The White House is prepared to roll out a plan that will make Saudi Arabia a Japan-style ally in exchange for Riyadh developing official ties with Tel Aviv. While the Biden administration has invested substantial effort to get the deal inked, it is likely dead on arrival because Saudi Arabia refuses to normalize with Israel unless Tel Aviv agrees to the creation of the Palestinian state.

According to American, Israeli, and Saudi officials speaking with the Wall Street Journal, Washington is prepared to sign an agreement to defend Saudi Arabia if Riyadh establishes regular ties with Tel Aviv. However, it would not be a peace agreement as the two countries are not at war.

Several hurdles must be cleared before the deal can be finalized, and it is unlikely that will happen. As Biden is seeking to make Saudi Arabia a treaty ally, it would need the approval of two-thirds of the Senate. Additionally, the deal would require Tel Aviv to end the onslaught in Gaza and take permanent steps toward a Palestinian state. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to take either step.

A team of US special operations soldiers and intelligence personnel based in Israel assisted in the operation

Israel received intelligence support from the US in its Saturday operation in central Gaza’s Nuseirat camp that killed over 200 Palestinians and freed four Israeli hostages.

The intelligence support included information provided by US drone flights over Gaza. The US began flying MQ-9 Reaper drones over Gaza days after October 7 and deployed special operations forces to Israel, demonstrating that US military support for Israel goes beyond providing weapons.

The Washington Post reported that a team of US special operations soldiers and intelligence personnel based at the US Embassy in Jerusalem provided the intelligence support. Besides the drone flights, the US provided communications intercepts, and Israel also received intelligence support from the UK.

Local residents said the Israeli special forces who carried out the raid were disguised as displaced Palestinians from Rafah, and others entered the camp in an aid truck. The Israeli military denied it used an aid truck, but Israeli media reported Israeli soldiers meant to blend in as Arabs were part of the attack. Israeli warplanes pounded Nuseirat as the Israeli commandos on the ground moved to locate the hostages.

Claire"s Observations:  Take a good, hard look at this injured child, being attended by Palestinian medics. Now imagine, for one moment, that this was your little boy.  He has no understanding of why he is hurting, and how on earth someone, who calls themselves "civilized" could have done this to him, or anyone in his family.

The child's "crime"?!?!?  Breathing while Palestinian. No judge; no jury; just an executioner's bullet; shrapnel; or blown apart buildings, collapsing on people who had nothing to do with 7 October. At this child's age, there could not possibly be any complicity in that horrible massacre, which all civilized people in their right minds, condemn as horrific, including yours truly.

And remember, with the Israeli mindset, Palestinians are guilty until proven innocent, if they survive.  This kid may be one of the lucky ones; the blood on the pads around him are bright red with his blood, indicating superficial wounds; but we don't know about any internal injuries or opportunistic infections yet, and the barely surviving hospitals in Gaza have little with which to treat that.

I still strongly caution what is left of the Israeli government, after the resignation of Benny Gantz, to be very careful as to what they wish for, as a total outcome of these operations in Gaza; karma sometimes has a way of turning things on their head, in a most spectacularly unwanted way.

US and British missile strikes on Yemen that were launched on May 30 killed 16 civilians and wounded 35 more, according to the Yemen Data Project (YDP).

Fourteen civilians were killed in strikes on a coast guard site at a port in the Red Sea province of Hodeidah, and two were killed in a bombing of a radio broadcast building that was also in Hodeidah.

At the time, the US and the UK shared little detail about the strikes, only claiming to have hit Houthi targets. The YDP said it was unclear which military was responsible for the strikes that killed civilians.

The US and British bombing campaign on Yemen started in January and has failed to deter the Houthis, as the Yemeni group continues to attack commercial shipping in response to the Israeli onslaught in Gaza. Two ships were reported to be struck by missiles off the coast of Yemen on Saturday.

Citing Israel’s killing of over 36,000 Palestinians in Gaza and its defiance of a World Court order to stop attacking Rafah, the NAACP on Wednesday joined the hundreds of human rights and civil society organizations urging the Biden administration to halt weapons transfers to Israel.

