Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has gotten national Democrats bent out of shape over his decision to send a small group of illegal aliens released into the U.S. by Joe Biden’s open borders policies to liberal paradise Martha’s Vineyard. Now he is giving notice that he is just getting started.

During a Friday press conference, DeSantis discussed the effort the state undertook this week to put a spotlight on Biden’s border disaster. He chartered two planes carrying 48 illegal migrants to the municipal airport at Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, the highly affluent area where Barack Obama lives part-time in a multimillion-dollar estate.

Jill Biden is apparently planning to make an attempt to rehabilitate herself with Hispanic voters after her disastrous comparison between Latinos in Texas and “breakfast tacos.” With Democrats around the nation losing Latino voters to Republican candidates at a rapid pace, the party seems almost desperate to try anything in the run-up to the critical midterm elections in November.

Biden’s communications director Elizabeth Alexander confirmed with Fox News on Friday that the “first lady will host a Hispanic Heritage Month reception at the White House and continue to engage the community as she travels the country.” The date of the event has not been announced, but as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, it will certainly come before the midterms.

For over a year, Joe Biden’s been lying to the American people about inflation. It wasn’t too long ago that the president was saying inflation would just be a passing stage of economic recovery.

Then, the narrative shifted with Biden blaming Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, despite this happening well after massive price increases across the nation. Eventually, the White House posted on social media that Republicans were fueling inflation by not voting for the 2021 American Rescue Plan.

In the present day, Biden is still lying. His latest mistruths about inflation occurred during a 60 Minutes interview that aired over the weekend.

Texas Border Town Restaurant Owner Forced To Sell Family Business For This Abhorrent Reason

A small BBQ restaurant in Eagle Pass city will close its doors. Owner Selena Price works alongside her father and has for the past 19 years. The doors were shuttered when COVID started. Now, too many break-ins leave her no choice but to say goodbye to the family business as she sells it.

According to Fox News, “From February to now, I’ve had five,” Price said. “Not only has my business been broken into and ransacked—it’s just the insecurity now. You don’t feel safe at home anymore.”

Facing The Truth: Dem LA Mayor Speaks Out About 'Lost Angeles'

Crime continues to plague the city of Los Angeles. After two people broke into mayoral candidate Karen Bass’s home, she admitted that she didn’t feel safe in the city. The burglary comes months after she declared that the city was safe.

According to Fox News, “I do feel safe,” Bass claimed during a mayoral debate five months ago. “I would say a 10. I understand that many people around the city do not feel safe, and I respect that.”

That comment came before a burglary at her house. On Saturday, two men broke into the residence while Ms. Bass was not home. Per The Los Angeles Daily News, the mayoral candidate said, “LAPD was called, and I appreciate their assistance. At that time, only two firearms were stolen, despite being safely and securely stored. Cash, electronics, and other valuables were not. It’s unnerving, and, unfortunately, it’s something far too many Angelenos have faced.”

Melania Trump has slammed the media and her former aide, Stephanie Wolkoff, over comments about the White House Christmas celebrations leaked by Wolkoff and widely reported by the media, in an exclusive comment to Breitbart News.

The former First Lady’s statement is a response to Wolkoff leaking secretly recorded, out-of-context remarks expressing frustration with how the media was reporting on the border crisis during President Trump’s term in office, and her role preparing the White House Christmas decorations.

(White House)

The comments are often taken out of context in the media as “who gives a f*** about Christmas,” but were in fact part of a larger exchange of words between the First Lady and Wolkoff, in which the latter expressed frustration with the media attacking her over alleged family separations at the border.

In the secretly recorded comments, the First Lady attacked the media for its double standards in covering the border crisis.

I thought one of the benefits of being cancelled – I lost five positions in quick succession at the beginning of 2018 – is that it immunises you from being cancelled again. After all, what more dirt could be thrown at me? The offence archaeologists did such a thorough job four years ago, sifting through everything I’d said or written dating back to 1987, that there was nothing left to dig up. But it turns out that was naive. Last week I got cancelled again.

