"I offered my opponents a deal: "if they stop telling lies about me, I will stop telling the truth about them"." -- Adlai Stevenson, campaign speech, 1952
OE BIDEN: *nervous wheeze* “Oh focused. Ha ha ha I’d say it’s, it is I haven’t … here, look. I have trouble even mentioning, even saying to myself, in my head, the number of years. I no more think of myself being old as I am than fly.”
Comedian and libertarian activist Dave Smith got to the core of liberals’ hypocrisy in a viral Twitter thread posted Saturday about Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) flying some 50 illegal immigrants to the wealthy enclave of Martha’s Vineyard.
President Joe Biden said during an interview that aired Sunday night that people who do not believe that he is mentally fit to hold office should just watch him because “the proof of the pudding is in the eating.”

President Joe Biden once again said that Washington is willing to use military force to defend Taiwan from Beijing, if necessary, while insisting that the US still adheres to ‘One China’ policy and is “not encouraging” the island’s independence.
During a ‘60 Minutes’ CBS News interview aired Sunday night, Biden was asked if the US would become directly involved to “defend the island” in a potential conflict between Beijing and Taiwan, including through the use of military force.
“Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack…” Biden replied, before the broadcaster cut away to clarify the controversial statement. A White House official apparently explained to CBS, before the interview was aired, that US policy “has not changed” and that officially the US would still neither confirm nor deny whether American forces would defend Taiwan.
“So unlike Ukraine, to be clear, sir, US forces, US men and women would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion?” the interviewer Scott Pelley asked again.
“Yes,” reiterated Biden.
A banker recently told me that CEOs “would have to do something pretty special to fall into bankruptcy” the last couple of years as government pumped massive liquidity into the market, on top of the pandemic handouts.
That’s now changing, possibly quickly, with the Fed raising interest rates and reducing the size of its balance sheet.
A cruel winter is likely for Wall Street as markets remain choppy and their biggest clients scale back. Traditional deal-making such as IPOs has dropped significantly. At every major investment house, management is quietly planning layoffs (and some, like Goldman Sachs, not so quietly).
One area of potential growth: Wall Street restructuring departments. They’re eyeing expansion to provide advice to companies so burdened by high debt load they need to sell stuff or “restructure” in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The concept of the woke mentality blames all of America’s past problems on the former white leaders and conservatives that they claim missed critical moments in American history. Their goal is to rewrite American history, presenting a twisted version where the white man is presented as a terrorist determined to press the minority into a form of enslaved humans.
Bill Maher, a liberal comedian, was on “Real Time” when he decided it was time to poke a little fun at the woke concept. He stated, "New rule: You can get creative with a novel, a TV show or a movie, but history books – that’s not supposed to be fan fiction.”
I have some questions about those cameras. For instance, who’s watching? Are these cameras monitored by someone? Are they recording video footage, taking still photographs, or what? I tried doing some research to find out, but found no answers to these questions.
This may seem like a trivial matter, but the bigger issue is that as American citizens, we really have no personal privacy anymore. Someone is always watching us, collecting information and data about us, and tracking our every move. You may think this is no big deal because after all, you’re an upstanding citizen and have nothing to hide. But you’d be surprised how much data and information about you is continually being monitored, and stored. Just type your name or address into any internet search engine, and you may be surprised at what you find.
In today’s world of high tech, virtually every entity you interact with is collecting information on you. Of course, this has been going on for years, but things really ramped up in 2006 when a thing called “Facebook” was launched to the public. It was presented to us as a fun way to connect with family and friends, and make new friends online. Because it was so user-friendly, it grew quickly, especially with the advent of “smart phones” and other hand-held devices. Today, nearly 3 million people use Facebook daily, and many are addicted to it.
So-called home goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond announced on Friday they will be closing over 50 more stores, part of a total planned 150 store closures as their company continues to struggle.
The company secured over $500 million in new financing and is cutting its staff by roughly 20 percent.
In the past two years, the company has shrunk by about 35 percent. At the beginning of 2020, it had 1,478 stores. The store now has 955 stores.
The company is also in search for a new CEO after its chief financial officer, Gustavo Arnal, committed suicide at the beginning of this month.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is promising more flights packed with illegal aliens will be sent to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. and other liberal enclaves.
During a press conference last week, DeSantis vowed to Floridians that he will send more flights of illegal aliens to the homes of the Democrat party’s wealthiest communities.
“Now we see, in New York and D.C., they used to beat their chests when Trump was in office, saying they are sanctuary jurisdictions,” DeSantis said. “Then the minute Texas starts busing there, they get very bent out of shape about it.”
“These are just the beginning efforts,” DeSantis continued. “We got an infrastructure in place now. There is going to be a lot more that’s happening.”
Let’s roll the tape.
A Beijing-based gene firm on Monday announced the debut of the world's first cloned wild arctic wolf via video, 100 days after its birth in a Beijing lab. Experts said its birth pioneers the breeding of more rare and endangered animals through cloning technology.
"To save the endangered animal, we started the research cooperation with Harbin Polarland on cloning the arctic wolf in 2020. After two years of painstaking efforts, the arctic wolf was cloned successfully. It is the first case of its kind in the world," Mi Jidong, the company's general manager of the Beijing-based Sinogene Biotechnology Co, said at a press conference in Beijing.
The birth of the world's first cloned wild arctic wolf is a milestone for the application of cloning technology, which is of great significance to the conservation of rare and endangered animals and biodiversity, experts believe.
Sputnik’s Chief Editor Margarita Simonyan has commented on the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Civic Chamber’s call to hold a referendum to join Russia, calling it an “all-in move” and a Crimean scenario. She noted that should the republic vote affirmatively, it will drastically change the nature of the conflict in Ukraine.
“Today it’s referendum, tomorrow – it’s recognition of LPR as a part of Russia. The day after that, the strikes on the Russian territory become an all-out war of Ukraine and NATO with Russia, which will untie Moscow’s hands in so many aspects,” Simonyan wrote in her Telegram channel.
Simonyan expressed the opinion that the LPR might soon be not the only ones to announce referendums to join Russia.
The head of the LPR Civic Chamber commented in the wake of the address to the republic’s authorities that the referendum on joining Russia is a “matter of more than one day”. He, however, expressed hope that the answer will be given soon.
U.S. President Joe Biden said in an interview aired on Sunday that "the pandemic is over," even though the country continues to grapple with coronavirus infections that kill hundreds of Americans daily.

