"It will give us, for a course of years, good government and then only end, due to the corruption of the people, in despotism, which will be the only form of government suitable for them." -- Benjamin Franklin on the Constitution Philadelphia, 1789.
The battle for control of the Senate was being fought in Nevada on Friday night, as the Republican challenger's lead narrowed to just 826 votes - with more votes expected to arrive at counting centers on Saturday.
Under Nevada law, votes postmarked on Election Day - Tuesday - can still be counted if they arrive four days later, on Saturday.
With 94 percent of the ballots counted in Nevada, Adam Laxalt, a former co-chair of Donald Trump's Nevada campaign, had 48.5 percent of the vote.
Disney looks set to become the next major corporation to freeze hiring and cut job after a second straight quarter losing over $1billion.
The news comes after a quarter where, despite their subscription gains, the company continues to lose in the streaming market, nearly doubling their fall year-on-year to $1.47 billion.
Disney CEO Bob Chapek addressed the memo to Disney's division leaders, saying the company is instituting a targeted hiring freeze and anticipates 'some small staff reductions' as it looks to manage costs.
Former President Donald Trump on Friday night blasted election officials in Arizona as yet another of his candidates lost a Senate race and Republican keep up their accusations that his medaling could have cost them control of the upper chamber.
The suit contends that, while former presidents have voluntarily agreed to provide testimony or documents in response to congressional subpoenas in the past, 'no president or former president has ever been compelled to do so.'
'Long-held precedent and practice maintain that separation of powers prohibits Congress from compelling a President to testify before it,' Trump attorney David A. Warrington said in a statement announcing Trump's intentions.
The sudden collapse of crypto exchange "FTX" and its Bankruptcy filing today, has revealed that FTX presently suffers from $10-$50 BILLION in liabilities with almost ZERO assets . . . and among those liabilities, are "investments" made by . . . . UKRAINE . . . .
At this early hour, it __appears__ that tens-of-billions in American "Military Aid" to Ukraine, which was allegedly to be used to fight Russia, was cash that Ukraine DID NOT use to fight Russia, but instead invested into FTX!
And, as you might guess from the Bankruptcy filing . . . . it now seems that all the money . . . is gone.
Gina Swoboda, an elections expert helping the Kari Lake campaign, offered a very encouraging report on Friday concerning the votes yet to be counted in the Arizona governor’s race.
Swoboda told “Real America’s Voice” host Charlie Kirk that 351,000 Republicans who are four-out-of-four voters — meaning they voted in the last four primary and general elections — have not had their votes in Tuesday’s election tabulated yet.
Kirk noted that these are “very high-propensity” Republicans who have not yet had their ballots counted.
We have been gradually squeezing the nice mild air out of our state throughout Friday. Have warm winter clothing on hand for the weekend as well below normal temperatures are expected. We’re also tracking some snow for Saturday as well.
Friday night: We are in for a much colder night with lows falling into the low 30s. There is the chance for some snow showers to start working into southwestern Indiana closer to daybreak.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops from parts of Kherson to form defensive positions on the left bank of the Dnepr River, after commander of all Russian forces in Ukraine Sergei Surovikin warned of Kiev's plans to launch a massive missile attack on a local dam and indiscriminate strikes on civilians.
Speaking with Sputnik, Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer, has explained why the decision to relocate Russian troops to the left bank of the Dnepr River shouldn't be viewed as a "Russian defeat," but rather as a "pyrrhic Ukrainian victory."
Sputnik: What are the main reasons for the Russian withdrawal from parts of Kherson? Is this a reasonable move, given circumstances such as the approaching winter?
"It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." -- Joseph Stalin
Following the Florida election debacle of 2000, Americans were promised a more honest, transparent, and verifiable system of elections. We didn't get it, because the election stealers won that election and decided that keeping the current system was their best guarantee of re-election.
The election of 2016 changed that. The candidate being cheated by the system, Donald Trump, still prevailed thanks to a landslide that overcame the vote rigging. He will see having an honest election system as his best chance for a second term. Hence, there is a real opportunity to throw out the current system, whch is designed to enable and conceal stealing elections, and replace it with a system that hinders cheating as much as possible.
To begin, stolen elections are a reality in this nation. John F. Kennedy stole the 1960 election from Richard Nixon. Nixon stole his re-election in what became known as the Watergate scandal. George W. Bush likely stole the 2000 election from Al Gore, and everyone had a ring-side seat watching Hillary Clinton trying to steal the election from Donald Trump.
A good place to start to learn about election stealing is the HBO documentary, "Hacking Democracy." It is available on NetFlix, Amazon Live, and Hulu. Here is a YouTube video of the final scenes showing how an electronic voting machine has the election results changed without even needing to touch the machine!
A large earthquake hit Tonga on Friday, triggering a tsunami warning and an immediate evacuation order from the government of the island nation.
The government initially asked locals to flee to high ground following what it said was a 7.9 magnitude earthquake originating near the town of Neiafu, on the island of Vava’u, before downgrading the alert and urging the public to take “special caution.”
“Based on tide gauge observation in Tonga, a tsunami wave of 10 centimeters was recorded in Neiafu, Vava’u, 6 centimeters in Niuatoputapu and 5 centimeters recorded in Nuku’alofa tide gauge at 1 a.m. this morning,” the government declared in its latest statement.
Maricopa County has admitted in a new statement that 70 out of 223 voting centers were impacted by the election day debacle, where tabulators failed the moment that polls opened on Tuesday.
The Gateway Pundit reported that tabulators in Republican districts across Maricopa County were not working when the polls opened at 6 am, and voters were being told to place their ballots in a separate bin referred to as “box 3” to be counted later on.
Those US and British politicians who are bashing Russia for foreign “election meddling” could use a more honest set of talking points. It is Israel, not Russia, China, or North Korea, that hosts a blossoming industry of cyber-election meddlers who operate from corporate offices in Tel Aviv, Cyprus, London, Washington, and Tortola.
Most, if not all, of these firms, received their start-up funds from Israeli government-backed business development venture capital funds, some of which are solidly linked to right-wing American financiers like Robert Mercer, Paul Singer, Sheldon Adelson, and Donald Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The US media, subjected to a constant barrage of pressure from the all-powerful Israel Lobby, has refrained from reporting that when it comes to provable election meddling, including social media campaigns to smear politicians, Israel has become the “go to” place for politicians to seek election victory through guile and deceit.
The melodrama of the 2022 midterms elections has not been enough to quell outrage over The Atlantic’s now infamous call for so-called “pandemic amnesty” last month. Even as election results pour in, the issue is trending on Twitter, with users posting pictures and videos of the very worst of the COVID era with captions like “No pandemic amnesty” and “Never forget.”
The notion of pandemic amnesty is predicated on the claim that all of the horrors seen around the world under the pretext of fighting the pandemic were just honest mistakes.
But let’s be clear: The misery and abuse inflicted on the world population by the power-drunk elites and their puppets in the political class were not honest mistakes.
Honest mistakes do not include killing nursing home residents by forcing COVID-positive hospital patients into their rooms with them, as did Govs. Andrew Cuomo in New York, Phil Murphy in New Jersey and Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan.
An Indiana poll worker was removed from his early voting site in Carmel, Indiana, last week amid charges that he told two Black voters that Republican school board candidates were racists.
Beth Sheller, administrator for the Hamilton County Elections office, said that poll worker James Zheng’s comments resulted in his ejection from the election office.
Even further, county GOP Chairman Mario Massillamany accused Zheng of pretending to assist voters by pre-selecting the Democratic candidates across their entire ballot. Voters complained to officials that they did not know how to reverse what Zheng had done.
