American officials are intensifying efforts to build a giant stockpile of weapons in Taiwan after studying recent naval and air force exercises by the Chinese military around the island, according to current and former officials.

The exercises showed that China would probably blockade the island as a prelude to any attempted invasion, and Taiwan would have to hold out on its own until the United States or other nations intervened, if they decided to do that, the current and former officials say.

But the effort to transform Taiwan into a weapons depot faces challenges. The United States and its allies have prioritized sending weapons to Ukraine, which is reducing their stockpiles, and arms makers are reluctant to open new production lines without a steady stream of long-term orders.

Former Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski expressed outrage at the FBI's handling of damning information he provided them about the first son's business dealings involving his uncle, James Biden, Chinese and other foreign interests, and reportedly the current president of the United States himself.

Bobulinski, a Navy veteran and the former head of SinoHawk Holdings, which he described as a partnership between the CEFC Chinese energy conglomerate and two Biden family members, told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" in an exclusive interview Tuesday that he decrypted subtle word choices by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg from his own sit-down with UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan. He explained how it allegedly showed the FBI must have known how damaging his information on the Biden family was to the then-candidate.

Zuckerberg told Rogan earlier this year that FBI officials came to Facebook executives and warned them of "a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election" and to be on notice "there's about to be some kind of dump -- that's similar to that, so just be vigilant."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's latest desperate attempt to convince Western politicians that Kiev can now join NATO is a sign that he is running out of props, analysts told Sputnik.

On Friday, Zelensky said that Ukraine was applying to join NATO in an expedited manner after the DPR, the LPR, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions decided to join Russia.

"He is running out of props... so he is grasping at whatever mirage might save him," University of Pittsburgh Professor of International Affairs Michael Brenner said on Monday. "Thus, the idea of joining NATO."

The fantasy that his Western masters would allow Ukraine to join NATO revealed the imaginary nature of the world Zelensky lived in, Brenner observed.

Bahrain will no longer run in an election to the U.N.'s top human rights body later this month, a U.N. website showed, after critics drew attention to alleged human rights violations.

A U.N. site showed that Bahrain withdrew its candidacy on Sept. 26 to run for a three-year seat at the Geneva-based body, without giving details.

A Bahrain government spokesperson told Reuters in a statement that the deferral of the Gulf Arab state's candidacy "results from ongoing consultation with its geographical group", describing that as a standard practice.

Few things have as much bipartisan support in the U.S. as unconditional support for Israel. Ironically, while criticisms of the U.S. government are protected by the First Amendment, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have made it nearly impossible to criticize Israel without facing tangible consequences like public smearing, and even financial loss. Across the U.S., 34 states — from “blue” states like California and New York to “red” states like Texas and South Carolina — have passed some form of legislation that makes it illegal for the state to contract with businesses and individuals who participate in Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS), a grassroots movement founded by Palestinian civil society that seeks to pressure Israel to abide by international law.

Here’s a translation of the German article which is unfortunately behind a paywall:

In scientific circles, doubts arise as to whether the information provided by the manufacturers about the mRNA vaccine is correct. Biontech/Pfizer and Moderna have so far refused to independently verify the data. A Stiko member is now also criticizing.

Virologists, epidemiologists, pharmacologists – they may not have always been friendly to each other during the pandemic. But they are now coming together on one point: it is the demand for an independent review of the studies that led to the approval of the mRNA vaccines from Biontech/Pfizer and Moderna. The studies are published. However, the primary data, scientifically the decisive documents, are missing. All vaccine evaluations of the registration studies are based on them. Until now, the documents have been kept under lock and key by the manufacturers, and they are refusing requests to see them.

Musk didn’t provide many details beyond a one-line tweet. But the Tesla Inc. impresario has openly admired the Tencent Holdings Ltd. app that’s grown from a messaging service to a mini-internet used daily by more than a billion Chinese.

He’s mused aloud about making Twitter more useful, indicating he wants it to be more like WeChat and TikTok, the video-sharing service owned by ByteDance Ltd. that’s taken off across the US. And he’s drawn parallels to so-called super apps common in parts of Asia, letting people use a single smartphone application for a range of services from communications to summoning a car.

Over the last several weeks, many mainstream news media outlets have claimed that hurricanes are becoming more expensive, more frequent, and more intense because of climate change.

All of those claims are false.

The increasing cost of hurricane damage can be explained entirely by more people and more property in harm’s way. Consider how much more developed Miami Beach is today compared to a century ago. Once you adjust for rising wealth, there is no trend of increasing damage.

Asked, “What is an American?” many would answer, “An American is a citizen of the United States.”