The leading U.S. civil rights group noted Israel’s defiance of the International Court of Justice’s May 24 order to stop attacking the southern Gaza city of Rafah and the Israel Defense Force’s (IDF) May 26 bombing of a refugee encampment there that killed and wounded hundreds of Palestinians, including many women and children.

“The total death toll of Gazans has reached over 36,000 with another 81,000 injured,” the NAACP said. “Nearly 500 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 117 children, have also been killed.”

The Israeli massacre in the Nuseirat camp to liberate four Israeli prisoners held by resistance factions in the Gaza Strip started at 11:00 in the morning on June 8. Although the scenes of Palestinians running for safety may have seemed sadly familiar, this invasion was different from others that have been carried out across the Gaza Strip.

This time, the Israeli military wore civilian clothes, rode in Palestinian cars, and moved among the people in disguise. There were no warnings to evacuate, or orders from the army to move elsewhere, and people were surprised by the Israeli special forces and tanks. A large number of special forces hidden among the people only revealed themselves once the deadly operation began as other special forces stormed the area traveling in cars loaded with luggage, the same luggage that the displaced people carry with them, such as mattresses, pillows, blankets, and bags. When the Palestinians detected them, the soldiers quickly called for support, and helicopters, fighter planes, artillery, and tanks descended. Reconnaissance aircraft and foot solders then began committing massacres against the civilian population.

Jewish extremists rioted Thursday night in the West Bank town of Qusra, throwing stones at Palestinian residents and burning property, Hebrew media reported.

The apparent settler “hilltop youth” tried to burn down a house, and successfully burned several agricultural fields in the town, near the city of Nablus, a security source told Army Radio, which referred to the incident as Jewish terrorism. Footage circulating on social media appeared to show the blazes.

Palestinians threw stones at the perpetrators and at Israeli troops who arrived at the scene to disperse the crowd, Army Radio reported.

Soldiers returned fire, injuring two Palestinians, according to the report.

The Israel Defense Forces have not commented on the incident.

While President Joe Biden has repeatedly insisted he has nothing to do with his family's business dealings - going so far as to say he's never so much as discussed them with relatives, a new report from Politico completely destroys that lie.

Illustration by Bill Kuchman/POLITICO (source images via AP, Getty Images, iStock)

"I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period," said Biden. "

"And what I will do is the same thing we did in our administration. There will be an absolute wall between personal and private [business interests] and the government. There wasn’t any hint of scandal at all when we were there. And I’m going to propose the same kind of strict, strict rules. That’s why I never talked with my son or my brother or anyone else — even distant family — about their business interests. Period."

As Politico notes, Joe Biden’s political journey, stretching back to his first Senate bid, has always been a family affair. His first campaign was significantly supported by his family, setting a precedent for how his personal and professional lives would intertwine. Throughout his career, Biden’s relatives have not only been a staple in his campaigns but have also engaged in business ventures that at times involved his political patrons, converting some business partners into campaign supporters.

This longstanding blend of family, business, and politics has made it an absurd notion that Biden has distanced himself from the actions and ventures of his relatives, particularly his son Hunter Biden and his brother Jim Biden, whose foreign business dealings have been a continual source of controversy.

Jon Stewart has said that former President Donald Trump has given America a 'gift' by 'exposing' political and corporate corruption.

Speaking on his new podcast, The Weekly Show, the comedian discussed Trump, the election and democracy.

He said that Trump's conviction and ongoing trials have lifted the lid on 'a reality of crony capitalism, a reality of transactional corruption that is the heartbeat of corporate and political America.'

Trump's exploits have revealed the flaws and shady deals culture of US politics and business, Stewart said.

He said: 'In some ways, he is doing us a service in that he is like…you know how they employ a white hat hacker who will go into a system and find its vulnerabilities.'

Clark will be excluded from the Olympic team for an unusual reason: she has too many fans.