The Russian Defense Ministry has presented evidence of US military-biological activity in Ukraine to member states of the Biological Weapons Convention in Geneva, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense of the Russian Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, said.
The ministry’s representative said that member states’ delegations did not question the authenticity of the documents they were presented as proof of the US’ and Ukraine’s violation of articles I and IV of the Convention.
“The participants of the meeting received copies of real documents previously mentioned by the Ministry of Defense of Russia, as well as material evidence confirming the implementation of work on military-biological programs in Ukraine, for consideration,” Kirillov said.
The head of the RCBD of the Russian Armed Forces further pointed out that the US and Ukraine failed to present convincing evidence to the Convention’s members that would prove that the Pentagon’s cooperation with the Ukrainian laboratories benefited the epidemiological situation in the country. Kirillov said that the US Department of Defense only came up with a few photos of renovated laboratories, while the said epidemiological situation in Ukraine has been deteriorating for the past 15 years.
The Russian Defense Ministry’s representative further stated that the US admitted the fact that Ukraine exported biological pathogens and materials, as well as engaging in ethically questionable experiments – namely on the military and socially vulnerable groups of the Ukrainian population such as psychiatric ward patients. Kirillov slammed the US attempts to tone down the problem by using claims that it did not occur “often”.

It is not my intent to outline the entire history of how we got to this place where the intelligence community now acts as the superseding fourth branch of government. Such an effort would be exhausting and likely take our discussion away from understanding the current dynamic.
History provided enough warnings from Dwight D Eisenhower (military), to John F Kennedy (CIA), to Richard Nixon (FBI), to all modern versions of warnings and frustrations from HPSCI Devin Nunes and ODNI Ric Grenell. None of those prior reference points are invalid and all documented outlines of historic reference are likely true and accurate. However, a generational review is not useful, the reference impacting us ‘right now‘ gets lost.
Instead we pick up the expansive and weaponized intelligence system as it manifests after 9/11/01, and my goal is to highlight how the modern version of the total intelligence apparatus has now metastasized into a fourth branch of government. It is this superseding branch that now touches and influences every facet of our life.
If we take the modern construct, originating at the speed of technological change, we can also see how the oversight or “check/balance” in our system of government became functionally obsolescent.
President Joe Biden (D) admitted his student loan bailout is illegal during a CBS News interview that aired on Sunday night, critics say.
“President Biden’s declaration on 60 Minutes that the pandemic is over—which his administration also argued when ending Title 42 back in May—confirms the illegality of his attempt to transfer hundreds of billions of dollars of student debt to the taxpayer,” National Review writer Charles C.W. Cooke tweeted. “Textually, the OLC’s interpretation of the 2003 HEROES Act was preposterous from top to bottom. But even if one were to cynically ignore all that, the lack of an emergency would render the whole thing moot. Biden just admitted on TV he’s breaking the law.”
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) tweeted: “If ‘the pandemic is over’ as Biden says, then all of the President’s emergency powers predicated on a pandemic, all COVID vax mandates, the emergency powers of every governor, Emergency Use Authorizations, and the PREP act should all be voided tomorrow.”
Webmaster addition: I feel sorry for those students who got suckered into taking out loans on the promise that a degree in art history or gender studies would get them a high paying job. But they did sign those loan papers. My concern is with the millions of Americans who keep voting for politicians who promise to lower taxes, only to see the taxes skyrocket! We The People did not agree to those higher taxes. Where is our bailout?
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) accused governors Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis of committing “crimes against humanity” by sending illegal immigrants to deep blue sanctuary cities.
Which says a lot about those locations.
The New York socialist sent out a series of tweets in which she blasted DeSantis and Abbott for their tactics in dealing with illegal immigrants by shipping them out of their respective states of Texas and Florida.
“It’s appalling that far-right politicians seem to have decided that fall before an election is their regularly scheduled time to commit crimes against humanity on refugees,” she tweeted late last week.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis becomes another legendary Republican by sending immigrants to a sanctuary city, Martha’s Vineyard. Wealthy residents are known for their expensive lifestyles. Even Obama owns a home in the rich leftist community. However, they’ve claimed that they can’t afford immigrants. Not only did they instantly have the few immigrants sent via plane removed, but they also found a way to make money off them.
