According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the prevalence of autism among U.S. children has risen significantly in recent years. While 6.7 in 1,000 children were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in 2000, that number had risen to 27.6 in 1,000 children by 2020. This means that currently 1 in 36 children in the U.S. get diagnosed with ASD, up from 1 in 150 children 20 years ago.

The reasons for this increase in prevalence are not fully understood and likely complex. Some possible factors that have been proposed include better awareness and screening for autism, changes in diagnostic criteria and environmental or genetic factors. Regardless of the reasons, this rise in the number of children with autism highlights the importance of early identification and intervention to help children with ASD reach their full potential.

It’s not just Florida where this is happening. I encountered this before out of Ohio. In Ohio what they were doing was to register their vehicles in a company name. Now, the owner of the company (often in landscaping or drywall) would be an illegal alien and unable to get a driver’s license, but nothing said that he couldn’t register a vehicle despite not being in the country legally. Florida may have passed some tough measures against illegal aliens that does things like preventing them from getting driver’s licenses, but nothing says they cannot register their vehicles in their own names. So, they are doing that—with the help and encouragement of the Mexican Consulate.

I spent a lot of time running license plates when I was on the job, so, this is actually a useful tool in identifying illegal aliens.

A former member of the Israeli spy agency has described as “futile” the regime’s ongoing war in the besieged Gaza Strip, stressing that Tel Aviv is on the losing end.

Ram Ben-Barak, a member of the Israeli parliament who served as deputy director of the Mossad, made the remarks in an interview with Israeli public radio on Saturday.

“This war lacks a clear objective, and it’s evident that we’re unequivocally losing it,” Ben-Barak said.

“We are forced to engage in fighting in the same areas and end up losing more soldiers. We’re also facing setbacks on the international stage, our relations with the US deteriorating significantly, and the Israeli economy in decline,” he said.

“Show me one thing we have succeeded in,” Ben-Barak added.

His remarks came after al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, said they have killed 15 Israeli soldiers east of the Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah earlier in the day.

According to Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida, in the past 10 days, Palestinian fighters have targeted 100 Israeli military vehicles, including tanks, armored personnel carriers as well as bulldozers. They have inflicted heavy casualties on Israeli soldiers by blowing up tunnels, launching rockets and mortars, and through sniping and close-quarters combat.

wrongthink —Beliefs or opinions that run contrary to the prevailing or mainstream orthodoxy.

Synonyms: badthink, thought crime

Usage notes

With its Orwellian roots, use of the word implies that freedom of opinion is being suppressed.

NFL star Harrison Butker has come under withering criticism and calls for his expulsion from the NFL for espousing the virtues of marriage and family at a commencement address. Here is the text of his address.

We have entered Orwell’s 1984. This is a Satanic Jewish solipsism (Communism, wokeness) that is being imposed on Reality with the purpose of inverting good and evil, truth and lies, and enslaving the human race. People must adhere to this false narrative or face derision and joblessnes.

Other examples of “wrongthink.” Europeans have the right to be a majority in their own countries. The Israeli genocide of Gaza is disproportionate and based on a false flag. “There are only two genders.” etc. (Boy suspended for wearing a shirt that said this.)

A Congolese man who was previously held up as an example of successful migrant integration has been jailed for only nine years in Germany for raping his own mother and beating her almost to death.

The German outlet Nuis reports that 30-year-old Moise Lohombo was sentenced by the Wiesbaden District Court, with the judge barely being able to believe what he had read in the case file.

The report notes that Lohombo, just been released from prison for drug offences last August, returned to an apartment he shared with his mother, who is only 12 years older than him, and proceeded to threaten her at knifepoint to have sex with him.

In an act of desperation, the mother offered him money to spend on a prostitute, the report further notes.

Lohombo then proceeded to rape his own mother while punching her repeatedly in the face. He then called an ambulance and fled.

