Florida's governor accused critics of his move to fly migrants to Martha's Vineyard of 'virtue signaling', saying their concern for the welfare of the migrants was a 'fraud' - as California's governor said he should be investigated for possible kidnapping.

Ron DeSantis on Wednesday chartered a plane to send 50 people, mainly Venezuelans, to the exclusive Massachusetts holiday island.

The move sparked outrage among Democrats and human rights groups, who accused him of playing politics with peoples' lives and tricking the migrants with promises of expedited work permits if they boarded the plane.

On Thursday night, CNN reported that the migrants were in Texas, and then flown to Martha's Vineyard. Many said they had no idea where they were going.

Charlie Crist, the former governor of Florida who is now seeking to unseat DeSantis, called him a 'monster' for 'using children as a stunt'.

Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, wrote to the Department of Justice to request that DeSantis be investigated for kidnapping.

But DeSantis, widely considered to be contemplating a run for the White House in 2024, was defiant.

A Capitol rioter who wore an anti-Semitic 'Camp Auschwitz' sweatshirt over a Nazi shirt while storming the building has been jailed for 75 days.

Robert Keith Packer, 57, from Newport News, Va., pleaded guilty in January to a misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building, which carries a maximum sentence of six months of imprisonment.

Packer told the FBI he was about 10 to 12 feet away from rioter Ashli Babbitt when a police officer fatally shot her as she tried to climb through the broken window of a barricaded door leading to the Speaker's Lobby.

David Barnea, the head of Israel’s spy agency the Mossad, said on 12 September that Iran would not be granted “immunity” even if the US returns to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal.

“Even if a nuclear deal is signed it will not give Iran immunity from the Mossad operations,” Barnea said. “We won’t take part in this charade and we don’t close our eyes to the proven truth.”

In response, a spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry said: “We do not expect a terrorist regime [to do] anything other than terrorist actions.”

Barnea’s most recent threat came on the same day when Israel’s interim Prime Minister, Yair Lapid, arrived in Germany in an attempt to persuade its western ally to ditch the Iran nuclear deal.

Last week, the Mossad chief visited Washington to meet with several high security officials, including CIA Director William Burns, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

A 21-year-old Chicago man may have saved lives on Tuesday night when he fired back at shooters who were allegedly attacking his grandmother’s birthday party.

The man, who did not want to be identified, told WGN-TV he was at a birthday party for his grandmother at a home on the city’s Lower West Side.

A few of the relatives reportedly went to the back of the house to look at a new car that belonged to another cousin in the family.

After doing so, they started hearing sounds that they assumed were firecrackers. When the man looked at his cousin’s face, he realized it was more serious.

“I see my cousin’s face turn weird and I look to the right and see two gunmen at the end of the alley,” he told WGN.

The melt down over the 50 illegals flown to Martha’s Vineyard is fun to watch.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) on Wednesday sent two planes of illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.

The racist white limousine liberals on Martha’s Vineyard are not happy about their new poor, brown neighbors.

Martha’s Vineyard happily hosts thousands of tourists every summer, however when 50 poor illegals are dumped on the island it is a “humanitarian crisis.”

The freshly tarmacked runway at Damascus International Airport had barely dried out from lengthy repairs after an Israeli missile attack in June before maintenance workers were mustered for a new mission in Aleppo, where another runway had been damaged.

For the third time in three months, a Syrian airport had been targeted and disabled by Israeli night raids, in an apparent escalation unlike any seen before.

Israel has conducted hundreds of air strikes in Syria since 2011, targeting government troops, Iran-backed fighters and Hezbollah. However, targeting airports and paralysing aviation has been a noticeably more recent element in their policy.

And now, there are often just days between repetitive strikes on the same targets.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned on Thursday that Lebanon would suffer dire consequences if the Hezbollah terror group torpedoes US-mediated talks between Israel and its northern neighbor over a maritime dispute.

The dispute, which involves competing claims over offshore gas fields, escalated in June after Israel moved a production vessel near the Karish offshore field, which is partly claimed by Lebanon.

Gantz said ominously that if Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah wants to disrupt the ongoing talks, “he’s welcome to do so, but the price will be Lebanon.”

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund could provide about $1.4 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine almost immediately if its executive board approves a new "food shock window" that was discussed informally earlier this week, an IMF spokesperson said.

IMF officials were meeting with their Ukrainian counterparts in Sarajevo this week and would launch an in-person mission to start technical discussions, likely in Vienna, on a potential full-fledged program in the "near future," IMF spokesperson Gerry Rice told reporters on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent two planes carrying illegal immigrants to the island of Martha’s Vineyard.

Earlier on Thursday, Governor DeSantis addressed the media after transporting two planeloads of immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

During the press conference, he criticized the left saying “their virtue signaling is a fraud.”

“We are not a sanctuary state, and it’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and, yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures,” DeSantis said.

A whistleblower revealed the FBI labeled a veteran-led organization as a domestic terrorist group.

Ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Jim Jordan (OH) in a letter to FBI Director Wray said a whistleblower came forward and revealed a ‘woke’ analyst labeled American Contingency, a veteran-led group, a “domestic violent extremism” organization.

The veteran-led group was already cleared by the FBI as a ‘non-threat’ in 2020, but the woke analyst decided to target the group again.

Rep. Jordan’s letter referenced Project Veritas’ recent report on the FBI’s ‘domestic terrorism symbols guide’ on ‘militia violent extremists.’

According to the document leaked to Project Veritas, here is a partial list of ‘domestic terrorism symbols’:

  • Leaked document is labelled as “Unclassified/Law Enforcement Sensitive” that is for “FBI Internal Use Only.”
  • Under the “Symbols” category of the document, “2A” is listed with the following explanation: “MVEs justify their existence with the Second Amendment, due to the mention of a ‘well regulated Militia,’ as well as the right to bear arms.”
  • “Revolutionary War imagery” such as the “Gadsden Flag” and the “Betsy Ross Flag” are cited in the document under “Commonly Referenced Historical Imagery or Quotes.”

Von der Leyen, who arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday to meet with Zelenskiy, added that the EU needs to do as much as possible to ensure Ukraine has "more business, more income".

KYIV (Reuters) -Supporting Ukraine comes at a high cost, but freedom is "priceless," European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen told Reuters on Thursday amid soaring inflation and high energy prices in Europe.

Speaking in Kyiv, Von der Leyen reiterated that the bloc would be unwavering in its backing of Ukraine, as cracks start to appear among member states in how to further punish Russia for the invasion of its neighbour.

The EU's sanctions on Russia are finally having a deep and visible impact, Von der Leyen told Reuters in an interview hours after she met Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says the country has received an “advanced” oil tanker from Iran as part of a bilateral contract amid increasing cooperation between Tehran and Caracas in various fields.

“We have just received a ship with the most advanced engineering and technology in the world,” Maduro said according to Venezuelan state TV. He said that the ship was manufactured by Iran upon Venezuela’s order.

The oil tanker “now comes to serve as a cargo ship for our revolutionary PDVSA,” he added.

This is the third Iran-made oil tanker delivered to Venezuela. The South American country received the second tanker on June 11, 2022.
