China and Russia have the weapons to target America’s most valuable assets: satellites. In their quest for world dominance, outer space is the next battleground.
The United States has put both countries on notice, announcing that attacks on satellites could provoke a military response.
U.S. military and commercial satellites are critical for communication, surveillance, and navigation. And to our adversaries in the space race, they’re attractive strategic targets.
Stealth fighters like America’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and F-22 Raptor are often touted as being “invisible on radar,” but they’re actually not invisible at all. In fact, all of today’s modern stealth fighters, including China’s J-20 and Russia’s Su-57, are pretty easy to spot on even dated early warning systems that have been in service for decades.
Stealth designs minimize an aircraft’s radar signature, delaying and sometimes even preventing detection, but because of the physical requirements for tactical jets, stealth fighters can be easily spotted by certain low-frequency radar bands.
US President Joe Biden gave his second State of the Union address with the purpose to unite the country but apparently failed as his touting of his own accomplishments received heckling from the Republicans, highlighting fraught political divisions amid the looming economic recession. The increasing reference to China in the address may also hint bumpier bilateral relations ahead with polarized political atmosphere in Washington and fiercer political struggle as the election cycle nears, analysts said.
Starting with congratulations to new House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Biden, in his more-than-70-minute address, talked about US job growth, his infrastructure program, the rise in domestic manufacturing, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, oil dependency and America's strategic competition with China, US media reported.
Commenting on Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr's ongoing Japan visit, Chinese analysts warned that Tokyo might use economic cooperation as bait to lure Manila into the US-led camp that aims to contain China, which would result in militarization in the region, thus harming regional peace and stability.
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr arrived in Japan on Wednesday for a visit that is anticipated to pave the way for closer security ties with Tokyo. The two sides aim to sign seven key agreements during Marcos Jr's five-day visitto boost economic and defense cooperation, media reported.
Marcos' Japan visit comes shortly after he signed an agreement on February 2 granting the US greater access to its military bases, based on which Chinese observers warned that Japan might follow the US' suit and use economic bait to lure the Philippines to deepen security cooperation.
China urged the US to put aside its geopolitical obsession and immediately lift unilateral sanctions on Syria since Washington's long-term involvement in Syrian crisis with military intervention and economic sanctions has resulted in a large number of civilian casualties and difficulties in economic development and reconstruction process in the country.
Syria, which has experienced years of war and turmoil and was recently hit by a strong earthquake, is facing a serious humanitarian crisis and both the United Nations, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies have called for emergency assistance to victims in Syria to prevent further deterioration of the humanitarian situation there, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at Wednesday's press briefing in response to the US government's claim that it will not deal directly with the Syrian government.

The US has “unleashed a total hybrid war” against Russia and is putting the two nuclear nations on a path to direct confrontation, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said. It claims Washington’s demands for nuclear inspections in Russia are “cynical”, considering its “obvious” assistance in Ukrainian attacks against Russian strategic nuclear forces.

UK’s King Charles III held audience with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, according to footage showed by Sky News.
The monarch and the Ukrainian leader shook hands and exchanged a few phrases, which were inaudible.
Zelensky had already been given an audience at Buckingham Palace in October 2020, when he was received by the current sovereign’s eldest son Prince William and his wife Kate. Queen Elizabeth II refrained from official meetings at the time because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The World Health Organisation's pandemic treaty and International Health Regulation amendments are a threat to Australia's sovereignty.

The Biden administration had been intending to take out the Nord Stream pipeline since December 2021. This was two months before Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine, while Putin was amassing troops on the border.
It was "the first of a series of top-secret meetings," reports Seymour Hersh, and it was here that the crucial question was asked by the president's advisors, which was if they should recommend further economic sanctions to Biden, or something irreversible.
It was Jake Sullivan, Hersch reports, according to a source, who intended to concoct a plan to destroy two of the Nord Stream pipelines, known collectively as Nord Stream 1, that were delivering natural gas from Russia to Europe, and to recommend that course of action to the president.
Many plans and schemes as to how to go about this were entertained, but as they developed, the winning plan involved the use of deep-sea Navy divers, divers who were not part of any special forces units, as the use of those units had to be cleared by Congress and plans briefed to the Gang of Eight. This was not something Sullivan wanted to do.
The Naval deep-sea teams trained in Panama City, Florida, and by June 2022, Hersch reports, those divers, "operating under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22, planted the remotely triggered explosives that, three months later, destroyed three of the four Nord Stream pipelines, according to a source with direct knowledge of the operational planning."
The operation was staged in Norway, and the US team worked with the Norwegian Secret Service and their Navy. The Norwegians located the "right spot" for the explosives, and they also came up with the right time that would result in the least suspicion, which was during the BALTOPS 22. The explosives were planted, but it was determined by the White House that they should be detonated at a later date.
Florida is debating whether to join states like Vermont, Arizona, Maine, New Hampshire, Indiana, Texas, and Utah, and become the 26th state to allow its citizens to carry firearms without a government permit. Since criminals and mass shooters tend to ignore paperwork, the law is a reasonable way to ensure lawful Floridians are able to defend themselves and their communities.
The outrage over the permitless carry bill is, as one expects, already hysterical, emotional, and largely fact-free. Read this column from the perpetually confused Wajahat Ali, who stresses the dangers of permitless carry by pointing to incidents that are wholly unrelated to the prospective law. Or take the Newtown Action Alliance, which argues that “constitutional carry” — the term Second Amendment advocates often use to describe permitless carry — isn’t a real thing because the “constitution didn’t give anyone the right to carry guns publicly without permits, background checks, or training.”
First off, “constitutional carry” doesn’t affect “background checks” in any way. All Floridians who purchase a gun, whether they plan to carry the firearm or not, fill out the same NICS forms and are subjected to the same criminal checks. Newtown knows this, but as with the “universal background check” canard, the claim is meant to create the perception that mass murderers would be allowed to stroll into Wal-Marts and pick up their machine guns without any FBI check.
The phenomenon of “sudden deaths” being seen all around the world following the release of covid “vaccines” can be traced back to one common cause: the age-accelerating effects of spike proteins.
Spike proteins lodge inside every organ of the body, we now know, and once there they transform a person from young to old or from old to very old. This is why young people everywhere, including in-shape athletes, are dropping dead suddenly of cardiac events.
Walter M. Chesnut of WMC Research calls this phenomenon Spike Protein Endothelial Disease, or SPED, which he describes as Stage One of a disease he calls Spike Protein Progeria Syndrome (SPPS).
SPPS, Chesnut explains, is an endothelial reaction to the invasion of spike proteins into all major organs of the body. (Related: Check out this amazing component found in broccoli that could help the brain repair spike protein damage.)
“Consider this much like the shock of being submerged in freezing water, or being blasted with fire,” he writes. “There is INSTANTANEOUS damage: inflammation, coagulation and all that accompanies an insult to the Endothelium.”
“However, once the Spike Protein has INVADED the Endothelium of all the major organs, it then PROCEEDS TO INDUCE MISTRANSLATION OF mRNA IN EACH ORGAN.”