It is extremely difficult to discern what might be the thinking behind the clueless President Joe Biden and his Blinken-Austin-Mayorkas foreign-policy-plus national security team. Or rather, the problem is that there does not appear to be any thinking about it at all if one measures it by what benefits it brings to the American people. It all actually seems to derive from a desire to construct a narrative that will win the presidential election coming up in November, which will fortunately be run against a deeply flawed GOP candidate named Donald J. Trump. But look at what is on the Biden record: the country’s southern border with Mexico is a porous as a Swiss cheese, allowing literally millions of illegal immigrants into the USA since Biden took office; Washington is both de facto and de jure simultaneously fighting and losing two unnecessary wars involving nuclear powers which has cost a nearly bankrupt Treasury well into the hundreds of billions of dollars; and the White House is needlessly sanctioning non-hostile competitors like China while also making illegal popular social media sites like TikTok which have committed the sin of reporting and disseminating accurate narratives about good old “best friend and closest ally” Israel. Predictably, neither of the assertions about the value of the Jewish state is true, nor is it a democracy, but who cares when you’re having fun shooting people and spending someone else’s money?

A popular French radio station has claimed that Turkey is suspected of stirring unrest in the overseas French territory of New Caledonia, an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean near Australia.

"Both Azerbaijan and Turkey are suspected of exploiting the Caledonian separatists," Europe 1 reported on Wednesday. "It is no longer a secret for the DGSI [French intelligence], which sees the hand of Baku or Ankara behind the Caledonian separatists."

Unrest erupted on the islands on Monday after French lawmakers pushed forward plans to allow citizens who have lived in New Caledonia for at least 10 years to vote in the territory’s elections.

Rescuers in Iran are trying to reach a helicopter involved in "an incident" while traveling with an entourage including President Ebrahim Raisi, state television reported Sunday.

Iranian state television says helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi had a 'hard landing'. There was no immediate elaboration on what happened to the helicopter, nor who was on board. Semiofficial news agencies offered varying explanations for what was happening.

Raisi had been in Azerbaijan early Sunday to inaugurate a dam with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev. The dam is the third one that the two nations built on the Aras River.

Iranian state media has reported the incident occurred near Jolfa, a border city around 375 miles north west of capital, Tehran.

Iran flies a variety of helicopters in the country, but international sanctions make it difficult to obtain parts for them. Its military air fleet also largely dates back to before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The billionaire owner of Total Wine left his House seat in Maryland’s 6th district to run for Senator. On Tuesday night, he lost the Democratic primary to George’s County executive Angela Alsobrooks by double digits.

Trone pumped more than $60 million into his campaign, spending almost ten times more than Alsobrooks.

In Congress, Trone was a staunch opponent of the BDS movement and even stopped donating to the ACLU over their defense of boycotts. He was an AIPAC donor, contributing at least $100,000 to the lobbying organization every year.

ou’ve heard the latest about Ukraine, right? It turns out that a good chunk of the billions upon billions we’re funneling over to them are actually going into “get rich quick” scams. Who woulda thunk it, right? Well, Revolver sure did.

Revolver:

According to reports, officials in Kharkiv have been using our hard-earned US tax dollars in a get-rich-quick scheme with fictitious companies. But your government is keeping quiet about this. The Biden regime would rather have you believe that Ukraine still stands a chance to win this conflict.

Spoiler alert: They don’t.

[…]

Antony Blinken is desperately hoping you don’t find out where your money is actually going in Ukraine, which is probably why he looks like a deer caught in headlights.

The Navy’s top acquisition official told lawmakers this week his service has three projects — including one from the Marine Corps — involved in Replicator, a Pentagon effort to quickly field large numbers of uncrewed systems.

“The Navy has been very supportive of Replicator,” Nickolas Guertin, assistant Secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition, said at a May 15 hearing. “We actually brought two Navy, one Marine Corps project to the first tranche of replicator in partnership with the [Office of the Secretary of Defense.]”

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Guertin meant that the service had proposed three projects or that all were selected. A Navy spokesman refused to clarify his statement or comment further on the systems, as did a spokesman for Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks, who’s leading Replicator.

