"The masses have never thirsted after truth. They turn aside from evidence that is not to their taste, preferring to deify error, if error seduce them. Whoever can supply them w/illusions is easily their master; whoever attempts to destroy their illusions is always their victim." -- Gustave Le Bon
The US Administration is open for a ‘serious and sustained’ dialogue with the authorities of North Korea without any preconditions, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said.
"We are open to serious and sustained dialogue with the DPRK," he said. "We've made clear in both public and private communications that we have no hostile intent towards the DPRK, we are prepared to meet without any preconditions."
"And yet Pyongyang has today completely rejected this sincere outreach," he noted. Sullivan said that if North Korea opts for taking a different track, the United States is "prepared to explore practical steps that would increase regional security and address the interests of both sides."

Amid Ukraine's bid to join the European Union, former Russian President and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said he believes it would take more than half a century for the war-torn nation to get EU membership. According to Medvedev, Ukraine may get the 27-member bloc membership by the 2050s and "the economic and political bloc could break up before then". His "speculative" comment came nearly two days after the European Commission recommended designating Ukraine as a candidate for the European Union.
Notably, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy applied for EU membership just four days after his Russian counterpart started a "special military operation" against Kyiv. The 'desperate' call of Zelenskyy was also heard by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, as she carried the questionnaire book along with her when she recently visited the war-torn country for the first time. However, Medvedev took a jibe at the application and claimed Ukraine has been aspiring to become an EU member since 2014 and added the wishes have been unfulfilled since then. Further, he said that the admission of Ukraine to the European Union is similar to the building of communism in the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).
In May that Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, along with Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, filed a lawsuit (Missouri v. Biden ) against the Biden Administration, including Biden himself, Anthony Fauci, the Department of Homeland Security and nearly a dozen federal agencies and Secretaries.
Twitter owner Elon Musk on Wednesday confirmed what everyone with two functioning brain cells and intellectual honesty already knew; the social media giant has "interfered in elections."
In a discussion over a Reuters article in which the company's former head of trust and safety says Twitter is 'not safer' under Musk, user @EvaFoxU posted: "Twitter has shown itself to be not safe for the past 10 years and has lost users’ trust. The past team of "trust and safety” is a disgrace, so it doesn’t have any right to judge what is being done now," adding "They had a chance, but they sold their souls to a corporation."
To which Musk replied, "Exactly. The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections."
The European Union threatened Elon Musk with a ban on Twitter if demands are not met over banned accounts, content moderation, targeted advertising and an audit, according to a report Wednesday by the Financial Times. The threat came during a videoconference call between Musk and EU commissioners.
On a visit to Tehran, Tuesday, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani gave the Iranian government an outline of the security plan agreed between Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, in a bid to prevent an Iranian ground incursion against Kurdish groups operating in northern Iraq.
According to Iraqi sources, the agreement between Baghdad and Erbil included in particular the formation of joint units made up of Iraqi army, border guard and Peshmerga forces and their deployment along the border with Iran. The agreement also covered the prevention of any form of support to the Iranian opposition by the regional Kurdish government or local political parties.
Ahead of Sudani's visit Tehran had on Monday already welcomed the Iraqi government's decision to send troops to the border area with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Twitter’s decision to stop enforcing its COVID-19 misinformation policy has put another bullseye on Elon Musk's back.
“In my view, Twitter now is jumping to the front of the queue of the regulators,” Věra Jourová, the European Commission’s vice president for values and transparency, told POLITICO.
“Mr. Musk seems to want to attract a lot of attention,” she added when asked about the Commission’s stance on Twitter’s decision not to remove falsehoods related to the ongoing global pandemic. “I think he succeeded in attracting the attention of the regulators, also with a recent decision not to assess COVID-related disinformation.”

The Chinese people have had enough of the brutal “zero-Covid” policies of the authoritarian CCP-controlled country. Citizens have been suffering under cruel measures for years leading to isolation, starvation, and even suicide.
The parents of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are currently in Israel. This was reported on one of the Telegram channels.
According to the authors of Nezygar, on May 6, the father and mother of the Ukrainian leader received Israeli citizenship. Already at the age of 19, Zelensky’s parents entered the country and settled in the family house of businessman Igor Kolomoisky.
Analysts of the Telegram channel emphasized that the parents of the head of Ukraine decided to buy a villa and three cars for a new passport. The acquisitions cost them 790 thousand euros.
Russia is not going to discuss the New START Treaty with the United States as long as Washington keeps arming Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik radio on Wednesday.
