This country has been having a nationwide nervous breakdown since 9/11. A nation of people suddenly broke, the market economy goes to shit, and they’re threatened on every side by an unknown, sinister enemy. But I don't think fear is a very effective way of dealing with things—of responding to reality. Fear is just another word for ignorance.”

A lawyer who helps individuals recoup lost savings after being victimized by cybercrimes, Marc Maisch, warned in a recent interview with the German Die Welt newspaper that a major crime wave is on the horizon in which clever cybercriminals could scam millions of people out of their money with help from AI tools.

He explained: “AI is a great tool, but of course cybercriminals also use it to create phishing emails in order to have ChatGPT write malicious code that can be used immediately. And we haven’t yet talked about deepfakes and voice phishing, i.e., faces and voices are recreated.”

AI voice cloning scams are one concern that has been on the rise lately, with new technology enabling thieves to clone the voices of people they are targeting on social media so they can create fake calls in which they contact the victim's friends or family, impersonating the victim and claiming they are in danger and need money or access to sensitive information right away.

Several new studies out of Korea reveal that people who get vaccinated are much more prone than the unvaccinated to develop serious health conditions like ear disease and blood disorders.

Researchers looked at data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service to compared health outcomes between vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Pretty much across the board, vaccinated people are much sicker than unvaccinated people.

In one of the studies they looked at, researchers discovered that rates of 13 different immune-related non-fatal adverse events (irAEs) are notably higher among the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated. These non-fatal problems include menstrual disorder, bruising, tinnitus, inner ear disease and other forms of ear disease.

Footage shared by Israeli media appears to show Israel Defence Forces (IDF) troops rounding up scores of men and transporting them on the back of trucks.

The men are believed to have surrendered in the Jabalia refugee camp and other areas around northern Gaza, with Israeli outlet Walla saying they were stripped 'to rule out the possibility that they were carrying weapons'.

Dozens of captives are reported to have been paraded through Palestine Square in Gaza City, with shoes and sandals strewn across the street in one image.

When asked about the images, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari seemed to confirm that the men had been taken prisoner but did not clarify whether those pictured were members of Hamas or civilians.

In 1955, photographer Charles Hewitt visited Salvador Dalí and his wife (and muse) Gala at their home to shoot photos for a British editorial magazine called Picture Post.

The famous artist posed showing her true personality and did not miss the opportunity to surprise her audience. Hewitt titled the photoshoot simply "A Day with Salvador Dalí".

In 1930, a few months after his father had thrown him out of the house, unable to tolerate his strange personality, Salvador Dalí purchased a former fisherman's cottage.

The property was paid for with some of the 20,000 francs that the Viscount of Noailles had given him as an advance for a painting that later became The Old Age of William Tell.

In his memoirs, he writes about the difficulties of finding a new home and describes the new home as being like a real organic structure. Every new heartbeat in our lives had its own new cell, its own room. (...) I wanted it all to be nice and small – the smaller the more womb-like.

Over the next forty years, Dalí purchased neighboring cabins, gradually expanding the property into a sort of labyrinth of winding corridors and passageways, filled with artworks and strange installations that reflected his unique passions.

Despite weighing 80 tons, the rock is so finely balanced on its base that a child can rock it back and forth by applying only slight pressure. Known as Logan's Rock – from the Cornish word 'loging' meaning rocking – it is one of many such balancing rocks found in the county.
