Netflix was heavily criticised last night after British viewers were confronted with a fully erect penis in its new drama.

Viewers, MPs and schools campaigners were shocked at the closing episode of the streaming giant's six-part series A Man In Full.

Actor Tom Pelphrey drops his bedsheet after taking Viagra to reveal himself to co-star Jeff Daniels in the adaptation of Tom Wolfe's best-selling 1998 novel.

It is believed to be the first time a mainstream drama on British TV has broken the 'erect penis' taboo – and there was no prior warning about graphic nudity.

Biden administration officials are said to be offering Israel exact locations of Hamas leaders in a bid to stop the IDF invading the Gazan city of Rafah.

The president has reportedly offered highly-classified information that also includes the locations of Hamas' secret tunnels to try and stave-off what he fears could be a humanitarian catastrophe.

The detailed and sensitive talks serve to illustrate the stakes facing Israel and the U.S. Rafah is the last city in Gaza that has not been bombed by Israel.

Webmaster addition: This feels like nothing more than virtue signaling by Biden, who understands the war in Gaza is working against his re-election.

The Venezuelan government called the military drills of two U.S. planes in Guyana a "provocation" and said the country has "become a new colony" of the North American country.

"The Bolivarian Navy strongly rejects the reiterated provocations by the U.S. Southern Command and approved by the government of Guyana, which has become a new American Colony," said Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López. He added that the country's defense systems are "activated against any attempt to breach the Venezuelan geographical space."

U.S. forces, on their end, had reported that "two F/A-18F Super Hornet jets, aboard the USS George Washington Aircraft Carrier" would conduct the drills "with the collaboration and approval of local authorities."

Starting Friday night into Saturday a series of surreal images and videos have circulated widely showing that whole swathes of northern Israel are literally on fire.

The fires were largely in open field areas, but were very extensive given they were the result of about 35 rockets being fired from Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, targeting the northern city of Kiryat Shmona, which suffered damage.

For several months running there have been a seeming myriad of sometimes contradictory headlines saying a Hamas-Israel truce is "close," or "nearing the finish line" or else "stalled" or also "progressing"... Friday saw truce talks come full circle with the following Hamas statement cited in Reuters:

The Palestinian militant group Hamas said on Friday efforts to agree to a ceasefire for the Gaza Strip were back at square one after Israel effectively rejected a proposal by international mediators.

A high-ranking UK military source has told London's daily Evening Standard newspaper that F-16 fighters will be delivered by the Western allies to Ukraine "within weeks"

The official indicated that the aircraft are due to arrive by June, or at least July at the latest. The US previously authorized NATO countries to supply the US-made fighters to Kiev, at a moment Russia still controls the skies and has been degrading the country's energy infrastructure via frequent attacks. Zelensky previously called the decision by the Biden administration "a breakthrough".

Even small NATO states like Denmark are reportedly involved in handing over a few of its F-16s. Others in the program include the Netherlands, Norway and Belgium. Some of the planes are currently reported to be at a training facility in Romania, as efforts to prepare Ukrainian pilots for aerial combat in the Western fighters appear in their final phases.

A British toddler born with a genetic condition resulting in deafness can now hear in one ear thanks to a pioneering new gene therapy treatment.

The case was reported at the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy’s annual meeting which is taking place this week in Baltimore, MD. The girl—18-month-old Opal Sandy from Oxfordshire—received an experimental treatment for auditory neuropathy, a condition that results from a mutation in a gene called Biallelic otoferlin gene (OTOF), as part of an ongoing clinical trial

As the BBC reports, the mutation results in incorrect development of tiny hairs in the cochlea that are crucial for magnifying sound waves and converting the resultant information into signals that can be passed onto the brain. This results in what the case description describes as “severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss.”

Until now, this hearing loss has been treated with cochlear implants—Opal’s older sister Nora, who also has the genetic mutation, has these in both ears, and Opal herself has one in the ear that didn’t receive the new treatment. While implants bypass the damaged areas to send sound directly to the auditory nerve, the new treatment aims to repair the damage instead. It does so by repairing the faulty gene, which in turn prompts the growth of functional hairs. To do this, the healthy gene is placed into an otherwise inert virus—“a dual adeno-associated virus (AAV1) vector designed for intracochlear delivery of a full-length copy of the human OTOF gene.” This virus, referred to as DB-OTO, is injected into the cochlea, and facilitates the replacement of the faulty gene with the healthy one.

