"Fear is a very foolish way to rule a nation, because fear is very tiring over time. No matter how tyrannical the despot, no matter how great the imposed terror; there comes a time when the people simply lack the energy to be afraid any longer, Fear vanishes from the population, and all that is left is blind uncompromising unquenchable rage." -- Michael Rivero

Before the 1800s, scientists were skeptical of the existence of meteorites. Despite historical reports of meteorite sightings in Roman times, the idea of rocks falling from the sky seemed unbelievable to scientists of that era. The prevailing belief was that meteorites were of terrestrial origin, possibly resulting from volcanic activity or, as René Descartes suggested in the 17th century, formed from the fusion of atmospheric dust particles caused by lightning.

Hitler certainly had some grand ideas – from mass murdering the Jews and conquering Europe to rebuilding Berlin and evacuating the Mediterranean. Even when it was generally meant to show how great Nazi Germany was, the Führer and his generals liked to act in style. He also built the world's largest hotel, but the project had to be abandoned because of more pressing matters such as the invasion of France.

The city of Johannesburg, South Africa, was founded in 1884 by Jan Gerrit Bentjes on gold following the discovery of the precious metal on the Witwatersrand. Like any industry, and especially mining, the city suffered many disasters and accidents. However, the events that took place in Braamfontein, a suburb of Johannesburg, in 1896 remain in the memories of residents here, as evidenced by the granite monument in Braamfontein Cemetery, erected in memory of those who lost their lives in the great dynamite explosion. I went.

A powerful Westminster lobby group took money from an organisation with close ties to the State of Israel, it has emerged, reported Declassified UK. Around 80% of Tory MPs are members of Conservative Friends of Israel (CFI) – which is the largest funder of foreign trips for British politicians. Yet CFI’s own source of income has long been shrouded in secrecy, as it does not publicly disclose its donors. Declassified UK revealed that those have included the Jewish Agency and write “That’s a parastatal body in Jerusalem, which is legally required to assist new migrants to Israel.”

Don't worry: there is no chance of it hitting us as it will travel seven times the distance from Earth to the Moon.

NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies estimates the space rock to be between 690 feet and 1,575 feet across.

NASA says lost asteroid 2007 FT3 is unlikely to hit Earth in 2024.

In 1957, the BBC shocked the nation with a prank that redefined the April Fool's prank. Picture this: A picturesque family in the Swiss countryside delicately plucking strands of spaghetti from a tree.

Absurd, right? Nevertheless, this crazy scene aired as an authentic report on BBC's Panorama. Here's the twist: Spaghetti was a culinary mystery to many Britons at the time.

we've all been there.

You're lining up to hit a drive deep into the fairway, and the ball goes almost nowhere.

Brady had that moment on Friday despite being a single-digit handicap.