The instrument of my downfall was PayPal, the technology company that supports online money transfers and operates as a payment processor for online businesses, auction sites and so on. At around 2 p.m. last Thursday I received an email from PayPal informing me that the company was ‘initiating closure’ of my personal account because I was ‘in violation’ of its ‘Acceptable Use Policy’. I looked up that policy and it covers a multitude of sins, but no clue was offered as to which one I’d committed. ‘If you have money in your PayPal balance, we’ll hold it for up to 180 days,’ it said. That was a bit annoying because I have over £600 in the account, but it wasn’t the end of the world. I mainly use it for receiving payments from European magazines I write for occasionally.

Then it got serious. Within a few minutes of contacting me, PayPal sent the same message to the Daily Sceptic, the news publishing website I’ve been running for two-and-a-half years, and the Free Speech Union, the organisation I set up in 2020 to defend people threatened with cancellation. In both cases, PayPal was shutting down the accounts for the same reason – breaching the Acceptable Use Policy. No further details. To give you a sense of how serious this is, about a quarter of the Daily Sceptic’s donor revenue is processed by PayPal and about a third of the Free Speech Union’s 9,500 members pay their dues via PayPal.

The present moment is a pristine opportunity for libertarians to shift focus to the other heart of the state: information. The federal government, and the “law enforcement” agencies, which exist solely to allow the federal government to break the law with impunity, are revealed now as dependent upon information at least as much as money.

The FBI raid on Donald Trump’s private residence in Florida in early August was not in pursuit of cash, but paperwork. President Trump had the power to declassify that paperwork, which he claims he did by standing order. But as journalist Lee Smith notes, sources inside the bureau are saying that the real reason the FBI wanted the documents is not that they are classified, but that they reveal secrets about the FBI’s “Operation Crossfire Hurricane” coup against Trump.

Stealing money is standard operating procedure in Washington, DC. The FBI doesn’t raid houses when politicians go about their routine business of stealing money from citizens via taxes, and then stealing it again via bribes and kickback deals and other schemes. The FBI does raid houses when someone has information compromising to the FBI. It’s the information, not the money, that is revealed here to be the real lifeblood of the freedom-killing state.

Uganda has declared an outbreak of Ebola after a 24-year-old man suspected to have died from the disease tested positive for the Sudan strain of the virus, the World Health Organization announced today (September 20).

The man lived in the country’s central Mubende district and died after displaying symptoms including diarrhea, high fever, abdominal pain, and vomiting blood, Reuters reports. It is still unknown how he contracted the virus, but six other individuals in the district also died earlier this month of what local officials describe as “strange illness” now thought to have been Ebola, the Associated Press reports. There are currently eight other people in the country with suspected cases who are receiving treatment.

The WHO is working with Ugandan authorities to investigate the source of infection and is sending staff, isolation tents, and additional supplies to the area, it states in a news release.

“Uganda is no stranger to effective Ebola control,” WHO Africa Regional Director Matshidiso Moeti says in the release. “Thanks to its expertise, action has been taken quickly to detect the virus and we can bank on this knowledge to halt the spread of infections.”

Adrian Carter, 36, of Evansville via Vanderburgh County Jail

An Evansville man with more than 30 previous arrests was arrested again after trying to take a shopping cart filled with several hundred dollars worth of meat from a local grocery store, according to police.

The Evansville Police Department says officers were called to the west side Aldi store sometime around noon on Tuesday after a man tried to push a shopping cart filled with meat out the door. EPD says customers followed the man while store employees dialed 911.

When officers arrived in the area, EPD says the man, who was identified as 36-year-old Adrian Carter, initially surrendered by laying on the ground, but that he got up and took off running.

Police say they found Carter about an hour and a half later, and that he was sweating, muddy, and drinking alcohol.

“It’s possible to have more than one reserve currency.”

These are the recent words of Jerome Powell, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

It was a stunning admission from the one person with the most control over the US dollar—the world’s reserve currency.

Reading between the lines, Powell’s remarks are a strong hint that the current international monetary system based on the US dollar is on its way out… and soon.

Even the elites running this 50+ year old system can’t go along with the farce of maintaining it anymore.

New Orleans Gives Reasons For Closing Starbucks Popular Outlet

On Friday, Starbucks announced its store on Canal Street in New Orleans would close on October 3, according to 4WWL, a CBS affiliate.

A spokesperson for the coffee shop, Sam Jeffries, called the location “a high incident store.”

