena probing Twitter for information on Tara Reade’s accounts in 2020 months after she issued allegations about being sexually assaulted by President Joe Biden in 1993, documents obtained by the Daily Caller show.
The Commerce Department found on Friday that four large Chinese solar panel manufacturers are avoiding longstanding U.S. tariffs by assembling their products in Southeast Asia before importing them to the country.
By accusing Iran of supplying weapons to Russia, Western powers try to justify their own arms deliveries to the Kiev government, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said during a phone conversation with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
"Accusations of delivering weapons to Russia are baseless. Those accusations are being put forward in order to legitimize Western arms deliveries to Ukraine," the Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted the minister as saying in a statement, posted on its Telegram channel.
According to Abdollahian, Tehran opposes arms deliveries to all sides of the conflict, because in its opinion it would only increase "human and material losses on both sides."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Thursday that the US and NATO’s move to focus on countering China in the Asia Pacific has led to an increase in military cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.
"We know how seriously the People’s Republic of China regards these provocations [by NATO in the South China Sea], let alone Taiwan and the Taiwan Strait. We understand that this playing with fire by NATO in that part of the world carries threats and risks for the Russian Federation," Lavrov said at a press conference, according to TASS.
Matt Taibbi, contributing editor at Rolling Stone, released what Elon Musk has referred to as “The Twitter Files,” Friday afternoon detailing how the social media platform suppressed a New York Post story regarding a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden.
Prominent criminal and conspiracy theorist Hillary Clinton emerged from hiding on Thursday to spout some of her vilest remarks yet. In a softball discussion with radical PBS journalist Christiane Amanpour, Clinton proclaimed that pro-life Americans were no different than the Iranian regime, the Taliban, and Russian soldiers on women’s rights.