"The United States is planning to send more weapons to the region of the conflict in which Russia has been involved. So, they will keep supplying all those arms and goad the Kiev regime into committing more bloodshed, while allocating funds for extremist activities conducted under the authority of individuals on Bankovaya Streat (where the Ukrainian presidential office is located - TASS) who are far from being rational people, while we sit down to discuss mutual security issues with them, including those in their interests?" she mused.
The European Commission (EC) has confirmed that it deleted information that 100,000 Ukrainian military personnel died since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine from the video address and the written statement of EC President Ursula von der Leyen.
"Many thanks to those who pointed out the inaccuracy regarding the figures in a previous version of this video," EC spokeswoman Dana Spinant tweeted. "The estimation used, from external sources, should have referred to casualties, i.e. both killed and injured, and was meant to show Russia‘s brutality," she added.
The European Commission deleted information about the 100,000 Ukrainian servicemen and 20,000 civilians who died since the start of the Russian special military operation from the video address and the written statement of EC President Ursula von der Leyen released Wednesday morning, TASS reported earlier. Such information was removed approximately two hours after the posting of the video address and statement.
On Tuesday, Governor Kristi Noem (R-SC) signed an executive order prohibiting the use of the China-controlled app TikTok by state agencies, workers, and contractors using state devices due to national security concerns.
With the approaching winter, the gradual depletion of supplies of military equipment and ammunition from Europe to Ukraine, as well as heavy losses of the AFU in the Donetsk region, dissatisfaction with the Polish government’s actions is growing among Poles.
From the very beginning of the conflict, Poland has taken a position of full-fledged support for Kiev. One of the results of this was the adoption by the Ukrainian parliament in July 2022 of the law on special guarantees for Poles. Many media saw this gesture as preparation for Poland’s gradual takeover of Ukraine’s border regions; however, there was no further development of this process.
The Bushmaster armored vehicle of the AFU with Polish mercenaries was ambushed by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The location and date of the incident are unknown:
A 41-year-old woman was found decapitated in the kitchen of her Philadelphia home Tuesday afternoon. Police arrested 34-year-old Ahmad Shareef who was found hiding in bushes several blocks away and charged him with murder and abuse of a corpse. Shareef is being held without bail. The victim was identified as Leila Al Raheel. Both are reported to be Syrian immigrants.
In his quests to stack the College of Cardinals, reshape the U.S. episcopate, and usher in “a different Church,” Pope Francis has promoted a slate of radical American cardinals with a shared vision that would all but destroy the Catholic Church as we know it.
With his recent elevation of San Diego’s Cardinal Robert McElroy, Pope Francis has now appointed half of all cardinal electors from the United States. His four other American cardinals share McElroy’s decidedly liberal bent: Cardinal Joseph Tobin of Newark, New Jersey; Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago; Cardinal Wilton Gregory of Washington, D.C.; and Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life.
The five men, mostly little-known bishops before the Francis papacy, are now among the most powerful in the Church, boasting a long list of curial appointments and control over two of the most prominent sees in America. Each of them has alleged connections to ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, whom Pope Francis reportedly consulted on episcopal appointments. Any of them could be the next pope.
In addition to their newfound influence, the Pope’s liberal American cardinals have a radical agenda that aims at nothing less than revolution in the Church. Their vision, much of it rooted in Francis’ controversial apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia, includes dismantling the Church’s understanding of sin and conscience, overhauling Catholic teaching on homosexuality and the family, entrenching LGBT activism within the Church, and shielding homosexual abusers while crushing the faithful Catholic priests and laity who stand in their way.
Webmaster addition: It's not just the Catholic church dealing with this issue. The United Methodist Church is splitting in two over the LGBTQ issue.
According to the WEF, a new one world religion has arrived and it unites all of humanity in worshipping at the altar of climate science, techno-communism and eugenics.
If you find it hard to believe Klaus Schwab’s WEF would go this far, you clearly haven’t been paying attention to developments in recent times.
Klaus Schwab’s right hand man Yuval Noah Harari has announced that the WEF has been so successful in its plans that it is “acquiring divine powers” of “creation and destruction.” The blasphemy doesn’t stop there. Harari also promises the WEF will turn humans into gods.
Mondoweiss has been covering the “No Tech for Apartheid” movement for over a year now. In October 2021 hundreds of workers at Google and Amazon published an open letter in The Guardian condemning Project Nimbus, a billion dollar contract between the two tech companies and the Israeli government. The deal helps provide cloud services to the Israeli Defense Forces.
The letter reads: “We cannot look the other way, as the products we build are used to deny Palestinians their basic rights, force Palestinians out of their homes and attack Palestinians in the Gaza Strip – actions that have prompted war crime investigations by the international criminal court.”
A lot has happened since that letter ran, as the No Tech for Apartheid movement has continued to grow. Our U.S. correspondent Michael Arria checked in with two organizers to talk about its current state and what might come next.
