"The first panacea of a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permeant ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists." -- Ernest Hemingway
Bill Maher stated on his show that Americans are so concerned about issues such as the Critical Race Theory and LGBTQ materials coming into schools that they will vote for Donald Trump if he decides to run again in 2024. Maher also stated that Americans would do this despite Trump being a “creep.”
The comments came on Maher’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.” He held a 15-minute long panel in which he stated that the liberal propaganda pushed in schools is now so bad that many parents will feel that they need to vote for the normalcy they can find with Trump being back in the White House.
Maher has said that voting for or against Trump will boil down to what someone’s particular priorities are. He stated that his two biggest issues personally are saving Democracy and the environment. Maher then said that many parents would ultimately vote for Trump. After all, they will be forced into his arms
because they see everything the liberals are doing in the schools and aren’t pleased with it.
Kiev will no longer request weapons deliveries from the West, only after Ukraine prevails over Russia, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba claimed on Monday, adding that the supplies are part of a “recipe to defeat” Moscow’s forces.
Speaking to Bloomberg TV, Kuleba indicated that despite a constant flow of Western armaments into the country, Kiev needs even more of them, given that it is now fighting such an “enemy” as Russia.
“Sometimes I’m being asked when there is enough of weapons that we have received. And I always say… it will be enough only after Ukraine wins. Until then, we will be asking for more,” he stated.
The Foreign minister also noted that Kiev’s recent counter-offensive in Kharkov region has shown that the combination of Ukrainian forces’ “stamina” and Western-supplied weapons, most of which come from the US, are “the recipe to defeat Russia on the ground.” Moscow, however, insisted that it pulled its troops back from some areas to “regroup” and to strengthen the Russian forces in the Donetsk region.
At the same time, Kuleba admitted that sustainability of Western weapon deliveries is an issue, which needs to be constantly raised by Kiev authorities as they talk with their Western colleagues.
Early Sunday morning, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt allegedly ran over 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson with his car following a political dispute in McHenry, North Dakota.
After being charged on Monday with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a deadly accident, Brandt admitted that his actions were politically motivated.

Throughout 2022, President Joe Biden has warned the American people that the GOP “isn’t your father’s Republican Party.”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis‘ (R) office fired back at a Democrat sheriff in Texas who announced Monday afternoon that his county was opening an investigation into the 50 illegal immigrants that were flown to Martha’s Vineyard last week.
The Republican attorneys general of 23 states are expected to send a letter Tuesday opposing plans by Visa, Mastercard, and American Express to add a new code to identify gun purchases made at firearm retailers.
The whistleblower recounted being told that “child sexual abuse investigations were no longer an FBI priority.”
Beyond Meat COO Doug Ramsey was arrested following an alleged road rage incident that led to him biting the flesh off of the tip of the victim's nose, according to local news.
Ramsey, 53, was arrested on September 17 and faces charges of terroristic threatening and third-degree battery. The incident took place near the back of Razorback Stadium following the University of Arkansas' win over Missouri state.

Update(1055ET): Russia's President Putin is set to give a major speech Tuesday evening (Moscow time) amid announcements by pro-Russian authorities in occupied regions of Ukraine that referendums to join the Russian Federation will be held in the coming days.
Russian media is reporting within the last hours (machine translation): "President Vladimir Putin may speak on Tuesday, September 20, regarding referendums in the territories of the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. RBC was told about this by three sources close to the presidential administration. The speech is expected before the end of the day, what exactly the head of state will say is unknown to RBC's interlocutors."
There are reports that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu will also be by Putin's side, leading some pundits to speculate we are about to see a possible formal declaration of war and "national mobilization" of Russian society.
The Atlanta Fed's GDPNow model estimate for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the third quarter of 2022 is just 0.3 percent now, down from 0.5 percent on September 15, down from 1.4 percent on September 7, and down from 2.6 percent on September 1.
Another day, another shock from a raging hawk of a central bank which until just a year ago was one of the world's biggest doves.
Not that long after the Swedish central bank appeared lock into NIRP for ever, this morning the Swedish central bank surprised markets with a full percentage-point hike (consensus looked for "only" 75bps), the biggest ever under the current monetary-policy regime.
The man who made headlines earlier this week for brandishing an axe at a Lower East Side McDonald’s is speaking out, claiming he’s “not unhinged” and insisting 18 hours in jail was ample punishment for his crime.
Jared Bernstein, a member of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Joe Biden, on Monday claimed that the White House has successfully led the charge against inflation and cut the budget deficit.
Weeks after President Joe Biden announced broad student-loan forgiveness, the companies that service those loans are still grappling with how to implement the relief.
At the end of August, Biden said he would cancel up to $20,000 in student debt for federal borrowers making under $125,000 a year. His Education Department said the relief will be automatic for some, while the majority will have to apply for it in early October. Borrowers and student-loan companies are still struggling to understand the mechanics of actually qualifying for, and getting, that relief.