Judging by the near-infinite hype spewed about AI, its power is practically limitless: it's going to do all our work better and cheaper than we can do, replacing us at work, to name one example making the rounds. It's going to revolutionize everything from science to marketing, all the while reaping trillions of dollars in profits for those who own the AI tools, apps, etc. All these extravagant claims make good clickbait, but let's set a higher standard: if AI is so great, then prove it by eliminating all the surveillance, spam and robocalling that's making daily life such a chore. If AI is so powerful and can do pretty much anything a human can do only faster, better, cheaper, then why doesn't someone assign it a simple task: make all surveillance, spam and robocalling go away and become a thing of the dreary, dreadful past.

What about sending our retiring tank-busting A-10 jets? Even as U.S. support for endlessly arming Ukraine wavers (or maybe because of it), Europeans are stepping up their own efforts to support the embattled nation invaded by Russia.

This is no clearer than in the continent's sending of advanced combat jets, and other aircraft.

France recently announced it will donate Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Kyiv and train their Ukrainian pilots as part of a new military cooperation with the country as it fights the Russian invasion. (RELATED: France To Deploy Military Trainers To Ukraine: Report)

The pledge came after NATO allies, including Belgium, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands, committed to dispatching about 80 U.S.-made F-16 fighters to Ukraine.

Submitted by Ben Sellers via Headline USA,

Pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that is the 2024 election heist all began fitting together Friday as illegal immigrants took over New York City’s Times Square to demand the abolishing of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in response to what was already a toothless and symbolic executive order from President Joe Biden.

And so begins the long foretold Cloward–Piven strategy that will not only secure for the radical Left another election cycle, but perhaps a permanent toppling of the capitalist/democratic system via Marxist revolution

In retrospect, it may seem clear all along that it was the “newcomers” and not the Hamas-indoctrinated college kids who would be the George Floyd rioters of the current season, after having invaded the country to the tune of some 11 million.

The earlier protests were, of course, a test run for Soros-funded organizers to dust off their riot gear and update their four-year-old call lists for when a spontaneous flash-mob is needed, the underlying cause being moot (as many of the terrorist sympathizers demonstrated in on-the-scene interviews).

Once all is said and done, it would not be the least bit surprising if the corrupt Biden administration has not only declared martial law, but granted de-facto citizenship and enfranchisement to all of the foreign interlopers, using the pretext that blanket amnesty will be the only way to placate these paid, well-organized rioters.

However, American citizens may be too distracted dealing with other things to put up a political fight over the issue. Looming on the horizon is the prospect of a new pandemic-level shutdown that is now being advocated by both the World Health Organization and the United Nations over the livestock-borne bird flu. No matter that the one human fatality thus far documented is likely a hoax.

An imprisoned Native American activist is set to face a 'last chance' parole hearing after murdering two FBI agents in 1975.

Leonard Peltier, now 79, is due for a parole hearing on Monday- his first in 15 years after spending more than 47 years behind bars.

He was arrested on February 6, 1976 by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police after Special Agents Jack Coler and Ron Williams were gunned down while searching for a suspect at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota on June 26, 1975.

While the two agents looked for Jimmy Eagle, a suspect wanted for stealing a pair of cowboy boots and assaulting two local ranch workers, the pair called in and said they were involved in a 10 minute shootout, according to the FBI.

Officials said that Coler and Williams were both shot at close range, and that Peltier was identified as the only suspect in their deaths because he was in possession of a gun whose bullets matched those used in their murders.

Webmaster addition: There have always been suspicions about this case. It was rumored that the FBI accidentally shot their own agents and framed Peltier to save face. This was the subject of the documentary "Incident At Oglala: The Leonard Peltier Story" and also was the inspiration for the movie "Thunderheart."

U.S. President Joe Biden recently announced actions to bar immigrants who cross the US-Mexico border illegally.

In this graphic, Visual Capitalist's Bruno Venditti maps the number of unauthorized immigrants by state, based on 2021 estimates from the Pew Research Center based on calculations using U.S. Census Bureau data.

Undocumented Immigrants Concentrated in Certain States

The unauthorized immigrant population in the United States was estimated at around 10 million in 2021 after peaking at 12.2 million in 2007.

California, Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois had the largest unauthorized immigrant populations in 2021. These six states were home to 56% of the nation’s unauthorized immigrants in 2021, down from 80% in 1990.

Between 2017 and 2021, the unauthorized immigrant populations in Florida and Washington increased, while those in California and Nevada decreased.

The most common country of birth for people without legal status is Mexico. In recent years, however, there have been increases in immigrants from nearly every other region of the world—Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Asia, Europe, and sub-Saharan Africa.

In addition, around 5% of U.S. workers are unauthorized immigrants.

Authored by Ben Sellers via Headline USA,

During a visit to Monroe, N.C., to support conservative congressional candidate Mark Harris on Friday, House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, was surprised by a reporter’s question about fresh allegations from former President Donald Trump’s New York lawfare trial that could potentially result in a mistrial.

Earlier in the day, Judge Juan Merchan wrote a letter to Trump’s attorneys and prosecutors with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, notifying them of a Facebook comment that was discovered under a routine court post dated May 29, the day before a jury convicted Trump of 34 felonies.

The commenter, identifying himself as a juror’s cousin by the name of Michael Anderson, appeared to offer some advance inside knowledge about the verdict.

Well, if that happened, that’s wrong,” Jordan responded when asked about the breaking news. “I have not heard that and I don’t know if it’s true, but you obviously aren’t supposed to be doing that, so we’ll have to see.

In his letter, Merchan claimed he had just learned of the comment.

“Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System’s public Facebook page and which I now bring to your attention,” the judge wrote. “The comment, now labeled as one week old, responded to a routine UCS notice, posted on May 29.”

Merchan’s letter did not clarify whether the person who posted the comment was indeed related to a juror.

The judge, a Biden donor, was widely criticized for his biased rulings throughout the trial and was even suspected of receiving bribes through his daughter, whose digital marketing firm drew millions of dollars from Democrat politicians—some of whom became involved directly in the case.

Merchan’s brief letter did not outline any sort of follow up steps, although it stands to reason that the court will investigate the matter and would declare a mistrial if, in fact, juror misconduct were established.

Claire's Observations: IF there is any justice left in the world for Trump, and the allegations of communication prove true, Merchan should declare a mistrial.  I don't think this will happen until pigs discover they are aerodynamic, but jury integrity is one of the hallmarks of the American system of justice, and to see that not honored in such a case, is an horrific precedent to set here.

An internal memo circulated among Border Patrol agents instructs those in the San Diego sector to release single adults from all but six countries into the US.

The memo, obtained by the Washington Examiner, was disseminated following President Joe Biden's executive order that theoretically attempts to ban most illegal immigrants from using the asylum claim went into effect last week.

Anna Giaritelli, who first reported on the memo's details, said the document instructed officials to process all single adults from the Eastern Hemisphere via a process called Notice to Appear/released on Own Recognizance, except for those from six select countries - Russia, Georgia Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan.

Citizens from all other nations in the Eastern Hemisphere, outside of those half-dozen, attempting to illegally cross the US border into the San Diego sector, will be released freely into the country, according to the memo.

Former President Donald Trump described President Joe Biden's actions on the border as 'bulls**t' as his supporters cheered in the blistering heat at a rally in Las Vegas on Sunday.

'Last week, Crooked Joe signed an executive order that is pro invasion, pro child trafficking, pro woman trafficking, pro human trafficking ... it's a pro-drug dealer bill It's weak, it's ineffective, it's bulls**t what he signed,'  Trump said after taking the stage.

His supporters cheered and repeatedly shouted chanted 'bulls**t!' They made a similar chat when right-wing Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke in the warm up for the ex-president as well.

Trump's focus on the border and immigration took up a large portion off the top of his speech as he visited the state.

He called it the worst border 'in the history of the world' and went into graphic descriptions as he accused some immigrants in the country illegally of heinous crimes.

Several countries and international organisations have condemned the Israeli killing of at least 274 Palestinians during an operation to free four Israeli captives in central Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp.

Authorities in the Gaza Strip on Sunday said at least 698 others were injured in “an unprecedented brutal attack”, some in critical condition, as hospitals struggle to cope with the flow of wounded or dead bodies.

