The world is facing a long list of troubles often isolated to specific regions. Still, one issue experts warn is just on the horizon is a global food shortage that is likely to threaten every country.
Farmers everywhere are already noting there is a shortage of fertilizers needed to keep crop yields at their highest levels to feed the nearly 8 billion people of the world.
Last year, for instance, U.S. Army Special Forces veteran and author Michael Yon told SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily that all of the 26 major plants in Europe that produce nitrogen-based fertilizers are either closed down or on the verge of closing. This will lead to famine. It’s just mathematics at this point,”
The math is easy. When more fertilizer is used, yields are higher and more food is produced. When less fertilizer is used, yields are smaller, and less food is produced.
With the federal government poised to force Western states to change how they manage the alarming shortfall in Colorado River water, there is one constituency with a growing interest in the river's fate that's little known to some: Wall Street investors.
Private investment firms are showing a growing interest in an increasingly scarce natural resource in the American West: water in the Colorado River, a joint investigation by CBS News and The Weather Channel has found. For some of the farmers and cities that depend on the river as a lifeline, that interest is concerning.
"Our only source of water is the Colorado," says Joe Bernal, who raises cattle and grows crops on land across Colorado's Grand Valley, relying on water from the drought-depleted Colorado River.
"That's all we've got is that river," he says.
Bernal's family came to the Grand Valley nearly 100 years ago, and he has lived there his whole life.
US Rep. Maxine Waters is under scrutiny, again, after her daughter received more than $192,000 from her campaign fund to run her 'slate mailer' operation.
Karen Waters earned $192,300 for operating her mother's endorsement mailers between January 2021 and December 2022, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
The practice involves Waters, a popular California Democrat, accepting payments to appear on the mailers, a common practice in the state but notably rare for politicians on a federal level.
Far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has threatened Palestinians with execution by the "electric chair" following the latest round of violence by regime forces across the occupied Palestinian territories.
Speaking at a meeting of his extremist party, Ben-Gvir vowed to push the Israeli parliament, known as the Knesset, to pass a bill to use the electric chair death penalty for Palestinians involved in retaliatory operations and attacks against Israeli military forces and settlers.
"Anyone who murders, harms, and slaughters civilians should be sent to the electric chair," Ben-Gvir said.
The far-right Israeli minister also said he had called for the imposition of a curfew on Palestinian neighborhoods that pose a threat to Israel and the apprehension of those holding weapons.
The threat was made as Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday vowed a "strong, swift and precise" response to the latest retaliatory attacks and said his cabinet, comprised of a group of hardline politicians, had decided to expedite gun permits for Israeli people to defend against Palestinian street attacks.
Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz signed a “right” to unlimited abortion into law Tuesday, putting the North Star State on par with the likes of North Korea according to pro-life leaders.
The so-called Protect Reproductive Options (PRO) Act asserts a woman’s “fundamental right” to “continue the pregnancy and give birth, or obtain an abortion, and to make autonomous decisions about how to exercise this fundamental right,” declares that this “right” is contained in the Minnesota Constitution’s “principles of individual liberty, personal privacy, and equality;” and forbids localities from “regulat[ing] an individual’s ability to freely exercise the fundamental rights set forth in this section in a manner that is more restrictive than that set forth in this section.”
The bill cleared both chambers of the state legislature without proposed Republican amendments to preserve some limits on abortion, and on Tuesday it received Walz’s signature at a ceremony joined by Planned Parenthood North Central States president Sarah Stoesz, Valley News Live reports.
“The message that we’re sending to Minnesota today is very clear, your rights are protected in this state, you have the right to make your own decisions about your health, your family and your life,” Walz told the crowd.
Pro-life activists see a very different message in the new law.
A group of hackers has reportedly launched a massive cyberattack on Israeli chemical companies operating in the occupied territories, warning their engineers and workers to quit their posts before they suffer severe repercussions of the Tel Aviv regime’s relentless violence against Palestinians.
“Our message to chemists working in the chemical factories is to leave their job, look for a new one, and take refuge in a place where we are not present. This is while we have a strong presence anywhere,” Russia’s Arabic-language RT Arabic television news network cited the message published by the Electronic Quds Force.
It added, “We confirm that your work in chemical factories poses danger to your lives; however, we will never hesitate to melt your bodies with chemicals next time an act of aggression is perpetrated against Palestinians.”
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken embarks on a Middle East tour as tensions between Israelis and Palestinians explode, NATO and Washington seek to rally Asian allies in the face of threats from China and North Korea, and the EU is searching for ways to seize Russian assets. These stories topped Tuesday’s newspaper headlines across Russia.
The Royal Navy and the UK minister of defense are in an uproar over a handful of broken bolts aboard the nuclear ballistic missile submarine HMS Vanguard - not because the parts are mission-critical, nor because the problem is difficult to fix, but because ship repair workers attempted to hide the damage and carry on.
HMS Vanguard was in shipyard at Babcock's Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth, UK, from 2015 through last year. She was redelivered to the fleet - four years late - in July 2022.
After her return to the fleet, a defect "from work done in the past" was discovered during a routine inspection and was "reported and fixed."
The UK tabloid The Sun reports that the defect in question was a set of "at least seven" sheared bolt heads, found in a fastening system for securing pipe insulation on the coolant system for the vessel's reactor. The workers who installed and damaged the bolts did not remove and replace them; instead, they glued the heads back on.
