"Space science, like nuclear science and all technology, has no conscience of its own. Whether it will become a force for good or ill depends on man. And only if the United-States occupies a position of preeminence can we help decide whether this new ocean will be a sea of peace or a new terrifying theatre of war. I do not say that we should or will go unprotected against the hostile misuse of space, any more than we go unprotected against the hostile use of land or sea. We set sail on this new sea because there is new knowledge to be gained, and new rights to be won, ***and they must be won and used for the progress of all people." -- John F. Kennedy, speech at Rice University, 12 September 1962
Importing Liquified Natural Gas from the US is costing the EU a fortune and leaders across the 27-nation bloc are looking for a better deal.
EU trade ministers met on Monday. They are not happy with Joe Biden's 'Inflation Reduction Act'. It includes state aid for American manufacturers that will put EU car builders at a disadvantage.
This is all happening due to Western sanctions against Russia. Inflation is out of control. We've asked the European Commission why it's not trying to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine.
EU trade ministers accuse Russia of using food as a weapon after Moscow left a UN-negotiated deal to facilitate grain shipments from Ukraine. It follows drone attacks on Russia's Black Sea Fleet near Sevastopol on Saturday. The Kremlin blames Kiev, helped by British experts.
Eurozone inflation has climbed to a new record high of 10.7%. EU leaders are being urged to tackle a growing social crisis in the bloc.
About $6.5 billion from a memorandum with Russian energy giant Gazprom has been converted into a firm contract, a senior Iranian official says.
“God willing, the rest of the memorandum worth $40 billion will be converted into contracts in the next month, and the negotiations are ongoing,” deputy foreign minister for economic diplomacy Mehdi Safari was quoted as saying Monday.
The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Gazprom signed the $40 billion memorandum in July on the day Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Tehran for a summit with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts.
Under the agreement, Gazprom will help NIOC in the development of the Kish and North Pars gas fields and also six oil fields. The Russian gas producer will also be involved in the completion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and construction of gas export pipelines.
US Jewish groups condemned Nazi Halloween costumes on Monday after at least two incidents sparked outrage amid increasing concerns about antisemitism in the US.
In New York City, a man walked into a bar in full Nazi regalia and was ordered to leave by staff and patrons.
In a video of the incident, customers can be heard telling the man, “What is wrong with you?” “Get out of here,” and telling him to leave “for your own safety.”
Webmaster addition: It's just make-believe. One Halloween tradition is to dress up as the antithesis of who you really are. In any event, keep something in Mind. Hitler dreamed of a thousand year Reich and eternal fame. All this fuss over cosplay is giving the SOB exactly what he wanted!
The importance of a strong power grid cannot be emphasized enough. Often, when a grid fails, the results are terrifying. Of all the major power grids in the world, the United States’ is one of the more vulnerable to attack.
State-sponsored hackers from the likes of Iran, Russia, and, unsurprisingly, China pose a real threat to the United States’ electrical transmission lines. However, there’s another (far less obvious) threat to the grid: electric vehicles (EVs).
Yes, you read that right.
The Biden administration is desperate to consign the internal combustion engine to the dustbin of history. In this radical shift to embrace a new, zero-emission world, Americans are being told to embrace EVs. Such an embrace, however, requires a stellar power grid, the very thing the United States lacks.
Just to be clear, the U.S. power grid (or electric grid) involves a huge network of transmission lines, power plants, and distribution centers. The United States has three major grids: the Eastern Grid, the Western Grid, and the ERCOT Grid, otherwise known as the Texas Grid. Of the three, the Eastern Grid is the largest.
Although the three grids can operate independently, they’re also connected. A failed grid means no power for tens of millions of citizens and prolonged periods of darkness. Imagine a power grid failure in the likes of Los Angeles or New York. The two cities are already riddled with crime; grid failures would make things many times worse.
Renewable energy stocks are having a hard time, even in the middle of Europe’s energy crisis. It seems that the sector needs central banks to take their foot off the gas in hiking interest rates, but it may have to wait a little longer.
The European Renewables Index has lost most of its summer outperformance over the wider Stoxx Europe 600 Index. Since a year-to-date peak in August, renewable stocks have fallen 20%, and only real estate has performed worse. They’ve recovered a bit since Oct. 12 thanks to expectations for a change in tone from central banks, but are again at risk of disappointing investors if the Federal Reserve remains hawkish with a jumbo rate hike this Wednesday.
The stepped-up measures from the UK's chief veterinary officer make the housing measures a legal requirement, and are accompanied by stringent biosecurity measures to protect flocks from disease, Sky News reports.
On Monday, President Biden’s special envoy for Iran, Robert Malley, said the US isn’t going to “waste its time” on talks with Tehran to revive the nuclear deal and would use a military option as a “last resort” against Iran.
Negotiations between the US and Iran on the nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA, have been stalled since early September. The Biden administration hasn’t officially said it’s done with the talks, but Malley’s comments are the surest sign that diplomacy between Washington and Tehran is dead.
Many experts expect public anger over inflation to enable Republicans to regain a majority in the US House of Representatives and maybe the Senate in next week’s midterm elections.
However, even if every close Senate race broke in Republicans’ favor, and the new Republican majority was determined to pass a pro-liberty agenda, there still would not be the votes to override President Biden’s vetoes, or Chuck Schumer’s filibusters.
The Michigan football player who was violently attacked by several Michigan State players following the game between the two teams at The Big House in Ann Arbor over the weekend is filing criminal charges against those responsible for the incident.
Much has been written to hypothesise why there has been a majority of the global populace, that have been hoodwinked by the propaganda assault of late, or those that have chosen to be willfully ignorant of self-evident truths. Rather than overly citing specific examples of the fallacies and outright fabrications of realities crafted and spun by governments, this post shall explore the theories and the philosophical questions surrounding why so many have rushed towards pseudoscience and authoritarianism.