Yet, at the First Continental Congress in 1774, 15 years before the U.S. became a nation of 13 states, Patrick Henry rose to proclaim that, “British oppression has effaced the boundaries of the several colonies; the distinctions between Virginians, Pennsylvanians, New Yorkers, and New Englanders are no more. I am not a Virginian, but an American.”

Henry was saying — more than a dozen years before our constitutional republic was established — that America already existed as a nation, and he was her loyal son.

In an 1815 letter to Thomas Jefferson, long after both men had served as president, John Adams wrote:

“As to the history of the Revolution, my Ideas may be peculiar, perhaps Singular. What do We mean by the Revolution? The War? That was no part of the Revolution. It was only an Effect and Consequence of it. The Revolution was in the Minds of the People, and this was effected, from 1760 to 1775, in the course of fifteen Years before a drop of blood was drawn at Lexington.”

Adams was saying that America was conceived and, as an embryonic nation, grew within the hearts of the peoples of the 13 colonies, two to three decades before the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Just when you thought Disney had reached the bottom, the company announced it was airing FX’s show “Little Demon”, about a woman impregnated by Satan and her antichrist daughter.

On August 29th, Disney announced it would air a new ‘comedy’ about a woman impregnated by Satan and her Antichrist daughter.  This show begin streaming on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand with expectations of releasing in other markets soon.

In FX’s “Little Demon,” an animated comedy featuring the voices of Danny DeVito and Aubrey Plaza, it has been 13 years since being impregnated by Satan, and a reluctant mother, Laura, and her Antichrist daughter, Chrissy, attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware. However, the two are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul.

Webmaster addition: Antichrist daughter? Kind of reminds me of my first wife!

Chris Cuomo’s return to primetime cable news was a ratings flop that landed him in last place against the competition.

The former CNN star’s premiere of his new show “Cuomo” on NewsNation pulled in just 147,000 total viewers on Monday night, according to figures released by Nielsen Media Research.

Cuomo — who as reported by The Post is being paid just $1 million a year by the fledgling network, a fraction of his compensation at CNN — fared poorly in the 25-54-year-old age demographic that is mostly coveted by advertisers — drawing just 8,000 viewers.

CNBC, Fox Business, HLN, and Newsmax all beat Cuomo in the 25-54 demographic, according to Nielsen.

Cuomo’s viewership in the 25-54 demographic was smaller than the 7 p.m. hour that preceded his show on NewsNation.

Adding insult to injury for Cuomo was the fact that reruns of syndicated shows such as “Blue Bloods” on NewsNation as well as “Paw Patrol,” “SpongeBob,” “Seinfeld,” “Cocomelon,” “The Office” and “Bobs Burgers” all drew more total viewers and the 25-54 demographic.

Republicans are seizing on recent gaffes from President Biden, putting a spotlight on his slip-ups to attack Biden’s competency ahead of both the midterms and a 2024 presidential race.

The GOP in particular is using a moment last week when Biden asked whether a congresswoman who died in August was in attendance at the event where he was speaking.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) included the gaffe in a list of their top Democrat fails from last week, criticizing the White House’s refusal to say if Biden would apologize for his remarks as “tough to watch.”

The RNC did not make Biden’s age a central part of its criticism, but it is an implicit and sometimes explicit part of the attacks from various Republicans, who see perceptions of Biden’s age and competence as a potentially fruitful line of attack.

Democrats who themselves are wondering if Biden will stick with his stated intensions of running for reelection at the age of 81 acknowledge they are worried that attacks could swing some voters.

By infusing tens of billions of dollars’ worth of military aid into Ukraine, NATO produced a “game-changing” dynamic designed to throw Russia off balance. By undertaking the referendums in Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk, and Lugansk, Russia changed the game altogether.

The ancient Greeks spoke of lemma as representing a logical premise, a matter taken for granted. This contrasted with a dilemma, or “dual premise”, where one would be presented with an either/or proposition. The Romans furthered this notion, referring to a “double premise” as argumentum cornutum, of the “horned argument,” because by answering one argument, an individual would be impaled by the logic of the second. Thus are the ancient roots of the modern idiom, “on the horns of a dilemma.”

This is the ultimate objective of maneuver warfare, for example: to position your forces in such a manner as to present the enemy with no good option – should they react to one pressing threat, they would find themselves overwhelmed by the other.

The Russian military operation that has been underway in Ukraine for more than seven months now has provided ample examples of the military forces of both sides being confronted with a situation that compelled them to alter their preferred course of action; the Russian “diversion” against Kiev early on in the SMO prevented the Ukrainians from reinforcing their forces in eastern Ukraine, and the recently concluded Ukrainian counteroffensive in Kharkov compelled a hasty Russian withdrawal from a significant swath of previously occupied Ukrainian territory.