The Algerian government will allocate approximately $22 billion to its defense budget in 2023 – more than twice as much as its military expenditures in 2022, which stood at approximately $10 billion.
The massive increase in Algeria’s defense budget, now the largest in Africa, makes the Arab nation an even bigger player in the geopolitical field, overtaking countries such as Spain, Turkiye, Iran, Israel, Canada, and the UAE.
The new budget, approved on 22 November, represents an increase of 110 percent since last year, according to Radio France Internationale (RFI).
According to Algerian journalist Akram Kharie, who specializes in defense issues, the increase is necessary to update and maintain military equipment bought from Russia in 2007.
The remarks were made on Monday during a meeting chaired by Chen Wenqing, head of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, the party’s top security organ, according to state media Xinhua. Chen is a member of the 24-strong Politburo that was newly formed in October.
A 65-year-old woman who was receiving a promising experimental treatment to slow the cognitive decline caused by her early Alzheimer’s disease recently died from a massive brain hemorrhage that some researchers link to the drug. The clinical trial death, described in an unpublished case report Science has obtained, is the second thought to be associated with the antibody called lecanemab. The newly disclosed fatality intensifies questions about its safety and how widely lecanemab should be prescribed if ultimately approved by regulators.
The woman, who received infusions of the antibody as part of the trial, suffered a stroke and a type of swelling and bleeding previously seen with such antibodies, which bind to and remove forms of amyloid-beta, a protein widely theorized to cause Alzheimer’s. After the stroke was diagnosed in an emergency room at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago, she was given a common intervention, the powerful blood-clot busting medication tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). Substantial bleeding throughout her brain’s outer layer immediately followed, and the woman died a few days later, according to the case report.
The Joe Biden administration is now discussing whether to send advanced air defense systems to Kiev, according to a senior Pentagon official. The statement came just days after Poland suggested Germany should transfer its own Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine, as Moscow warned any such shipments would become “legitimate targets” for Russian forces.
Speaking to reporters for a press briefing on Tuesday, an unnamed senior official said “all capabilities are on the table” in regards to Ukraine aid, adding that the Patriot system “is one of the air defense capabilities that is being considered along with all others.”
Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder later clarified that the White House has no immediate plans to send Patriot missiles to Ukraine, but noted that discussions are still underway. Asked whether the administration was concerned a Patriot transfer would escalate tensions with Moscow, Ryder offered no direct answer, instead explaining complications related to training and maintenance, saying such advanced weapons are not “plug and play.”
Russia has decided to use the force necessary in Ukraine. The Russians have begun to destroy the Ukrainian lines of communications — the power grid, bridges, roads and railroads — without which Ukraine’s forces can’t be resupplied. Once the destruction of the lines of communication is completed, Russia’s army, particularly its extensive artillery, will present Ukrainian forces with the unpleasant reality that they are vastly outgunned and outnumbered.
How far west Russia chooses to advance is an open question but it must be assumed that in addition to the four oblasts already claimed — Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson — they’d want at least Mykolayiv and Odesa. With those two additional oblasts Russia would have absorbed most of the territory referred to as Novorossiya (New Russia) and deprive what’s left of Ukraine access to the Black Sea. In addition, Odesa shares a border with Transnistria, a breakaway Moldovan state which has hosted a small (two battalions) Russian Army presence since 1995.
Once the Russian advance begins, NATO can either accept Russia’s victory or engage the Russians with NATO forces. While a compelling case can be made that this conflict should have been seen as a local matter with an inevitable outcome, there’s little to suggest NATO’s leadership is capable of drawing that conclusion.
There are hundreds of other carbon dioxide monitoring sites across the globe. The federal government is looking for a temporary alternate site on the Hawaiian island and is contemplating flying a generator to the Mauna Loa observatory to get its power back so it can take measurements again, said officials at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Global Monitoring Lab in Colorado that operates the station.
The Hawaiian station goes back to 1958 and is the main site for the famous Keeling Curve that shows rising carbon dioxide levels from burning of coal, oil and natural gas that tracks with rising temperatures. Levels of carbon dioxide at Mauna Loa have increased 33% since 1958.
Webmaster addition: Okay, so all this talk about high levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are based primarily on a monitoring site sitting on top of an active volcano, and even though the main crater of Mauna Loa hasn't erupted in 40 years, there are other craters further down the slope, including Kilauea, that are continuously active. What do active volcanoes spew out? Among other things, vast amounts of CO2. This is like putting a thermometer next to a roaring fire and using the resulting numbers to claim the whole world is heating up.
Which the climate nazis actually did!
Volcanoes put out more than 15 times as much greenhouse gases as all human activity on Earth!