Writing in The Atlantic ahead of the publication of her new book, “Autocracy, Inc.: The Dictators Who Want to Run the World,” Anne Applebaum argues that Russia, China, and “MAGA Republicans” are making “common cause” in an affront to freedom and “liberalism” (clearly used here in the European sense of freedom rather than in the American sense of leftism).

Applebaum cites talk by Russian officials of alleged Western biolabs in Ukraine, subsequently picked up by American social media and the Chinese and Russian state press as evidence of a “joint propaganda effort” between all the above players – as though they deliberately coordinated – that “helped undermine the US-led effort to create solidarity with Ukraine and enforce sanctions against Russia.” According to a YouGov poll, a quarter of Americans believed the theory, she added. Maybe that’s because it seemed like a totally plausible theory given all the lies that the Western establishment has been firehosing onto the average person over the past couple of years about everything from the origin of Covid to the efficacy of authoritarian lockdowns, anti-Covid jabs and mandates?

“They also heard false descriptions of Ukrainians as Nazis, along with claims that Ukraine is a puppet state run by the CIA, and that NATO started the war.” Canada’s Ottawa Citizen, outed NATO countries’ training of Ukrainian neo-Nazis to fight Russia long before the conflict went red-hot in 2022. NBC News wrote in March 2022 that “Ukraine has a Nazi problem.” Guess they work for Russia and China too now? But alright, if she doesn’t like the sound of “CIA puppet state” then she could always go with “State Department outpost.” The notion that NATO started the war by arming and training neo-Nazis on Russia’s border who shelled Russophones in the region for years is the argument that’s generally cited when accusing NATO being responsible for the current mess in the same way that a kid who constantly threatens to punch you in the face could arguably be blamed for setting off a fistfight. That’s not disinformation or fake news – it’s a point of view. Why does Applebaum have such a problem with others who don’t share her perspectives? Sounds kind of… authoritarian.

All 27 EU member states have agreed on security commitments for Ukraine, the German weekly Welt am Sonntag is claiming. The alleged arrangements, which include long-term defense and financial aid for Kiev, are expected to be finalized by July.

The leaders of G7 countries – the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan – signed a joint declaration, each vowing to provide Ukraine with “bilateral security commitments and arrangements,” last July in Lithuania on the sidelines of a NATO summit.

In its article on Saturday, Welt am Sonntag cited a confidential document that has allegedly been approved by representatives of EU member states. Terms are currently being discussed by EU diplomats and the Ukrainian government, the report claims.

With each passing year, the Ukrainian people increasingly realize that they were deceived, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on April 27 on the program Right to Know on channel TVC.

According to the political scientist, the people of Ukraine will understand that they were deceived based on objective facts rather than Russia’s informational activities. The philosopher believes that the understanding that they were cheated is really painful for such a peculiar people as the Ukrainians.

And they have been totally cheated, because they were told, ‘We will fight for you, the Russians will never dare to make a move, we will load you with money, you will live in peace like in Europe, like in paradise. Everything will be wonderful!’ And now they are saying, ‘You must fight until the last Ukrainian. We are paying for your dead bodies (they already specify the exact amount for a dead body), and your leadership will be exterminating you in a merciless and permanent manner, because they are the ones who sell you,’” Sergey Kurginyan explained.

“This evening, Israeli residents set fire twice to the perimeter of the UNRWA Headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem. This took place while UNRWA and other UN Agencies’ staff were on the compound,” UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said on X.

While there were no casualties among the staff, the fire caused extensive damage to the outdoor areas, Lazzarini noted.

“Our director with the help of other staff had to put out the fire themselves as it took the Israeli fire extinguishers and police a while before they turned up,” he said.

“A crowd accompanied by armed men were witnessed outside the compound chanting ‘Burn down the United Nations.’

Recently, EcoHealth’s Peter Daszak testified before a committee of the US House of Representatives on the origins of covid.  After the hearing, the committee recommended that EcoHealth Alliance and Daszak should be criminally investigated and formally debarred.

Who is Peter Daszak?

Peter Daszak is the president of EcoHealth Alliance, a US-based global non-profit that a former vice president has described as “a CIA front organisation.”

And, as Igor Chudov has recently discovered, he was a drunken student who stole a Madonna statue’s head before he went on to kill 6 million people with a deadly virus he designed.

For those who are not familiar with Daszak’s role in the making of the covid bioweapon, we recommend reading previous articles we have published including ‘EcoHealth documents show the development of the covid virus/vaccine bioweapon and the plan to infect populations’ and ‘Biolabs In Ukraine and Common Connections Between Metabiota and EcoHealth’.