During Barclay's Global Financial Services Conference last week, Navient CEO Jack Remondi expressed concerns with the logistics of Biden's debt relief and the lack of clarity companies have at this point.
"Probably the most challenging thing for us right now is what we don't know," Remondi said. "There's more we don't know about the plan and the program than we do know about what's going to happen. It's created all types of confusion. Call volume, for example, spiked almost eight times normal level after the announcement as customers wanted to know information, and we of course had to respond, 'we don't know.'"
WALMART has plans to start charging shoppers for substitutions they receive when an item in an online pickup or delivery order contains an out-of-stock item and customers are not happy.
Originally, customers have been charged the same price for the item they initially ordered, even if the substituted item was more expensive.
A memo that was sent to Walmart store managers Friday said the new substitution pricing policy is to be updated in the coming weeks Credit: Getty
This change comes as the store continues to expand its grocery market share while trying not to alienate its value-based customers.
"Moving forward, customers will now pay the list price for specific substitution items made on their order," the memo reportedly said.
On March 5, Ukraine’s Putsch “Prime Minister” Arseniy Yatsenyuk, arbitrarily sacked three senior Defence Ministry politicians, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Oleynik, with Deputy Defense Ministers Vladimir Mozharovskiy and Arturo Francisco Babenko.
According to Itar-Tass (6th March 2014) they had drawn Yatsenyuk’s ire by expressing:
“sharp criticism over giving the Right Sector militants the status of regular military units.”
A contact of the publication stated that one of the three had also:
“told Yatsenyuk that actions of today’s Kiev authorities in overtures with radical nationalist organizations would destroy national unity” and that it was simply: “harmful to involve the state military agency in such dangerous games.” Their stand resulted in “management reshuffles” – in the country in which Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland has stated that the US has invested $5 Billion: “in the development of democratic institutions and skills in promoting civil society and a good form of government.”(1)
After Ron DeSantis sent planes with illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, an island known for being extremely wealthy and leftist, the island swiftly called in the national guard to help relocate the immigrants. They even raised thousands of dollars for immigrants and kept it for a community fund. Now, residents are speaking their minds.
Surprisingly, it’s not as left-leaning as one would suspect. According to Fox News, “One person on this oasis of leftist elites blames federal officials for the immigration crisis that shot Martha’s Vineyard into the national spotlight.”
CNN’s Don Lemon pushed a British royal commentator Monday night on the issue of whether the royal family needed to pay reparations for slavery, and he appeared to be caught off guard by the answer that he received.
When we think of the city that holds the trophy for being the Murder Capital of America, several cities come to mind. For example, Chicago will let murders roam free thanks to the no-bail law it will implement next year. The state of Wisconsin, where they are letting the state’s most dangerous criminals out on parole, comes to mind. However, the murder capital of America isn’t a city you would expect.
According to Fox News, “New Orleans has overtaken St. Louis as the murder capital of America as the city sees a 141% increase in homicides compared to recent years.”
The same news source continued, “According to data from the Metropolitan Crime Commission, an organization that tracks crime and tries to bring it down, there have been 52 homicides per 100,000 residents as of September 11.”
NATO is not waging war against Russia even as it supports Ukraine with large quantities of weapons to help its fight against Moscow, the chair of the NATO Military Committee Robert Bauer said on Tuesday.
During an interview with Estonian public broadcaster ERR, Bauer was asked whether the massive aid packages that Ukraine receives from NATO mean that the alliance is “at least partially” at war with Russia. Bauer, however, dismissed the notion.
“NATO is not at war with Russia. I have to state this very clearly,” he said, but added that this would be the case if Moscow attacked one of the bloc’s own members.
Bauer said the alliance is trying to make that “as clear as possible” to Russia, “that we would defend every inch of our ally’s territory” in such a scenario.
Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers acknowledged in court filings on Monday that the former president could face criminal charges in the investigation into the U.S. government records that he kept at his Florida home at Mar-a-Lago.
The precursor to the FBI, the Bureau of Investigation, was created in 1908 in large part to investigate political threats to the power of the robber barons. These threats included striking workers, anarchists and communists. Driven initially by fears of communist revolution following the Russian Revolution and then the massive strikes and labor militancy of the 1930s, the Bureau of Investigation became the primary federal tool for surveilling and subverting left organizing. It was taken over by J. Edgar Hoover in 1924 and transformed into the FBI in 1934, when it became a massive domestic intelligence-gathering operation with files on millions of Americans including politicians, celebrities, labor leaders, journalists, religious figures, and anyone suspected of subversive leanings, many of whom were people of color, Jews, and other members of historically oppressed communities. Tim Weiner, in his book, Enemies: A History of the FBI, meticulously documents the political origins of the FBI and its dirty tricks.