A mild flutter ensued after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s recent meeting with his Turkiye counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York on September 21 when it came to be known that Cyprus figured in their discussion. Jaishankar highlighted it in a tweet.

The Indian media instinctively related this to Turkish President Recep Erdogan making a one-line reference to the Kashmir issue earlier that day in his address to the UNGA. But Jaishankar being a scholar-diplomat, would know that Cyprus issue is in the news cycle and the new cold war conditions breathe fresh life into it, as tensions mount in the Turkish-Greek rivalry,  which often draws comparison with the India-Pakistan animosity, stemming from another historical “Partition” — under the Treaty of Lausanne (1923) that ended the Ottoman Empire.

The beauty about peace treaties is that they have no ‘expiration date’ but the Treaty of Lausanne was signed for a period of a hundred years between Turkiye on one side and Britain, France, Italy, Greece, and their allies on the other. The approaching date heightens the existential predicament at the heart of Turkiye’s foreign policy.

Officials in South Korea acknowledged a failed missile test on Wednesday after an explosion at a military base left surrounding residents concerned about a possible attack from the North.

The blast at Gangneung Air Base, about 60 miles south of the North Korean border, happened as allies the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the United States conducted a series of joint tests late on Tuesday, a show of force after Pyongyang’s latest long-range missile launch.

A social media video thought to have been taken by nearby residents showed a missile being launched into the night sky. Another clip appeared to show a large fire at the Gangneung base, but the accident wouldn’t be confirmed for several hours. Newsweek could not independently verify the authenticity of the latter video.

Seoul said four ground-to-ground missiles were fired into the East Sea, or the Sea of Japan, during the tests. The launch of a fifth, a South Korean Hyunmoo-2 ballistic missile, failed at the facility in coastal Gangneung, Yonhap News Agency reported.

That's according to MNP's quarterly Consumer Debt Index released on Monday. The survey, which is conducted by Ipsos and tracks Canadians' attitudes towards their debt situation, found that 52 per cent of respondents say it is becoming less affordable to feed themselves and their families, an increase of five percentage points from December 2021.

A malfunctioning South Korean ballistic missile blew up as it ploughed into the ground on Wednesday during a live-fire drill with the United States that was a reprisal for North Korea's successful launch a day earlier of a weapon that flew over Japan and has the range to strike the US territory of Guam.

The explosion and subsequent fire panicked and confused residents of the coastal city of Gangneung, who were already uneasy over the increasingly provocative weapons tests by rival North Korea.

Their concern that it could be a North Korean attack only grew as the military and government officials provided no explanation about the explosion for hours.

Three council members representing the Queens, NY area are attempting to push the Police Department to eliminate a gang database that the agency maintains.

One of the three councilmembers pushing this is Tiffany Caban, and The Post Millennial reports that she has called the database a “dragnet for surveilling black and brown New Yorkers.”

However, as recently as August, gang members were known to have entered a coffee shop directly across from Caban’s office with guns and robbed customers in that shop. Queens Councilmembers Julie Won of the 26th District and Shekar Krishnan of District 25 are joining Caban in this push to eliminate the gang database despite recent spikes in gang-related crime.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) says human smuggling attempts by aircraft are becoming more common in the border state.

Over the last 30 days, Texas DPS has stopped three human smuggling attempts via plane at different airports in the same area of the Rio Grande Valley, according to Texas Highway Patrol Staff Lieutenant Christopher Olivarez.

"We're seeing an increase," Olivarez said of human smuggling attempts by plane. "It's started to become more common. But … these are small, private airports. They're not using the larger airports where there's TSA. These are the smaller airports where you don't have the security measures in place for private planes. It's kind of hard to … do surveillance at every single airport."

A Massachusetts father and son pair of restaurant owners in the Boston area were arrested Tuesday in connection with an alleged human smuggling operation in which victims were allegedly forced to work in the establishments to pay off their debt.

Jesse James Moraes, 64, and Hugo Giovanni Moraes, 42, Woburn residents, were each charged with conspiring to encourage and induce an alien to come to, enter, and reside in the United States for the purpose of commercial advantage or private financial gain, the Justice Department said.

Chelbe Willams Moraes, a resident of Brazil, is also accused of smuggling migrants illegally into the United States from Brazil in exchange for $18,000 to $22,000 in fees. Once in the U.S., the migrants were allegedly employed by Jesse Moraes and Hugo Moraes at two of their restaurants – Taste of Brazil—Tudo No Brasa and The Dog House Bar & Grill

Losing trust in doctors and the medical establishment is a sad consequence of the pandemic.