On 1 May, Daszak gave testimony in a public hearing before the United States House of Representatives Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. The hearing was focused on the origins of covid-19 and the potential link to a laboratory accident in Wuhan, China.

Daszak had already testified behind closed doors in November 2023 but House Republicans said his testimony contained many discrepancies.

The public hearing earlier this month examined EcoHealth’s use of US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology as well as hold Daszak publicly accountable for any and all discrepancies between his closed-door transcribed interview and available evidence.

On 3 May, the House Committee issued a statement saying that their interim report recommended a criminal investigation into EcoHealth and Daszak and the formal debarment of both, meaning they should be excluded from participating in federal programmes or receiving federal contracts.

Daszak should never again receive funding from the federal government, the statement said.  And, “the Select Subcommittee will take further steps to address Dr. Daszak’s contempt for the American people.”

Claire's Observations:  This couldn't possibly have happened to a more deserving person or group!!!!!

A rampage led by illegal settlers against the village of Duma last month has left a “trail of wreckage,” including approximately $1.3 million in damages, epitomizing the dire situation for Palestinians within all the Israeli occupied territories during the Gaza war.

The leaders of the Duma community told the Associated Press that the Israeli army, Israel Defense Forces (IDF), arrived shortly after the three-hour attack erupted but hardly intervened to stop the mayhem apart from shooting at Palestinians attempting to repulse the settlers as homes and cars were set ablaze.

According to the UN, this pogrom was just one of nearly 800 settler attacks launched against Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank since Israel’s war on Gaza was launched last year. The head of the Duma village council told the AP that at least 15 homes were damaged by arsonists and six villagers were wounded by Israeli gunfire.

The trail of destruction left along Duma’s main road, “highlight the village’s limited resources to clean up and rebuild, let alone defend itself from future incursions, which seem inevitable.”

“The Kyiv regime, in yet another attempt to drag the rest of Europe along with it in the war it is waging against Russia, continues its propaganda of terror” said the Greek media outlet ProNews, citing a tweet shared on the social network X [formerly Twitter] by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The post suggests that Athens is identified as one of the potential targets of the Russian Kh-47M2 Kinzhal [Dagger] missile. The Ministry shared a photo collage indicating that this missile system could reach the Greek capital within 10 minutes if launched by Russia.

“Every country appreciates the value of protecting human life. However, Russian terror knows no bounds. The war may seem far from most European capitals, but it is no further than the range of Dagger missiles,” Zelenskiy’s foreign ministry said in its publication, alongside a map marking Athens among Dagger targets.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip says another Palestinian journalist has been killed in an Israeli airstrike in the besieged coastal sliver, taking the death toll to 143 since the Tel Aviv regime unleashed its military raids, bombardments and missile attacks last October.

Bahaa Okasha, a photojournalist for the Al-Aqsa media network, was killed alongside his wife and children in an Israeli bombing that targeted their house at the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza on Saturday.

The development came less than a week after another Palestinian journalist was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip.

Mustafa Ayad, a photojournalist, lost his life in an attack targeting his house in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City on May 6, the government media office said in a statement at the time.

Hundreds of people have fled regions close to the Russian border in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region following the launch of Moscow’s ground operation to capture the region.

Kharkiv governor Oleg Synegubov announced on Saturday that there had been Russian artillery and mortar attacks on 30 settlements in the region over the past 24 hours.

“A total of 1,775 people have been evacuated,” Synegubov wrote on social media.

According to a high-ranking Ukrainian military official, Russian forces have made progress by one kilometer into Ukraine and are currently attempting to establish a “buffer zone” in the Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, and nearby Sumy regions. This strategic move aims to safeguard Russian territory from potential attacks.

On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that a “fierce battle” was taking place in the region.

The United Nations Security Council has called for an immediate and independent investigation into reported mass graves containing hundreds of Palestinian dead bodies near hospitals in the Gaza Strip amid the Israeli regime’s months-long aggression on the besieged territory.

In a statement on Friday, the 15-member council expressed their “deep concern over reports of the discovery of mass graves in and around the Nasser and al-Shifa medical facilities in Gaza, where several hundred bodies, including women, children and older persons, were buried.”

The members underlined the need for “accountability” for any Israeli violations of international law and called for “unimpeded access to all locations of mass graves in Gaza to conduct immediate, independent, thorough, comprehensive, transparent and impartial investigations.”