Reporting from inside Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah, Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary on Sunday said civil defence crews are still finding dead or wounded Palestinians from under the rubble in the aftermath of the Nuseirat attack, as more air strikes target areas across the enclave.

“The bombardment continues intensely and it is very hard for the emergency responders to reach the killed and injured Palestinians. They are telling us that there are still people on the roads and under the rubble that they could not reach,” she said.

More than two weeks have passed since the graduates’ commencement ceremony for 2024 at Harvard University, but Asmer Asrar Safi is still waiting to receive the degree for which he spent four years studying.

“The situation remains as is, unfortunately,” he tells Al Jazeera from Boston, United States.

Besides Safi, who is originally from Lahore, Pakistan, another 12 students find themselves in the same situation: they are all graduating students at one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the world but will not be awarded their degrees for at least one year.

Harvard Corporation, the university’s top governing body, barred these students from receiving their degrees during this year’s graduation ceremony on May 23 on account of their involvement in the three-week pro-Palestine encampment at the university last month.

Former President Donald Trump is scheduled for a virtual probation interview on Monday, according to a report from NBC News, after a New York jury found him guilty of all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in his 'hush money' trial.

The former president will participate in the hearing from his home at Mar-a-Lago, according to the report, citing 'three sources familiar' with the matter. The probation interview is a normal process for Trump's pre-sentencing report.

The interview is the next step in the sentencing process as Judge Juan Merchan is scheduled to sentence the former president on July 11, just days before the Republican National convention begins in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The interview will be conducted by a probation officer and Trump's lawyer Todd Blanche will be present.

Far-right political heavyweight Marine Le Pen said last night her party is 'ready to take power' after Emmanuel Macron called for a snap poll following a major defeat in the European Elections.

Macron dissolved France's parliament and announced the vote in the wake of a massive swing to the Right during the country's European Union elections.

The president suffered a humiliating defeat after Le Pen's National Rally party took home a projected 31.5% of the vote.

It came on a night where much of the rest of the bloc saw an equally dramatic swing to the Right, with major upsets being witnessed in Belgium, Germany and Austria.

In April 2022, Congressman Mark Amodei praised Ukrainians for their efforts in fighting for their independence and emphasized the importance of supporting them. He backed all pro-Ukrainian initiatives in Congress. However, in April 2024, he unexpectedly voted against allocating aid to Ukraine.

In September 2023, Senators Tom Cotton and Lindsey Graham wrote a letter to President Joe Biden urging him to provide Ukraine with ATACMS missiles ranging from 165 to 270 kilometers, depending on the particular model. By February 2024, however, they voted against a bill proposing aid for Ukraine, only to vote in favor of it in April. Graham and Cotton are not the only flip-flopping politicians in the U.S. Congress.

Such inconsistency in decisions can also be observed in other American politicians. Why do these fluctuations occur?

Texty.org.ua decided to research the reasons expressed by the media and expert communities contributing to political discordance within the decision-making establishment.
As a result, we identified a wide range of groups opposing support for Ukraine, from Trump supporters to communists, and explored the ecosystem of mutual support among those who hold this position.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday announced the dissolution of the French parliament's lower house, the National Assembly, and the holding of snap parliamentary elections.

"I am dissolving this evening the National Assembly. I will soon sign a decree to hold new parliamentary elections, the first round of which will be held on June 30 and the second on July 7," Macron said in a video address to the French.

Earlier, Jordan Bardella, head of the opposition party “National Rally”, which won the elections to the European Parliament in France, called Macron for early elections to the French parliament.

“We solemnly ask him to state this new political reality ... and organize new parliamentary elections,” Bardella said, speaking to supporters of his party after the preliminary results of the European Parliament elections in France emerged.

The "National Rally" was gaining 32%, according to polls, while Macron's "Renaissance party" was trailing second by a significant, nearly two-to-one, gap 15.4%.

Webmaster addition: The European elections showed a sharp turn towards the right anti-war anti-immigration parties. This could potentially help end the war in Ukraine.
