"It will give us, for a course of years, good government and then only end, due to the corruption of the people, in despotism, which will be the only form of government suitable for them." -- Benjamin Franklin on the Constitution Philadelphia, 1789.
Update (1535ET): Former President Trumphas called for protests over voting irregularities across the country.
"The Absentee Ballot situation in Detroit is REALLY BAD. People are showing up to Vote only to be told, “sorry, you have already voted," Trump wrote on Truth social. "This is happening in large numbers, elsewhere as well. Protest, Protest, Protest!"

... the mass layoff wave has finally come to the even-better paid Wall Street where, as Bloomberg reports, Citigroup is the first bank to eliminate dozens of jobs across its investment banking division this week.
A Georgia judge on Monday agreed to have the ballot return deadline extended for about 1,000 Cobb County absentee voters who didn’t have their requested mail ballots sent out by elections officials.
The consent order (pdf) from Cobb County Superior Court Judge Kellie Hill means that the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration will send replacement ballots to the 1,046 affected voters overnight on Monday.
It also means that the absentee ballots have a return deadline of Nov. 14, although the ballots must be postmarked and out in the mail by Election Day, Nov. 8, to be counted.
Nov. 15 is the date that counties in Georgia, a battleground state, must certify their election results.
The Homeland Security Department is now fielding questions from the public after new information reveals that they paid for hotel rooms and laundry service for illegal immigrants.
America First Legal is a conservative organization made up of top Trump aides. America First Legal obtained documents through an open records request that revealed some of this information. They found in these records that illegal immigrants were offered meat at every meal, 24-hour access to snacks and drinks, babysitters, television programming in English and Spanish, and even their choice of mattresses for their beds. All of this was paid for on the taxpayer's dime!
Perhaps it’s reflected in the fact that Florida seems to have its election results come in smoothly and quickly, while almost every other state lags. But Florida represents the culmination of a conservative dream
If it is not Covid, it’s the flu… The U.S. has “crossed the epidemic threshold” when it comes to flu, federal health officials said Friday, as they outlined plans to deploy troops and FEMA personnel, and supplies like ventilators, if needed, in response to a nationwide surge of respiratory illnesses that also includes RSV and COVID.
U.S. flu hospitalizations are higher now than they’ve been at this point in every other flu season since 2010-2011, officials with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on a press call.
The country is seeing a resurgence of non-COVID respiratory illnesses like flu, RSV, rhinovirus, and enterovirus, with background levels of COVID, according to Dr. José Romero, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.
The Justice Department's announcement that it was deploying federal agents to monitor polls nationwide during Tuesday's midterm elections was purportedly meant to assuage fears of intimidation at polling places. However, the move largely had the opposite effect, according to election experts who spoke to Just the News, stirring concerns that the department's presence was unnecessary and counterproductive — in large part due to its own actions since President Biden took office.
"Unfortunately, the Justice Department of late has acted in a fashion that has diminished faith in the institution," said former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline, an election integrity expert who founded the Amistad Project. "There's an abiding concern that this DOJ is not focused on the law or impartiality but partisanship. Local officials are concerned that federal authorities are failing to recognize the constitutional authority placed in the states to protect their own elections and ensure their own voting processes are carried out."
National Guard cyber units in at least 14 states are deployed in an attempt to protect election security during Tuesday’s midterm elections, according to the National Guard Bureau and multiple media reports.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told company executives that layoffs would begin Wednesday morning, laying the blame for the company’s missteps at his own feet, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing anonymous sources familiar with the matter.
The Pueblo Police Department (Pueblo PD) announced the arrest of Richard Patton, 31, for election crimes after he was determined to have tampered with a voting machine back in June. Officers took Patton into custody on Nov. 3 and subsequently detained without bond at the Pueblo County Judicial Center.
According to a CBS News report, poll workers heard noises coming from a voting booth during the June 28 primary elections after Patton cast his vote. “When a poll worker went to investigate and clean the machine, they saw an error message and notified a supervisor,” the report added. “Tamper-evident seals on the machine appeared to be disturbed, [and it] was immediately taken out of service for inspection.”
Gilbert Ortiz, Pueblo County clerk and recorder, recounted the events leading to the discovery of Patton’s tampering.
An illegal alien accused of killing a 77-year-old Army National Guard veteran has become the face of a ballot initiative in Massachusetts where voters will decide whether to grant driver’s licenses to illegal aliens — turning the state’s roads into a sanctuary.
In May, Gov. Charlie Baker (R) vetoed the legislation that allows eligible illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses in Massachusetts. Democrats, with majorities in the state legislature, overrode Baker’s veto, putting the legislation on track to become law in 2023.
As Breitbart News chronicled, grassroots activists worked to get the law on this year’s midterm election ballot — known as Question 4 — so that Massachusetts voters can decide on Tuesday whether they want to give driver’s licenses to illegal aliens.
Everton Candido, a 19-year-old illegal alien from Brazil, has quickly become the face of the ballot initiative after he was arrested for allegedly killing 77-year-old Walter Wishoski Jr., a veteran of the Army National Guard who was born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts.
Candido, who was driving without a license, allegedly killed Wishoski in a fatal crash.
With many regions of the country reporting record turnouts for midterm elections on Tuesday, what we’ve also seen is an alarmingly large number of problems with voting machines, tabulators, and cyberattacks.
The problems began early in Maricopa County, Ariz., for instance, where reports claimed that one-in-five polling sites, or 20 percent, were experiencing “‘issues’ with tabulation machines just hours after Election Day polls opened,” reported Fox News Digital.
“This started with a single location. Then a few. Now, it’s sounding as if this is widespread and very serious,” he began in a post containing a video clip of what appears to be an election official explaining that voters who could not get a machine to accept their ballot could simply drop them off in a box to be ‘counted later.’
President Trump lit into reports that Maricopa County, Arizona has been having vote tabulation problems on Tuesday, declaring that the “people will not stand for it!!!”
“Reports are coming in from Arizona that the Voting Machines are not properly working in predominantly Republican/Conservative areas,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Can this possibly be true when a vast majority of Republicans waited for today to Vote? Here we go again? The people will not stand for it!!!”
The Kiev government is in the process of orchestrating a provocation involving a dirty bomb or a nuclear power plant incident, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov said in an article published on Wednesday.
"Today we face the threat of a radiation disaster. Kiev is planning to commit a provocation by exploding a 'dirty bomb.' Detonation of such radiological explosive device will have the magnitude comparable to an explosion of a low-yield nuclear weapon. The blast wave will disperse radioactive substances over the area of up to several thousand square meters. Contaminated territories will turn into an exclusion zone for 30-50 years," the ambassador said in an article, posted on the embassy’s official Telegram channel.
According to him, the task of creating a dirty bomb was assigned to two Ukrainian organizations.
Here is how useless sanctions are: Bloomberg reports that the U.S. government is actually asking big banks to keep working with Russia so that the economy doesn’t collapse. Isn’t that an admission that sanctions are a decorative sham, only made to let politicians grandstand? I would say it is. Watch the banks basically admit that the government is letting them out of their "tough talk" sanctions as they let everyone else suffer.