The statement comes as some 400 bodies have been recovered at the Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip while around 300 bodies have been discovered at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping has concluded his European tour. While the Western press accuses him of seeking to drive a wedge within the EU, what were his primary objectives?

Chairman Xi Jinping visited France, Serbia, and Hungary during his five-day tour of Europe, with a focus on trade, investments, and promoting a new multipolar vision of global politics.

Xi's meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen coincided with a looming trade war between the EU and China, as well as the bloc's attempts to force Beijing to exert pressure on Russia over its special military operation in Ukraine.

The Chinese leader hasn't shifted his stance towards Moscow, whereas the EU has continued to accuse the People's Republic of what it calls "unfair trade practices". Nonetheless, China and France agreed to enhance cooperation in agri-food, finance, aviation, civil nuclear energy and other fields, as well as reiterate their commitment to a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine.

“Our own future and our security is at stake in Ukraine,” the French leader argued, stressing that in addition to delivering more military equipment to Kiev, EU nations must be “ready to act” if “the Russians are going too far.”

Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg’s paralegal admitted in court on Friday that the office deleted some call records between witness Michael Cohen and Dylan Howard, the lawyer for adult film actress Stormy Daniels (aka Stephanie Cliffords), raising questions of whether or not the prosecutors have misled the court.

Trump’s legal team was able to get witness Jaden Jarmel-Schneider to confirm that some calls were erased from an exhibit of calls. Trump’s lawyer Emil Bove said it was about three pages of records.

While Jarmel-Schneider objected to Bove characterizing the call deletions as “significant,” he did acknowledge some calls were removed.

In an attempt to challenge some of the evidence presented in President Trump’s business records falsification trial in Manhattan, Trump attorney Emil Bove questioned paralegal Jaden Jarmel-Schneider in court on May 10 about approximately three pages of records that the attorney claimed Mr. Bragg’s office deleted.

He knows that any first strike against Russia would spark World War III, but his hot air serves the purpose of boosting Western morale and falsely justifying NATO’s naval buildup in the Baltic Sea, which enriches the military-industrial complex.

Former NATO Supreme Commander Admiral James Stavridis wrote in his latest op-ed for Bloomberg that “Kaliningrad will need to be neutralized” in the event of war with Russia in order to prevent an attack against the Suwalki Corridor.

This is nothing but a bunch of hot air and chest-thumping aimed at boosting Western morale ahead of Russia’s expected military breakthrough across the Donbass front lines. He knows very well that any first strike against Kaliningrad would instantly lead to World War III.

Ukraine: An “Afghanistan” in the Heart of Europe

It’s become fashionable since the start of the special operation for Western commentators to fearmonger about a Russian invasion of NATO, which is meant to manipulate the public into accepting the bloc’s provocative military buildup along its neighbor’s borders on that false pretext. Finland and Sweden’s formal membership in NATO, which followed decades of closely coordinating all aspects of their policies with it as informal members, created fresh narrative opportunities in this respect.

After all, Stavridis’ lede is that the Baltic Sea has since transformed into a “NATO lake”, which he claims is tempting President Putin to meddle in member states’ affairs via cyber and electronic warfare like never before in response to their unprecedentedly large-scale drills there. This scenario closely resembles the one that Bild reported on in January citing allegedly leaked German Defense Ministry documents, which detailed the aggressive steps that Russia will allegedly take against the Baltics from then till May 2025.

Some of them concern ramped-up meddling of the sort that Stavridis regards as inevitable, but the reality is that this report from four months back simply served to precondition the public into accepting this speculation as fact in order to more easily manipulate them for the previously mentioned reasons. His piece in particular aims to generate widespread support for militarizing the Baltic even more than it already is, which is overkill considering the naval mismatch between NATO and Russia there.

It’s precisely because of this grossly lopsided balance of forces that Russia would only resort to nuclear weapons in self-defense as a last resort if Kaliningrad were to become the victim of unprovoked aggression by NATO via a first strike or some other means for strategically “neutralizing” it. This exclave’s primary purpose for Russia is to host its Baltic Fleet, but it’s also intended to deter NATO aggression by functioning as a launchpad for nuclear second strikes deep into Europe in the worst-case scenario.

Considering this, Stavridis’ piece is exposed as a morale-boosting information warfare product, not a practical policy recommendation. Its only importance rests in potentially manipulating more of the Western public into supporting NATO’s provocative military buildup along its neighbor’s borders on the false pretext that Russia is plotting to invade the bloc. Given the “mutually assured destruction” between Russia and the US, this isn’t for strategic purposes, but solely to enrich the military-industrial complex.