For context on examples of the masses’ unshakeable belief systems towards approved narratives and consensus, please delve into a previous post that provides a light-hearted look at anecdotal instances, to describe the mindset of what I ‘endearingly’ termed to be The NPC Community.
American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten faced heavy scrutiny after publicizing her support for an article published Monday, which called on its readers to declare “amnesty” for spreading misinformation during the COVID pandemic.
British scientists intentionally created hybrid Covid strains in risky experiments judged to be like 'playing with fire', MailOnline can reveal.
Hamsters were infected with mutant viruses, blends of the original Wuhan strain and parts of either Omicron or Delta.
Critics of the research, carried out by Imperial College London, called it 'insanity' and warned the lab trials could, in theory, unleash a new viral threat. Twenty scientists were involved in the project, including one who sits on the Government's advisory panel SAGE.
Socialist Lula da Silva allegedly defeated Jair Bolsonaro in the election Sunday. On Tuesday morning, Joe Hoft of The Gateway Pundit reported that Brazil is the latest country to have their election stolen using the “Drop and Roll” method of electoral fraud.
The election in Brazil is very similar to the 2020 Presidential Election in the US. Like President Trump in 2020, the conservative candidate Bolsonaro’s party picked up numerous lower house seats and governorships across the country. It was a conservative wave, with the exception of the presidential race.
David DePape pleaded not guilty Tuesday to all charges in his first court appearance on Tuesday. DePape pleaded not guilty to the numerous charges against him in the alleged Paul Pelosi attack on Friday morning.
DePape appeared in court with a sling on his arm. He was not shackled for some reason.
It's become routine since Russia invaded Ukraine: President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy speak by phone whenever the U.S. announces a new package of military assistance for Kyiv.
But a phone call between the two leaders in June played out differently from previous ones, according to four people familiar with the call. Biden had barely finished telling Zelenskyy he'd just greenlighted another $1 billion in U.S. military assistance for Ukraine when Zelenskyy started listing all the additional help he needed and wasn't getting. Biden lost his temper, the people familiar with the call said. The American people were being quite generous, and his administration and the U.S. military were working hard to help Ukraine, he said, raising his voice, and Zelenskyy could show a little more gratitude.
A new report details how Pennsylvania taxpayers have been forced to cover “sex reassignment” surgeries and related services, to the tune of over $16.7 million since Governor Tom Wolf took office in 2015.
“This level of state-endorsed harm upon children is reprehensible,” stated Alexis Sneller with the Pennsylvania Family Institute. “While we knew the Wolf administration was funding services related to these irreversible procedures on minors, now seeing the exact numbers — millions spent towards these detrimental acts — is still shocking.”
Through a Right-To-Know request submitted by the Pennsylvania Family Institute, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services revealed that to date, since 2015, over $16.7 million in tax dollars has been used from Pennsylvania Medical Assistance “on sex reassignment and transition related services and drugs for service.”
U.S. Treasury Department officials are reportedly looking at whether they have the legal authority to investigate Elon Musk’s recent purchase of Twitter due to his close ties to foreign governments and investors, which includes entities that are hostile to the United States.
The 1844 short story by American author Edgar Allen Poe, The Purloined Letter, tells of a stolen letter of the French Queen being used to blackmail her by an unscrupulous minister. When Paris police search the house of the suspected thief meticulously without result, a friend of the chief inspector is able to find the purloined document by looking for it, “hidden in plain sight.”
So it is with what is without doubt the most brazen and criminal conspiracy of modern times, the Davos Great Reset. Everything is there, open for anyone with patience to wade through the pages of WEF press releases and web pages. Notable is that the global players, the Davos “cadre” carefully chosen over the past thirty years to be groomed for positions of power to implement the Great Reset agenda, are openly named on the Davos website, found with a little patient searching. Partial lists have appeared naming a small handful of the Davos “Young Global Leaders.” A more exhaustive search of some 1400 names in the annual cadre school classes since 1992 reveals an astonishing, detailed conspiracy. The WEF website states the global leaders are “trained to be aligned with the World Economic Forum’s mission,” to “drive public-private co-operation in the global public interest.”
The following is the result of reviewing every WEF class of future global leaders since 1993.
Having personally lived through what may be among the most intensive slander, defamation and derision campaigns of the COVIDcrisis, none of what was described in this article surprised me. I think that I can probably guess the names of some of the interviewed physicians and medical scientists discussed in the article, as so many have shared their own experiences with me. But seeing it written out in a dry academic style and published like a case series study of global corporate, organizational and governmental psychopathology and greed is another thing altogether. I expected the article to bring a tear of relief at being heard and validated, but instead it just left me numb.
The publication summarized much of what I have personally experienced (and by way of disclosure of conflict of interest, I was mentioned as an example in the introduction, although I did not participate in the survey). Much but not all. It missed the ubiquitous Wikipedia re-writing of personal history (and in my case, writing me out of the history of nine of my issued US patents).
It missed Amazon deleting the very credible and well referenced book on “Prepare and protect from the novel Coronavirus” which Dr. Jill Glasspool-Malone PhD (Biotechnology and Public Policy) had worked so hard to publish in the first week of February 2020 - with the only explanation being that it “violated community standards”.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered counties to not count any ballots that are in undated or incorrectly dated envelopes in the upcoming Nov. 8 elections, siding with national and state Republican groups in a lawsuit filed just over two weeks ago.
“The Pennsylvania county boards of elections are hereby ORDERED to refrain from counting any absentee and mail-in ballots received for the November 8, 2022 general election that are contained in undated or incorrectly dated outer envelopes,” the court said in its order (pdf).