An Army plan to modernize its artillery could include howitzers fielded in Europe, automated cannons, and long-range mortars, Army Futures Command chief Gen. James Rainey suggested Thursday at a Senate hearing.

“There are some very good wheeled howitzers that are having great effect in a place like Europe,” said Rainey, speaking while describing acquisition plans informed by an Army study on artillery modernization, also dubbed the tactical fires study.

The U.S. is planning on a competition between various mobile artillery systems this summer to select a new self-propelled howitzer. The competition follows the cancellation of the Extended Range Cannon Artillery (ERCA) howitzer.

Rainey may have been referring to artillery systems fielded in Ukraine, the only place in Europe where wheeled howitzers are being used in combat.

Ukraine uses a number of wheeled howitzers, including France’s Caesar, Sweden’s Archer, and the domestically produced 2S22 Bohdana. The Caesar has performed well on the battlefield, with losses of less than 10 percent amid frequent Russian drone strikes on Ukrainian artillery.

The Army remains on track to deliver a “composite” missile-defense battalion that will become part of an integrated defense system for Guam, the commander of 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command said Wednesday. Guam is the test ground for the composite-battalion approach the Army will use to integrate its missile-defense capabilities, primarily the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, and Patriot systems. “I can’t comment on the exact timeline, but the Army remains on track on the commitments that they’ve made to [U.S. Indo-Pacific Command] to deliver capability on time,” Brig. Gen. Patrick Costello said during a question-and-answer session at the Land Forces Pacific, or LANPAC, symposium on Waikiki Beach.

A barely detectable speck appears near a beaming, late afternoon sun and then dodges behind a cloud. Soon that small speck, as it makes its slow descent, takes the form of a sleek, small unmanned aircraft.

The aircraft makes a quiet, delicate landing along the runway of a remote island airfield in the Philippines in the temporarily breezeless, scorching heat. The platform — a Kraus Hamdani Aerospace K1000 — had spent the majority of the day flying above the South China Sea and collecting data for the Extended Range Sensing and Effects Company, which is part of the U.S. Army’s 1st Multi-Domain Task Force.

Here in the Philippines, the 1st MDTF is using the Balikatan military exercise to experiment with its structure and identify the assets that will best serve joint and coalition forces in situations where adversaries can deny regional access. The bilateral drill between the American and Philippine armed forces took place April 11-May 9.

The ERSE Company set up camp in Basco, a volcanic island in the Batanes island chain north of the Philippines’ largest island of Luzon. On a clear day from certain high points on the island, one can see Taiwan.

On Friday, the New York Times reported that over the last several weeks and in recent days, high-level Ukrainian government officials have been pressing the Biden administration to provide sensitive intelligence information that would allow the far-right regime to launch military strikes deep within Russian territory.

While the US already provides Ukraine with some intelligence on the positions of Russian forces on the border, the Times reported that Ukrainians are pushing the Biden administration for more “real-time intelligence” so that drones and guided missile strikes could more easily evade Russian air defenses.

This is the second report in as many days from the Times, a conduit of the Pentagon and intelligence agencies, that provide a glimpse into the well-advanced NATO plans for escalating the war against Russian in Ukraine. On Thursday, US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles Q. Brown told the paper that the NATO alliance would “eventually” send combat troops to Ukraine, describing it as “inevitable.”

It should be noted that when Israel launched its operation into Gaza, Prime Minister Netanyahu assured Israelis that “total victory” was only “weeks away”..

More than six months after Netanyahu’s initial prediction, Israel is far from “total victory”.

Instead, with hundreds of Israeli soldiers killed in an inconclusive campaign, Israel now has to face the prospect of a bloody stalemate, at best. If not defeat and maybe even the end of Israel as a viable nation state, at worst,.

This may explains why the following report from a Zionist owned news outlet makes wildly over-estimated claims about Hamas losses. As when it reports that “it is fair to assume that from each battalion of 1,000 (Hamas) people, some 300 would have escaped”.