He said, “Our stores are windows into America. Daily, our partners witness the challenges facing our communities--challenges to personal safety, racism, a growing mental health crisis, and issues magnified by COVID. These challenges play out within our stores--affecting our partners, communities, and customers alike.”

According to BizPac Review, the owner of a nearby clothing store, Rubenstein’s, said his store is doing fine. David Rubenstein believes the real reason Starbucks is leaving the area is due to the homeless population.

See The Report: Former CDC Chief Says Fauci “Misled Congress”

Robert Redfield, former director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said the lab-leak explanation for COVID-19 is supported by evidence. The death threats started, and he has been deemed a conspiracy theorist.

Redfield alleges the real “conspiracy is Collins, Fauci, and the established scientific community,” according to Just the News.

He told Paul Thacker, a former Senate Finance Committee investigator, that Dr. Anthony Fauci knew he funded research that increases the danger of viruses and “misled Congress” when he denied the gain-of-function study.

In mid to late January, Redfield told Fauci of his concerns about the theory that the virus came from animals. Research showed it was not from bats. “This thing was manipulated,” he said.

Teacher Terminations: 850 More NYC Teachers Get The Axe, Here's Why...

The Gateway Pundit reported in a city where over 1.000 NYC Department of Education (DOE) staffers were fired for failing to comply with vaccination mandates after October 29, 2021, 850 more unvaccinated teachers and aides have been terminated.

Approximately 1,300 DOE employees took a year’s unpaid leave, including benefits, agreeing that, by September 5, they would show proof of COVID vaccinations in compliance with New York City’s vaccine mandate or be “deemed to have voluntarily resigned.” Only 450 teachers and paraprofessionals are returning to work, having complied with the order.

With the school year having started, some COVID restrictions were eased for students and staff, but not vaccine mandates. Councilman Joe Borelli, a Republican, believes it’s time to lift the order, calling it “absurd,” according to SI Live.

In May 2017, Rosneft chief executive Igor Sechin came to Berlin to outline a five-year plan to double the Russian oil company’s investments in German refining to €600mn.

Cut to 2022 and Rosneft’s assets have been taken over by the German government. Sechin’s dream of downstream expansion into Europe’s largest oil products market is in ruins, a victim of the escalating energy war between Russia and the west.

On Friday, the German government said it was seizing control of Rosneft’s stakes in three German refineries — PCK in Schwedt, north-east of Berlin, MiRo in Karlsruhe and Bayernoil in the Bavarian town of Vohburg.

The trigger for the takeover was the looming EU ban on imports of Russian oil, which comes into force on January 1 and could put massive pressure on Germany’s refining industry. Russia has already severed natural gas supplies to Germany threatening a deep recession in the country this winter.

The unilateral sanctions that Western countries unleashed on Russia have caused energy supply disruptions and energy hyperinflation across the world. Europe is rejiggering its energy supply chain away from Russia as it sources energy products elsewhere. EU countries are scrambling for tankers to import energy products from abroad, which has led to a surge in global tanker shipping rates.

Since slapping Russia with sanctions, the West has realized that global supply chains are fragile. Even before the Ukraine war, supply chains struggled due to uneven Covid economic recovery, trade war conflicts, and increasing geopolitical risks.

As such, the decision to rejigger Europe's entire energy supply chain away from Russia amid all the chaos in the world has created a shortage of vessels to carry essential fuels to energy-stricken regions this winter.

Bloomberg reported that Europe is importing liquefied natural gas, diesel, and crude from far away regions that keep tankers in transit for extended periods and delay return to service for other critical shipping lanes. Shipping experts warn this is sparking the latest surge in global tanker freight rates.

UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has pledged to spend at least £2.3 billion ($2.6 billion) next year on military aid to help Ukraine resist the Russian invasion.

Having committed £2.3 billion in 2022 to Ukraine’s war effort, Britain is already one of the largest military donor to Ukraine, second only to the United States.

As she prepared to fly to New York for the United Nations summit, the prime minister praised Ukrainian troops’ success in taking back around 3,000 square kilometres (1,800 square miles) from Russian hands, and pledged to at least match last year’s military aid.

She said: “Ukraine’s victories in recent weeks have been inspirational. Time and time again these brave people have defied the doubters and showed what they can do when given the military, economic, and political support they need. My message to the people of Ukraine is this: the UK will continue to be right behind you every step of the way. Your security is our security.