First, Martha’s Vineyard started a GoFundMe to help with the sudden growth in the migrant population. According to The Daily Wire, “The GoFundMe page stated, “Martha’s Vineyard is a community of open-hearted individuals that view these migrants as people, not political pawns. However, the island is a resort community with only 20,000 year-round residents and already faces a shortage of affordable housing and off-season jobs.”
The Democratic Party is engaged in a dangerous and failed electoral strategy. Rather than appealing to the majority working-class, non-Republican electorate, the party is courting right-wing politicians like Liz Cheney while funding far-right Republican candidates in this year’s primary elections. This approach resembles the disastrous Hillary Clinton campaign’s “Pied Piper” ploy of promoting the supposedly “more beatable” Trump in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries. Why is the Democratic Party lavishly funding Trump stooges such as John Gibbs, a former Trump administration official who claimed that Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory was “mathematically impossible?” Why do they see the stoking of fascist fire as an effective campaign strategy? Even The New York Times has called the tactic of funding far-right pro-Trump candidates a “Cynical Low for the Democratic Party.” Historian Paul Street joins The Chris Hedges Report to discuss what is taking place on our bizarre political landscape as we head towards the midterm elections.

The playwright Eugene O’Neill said that one of the few events worth celebrating in American history took place on June 25, 1876, when Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho, led by Crazy Horse and Chief Gall, annihilated a unit of the 7th Cavalry under the command of Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer. There are few battles in American history that have generated as much controversy or been as meticulously dissected and examined. And with good reason. The death of Custer and his command stunned the nation. It turned Custer into a martyr for the cause of western expansion and imperialism. His death, portrayed as the ultimate sacrifice for the nation that was at the time celebrating its centennial, was used to justify a massive military campaign against Native Americans that would culminate in the massacre of some 300 Native Americans in 1890 at Wounded Knee. There is a vast disparity between the mythic presentation of Custer and the reality of the so-called Indian wars. Native Americans, including women, the elderly, and children, were slaughtered. The U.S. government repeatedly violated formal treaties to seize land promised in perpetuity to Native Americans. The buffalo herds, which sustained nomadic tribes, were decimated by white hunters.
A small West Virginia police department, already under scrutiny for ratcheting up the number of traffic tickets issued, is now facing a federal civil rights lawsuit accusing it of not properly training officers to follow the law. The lawsuit also alleges Milton police officer Keith Higginbotham falsely arrested Caleb Dial and violated his rights by imprisoning him without probable cause in August of 2021.
The lawsuit was filed after Police Accountability Report published a story depicting Dial’s arrest. The story featured Ring doorbell camera footage that contradicted Higginbotham’s sworn statement that Dial had been “yelling” and “pushing” and was uncooperative during the arrest, which occurred outside Dial’s family’s home. Higginbotham had responded to the residence after Dial called police following a dispute with his father.
The doorbell camera depicts Dial calmly complying with Higginbotham as the officer places him in handcuffs. However, Higginbotham wrote in his statement of probable cause that Dial “became very agitated and kept on raising his voice at me. I asked him several times to calm down and then decided to detain him for officer safety.”

Since Joe Biden got into office and Democrats took control of Congress, there’s been a lot of talk about the Senate filibuster.
The filibuster is designed to give the minority party a voice in the Senate. However, Democrats are now railing against it. According to the left, the filibuster is a racist element with ties to the Jim Crow era.
However, what Democrats are now saying about the filibuster doesn’t hold up. When Republicans controlled Congress during the Trump administration, Democrats repeatedly used the filibuster to block right-wing reforms from passing into law.
Details surrounding the Sept. 9 burglary that allegedly took place at the home of Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA) have some commentators doubting the veracity of her claims.
The investigation by law enforcement revealed that the only items taken from her home were two registered guns that were in a lockbox in her closet. Despite the presence of jewelry, electronics, and other valuables in the home, these were the only items stolen.