Doctors have not done all that they should have to better serve their patients in the COVID pandemic.

After truth telling in my writings for about two years, I remain saddened that the vast majority of the public remains victimized by propaganda in favor of vaccines and boosters while ignoring the many truths I and others have been shouting.

It now seems important for all of us who know the truth to put much of the blame on regular doctors that people ordinarily see.  The very sad fact is that nearly all of them are a combination of being ignorant (about COVID, vaccines and their alternatives), cowards for being unwilling to risk their jobs and prestige, and just plain biased – supporting what government agencies and medical establishment forces have hit the public with.

We need a public uprising against prevalent physician beliefs and behaviors.

Residents and workers in the area have reported to the New York Post that their once vibrant neighborhoods are now entirely different and scary.

In September alone, the neighborhood had at least four trash fires. Those fires were taken care of quickly, but the amount of crime and lawlessness that continues to plague the area has begun to spiral out of control, according to reports from the residents who live there and the people who work in the area.

It seems that the criminals are encouraged by a lack of oversight over their actions and perhaps the lack of a meaningful crackdown on the crimes they intend to commit. Business owners are mainly concerned as they have seen their storefronts robbed more frequently.

Last week, I was viciously attacked by the media for raising awareness about Boston Children’s Hospital offering gender-affirming hysterectomies for young girls. Left-wing activists called for me to be banned from social media for drawing attention to a practice Boston Children’s Hospital was publicly advertising. The attacks lasted for a week. They gaslit the public and denied that these types of procedures were being performed on children. According to the media, I was baselessly stoking anti-trans outrage and therefore deserved to be silenced.

Undeterred, I decided to focus on finding out if other children’s hospitals were engaged in these barbaric practices, too. That’s when I stumbled across Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Scrolling through their site, I came across a page which says the hospital treats young patients between the ages of 0 and 21 for gynecology care and gender-affirming medical treatments, including hysterectomies.

The US Space Force and the Australian Department of Defence have announced the initial operational capability of the Space Surveillance Telescope.

The achievement follows extensive tests and assessments since 2020 when the telescope was relocated from New Mexico to Australia.

When fully operational, the US and Australia will obtain improved space domain awareness by providing “ground-based, broad-area search, detection and tracking of faint objects in deep space.”

Daily life in Haiti began to spin out of control last month just hours after Prime Minister Ariel Henry said fuel subsidies would be eliminated, causing prices to double.

Gunshots rang out as protesters blocked roads with iron gates and mango trees. Then Haiti’s most powerful gang took a drastic step: It dug trenches to block access to the Caribbean country’s largest fuel terminal, vowing not to budge until Henry resigns and prices for fuel and basic goods go down.

The poorest country in the Western hemisphere is in the grips of an inflationary vise that is squeezing its citizenry and exacerbating protests that have brought society to the breaking point. Violence is raging and making parents afraid to send their kids to school; fuel and clean water are scarce; hospitals, banks and grocery stores are struggling to stay open.

The United States asked the U.N. Security Council to meet on North Korea on Wednesday after Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile over Japan, but diplomats said China and Russia are opposed to a public discussion by the 15-member body.

Nuclear-armed North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile farther than ever before on Tuesday, sending it soaring over Japan for the first time in five years and prompting a warning for residents there to take cover.

"We must limit the DPRK's ability to advance its unlawful ballistic missile and weapons of mass destruction programs," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, posted on Twitter, after calling for a public Security Council meeting.

Britain, France, Albania, Norway and Ireland joined the United States in making the request. North Korea is formally known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Yemen's Houthi rebels resumed attacks on government forces just hours after the end of a six-month UN-mediated truce between the country's warring parties.

The Iran-backed Houthis launched attacks in a number of governorates in an attempt to secure battlefield gains, The New Arab's Arabic sister service, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, reported.

This includes attacks against government positions in the Taiz province in the southwest and the oil-rich Marib Governorate in Yemen's east.

Colonel Saleh Al-Qutaibi, deputy chief of the Yemeni army's media centre, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the Houthis had launched sporadic attacks on Sunday night on army positions in southern Marib.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday appealed for national unity and tried to allay anger against the country’s rulers, even as the anti-government protests that have engulfed the country for weeks continued to spread to universities and high schools.

Raisi acknowledged that the Islamic Republic had “weaknesses and shortcomings,” but repeated the official line that the unrest sparked last month by the death of a woman in the custody of the country’s morality police was nothing short of a plot by Iran’s enemies.
