The European Union is working together with Ukraine to draw up a European defense industry strategy, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said Tuesday.

"As we look to the future, we must think of Ukraine's defense capabilities as part of our own defense capabilities. We must think of Ukraine's defense industry as part of our own defense industry. This is why we have involved Ukraine in the preparations for our own Defense Industrial Strategy," she told the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Kiev authorities coordinate strike targets via HIMARS systems with the US: it is obvious who is complicit in the strike on Lisichansk, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said at a UN Security Council meeting.

"If someone accepts the claim that Western countries have nothing to do with it, as Kiev chooses targets for strikes on its own, he should be reminded of the confession from Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine. In August 2022, he let slip that in order to use the HIMARS systems, Kiev needs to agree on a target with Washington beforehand," Nebenzya said.

"Thus, it is obvious who is complicit in the crime committed in Lisichansk, and not only it, but dozens, if not hundreds of others involving Western weapons," he stressed. The diplomat highlighted that the Ukrainian troops have become so furious that they carry out terrorist attacks almost every week.

Reports that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is transporting goods to Israel via Jordan, on a new land route bypassing the risk of attacks on shipping in the Red Sea, off Yemen, has stoked anger on the Jordanian street.

Hundreds of Jordanians have held protests demanding an end to what they called "the Zionist land bridge" aimed at circumventing the impact of the attacks on ships heading to Israeli ports by the Iran-aligned Ansar Allah, better known as the Houthi movement.

In mid-December, Israeli media reported the arrival of the first batch of commercial shipments of fresh produce to Israel from the UAE through a new alternative route that passes through Saudi Arabia and Jordan and takes two days.

The Jordanian government has since repeatedly attempted to dispel the reports as misinformation, however a recent report by Israeli Channel 13 caused widespread anger in Jordan.

A string of opinion articles that equated the Middle East to a “jungle” and labelled Dearborn, Michigan, as the “Jihad capital” of America in reference to its Arab and Muslim community has sparked a social media outcry about racism and media bias in the US.

In an article titled, “Seeing the Middle East Through the Animal Kingdom,” New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman described the US’s armed foes Hezbollah, the Houthis and Kataib Hezbollah in insect terms, adding that Washington could not defeat them without “setting fire to the whole jungle”, an apparent reference to the wider Middle East.

"Sometimes I contemplate the Middle East by watching CNN. Other times, I prefer Animal Planet,” he added.

His remarks prompted an outpouring of anger on social media.

The farmer uprisings across the continent have forced the globalist European Union leadership in Brussels to back down from key elements to its green agenda to achieve “net zero” emissions — for now.

Following major wins last year in The Netherlands, tractor protests from farmers secured another significant victory against the globalist agenda on Tuesday, with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen scrapping plans to require the agriculture sector to cut methane and nitrogen emissions by a third by 2040.

Brussels is also set to backtrack on plans to cut the use of pesticides in half during the same time frame, which farmers have argued puts them at a disadvantage to foreign agriculture imported into the bloc under free trade deals at cheaper costs due to their countries having less stringent environmental regulations as the EU.

Plans to encourage Europeans to eat less meat, a central theme of the Great Reset movement favoured by elites, have also been abandoned.

Commenting on the move, EU chief von der Leyen said per The Telegraph: “Our farmers deserve to be listened to.”

The taxpayer-funded Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has been forced to scrap a drag queen story time session for children as young as three after opponents forced a backdown.

The four-hour event set for a Sydney, NSW, suburb was designed to be a lead in to the city’s annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras week of events.

Drag performers were scheduled to read books to children which sparked outrage from locals, Christian groups, and lawmakers who questioned whether the session was appropriate for very young children.

Others claimed the event in the state capital was a form of “gender indoctrination” based on LGBTQIA+ principles.