Dr. Robert Redfield, former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said Thursday that many officials who tried to warn the public about potential problems with COVID-19 vaccines were pressured into silence and that it’s high time to admit that there were “significant” side effects that made people sick.

Dr. Redfield made the remarks in a May 16 interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, during which he lamented the loss of public confidence in public health agencies because of a lack of transparency around the vaccines, which he said “saved a lot of lives” but also made some people “quite ill.”

Those of us that tried to suggest there may be significant side effects from vaccines ... we kind of got canceled because no one wanted to talk about the potential that there was a problem from the vaccines, because they were afraid that that would cause people not to want to get vaccinated,” Dr. Redfield said.

In his role as head of the CDC, Dr. Redfield was part of the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed, a project to surge COVID-19 vaccine development at a time during the pandemic when little was known about the virus and rapid vaccine rollout was widely seen as key to getting the outbreak under control and lockdowns lifted.

In September 2020, a few months before the first COVID-19 vaccines were given in the United States, Dr. Redfield testified before the Senate that COVID-19 represented the “most significant public health challenge to face our nation in more than a century,” and that the prevailing view among scientists at the time was that the overall case fatality rate of the disease was somewhere between 0.4 and 0.6 percent in the United States.

While global coverage of the Gaza crisis has focused on the Israeli offensive in the southern city of Raffah of late, fierce battles have erupted in the north of the Strip over the last several days, especially in Jabalia, where the IDF military is in a fierce anti-insurgent style battle set amid narrow alleyways.

The city which lies 2.5 miles north of Gaza City saw a 'return' of Hamas fighters after the IDF months ago conquered it. It has long been deemed among the Strip's permanent refugee camps. There are reports that Israeli armor has smashed deep into the heart of the camp and city.

American ships will be required to be very close just off Gaza's coast as fighting intensifies in both the north & south of the Strip.

Hamas also appears to have stepped-up its attacks on Israeli forces in various locations, and Al Jazeera reports at least 40 Palestinian deaths over the course of the last day.

"Tanks and planes are wiping out residential districts and markets, shops, restaurants, everything. It is all happening before the one-eyed world," a resident of Jabalia identified as Ayman Rajab told a regional outlet.

The same outlet observed that this intensifying fighting is occurring in the same northern region as the US Army-built humanitarian aid pier:

"People are terrified and they’re trying to get away," Jens Laerke, UN humanitarian office spokesperson, said in Geneva, adding that most were following orders to move north toward the coast but that there were no safe routes or destinations.

As the fighting raged, the US military said trucks started moving aid ashore from a temporary pier, the first to reach the besieged enclave by sea in weeks.

Instead of U.S. President Joe Biden marking a red line in the sand demanding that Israel allow aid into Gaza via ground transportation, his inept diplomatic team sent out a plea for help to the U.S. military.

While in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for 29 years, I thought I had seen some pretty stupid things the military was told by politicians to do. It always begins with politicians deciding the easiest, most sensible solution to a problem would have too much political baggage and cost them votes in the next election. So, they look for a politically expedient solution, one that is invariably very expensive and convoluted.

Attempting a Military Solution for a Political or Diplomat Problem—AGAIN!!!

In this vein, all too often, politicians turn to the U.S. military for a solution to a non-military problem. Then some A-type personality in the military presents a hair-brained idea to the politicians, probably never thinking that the idea would be accepted. Then it is accepted to get the politicians out of a jam, and the next thing you know is that the Rube Goldberg, crazy idea is being funded.

This unbelievable scenario is what has happened with getting humanitarian aid into Gaza for the starving survivors of the Israeli genocide of Gaza. Instead of U.S. President Joe Biden marking a red line in the Israel/Gaza/Egypt sand demanding that Israel allow into Gaza the miles of tractor-trailer loads of food and medicine that have been stalled for months at the Rafah border crossing, Biden's inept diplomatic team sent out a plea for help to the U.S. military.

Palestinians in Gaza and citizens around the world will not forget that miles of supplies are just feet away from Gaza at the Rafah crossing and the U.S. will not use its pressure on Israel to open the gates at Rafah.