The bolts were not safety-critical, according to Babcock, and the "repair" did not pose a threat to the vessel or its operations. However, it greatly displeased the Royal Navy and the Ministry of Defence.
"It’s a disgrace. You can’t cut corners with nuclear," a Royal Navy source told The Sun. "Nuclear standards are never compromised."
The case of double rapist ‘Isla Bryson’, formerly Adam Graham, has shone a spotlight on another trans prisoner in Scotland – a convicted killer who identifies as a baby.
The case of Sophie Eastwood, formerly Daniel Eastwood, has been highlighted by news outlets including the Daily Mail and Daily Express. The story comes as Scotland’s left-separatist Scottish National Party (SNP) government, which has been pushing pro-trans legislation, grapples with the case of Isla Bryson, a tattooed, skinheaded rapist who began dressing in pink and identifying as a woman after being apprehended, and was briefly incarcerated in a woman’s prison.
Eastwood, who is currently serving a “life” sentence for strangling another inmate to death with a pair of shoelaces while serving a sentence for dangerous driving, is held to be an even more ridiculous example of the consequences which have flowed from the woke gender policies of Scotland’s devolved government, progressing from identifying as a woman to identifying as an infant girl, with the authorities at least partial indulgence.
Though held in an institution for males, the killer has reportedly been supplied with a dummy, as pacifiers are typically referred to in British parlance, and, according to the Mail‘s Paul Bracchi, “demands that guards give her nappies [diapers], blend her meals like baby food, and… hold her hand — whenever she leaves her cell.”
More than 200 Palestinians are taking part in a two-day vigil in Khan al-Ahmar, east of al-Quds, to block an Israeli attempt to destroy the village and displace its people, while others have gone on strike in al-Quds’s Jabal Mukabber in protest against home demolitions.
The Palestinian protesters gathered at the entrance of the village to voice their objection to the Israeli ruling and prevent the Israeli army from carrying out the demolition.
According to the Palestinian WAFA news agency, head of the Wall and Settlements Resistance Commission Muayyad Shaban said that he had called for the two-day vigil on Tuesday, one day before the Israeli Supreme Court was scheduled to issue a ruling on this issue.
Concern over demolishing the village, where 200 people live, half of them children, was heightened following a call by far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben Gvir to immediately demolish it and kick out its residents.
Khan al-Ahmar, which includes 25 Bedouin communities, has been at risk of demolition by the Israeli authorities for several years.
Colonel Macgregor, with the exception of his statement on Solzhenitsyn, basically confirms what I was preaching for many years. No, not that Washington is incompetent--this has been a fait accompli for decades now--but that the US is incapable to take on Russia militarily.
But even the title by Judge Napolitano is somewhat misleading: U.S. Not Prepared to take on Russia. The US is not just "not prepared", it cannot physically fight Russia without sustaining catastrophic defeat even if it spends next 30 years preparing for that fight. For starters, the US de-industrialization and societal ills permanently removed it from the largely self-proclaimed status of hegemon. The US will remain an important and influential country if it manages to keep itself intact (if), but, as I already stated, culturally the United States is not a continental military power. I deliberately used the all encompassing, history too, term "culturally", because military affairs of the nation are rooted in culture.
While the drug and chemical industries have attacked and tried to discredit me for years, blatant censorship didn’t begin until 2020, after the outbreak of the COVID pandemic.
For legal and historical purposes, I am sharing a timeline of events with you that document a chain of coordinated events and attacks against me and this website. My first article about the pandemic came out February 4, 2020, in which I predicted that it was a grossly exaggerated threat that would enrich pandemic vaccine makers.
March 8, 2020, I published an interview with bioweapons expert Francis Boyle, Ph.D., in which he warned that SARS-CoV-2 had all the hallmarks of a genetically engineered bioweapon. Boyle was among the first, if not the first, to suspect the outbreak was the result of a lab leak.
While every health authority on the planet insisted there was no treatment, and that patients simply go to the hospital to be placed on mechanical ventilation and die, I interviewed medical experts working on early treatment options and published articles detailing the potential benefits of vitamin D, zinc, quercetin and other nutraceuticals that boost immune function, as well as decades-old drugs like hydroxychloroquine.
I also published the testimony of whistleblowers such as Erin Marie Olszewski, a frontline nurse, who warned that patients were being intentionally killed on ventilators as it quickly proved to be a deadly intervention for COVID-19.
All things end, including people pretending to be someone they aren’t and doing something they shouldn’t.
This ending is the case with Kay LeClaire, who, for quite some time, has pretended to be Native American and part of multiple heritages, including Metis, Oneida, Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Cuban, and Jewish, according to a report by the New York Post.
Kay LeClaire, aka Katie and Kathryn, is married to Adam Pagenkopf, a researcher at the University of Wisconsin. According to Fox News, Kay LeClaire is also part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison environment. The university awarded LeClaire $5,000 for a 10-week residency with the goal being to develop a “toolkit and curriculum around cultural appropriation.”
‘The pilot of a Chicago flight bound for Columbus, Ohio, passed out suddenly after takeoff Saturday evening, prompting a co-pilot to make a return flight back to the airport. The pilot, who was a captain in training for American Airlines subsidiary Envoy Air, later died at the hospital, according to reports.’
While the cause of the pilot’s blackout has not been revealed, incidents like this were exactly what pilots who rallied against mandatory Covid vaccinations were trying to avoid.