In the 1960s, Hoover identified a new subversive threat: the civil rights movement. The Counter Intelligence Program (COINTELPRO), was an FBI-created program that spied on and undermined both socialist leaders and civil rights movement leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., and helped coordinate local attacks on the Black Panthers, the Socialist Workers Party, and many other groups. FBI agents attended activist groups’ meetings, openly photographed license plates of attendees, wiretapped phones, sent fake correspondences, and used informants to plant false rumors about marital infidelities and police cooperation to sow fear and dissension. The FBI was directly involved with local officials in Chicago who conspired to assassinate Black Panther leader Fred Hampton.
The history of the FBI is one of repressing movements for liberation and carrying out wars on marginalized communities.
Former Trump White House lawyer Eric Herschmann reportedly warned former President Donald Trump late last year that he could face serious legal repercussions if he did not return the U.S. government records that he took with him after he left office.
Senior officials in Kiev have dismissed as irrelevant plans for a number of current and former Ukrainian regions to hold referendums on whether to join Russia.
Andrey Yermak, President Vladimir Zelensky’s chief of staff, described the proposed votes as “blackmail” by Moscow.
“This is what fear of defeat looks like. The enemy is afraid and uses primitive manipulations,” he said in a post on social media on Tuesday.
Yermak added that “Ukraine will solve the Russian question,” insisting this could be done “only by force.”
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba also downplayed news of the upcoming referendums, dismissing the move as a “sham.”
“Ukraine has every right to liberate its territories and will keep liberating them whatever Russia has to say,” he tweeted.
The condemnations and threats came in response to bids by the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as Ukraine’s Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, to hold referendums on the question of joining the Russian Federation. The votes could take place as early as this week.
After Democrats accused Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis of acting illegally in transporting 50 illegal immigrants to the wealthy leftist enclave of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, a leading conservative law professor compared the actions of DeSantis to the massive number of immigrants President Biden has transported throughout the country.
Reacting to the announcement that the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (LPR and DPR) will hold a ballot to join Russia later this week, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday called them illegitimate and demanded more support for Ukraine from the “international community.”
“Sham referendums have no legitimacy and do not change the nature of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said on Twitter, calling it “a further escalation in [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s war.”
“The international community must condemn this blatant violation of international law and step up support for Ukraine,” Stoltenberg added.
The Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (LPR and DPR) will hold a vote for unification with Russia on September 23-27, their leaders said on Tuesday morning. The Russian-held territories of the neighboring Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will also vote starting on Friday.

US President Joe Biden has touted the “significant help” Washington and its NATO allies are providing to Kiev, and pledged an “ironclad commitment” to keep supporting Ukraine with weapons until it reclaims its entire territory from Russia.
“The price Ukrainian people are paying for this war is extremely high. But we're gonna stay with them as long as they need our help,” Biden said in a ‘60 Minutes’ CBS News interview aired Sunday night.
The US leader said that with “the significant help we and our allies are giving them and the incredible bravery and the incredible determination of the Ukrainian people, are not losing a war, and they're making gains in certain areas.”
The UK’s embargo on energy imports has helped send the price of oil and natural gas soaring, with a knock-on effect on the broader inflation rate, now at 10 percent. Businesses face a harsh winter, with almost three-quarters of British pubs saying they will have to shut their doors.
A British cabinet minister has claimed the government’s pledge of £2.3 billion in military aid to Ukraine next year will cut soaring energy bills at home.
Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Secretary Michelle Donelan told Sky News’ Kay Burley on Tuesday morning that arming President Volodymyr Zelensky’s regime was key to reducing “dependence” on Russian energy exports.
“We believe it is fundamentally important that we’re standing up for democracy, that we’re continuing to protect Ukraine in their fight, that we’re standing up for the rest of the world who needs to end their global dependence on Russia, which is one of the factors behind the increasing price in fuel,” Donelan said.
“So this is actually going to help the cost of living of people, not just in the UK, but across the globe as well,” the cabinet minister claimed. “And we hope that other countries will see what we’re doing and follow our example.”
Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe was on with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures and he confirmed what many are thinking – the FBI classified documents as “Top Secret” not because they were, but because they wanted to cover up their crimes in attempting a coup of the Trump Administration.
The Conservative Treehouse had the following to say about Ratcliffe’s interview:
In this lengthy interview with John Ratcliffe and Maria Bartiromo, the former Director of National Intelligence, the man who has likely seen every document that may have eventually ended up in Mar-a-Lago, is challenging the nature of the classified status of those documents. Ratcliffe does not believe the Mar-a-Lago documents are true national security documents, but rather documents that outline fraudulent ‘sources and methods’ used by the DOJ/FBI in their Trump targeting operation.
Keep in mind that as the DNI during 2020, Ratcliffe saw the documents that eventually became the material President Trump declassified and left with the DOJ to release after the Durham investigation was complete. If Ratcliffe’s suspicions are correct, and there is more valid reason to support his suspicions than oppose them, then the entire construct of the DOJ-NSD operation to retrieve those documents from Mar-a-Lago is factually one big cover-up operation.
